I should have written this review long ago. I am fortunate to have been referred to my amazing hair stylist Jenny. I have thick, coarse, wiry hair. I have had some awful experiences in the past with hair stylist who are unfamiliar with my hair type. Well I believe Jenny specializes in my unruly hair!! She is consistent with my hair style. I will get compliments from strangers on how beautiful my hair looks. If you want someone who is professional and super friendly I highly recommend Jenny. Her salon is always clean including the bathroom which I tend to judge cleanliness on bathrooms. If I could rate her and innovation salon higher than a 5 I would!! Beautiful little salon, the girls are so nice and they are always selling adorable items. They had a sale rack today of clothes, inside they have bags and other accessories. The chairs are comfortable, and there's magazines to read. I'd call ahead for an appointment for a hair cut, colors wash, etc. Worth going in if you're local as well, large parking lot and right next to club Pilates and Ralph's. read more

I cannot recommend Linet enough! I've been to a few lash techs before, but she truly blew me away. She's super detailed, gentle, and really takes her time to make sure everything looks perfect and wow she did amazing. She did exactly what I wanted but even better. The space is clean, cozy, and relaxing, and she made me feel totally comfortable the whole time. If you're looking for someone who really knows what they're doing, she's your girl. read more

This is my 3rd time coming to this salon. I had taken a break from coloring and treating my hair but Jenny has been amazing and always leaves me feeling so vibrant and refreshed. These women have such a great vibe and amazing energy. They have such a cute boutique and very reasonably priced jewelry and clothing options. I love that I always see men and women being serviced here. This salon has a welcoming small town feel but will leave you feeling luxuriously pampered. Would not recommend walk in service or even to ask a simple question. You will be ignored. A few months ago I went in to ask about services, not one person even acknowledged me. So I walked out. A few months later (today) I walk in to again, ask about services. AGAIN, no one even acknowledged me. Two of 3 clients did (thanks!) but the employees did not. A simple 'Hi' goes a long way. I found Tabitha 3 years ago and I am beyond happy to have found her. When I first contacted her, she was quick with responding and provided dates right away. She listens to what you want and executes beyond expectations. She is great talking with the conversations are never dull. She makes the whole process an enjoyable getaway for you and your hair. Jenny did an exceptional color on my hair the first time, so of course, I came straight back after I royally destroyed my hair. I used Overtone to add purple, then tried to strip it. Let us just say I'm never doing that again and only trusting Jenny with my hair from now until eternity. The cut was effortless, she is an artist! Updating my review because customer service has been awesome! As soon as I walked in today the receptionist greeted me and asked me if I wanted water or coffee. I love that they apologized for the customer service the last time I was here, I appreciate it. Linet who does eyebrows here, was amazing as always, she really understands eyebrows! She always makes them flatter my face, and she's just such a professional. I will never go to anyone else. I haven't tried any other services here so I have no opinion I that. I was terribly disappointed with Jenny from Innovations Salon. She is a co-owner with Janelle, who is amazing. Jenny asked me to come in an hour earlier. I did. When I arrived she had another customer who was just having color. I was told 15 mins. I sat for 15 minutes. and said I would be outside. I was outside for 30 mins. more. Not one time did she come outside to say, Bear with me, it will be a few minutes, would you like a bottled water, etc. etc. I was upset. Opened the door and told her that I found her to be rude. Now please keep in mind that my friend is around a lot of LOUD machinery, so she is a little hard of hearing. My friend was getting a cut and color. The stylist and her were talking and she spoke a little loud. She made one remark, " That's great!" I could hear her outside for just that one remark, but nothing else. After that the Owner of the salon, went over to her and told her, she needed to be quiet, she was being to loud and and a few other things and gave her a very dirty look. I entered the salon then, and went over to my friend and ask her what that was all about. She told me nothing really. I moved to the waiting area, and as I was looking around the owner gave me a dirty look. There are much better salons in the area. The salon is very small, it's a tight squeeze in there. The owner, as you can read, is a total rude. The other stylists, except for maybe 2 are also rude. read more

This review is for Marilynn for gel manicure at this salon. This is my second time with her (yes, I know, I know....I should have never gone back to her), and having said that first time she was running late and this time she was running late also. I am not talking about 5-10 minutes late. I have a life and other pre-engaged arrangements too, that's why I made an appointment. She figured if she just apologized for being late, everything will be fine. Everything would have been had she called me back. She did not even bother to call me back even though I asked her to to schedule another time. I gave her a chance to call me back before writing this review to give her the benefit of the doubt. She did not call me back, so here is the truth. She is just an ok manicurist. Her gel manicure will last barely a week and will start chipping away, does not even close to being compared with the other place where my gel manicure last a good two full weeks and longer (so sad that the other place is too far away). If you have time to wait and if you don't mind her not being on time, then it is your choice if you want to go to her. Just thought I would let the people who are very punctual and want to deal with people who respect your time. read more

I have not gotten my nails or hair done here so I'm not sure of their services but everyone there is extremely sweet and one of my girlfriends has been getting her hair done here since high school. However, Linet is absolutely AMAZING. I can't rave about her enough. I've been going to her for about 4 years now when she used to work at elegant shapes and have and will follow her wherever she goes. She is always booked so I recommend making an appointment with her if you can. She is extremely patient and takes her time and always makes sure you are satisfied with your eyebrows or any services you book with her! She is also just the sweetest woman and has the best heart. We have the most enjoyable 45 minutes every 2 1/2 weeks. I also get my eyelash extensions done with her. They look amazing and extremely natural! I've always had pretty average straight eyelashes so she's really stepped my eyelash and brow game up. Also my eyelashes have become so much longer since I've had the extensions due to the fact that I no longer have to wear mascara! read more

Linette is uneducated in the lash department. Her style is very old school (have to wait 18 hours before wetting lashes). Artists who keep up to date have a mist that cures the glue and allows you to wet them immediately. Lashes didn't last long at all compared with other artists I have tried since. Fills only took 45 minutes and felt very rushed, never felt as though I got my money's worth. She also texted at odd hours to confirm an appointment (12 am/ 5am). Also had an instance of her forgetting that I had made a lash appointment... luckily I was still able to get them filled. Won't be going back. read more

It's tricky to get a nice layers cut on my hair, without cutting too much, yet, cutting enough so that it doesn't feel so heavy for me to handle and style. Tabitha did an amazing job! I've been going to Jenny since I moved back to the Stevenson Ranch area after living in various states for years. I've been to hair salons in LA, DC, Toronto, Chicago, Milan, and more. I think Jenny and Innovations are comparable to any amazing salon you can find in a larger metropolis. She's the best and I consider her a friend. I'm able to talk to her about anything while I get a great haircut. As a dude, I felt pretty comfortable there despite the 99% female clientele and staff. Janelle is definitely the way to go with a nice haircut. I'm a guy with very curly hair, and she does a great job making you feel comfortable, and putting her stylings into your vision for a haircut.
