This was our first time trying this new pizza place. We got a deep dish pizza and a margarita pizza. The deep dish was not a deep dish - it was nothing but A TON crust a little bit of sauce. The margarita pizza was not very flavorful and was a signature pizza. Normally I'm not one to write a poor review but we paid $70 for two pizzas and 3 side salads that were extremely watery and only had a handful of lettuce. I know places are struggling due to covid - but that's no excuse to charge $5 extra per pizza and serve bad food. Prices online say $19.95 per pizza which is kinda high and we got charged $25 per pizza. Not at all satisfied with today's service and won't be going back. read more

This place is definitely closer to the fast food model than a dine-in restaurant. Prices are moderate considering you have to line up to order ($10.95 for lasagne). And then there was a pretty long wait time. Luckily the staff are friendly and brought the food directly to our table. As for the quality, it was your average family-style Italian (we tried the pasta and the tiramisu but did not have any pizza so cannot comment on that). Some of the best pizza I've had anywhere! We were in Loveland for a family visit and this happened to be close to our location for the week. We got three pizzas; one deep dish cheese (absolutely amazing crust and good quality cheese), a regular crust with beef (once again, superb crust with a great crunch), and a combo on regular crust (with very fresh ingredients and a light but flavorful sauce). One more note, the pizzas were HUGE and very reasonably priced for the quality. We fed seven people for dinner and ended up with enough left over for two lunches for five. I don't like ranch dressing and didn't want to pay the extra $1.50 just for something I was going to throw out but it was required to proceed. Super-friendly staff, great speed (considering what they are making), and a nice dining room with cool stuff on the walls, several TVs, and many awards. Just listening to the chefs and their assistants throw pies and put together orders gives a genuine NY feel! I've been trying pizza from some different, recommended places here in Loveland recently. Quite frankly, I'm a pizza snob who is sure can make better pizza than any place here in town. But I'm trying to give some business to local-owned restaurants right now, and what better way to see if I'm right? Blocky's was pretty good. The crust was nice, it had a bit of chew to it and a nice flavor. So many pizza's are just bread-y when it comes to their crust, but this was decent. I ordered meatball for topping, and they were obviously from real meatballs they crumbled up. I would've liked them to be a little more garlic-y, but that's just a personal preference. Sauce and cheese was ok, but nothing special. They have a "spicy" sauce option, so maybe next time. I did notice the pizza didn't have any "grease" to it. IMO, a little greasiness on the pizza isn't a bad thing; drizzle a little olive oil on that thing before you bake it! Mine's still better, but Blocky's is certainly worthwhile. Good value, as well I think. And I certainly want to try some of their other items, like the spaghetti/ravioli/etc. 5/7 would recommend to others! :) read more

Visiting a town far away from where you live can be a culinary odyssey, yet unlike Ulysses if you review Yelp you won't be trapped by Sirens of bad food or smashed by Cyclops sized bills. A search of Yelp led us to this oasis of pizza! Arriving an hour before closing one would think that service would be lackluster and grudging at best, that was not the case here! We were greeted as we walked in and treated like the first customer of the day. Recommendations were made and our order was placed, they promptly began crafting a fresh pie for us. We ordered a serving of garlic knots as an appetizer and we both could have made a meal on the butter warm garlic goodness! The pizza was served with the cheese almost still bubbling hot, it cooled as we finished off the garlic knots, though it was difficult to not too dive in to it as the aroma drifted around the table. The pizza was among the best we had ever sunk a tooth to, it was obvious that fresh ingredients were used and canned or frozen ingredients were used at a minimum. Our bellies already full from the knots and we feasted on the pizza till we thought they would burst. As a side note the pizza that was left over was even better the next day! read more

We had the margherita pizza (excellent, one of the best pies we've ever had) and the a Sicilian with prosciutto and jalapeño. The Sicilian was thinner than the regular, which was unexpected. Also, the delivery service they employ had our pizza in their possession, outside of the restaurant for over an hour. We will give it another chance. read more

We ordered this from Orderup last night. I ordered at 6:00 and it was here about 6:25. The driver was nice enough. Food was still piping hot. We'd never eaten here before but I wanted eggplant Parmesan because an old wives tale says it's good for inducing labor. Ha! Other than going to Olive Garden I didn't know where to turn. Found Blockys has it over spaghetti or in a sandwhich form. I don't like spaghettti but wanted it anyway so I got the sandwhich. My husband got a Philly cheese steak and my kids got spaghetti and meatballs. We also ordered garlic knots. The knots were delicious! My husband said the Philly sandwhich was great too. Better than Taste of Philly. Kids loved the spaghetti. My big complaint is the sandwhich I got was repulsive. Eggplant parm should be crispy. This sandwhich was SO soggy. It seems like the put the eggplant parm on and the "breading" turned to mush which made the sandwhich bread turn to mush. The eggplant lost all its coating in this mushy mess. I tried to salvage the pieces of eggplant since that was the whole reason we ordered but they were CHEWY. It was so freakin gross. Just this mushy pile of nasty. I'm giving them four stars because maybe it was a fluke as my family enjoyed their meals. At almost $10 for the eggplant sandwhich I definitely would never order that again. Super bummed and will have to venture out somewhere that actually knows how to make eggplant parm! Updated to say after this review the owner contacted me and gave me a credit to try again. I've only been living here for three years, and I'm from Connecticut, so finding a decent pizza place has beeb a bit hard. I don't like a lot of the big chains because whatever they do their pizza makes me ill. This place however is a god send. I failed to look at the prices for this place. I had assumed that the pizzas were more of a typical price. Two "large" pizzas (large in quotations because they were extra large) for over $55! I had sticker shock. Hoping that it would be pretty much the best pizza ever for that price, I was utterly disappointed. Pizza was floppy, flavorless, and soggy. Total waste of money. We've been to this place several times now and really like their subs and pizza. Had a "Works" cheesesteak today which was quite tasty. We found it very convenient to grab food to-go enroute to local breweries that don't have kitchens. But if you'd rather eat in, Blocky's has about a half dozen craft brews on tap. Nice! read more
