Visited Blondie for the first time for their Valentines Day pre fixe special. I wanted to love this place but the service was very slow and the food was overpriced for the quality. We were disappointed with the experience. It's a beautifully decorated place, we enjoyed the cocktails and appetizers but our entrees took about an hour from when we placed our order. Our server was really considerate and apologetic, even comped a round of drinks which we really appreciate but it was such a long wait for our food. My boyfriend's soup was cold when it came out. I got the lobster Ravioli and it was tasty, but we ended up spending $250 for a poor experience and food that was just okay. read more

Today was my first time visiting Blondie and I went in with no expectations due to the mixed reviews, after entering and being greeted by the hostess who was wearing a large oversized hoodie we were seated in a pretty dark alley but we could hear the servers talking among themselves and we hadn't been greeted after at least 10 minutes. Then our waitress/hostess because it was the same girl who sat us came over she got us started and everything as far as drinks came out pretty quickly. We ordered the apple fritters and were told the dinner menu started at 5, we tried ordering a entree side appetizer and were told they were only serving 5 of their entree items tonight. We had another round of drinks and the chicken wings and decided to eat elsewhere. While the food we did get to try was pretty good they still need time working out whatever hiccups they have going on as far as the service/professionalism/kitchen areas. I wasn't impressed with my experience. I had dinner with a friend and despite a mostly empty restaurant, we were seated behind a pillar next to a maintenance door very tucked away. We aren't influencers but we were dressed fairly given the other customers, so I'm not sure why this was the case. Given our terrible location it took 15 minutes before anyone visited us, although our waiter did apologize for the delay. I have nothing against the waiter for his service at our table, but he definitely seemed busy with other tables so we didn't engage much. Food came out quickly. We were there on a Sunday and the music was quite loud, even from our corner. It's probably best as a restaurant before a night out, not so much as a catch up with a friend. The food was fine! We had the mussels and the roast chicken. Nothing amazing, but nothing bad. I had a cocktail as well which was good. My first visit here was dinner, and it was not great. The food was pretty bad, the service was slow, and the bill was super expensive. Drinks were great! Second visit was brunch food was okay and service was better, but still slow for an almost empty place. Third time going we just wanted a couple drinks and sat at the bar. With two bartenders and a fairly empty restaurant it was odd we were not served for 20 minutes. Once our first drinks were finished we actually thought the bartender was ignoring us because she looked over about 5 times and never came over to serve us. We ended up getting a check after 50 minutes and one drink because of how terrible the service was. Three strikes youre out we wont be back. We had brunch this past Sunday morning. It was our first time here, and our last The one positive was that our server was very good; polite, professional and personable. The only thing he left out was that there is a $3 up-charge to switch from toast to an English muffin that he raved about. When we walked in, the noise was intense and loud. I couldn't hold a conversation or hear the waiter. He had trouble hearing us, too. Not just a little loud; almost unbearably loud. The menu looked good but limited. We started with Mimosas, which were available with five different fruit juices. We had orange and pineapple. They were not fresh juices, but canned and pretty weak. The cheap champagne came through a little too strong. One and done. I had the bacon and eggs-and-cheese platter. Eggs and home fries were good. It came with just two slices of thick cut bacon--on a $17 bacon and eggs entree--that was very fatty and very overcooked. One slice was blacked an crumbled. Then that highly-touted, $3, hand-made English Muffin. It was pretty bad. It was served dry. They only offered a honey butter, which I passed as I don't like honey. The muffin was dry, doughy and tasteless. I didn't even eat a third of it. My wife had the fried egg cheese and bacon sandwich on a brioche roll. The roll was pretty good but her bacon was even fattier than mine. A Wawa Sizzli would have been a better choice. Blah. After all the IG posts and videos recommending this place, it didn't live up to the expectations, maybe the ambience and the vibe but that was about it. So I had brunch reservations for 2pm. I made same day reservations so I could be seated when I arrived instead having to wait 15-20 minutes for a table. I got there a few minutes early and there was no one there to greet me at the counter. They looked a bit busy but not overwhelming. I waited for a good 5 minutes before anyone even acknowledged that I was waiting. Someone finally came over and confirmed my reservation, but then just left for another 5 minutes, came back, checked the screen again, left again, and came back again. Then she proceeded to ask the couple in line behind me did they have a reservation when she had not even communicated with me what was going on. I was happy when someone else walked up and lead us to our table. Cute place, perfect for IG photos and it was a vibe, enjoyed the music on the walk alll the way to the back of the restaurant. At first I thought this is good it was only one other table back there with us. Boy was I wrong, we still waited a good 10 minutes before someone even came over to acknowledge us or give us water. Asked for bottled water, another 5 minute wait. Once we are finally ready to place our order, the waiter lets us know that they are out of some of the items (insert eye roll here), or no problem order something else. ONce we give him our order, THEN he tells us, oh yeah there will be about a halfhour wait on the food because we have a private event upstairs sothe kitchen is really backed up, I'm like I wish you would have told me that during reservation or even before we order, we could have went down the street. My husband thought fast and ordered some fries as an "Appetizer" We ordered the chicken and waffles and he had the lobster breakfast sandwich. Once the food finally came out - 45 minutes later, it was subpar at best. The chicken and waffles, looked NOTHING like what is posted on their instagram page - had no frills, no garnish and the chicken was over done (but it was seasoned well so that saved it). Just a few pieces of chicken on a waffle for $20. I didnt even take a photo it was so bad lol. The lobster sandwich (I had a taste) was okay, unflavorful but the bread was really good. Service was slow. I'm only giving it 3 stars because the waiter was good (it wasn't his fault) and they bought out our fries right way. This place is overrated and maybe if I was there on a day that didnt have a private event or a 45 minute wait for chicken and waffles, I would have had a better experience. With so many other options on Main Street, it will be a while before I give this place a chance again. read more

I went to Blondie for NYE for the first time and was truly unsatisfied with my meal. The ambiance was great while the service was just ok. My true complaint was the food. It reminded me of a trip to TGI Fridays but for double the price. My drink was not garnished at all (not as advertised on their insta) and they brought my companions beer out in a can with no glass. The steak was over cooked and the mashed potatoes and broccolini was similar to what you can get at a Ruby Tuesday. My partners mahi was supposed to be pan seared but it seems that they put it on the pan and left it there until it was over cooked. And once again the sides that accompanied the mahi were lack luster. If you wanna take insta pics, it's great for the aesthetics but save your coins and eat elsewhere. read more

I stand there twiddling my thumbs until I finally get frustrated enough to walk over to the bar and ask to be seated. Tonight I got there at 9:30 and I was told that the kitchen is closed. I was confused because the website states that they close at 12am so why would the kitchen be closed 2 and a half hours before the restaurant is supposed to close. I ask the person that told me that and they didn't have an answer for me. There was no apology or even a glimpse of them caring. My daughter and I had the most wonderful experience at Blondi. My daughter has a gluten allergy and the owner and waitress were SO attentive, making sure my daughter received a DELICIOUS meal. The communication between the staff could not have been better. The owner informed us that they use a separate fryer to make sure there was no cross contamination and seated us at our table personally, and by the time our waitress introduced herself, she said that she was aware of her gluten allergy and verified with the chef that everything was gluten free. And the food....Oh my Lord.... Was so so so good, my mouth still is still watering at the thought of it. We started with the burrata to share, which was accompanied by beets and a delicious arugula salad with grapefruit and carrots and a gorgeous smear of carrot puree. I had the short ribs with a savory gravy that melted in my mouth, with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. my daughter had truffle fries and a mango salad that was fresh and delicious! The manager, Ryan needs to be FIRED. I walked in with a girl friend to for a celebratory dinner. There was a group of 3 ahead of us waiting for a table. They were told a table would be ready for them soon. We were told that the rest of the tables were reserved and they only had seats at the bar. Understandable, the table of 3 probably got the last table of a currently sparse restaurant. I looked at the drink menu. Excited and super hungry, I began to read the back of another customer's shirt. I noticed the couples on both sides of us were black. I mentioned it to my friend. The hostesses, black women, also noticed the inconsistency and when we asked them to take a look again, they almost immediately found us a table. When Ryan came back, the hostesses showed him the available table and he claimed that he "must have missed it". We were like ok, whatever. As we are looking at the menu, my friend suddenly gets up to talk to a couple at the bar and ask them what happened when they came in. The couple also said that they were told no tables were available, over an hour ago, and told to sit at the bar. When I heard this my stomach turned sour. My appetite was completely ruined. We simply put our menus down to leave. The hostess at the door asked us why, and after we explained, she was kind enough to hug us. It's very obvious that only black patrons were cast off to the bar. I want to love the restaurant so badly but service was painfully slow. My friends and I went on a Thursday night with intentions of getting a bunch of drinks and food. At first, it took a while for a server to come but we didn't mind. Then when she did come and we tried to order drinks off the menu online (we had been given 2 food menus and NO drink menus for our group of 4) she told us they didn't have those drinks and we needed to order off the other menu. When we told her we didn't have them she gave us a much more limited drink menu. Then the drinks took foreverrrrrr. Our food came first despite ordering later and the food also taking longer than expected. Nobody came to ask how things were. Eventually we got the waitress attention to order more drinks that took at least 45 minutes for a bartender to bring over to us- in that entire time the plates were cleared and our waitress never came to even check in and say "the bars backed up drinks are on the way!". We asked for the check when the drinks finally came despite having wanted more drinks and dessert we couldn't stay any longer and had been there over two hours to only get two drinks in the entire time. When she came to clear the previous drink cups she goes "oh I guess I'm taking this" and then proceeded to charge the cards wrong... The drinks were okay and some of the food was pretty good. We LOVED the brussels sprouts appetizer and the atmosphere is the best in manayunk. I'm going to give this place another chance and hope that the service is better! They were very busy but it was the lack of hospitality involved with the wait- no apology or even acknowledgement that tables around us were on their second groups of people and we still hadn't gotten our second round of drinks.
