i had an appointment today with Lexi to get my haircut and colored. when i made the appointment 2…read moreweeks ago i had to request an appointment in which i had to give my name, email and phone number in which were all up to date. i got a call the same day with an appointment time, in which i was very happy. but when i got to the appointment today as soon as i walked in the girl sitting at the desk looked at me sideways so from the second i walked in i felt a way, she then asked how she could help me and i said i had an appointment with lexi, she then tells me she tried to call me in which i never got a call at all, to tell me lexi was sick. i took off a whole day of work to get my hair done, so at this point im livid, i asked what number they called and she said my old phone number. when i scheduled the appointment request they had the correct number and called me to make the appointment! so why was my number not updated? it was giving rude and lazy, and they really didnt care i felt a bad vibe the second i walked in and honestly i wasted my whole day and lost money, it was just unprofessional that they had the correct number to make the appointment but not the right number to let me know she had to reschedule? no. i will never go here again, on top of they never let me know their address changed when i made the appointment so i went to their old location at first, they clearly don't have it together and are very rude. 0/10! never again!

I came to her really disappointed and weary after going to a pricey and well-known salon in the city where they did not give me the cut or color I asked for and left my hair underwhelmed and halfway done. I understand going from natural brown hair in a double process while maintaining healthy hair is a process but it seemed that my requests were taken with a grain of salt. Danielle listened to my previous experience, all my concerns and took the time to understand what I was looking for, setting clear expectations prior to scheduling our appointment together. She did exactly what I wanted and I am so extremely happy. I paid almost half the price of the other salon and she exceeded every expectation, from the amazing hospitality while sitting in the chair to her following up with me after my appointment and more. Today I decided to go there and dye my hair. It was strange as they called me two days ago to let me know to come earlier and that someone else from the person that I had booked online would take care of me. The person who was dying my hair for a year now is not there anymore. Most of the people who were taking care of me before are not there anymore. Today it was the worst experience ever! I am really disappointed with the service. My hair looks awful. I wish I have not used them. My advice as I run my own business--The staff should be more caring about customers and should not experiment with other people's hair. The difference of colors on my hair was absolutely obvious. My hair before was a clear blond color and now the roots are yellow/brown! They were pretending that was all great instead of trying to fix the problem before me paying and leaving the premises. As soon as they told me that I was done with the styling and hair treatment, I approached the register to pay and it was there I made the complaint. The staff knew in advance that they performed malpractice on my hair treatment. They were hoping that I would not have noticed but I stayed silent until I go to the register. I understand that people can make mistakes but no one has owned up to it to say I am sorry. They were making me feel that they were the victims when indeed they had control of my hair and head. If you love and respect your hair, you will not commit color suicide to your hair.

One of their long time colorist/stylist severely damaged my hair, which is so frustrating because you can't undo this damage and it's impossible to hide. I asked Melissa to lighten my hair a little bit with single process color as I find bleach is too damaging, so she tells me there is no way to lighten my hair unless bleach is used (I achieved this result using store bought color in the past, so I don't know why a salon can't use a superior product to do same) BUT fine I say and she mixes up an ash color blonde telling me it will pretty much match up my roots to rest of head. Well, she applies the color and puts my under heat lamps for what had to be 35 to 40 minutes, this was obviously too long of process time for my fine, thin hair. She was preoccupied working on another client while my hair was frying...you would think they have a shampoo girl/assistant to wash the color out when needed NOT have a client wait with chemicals on their hair. Finally, she washed, cut and blew out my hair. First, I see the color is actually darker than my natural blonde color, but I let that go even though it was the complete opposite of what I was asking for. I also notice a lot of fly away hairs on top of my head, but she slaps on some serum and smoothes them down. So, the next day after I wash my hair and dry it I really notice a ton of broken hairs along the entire crown of my hair down through the shafts too. I have never had such DAMAGE caused to my hair before and to think this is a professional in the haircare industry is really frightening. Needless to say I will never give this salon another chance and I strongly suggest you stay away.

I made my appointment for a full head of highlights weeks in advanced. Val suggested I highlight my crown since the hair at the nape of neck had some breakage. I was ok with that but, she still could have given me at least a half a head of highlights. The breakage was minimal, at the base of my neck and unnoticeable. I told Val I loved her Instagram and wanted exactly that - icy white highlights. The colorist I previously went to made my hair orange and I said I am looking to avoid that. She nodded as if she understood what I was saying. I asked for a blow out when we are done but, Val said she didn't have time and was running behind. I don't know how that is possible since she just cut my appointment in half by only highlighting my crown and not my whole head. Throughout the appointment Val seemed preoccupied and was on her cell phone most of the time. She seemed like she was rushing not because she was behind but because she wanted to get out of there like she had somewhere else she needed to be. I left the salon with a wet head and paid $275 for my highlights in my crown area. When I got home, I blew out my hair and noticed I had brassy orange spots throughout. I messaged Val on Instagram letting her know and she became pretty defensive and unhelpful. She was arguing with me that the orange I was seeing is from the previous colorist, she said I could come in and she would put more highlights in. She said she would get back to me with a time and day .. obviously that never happened. She just didn't seem to care at all and the NEW highlights were done incorrectly. Below is a photo of the freshly done color by Val and my old color done 4 months prior. I also posted a photo of my hair after 2 washes - the toner/gloss is clearly not there anymore and the brass/orange is even more pronounced. Like I said this was my first time there and my last. Also, fear of scissor-happy hairdressers who take off too much hair and don't listen to your wants and needs. You may ask, "Why Mandi, what caused you to get haircutophobia?" I'll tell you a story. I was four, and I had lovely long, long, curls. My older brother was growing bored of cutting the hair of his teddy bear, so he thought it would be wise to attempt his newfound skills on his kid sister. Guess who started kindergarten that year with an awful bowl haircut to her ears? Yep. This girl. Sigh. As such, ever since that fateful day, my quest for the perfect hairdresser has been on. I realized I had bookmarked this place some time ago, and with an upcoming vacation I decided to call. I asked the receptionist who she recommended for long hair, and she said "Michael". Conveniently, he was available for an appointment the following day at 10:30 am. I came in this morning and met Michael, who recognized me from Sephora days, and I recognized him as well. We were off to a great start, and I immediately felt comfortable. He talked to me about what I wanted and we had our game plan. This is the first time ever at a salon that the person who cut my hair, also washed and blew out my hair. I was VERY impressed with this, as many salons will have one person shampoo you, then you get your haircut, and sometimes another person will blow out your hair. I have A LOT of hair, and I knew it can be a pain to have to blow dry but Michael loved it and said it was one of his favorite parts of doing hair. Umm...then wouldja mind coming by my place every a.m. to do it? Pretty please? I never felt rushed and the total time spent from start to finish was about an hour and fifteen minutes. Michael gave me an AMAZING haircut, I feel like a total superstar. Watch out, Beyoncè! Mandi's in town! This is one of the best, if not THE best, hair cut I have ever had. I've received many compliments already, my parents loved it, the boy loves it, I love it. And as an added bonus, I ran into a few people that I hadn't seen in a very long time at Target afterwards looking fab-u-lous. Don't ya just love that feeling? I finally had the time and messaged her directly telling her what I wanted with some inspo pictures. She said she was booked for weeks, but would set me up with one of her girls, Erica. She advised me to come in for a consult so that Erica can see my hair. I went in for my consult and Erica was great. After my consult we made an appointment! It was time for my appointment! I reminded Erica of what I wanted and she listened 100%! I wanted black with blue. She advised me there are a lot of different blues and she showed them all to me. I walked out with I believe 4 different blues! My hair was better than I could have imagined. Erica brought so much life back to my hair. So why 4 stars and not 5? When I paid I was not advised of the fee for using a card. It also isn't advertised anywhere. I didn't know until I got my receipt. I wish the receptionist either told me when I handed her the card or even after. If I didn't ask for my receipt I never would have known and would have thought I was charged the wrong amount on my statement.
