Birthday brunch Ladies day out celebrating the 50th birthday of one my Spiritual Daughters. We enjoyed our food, drinks, the atmosphere of the restaurant. Our Server did an awesome job. It was a fun time had by all. I will definitely be back this time as a date night. See you soon

Came here last month for brunch with my family and we were very happy with our meals. Came back the next day for restaurant week and loved the entrees. Service was great and the interior design was very nice and welcoming. Definitely get the garlic honey salmon because I still think about it and how delicious it was. Mocktails were great that my 10 yr old daughter had one too. Not pictured was the cinnamon roll pancakes and she gave them a thumbs up. Will definitely be going back.

I have taken a star off because the last two times I've come (mid September and end of November), there has been no one to greet me at the host stand and everyone else just walks around. I think it's taken about 5 minutes before someone comes. They need to work on that. Food has been great, aside from the apple pie French toast. I was expecting better bread, like a brioche, but it was basic bread and therefore did not hit as I thought it would. Also, I love my burgers well done and didn't think I would have to ask for a smash burger to be prepared as such. It was too much pink on the inside for me & the taste, to me, was not pleasant at all . The ambiance is immaculate. Every time, I am always taking pictures of the interior. The bar is a beautiful green, the dining room is elegant with the industrial look, and the back is so pretty in pink. And shout out to Shaniya--she was a great waitress.

We came here for our friends surprise bday party and it was fun! The interior was gorgeous and we got a nice sized table along the wall on the far side of the bar for 9 people. We started with drinks and I loved the seasonal white cosmo drink! Then we got a bunch of appetizers to share - my favs were the crab dip and the brussel sprouts. For our entree, me and my friend split the shrimp Caesar salad - they were so nice to even bring us our own portions on our own plates and they were good size for a half portion and it was delicious! I also had a wild request to get a margarita on the menu but use vodka instead - they did it and the drink was beautiful and amazing! I really liked Blondie and would definitely come back!

This was a pleasant experience!! The restaurant is cute cute!! And large! The outside is deceiving. There's lots of seating inside and out. The food was priced right and delicious! My server beautiful personality & fun! Run don't walk! Downfall is parking. It can be a bit challenging.

My friends and I tried this place after a busy day of fall festivities! The restaurant had plenty of seating and we were served almost immediately compared to nearby restaurants. We were also in a hurry to grab a bite and then head out. The menu looked like elevated classics. The price to food quality seemed mismatched. The food was way over priced for what you got. I ordered the burger wrapped in lettuce. And it was simply just that. They did not have gluten free bread alternatives. Ambiance was nice. Decor and cleanliness were top qualities. Parking can be difficult and pricey in manayunk. Probably wouldn't come back for dinner service! Maybe I'll try brunch next time! Tldr Food 3/5 Service 4/5 Ambiance 4/59

I had Saturday Brunch here about a month ago, March 22, 2025 and here are my thoughts. Walking up to Blondie I saw the long line at the door. Things moved pretty quickly though. Many people were gathered and the mood was festive. After checking in, I was the first of my party to arrive so I took a spot at the bar and ordered a drink. The restaurant is cute. Multi level, multiple seating options, and chic decor, however, things took a downward turn for me from there. My party was seated on the third level. This "room" is reserved for private parties. Problem is, and I've encountered this before, it's was just a large empty room that exhibited absolutely none of the character and charm of the restaurant below. Half of the appeal of your dining out experience is ambiance. At this point in my life, I would only book a "private" room if it were truly something special. Otherwise I'd go somewhere else. And...as for "private" not at all. There were three parties up there. I was celebrating a birthday with a large group. There were 22 of us so with that said, I definitely have a big curve for error. But we were fully seated until around 2:45 pm and were not served food until 4:30pm. At this point I'd had more to drink than food, including the mimosa tower. It's volume and price tag is impressive but the scientific like beaker on steroids was less than classy. Almost every food item on the menu was represented at my table. I had the crab omelette. Lackluster, it needed a sauce. I had some of the Parmesan Chicken wings and those I would have again. Certainly willing to visit again in a much smaller group to get better feel for service and the pancakes looked amazing so I would go with those.

Went here for the first time recently and while it is a bit pricy, my friend and I enjoyed our brunch here. Our server was so nice and the coffee and presentation of everything were so good! Definitely come by here whenever you can as I'll definitely be back to try their espresso martini as I've heard they're quite yummy.

My friends and I made a reservation on a Saturday night for dinner and when we arrived we were a bit early so the owner offered us champagne which was very nice of them. The interior is super cute and modern and there's a bunch of open seating and two bar areas from what I remember seeing. The service was also very quick and attentive. Our server Shawn did a good job of recommending some dishes as well as getting everything to us in a timely and friendly manner. The food was alright. The crab dip had a lot of meat and the Brussels sprouts were well seasoned and crispy. I personally could not eat my tacos. They were very salty and not my favorite but overall everything was good I think I just picked a bad dish and would be willing to go back and try other entrees instead. I really enjoyed my blondie cocktail though because it was fruity but not too sweet!

Very cute bar. We went there during a Saturday evening but the music was so loud we left immediately. during Sunday afternoon it was cute. The drinks were nice. It wasn't very full but we waited at the hosted stand for several minutes before anyone got us. Overall the servers were friendly.

I took a friend here for her birthday last Saturday for brunch. She made reservations for us because that area is usually busy on the weekends. Service was prompt until it came time for our food to come out. No kidding, we literally waited 45 mins for French toast, eggs, bacon and an omelette. Not to mention the food was room temperature even after I mentioned to the waitress "please don't let my food be cold after waiting this long." She apologized and said they got hit and were backed up in the kitchen but I looked around and most of the tables were empty. If the food would have warm or hot they would've definitely received 4 stars but you don't serve anyone room temp food and expect a tip. I did tip her $10 even though my friend thought I should do less because of the food. But I figured maybe it's the cooks fault. I won't be going back.

Chose this place to have my birthday dinner, it's always packed and I needed to know why ?? & if legitimately packed due to good food was my hope.Overall great experience and very friendly staff. Nice atmosphere and music, really cute. They have a happy hour which I may revisit. The food was tasty. I ordered 2 appetizers and a main entrée. Meatballs, Chicken Dumplings and main course was the Braised Short Ribs with mashed. The Meatballs were slightly overcooked /dry. The Chicken Dumplings were OK, I enjoyed them and would reorder maybe. I also enjoyed the toasted bread that came along with the Meatballs. For the main course I requested double mashed as I don't eat Broccoli. My plate came out with Broccoli, sent back. I have read several reviews stating on how flavorful this dish is. It was tasty but could have used more flavor. The rib was tender. My plate was on the luke warm side and the potatoes needed more butter, salt pepper etc. Which is not on the table. I requested butter, it came to my table rock solid and that isn't good with not so hot potatoes but I made it work. I also ordered 2 Far East Margaritas.. one was to be at regular price and 2nd was to be via the happy hour menu, bill came and I was charged full price for both. I questioned it and got a oh my bad. Reservation was made on Open Table for my Birthday. No birthday acknowledgement like most restaurants do. Check paid dinner complete. No doggie bag taken.

But this is also fitting…read moresince whether its been driving by it back in the day, or through gazing up at it on the hill when I was in Manayunk, La Collina is one of those places that has been in my peripheral vision for a few decades now! For 20+ years, I've known La Collina to be that fancy and classic-looking Italian restaurant on the hill that I've been needing to try. But it took coming across its name when doing my research for possible spots to go to for my birthday to put one and two together, and it led to quite the majestic experience. The friendly and hilarious valet attendants ensured that service was incredible before we even entered the building. And upon entry, we were treated to spot-on recommendations and quality service throughout the evening. For cocktails, I was in awe of the Anejo Old Fashioned, which used Patron and agave syrup instead of the usual whiskey offering, and I also appreciated the classic Negroni. For appetizers, the classic meatballs with homemade marinara and ricotta were an absolute delight, and the eggplant rolatini with spinach, prosciutto, and mozzarella was sheer perfection at its most decadent. For my entrée, I initially expected that I would be eating all the pasta. But the restaurant is also known for its seafood, and the risotto frutti di mare especially caught my eye. and with its calamari, clams, mussels, and shrimp, and perfectly cooked and seasoned rice it absolutely delivered the flavors! Toss in a salted caramel chocolate soufflé with a candle on top, and it easily made for another memorable birthday dinner and a deserving place to recommend!

We booked reservations for our wedding anniversary here. I specifically asked for a window overlook view seat. This was not granted and we were placed in the back room by the bar. Service was poor. We spent 2 and a half hours at this restaurant mostly waiting for the food to come out and the server to bring us our check. I don't believe the server came back for drink refills until after we were done with out meals. The serving sizes like stated in other reviews are very poor for the price you pay. For 2 to eat here you are pushing 100 easily. I got the chicken parm and pretty sure there was a out 12-15 noodles with it. My wife did enjoy her seafood pasta with scallops, but the price outweighed the amount for sure. Overall I had high expectations for this place and it let us down big time. Hopefully they continue to improve so we can give it another chance.

Back to to the food and drink. The cocktails are unique, gorgeous and delicious. Each one crafted with garnishes like fresh orange peel and pineapple leaves. Cocktails can be ordered with sugar, salt, or tajan on the rims. I highly recommend the apple cider margarita and the La Kartina hibiscus cocktail. The photos don't even do them justice. I ordered the plantains, deconstructed veggie tacos and a side of Al pastor chicken. I also had a side of the guacamole. The guacamole was so fresh and flavorful and I loved the cheese added to the top. The chicken was flavorful, well seasoned and very colorful. The plantains were the perfect level of sweetness. Arriving shortly after the restaurant opened, we were seated quickly and given the choice of indoor or outdoor seating. While the inside is dark, moody and well designed with an open kitchen, we decided to dine outside to get as close to the band as possible. We were greeted by a lovely dining area that has both covered seating and tables with umbrellas, all of which overlook the Schuylkill. The waitress came by quickly and took our food and drink orders but then went MIA for the rest of the time we were there. All of the service we received, including the busser, was brutally slow and nearly non-existent. With a view inside the restaurant, it seemed like there were a lot of employees but not a lot of productivity. Now onto the food... (which also took quite a bit of time to get to us despite the restaurant being pretty empty.) Breakfast Pizza ($18): Pickled peppers, crumbled sausage, mozzarella and fried egg on a neopolitan style crust. This was really good, and while it wouldn't pass the "flop test" the crust was well charged, dough was flavorful and the egg was perfectly fried with runny yolks. 4 out of 5 stars. Classic Pancakes ($12): Butter, powdered sugar and whipped cream. These were a big let down and tasted like a boxed mix. The consistency was on the chewier side, the flavor was flat and the syrup definitely didn't taste like real maple syrup. Also, they skipped the whipped cream. 2 out of 5 stars. Eggs "Your Way" ($8): I opted for scrambled and while they came in a cute little cast iron container, for $8 I was greeted with 2 over scrambled, under-seasoned eggs..The two small slices of oiled toast that came with it were appreciated but also lackluster and could've benefitted from a brush vs drizzle of oil and sprinkling of flaky salt. 1 out of 5 stars. Holy Smokes Cocktail ($14): A blend of mezcal, coffee liqueur and Campari. This was good but lacking a bit on the coffee flavor. 3 out of 5 stars. We waited a good 25 minutes after we finished eating for our waitress to finally come back to the table to check in on us and bring us our check, but luckily we had the jazz band to listen to. All in all, In Riva may have the river views, but it does not quite rival the (muchhh) better brunch spots in the city. Nor does the live jazz make a strong enough case to skip the extra drive into Center City, S. Philly or the beloved Fishtown for better food and far superior service. While the jazz and pizza were good, I won't likely be returning anytime soon.
