Called on a Wednesday and was able to schedule for Saturday to clean the dryer vent. Luis came out and was efficient and thorough. Great opportunity to see what's fallen behind the washer and dryer and tidy up back there. He created a more efficient hose length from the dryer to the wall. Luis came out today and was very polite, very conscientious and very thorough. When he did the usual brush and vaccum /blower, he texted my dryer and it still wasn't hot. So then he spent time going into the attic and taking the duct apart. From the attic he then brushed out the entire duct from the roof to the laundry room. Phillip the owner, responded to my request for a quote within a half an hour. I explained the services that I was looking for - the chimney cleaned and our air ducts cleaned. My son has asthma and this was long over due. They were both in need of being serviced after not having service for many years. In conversation Philip recommended that I consider allowing them to do my dryer vents. This wasn't something I had even considered and he worked out a program with me that I could afford to be able to add that on. What I didn't realize was that cleaning the dryer vents was probably the most important service that I received today. I had my dryer vent cleaned with this company and they literally took 15 minutes. I'm still in shock while writing this review. They used a small fan and blew out the lint instead of using a vacuum. What you see in the picture was everything they brought. My kitchen floor and balcony was left with lint everywhere (see uploaded pics). I also read on Jack W's review from the owners comment that they won't charge you if they get dust inside the house because they use a double filter vacuum but I guess not for me. Well...time for me to clean up this mess... Service was okay. I was expecting great service after reading so many great reviews. Plus gentlemen was 17mins late, even after confirming appointment at 7:40am on the morning of service. Didn't get a message that he was running late. Actual inspection is was about 5min. Total service was done in 30mins. Gentlemen said all looked good and he was going to clean it. I asked if he was going to go on the roof to check the top of our chimney. He said, no because we have long extensions to clean to the top. I did mention to him that chimney wasn't used in over 2 years and really wanted to make sure it was safe to use. He just said, it had a lot of spider webs. It just wasn't the service I expected for $135 plus $3 processing charge for using my card. read more

Scheduling a duct cleaning service with A-1 was really easy. They provided a 1 hour window and the name of the technician. Luis called us about 15 minutes before the start of the window to let us he was running 30 minutes late. I really appreciate this kind of courtesy and communication and Luis still made it within the original window. Luis did an excellent job cleaning out our ducts that probably haven't been cleaned in 20+ years. He took his time to make sure they were thoroughly cleaned. He was also very conscientious about keeping the areas he was working in clean. He changed out our furnace air filter as well.
