Updating my last review-…read more I've gotten my lashes done by a good amount of lash techs and I've got to say Irma is the best. She truly cares about her clients and really takes the time to listen to what kind of look you're going for and simply what you're looking to get from lash extensions. Some women like a more dramatic look while others like to keep it simple. I love how professional she is and how she takes her time when applying each lash. She's the only lash tech that's ever thoroughly cleansed my lashes every time before my fills. Irma cares about the health of your natural lashes, never rushes during the application, and is honest about your expectations. I honestly can't emphasize how great she is. You can tell how much she loves what she does through her work and communication with her clients. I highly recommend her- it really doesn't get any better than this.

Contacted her a month before the event. She never answered. She still won't respond to any of my attempts. This is ridiculous. She didn't even reach out to me. Very disappointed.

So I am going to share my experience. I decided before I went on vacation that I would get my eyelashes done. I have had them before and have been wanting to do it again for awhile. I found a business in Sullivan named Lashed by Danielle. I called to make an appointment and told her that I had had lashes in the past but had some itching from the glue and would like to try the sensitive glue this time. She stated that was fine and made the appointment. You have to prepay for all services with her before she will book your appointment. I was skeptical but did it anyway. I went in for the appointment and everything went great. She did make a couple comments about why she felt I had itched the first time etc and not believing it was from the glue. I did not know that she did not use the sensitive glue until after the appointment and then within 24 hours was starting to have a full blown allergic reaction. My eyelids felt like they were on fire, swollen and itching so bad. I reached out and told her the problems I was having. She suggested Benadryl and lumify eyedrops. I was already taking the Benadryl. That evening I told her I was about to rip them off and she suggested I not because I would not have any lashes left. So Wednesday morning I got up and bought everything I could over the counter to try and get the lashes of with no results. She was not going to be able to see me till Thursday! I contacted her again and she was able to fit me in Wednesday afternoon. She applied the adhesive remover for 30 minutes with no luck. She did it again for 10 minutes. You guessed it. These damn things will not come off. She ended up having to banana peel them of my lashes one by one. I knew that the only way to stop the reaction was to remove the irritant. During the removal she stated she didn't use the sensitive glue because she had had her bottle for more than 2 months and that she has never in 4 years seen anyone react this way to the glue. I am upset because #1 requested sensitive glue and did not receive that. #2 I had prepaid for a fill when I got back from vacation with a tip. #3 not only did she not refund any money for the application of the lashes. She kept the money and tip I had prepaid for the fill and stated that it was for the removal. #4 I had irritation with my eyelids for my entire vacation and am just now starting to heal from it. I am so upset that a business can not provide services that you request. Cause you pain and suffering and then keep all your money. I would never recommend her business to anyone for anything after this experience. She was working out of Face Beautiful in Sullivan Missouri. I know that we will have mutual friends amd acquaintances that will disagree with me. I personally don't care. She should have given me the services I requested and since she didn't should refund all or part of my money for what I was charged and the removal should have been free. Terrible experience I do not wish to repeat!

I've had them done by two others in St Louis and someone in Cincinnati, chasing that elusive "decent brow". I'm not even looking for perfection, y'all! I'm an oily skinned red head so this isn't easy. I'm also missing the inner part of my brows thanks to the 90s plucking. The color gets pushed out and fades to grey. My person in Cincinnati was working on color correction but I stopped traveling with COVID so I needed to find someone local that wouldn't mangle them like the previous local place. Amber has done a fantastic job trying to color correct my grey. They looked great right after. I didn't even need those few days for them to settle down like before. I'm very hopeful that after my touch up, they will be warmer and coordinate with my red hair. Finding someone that can color correct is NOT EASY! (Another STL person said she couldn't even try). Amber is fantastic!
