I had a wedding to attend in Valencia, and knowing I'm useless at doing my own hair and makeup, I made an appointment to have both done before the event. It was such a great overall experience! From the moment I walked in the door, I was well taken care of by the very kind and attentive receptionist. I was offered a refreshment, and when that went dry, it was refilled without even having to ask. It's a small thing, but also a wonderful thing. Moony did my hair for me, and girl knows what she's doing! I brought in a few inspiration photos, and she made a few suggestions to make small changes to my desired style based on my hair type, face shape, etc. And she was totally right! By the time my hair was done (girl does WORK to get your hair to do what you want it to do. It looks like a killer upper body workout, while you're just sitting there, relaxed, sipping on a refreshment), it looked even better than I had imagined it could! I received so many compliments that night. I then moved on to Anet for my makeup. I again had some inspiration photos for that, but never thought my look would come close to that of a Hollywood movie star that has a team working on them for hours before a photo shoot. But within 35 minutes, Anet had duplicated almost exactly the look I brought, save for a few minor alterations she suggested based on my skin tone, eye color, etc. It was literally like watching magic happen on my face as she contoured, shaded and made my face look amazing. I was stunned I could look like that. And even though I most definitely looked very different than my normal minimal makeup look, I still looked very much like me. Anet managed to somehow capture my personality through makeup. I felt amazing the entire night, and like my hair, received soooo many compliments! What an overall amazing experience! Walked in today to get prices . I have short hair above the bump on the back of your neck with an under cut so basically not a lot of hair lol . I asked how much for beach waves and one small braid above the left side of my ear . Beach waves $40 and $10 for the braid . I asked you charge the same amount for short and long hair. The reception said yes we do. Which to me makes no sense I have less then half the amount of hair lol !! I will not spend 50 bucks plus tip for waves and a braid that's stupid . Oh well I will do it myself and have my sons GF do the braid . I think short hair should be less than long hair . Just saying read more

I've gone to Sascha Nicole, Keaton, Rachael, & Danielle here. All were very friendly and did a great job. I got a blow out with the first three and an updo with Danielle that rocked and was done SO fast. I have no complaints. They listened to what I wanted and gave me better than that without being different from that. If you've ever gotten your hair done and wondered where your communication with the stylist went wrong, you know what I'm talking about. I've been here three or four times and I've never been unhappy with the result. The location is easy to access. The environment is very girly and fun - definitely not a place your bf would feel comfortable in so just send him down a few buildings to wait at the BJ's bar. They serve you mimosas or (if you're like me) a glass of champagne when you get there which is a nice touch - especially if you're stressing before a big event like I usually am! The products they use for the wash and for the blow all smell good without being overwhelming and I'm sensitive to smell so I'd be the first to hate that! I've been contemplating on whether or not to write this review and decided that I probably should to let others know. First of all, this review is just for the extensions. There is only one person (Bryttani) that does them and she is extremely RUDE. Rude is actually an understatement for this girl. I got them back in November and had about 10 fall out within the first week. (I followed the directions of being gentle when brushing them, and sleeping with a braid). When I went back to get them put back in, Bryttani was extremely rude and condescending to me. I understand she was upset about taking her time to put them back in for me but there is no reason for such an attitude, especially for how much I paid for them and the big tip I gave her after she made me feel like she was doing me a favor. A few weeks went by and I had about 6 fall out so I scheduled a touch up to have them moved up. The day I came in Bryttani was complaining about how she had a UTI, and how she was in pain. I asked her if she wanted me to reschedule and she said no, she'll be ok. She continued to complain which made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Some info should be kept to yourself! She moved my extensions up but refused to put the ones that fell out back in. She said she'll do it next time. Mind you, I paid $100 for this. I came in later that week for a blow dry with Emily who is AWESOME by the way. I asked if Bryttani could put the extensions that fell out back in. Apparently she was on break. I saw her walk back and forth a few times, didn't even acknowledge me to schedule a time, and even said very loudly to the receptionist, "I'm not doing her extensions!" Yea, I got the point. I feel like everyone there walks around on eggshells around her. It's awful. When I left, the receptionist told me that I had to schedule another maintenance to have them put back in. Sorry, but I'm not paying another $100 to be spoken to like a child and hear about a UTI. Anyhow, I found another salon and an amazing stylist who does the same kind of extensions. If you want extensions, don't go here, go to the Veil Of Grace and talk to Kasey. She's so nice and extremely knowledgeable. Also, she washes and styles your hair when she does the maintenance, and Bryttani does not. read more

I have always had a hard time finding someone that can straighten my hair where it looks good, no frizz, lasts a while,etc. I must say that the Blo Out Lounge has exceeded my expectations. I had the worst make up experience here! When I called to make my appointment I told the receptionist that I was getting married and needed hair and make up for the following week but would like a trial because I know I have trouble areas (oily T zone , dry skin near chin area) on my face and wanted to make sure my face looked and felt flawless the day of the wedding. The receptionist was rude and basically told me I didn't need one the person she booked me with is part of their bridal team and promised me with the airbrush bridal make up would be cover and hide all my flaws and swore my face wouldn't get oil throughout the ceremony or reception. I was still unsure of it and demanded a trial. I go in for my trial and no one greeted me as I came in finally when the receptionist came to check me in she introduced me to my make up artist. I believe her name was Marilyn, first off she didn't ask if I wanted anything to drink and maybe I'm just used to better salons always offering and making sure the customer is comfortable but that wasn't the case here. I showed her what I wanted and she looked at the pictures for less than a second and started working on concealer. I tried to explain my trouble area and it seems she was more interested in starting and finishing the job. During the service she kept mentioning the poor lighting. I could not agree more! The pink from the shades made everything have a pink tint there was no natural lighting or bright light bulbs any where near to really see my make up. When she was done I thought it looked amazing. I actually left happy but as soon as I got to my car to see my make up in natural light I burst into tears with how TERRIBLE it looked! My skins was oily more oily than normal my pore when larger than before and my make up was SO DARK for what I wanted and asked for! I could see where she tried to contour and it was so poorly done I had to rush home to wash my face before running the rest of my errands. I immediately called from the parking lot instead of walking back to the salon because I was so embarrassed of the way I looked. The receptionist seemed very fake and didn't try to solve the problem at all. I immediately cancelled the 3 appointment I had made for hair and make up for myself and family members. The receptionist said in the most fake condescending way " I guess I can have the owner call you" it has been more than 24 hours since my visit and I don't know why I'm surprised but I didn't receive a call from the owner or manager in effort to make this right. I spent over $80 on this service and feel cheated and robbed. Stay away from this place! read more
