While requesting for quotes from various air duct cleaning services, Blodgett has a clear pricing policy and walked you through how to count the number of intake/return air ducts. While performing the services, John was friendly and professional and showed me how to maintain the air ducts by changing the filter with the appropriate permeability. Even better, approximately 3 weeks later, my filter was blown out of places somehow, John came by the next day and had it taken care of. The wind cap blew off our chimney last week, when we had very high winds in Corona. Two pieces came crashing down into our side yard. The other 2 stayed together, but were very loose and flapping around in the wind on top of the chimney. My son went up on the roof and got them down for me. I searched yelp for a good repair company, and thought I'd try this one since the reviews were excellent. Jeff and Landon were AMAZING! They were polite, professional and very efficient at getting things fixed for us, on a Friday night at 5:45! They just had to put the pieces back together that had blown off. Jeff did this on the street with no problems. Then Landon went up on the roof and installed the assembled wind cap, using better screws than the originals, and also applied some weather-stripping that was never there before to prevent leaks. He inspected the damage and assured me that everything else looked good up there. I was VERY impressed with their service and work ethics, and would definitely use them again. Their prices are also very fair. I received a senior discount AND their $15 off coupon. Jeff told me the price I paid would be applied to any future repairs up to 1 year, so I didn't have to pay that amount again! That was good to know. The only improvement I would suggest is: when you call in, the lady just says "hello".....so it's a bit confusing to know if you actually have called Blodgett's or not. Most businesses do answer with their name. Just a minor point. Don't bother calling around. This company should be your FIRST choice! You will NOT be disappointed with their service. First time home buyer with a fireplace. First off you never know what is in your chimney, or when it was last cleaned when you are a first time home buyer. We saw great reviews about Blodgetts and decided to give them a try. I really liked how they tell me what time the person will arrive, for example 12-1pm. Donnie arrived at 12:30pm and was very friendly and went straight to work. We informed him about our worries regarding our chimney cap having a hole in it and possibly pigeons inside laying eggs. Let me say.... THANK GOD WE HAD OUR CHIMNEY SWEPT BEFORE EVER STARTING OUR FIREPLACE. Donnie found 3 dead birds and a bunch of bird feathers clogged up. Donnie said it appeared our chimney had not been cleaned in YEARS! Getting your chimney swept and going with Blodgetts is an INVESTMENT and not to mention a health benefit because bird poop can be toxic. I was looking for a reputable chimney cleaning company and happened upon Blodgett's website. iIt was a welcome surprise to see they also clean dryer vents and can even tackle when the dryer is in the middle of the house, not against an outer wall.
