This is a difficult review to write because the nail tech who does my nails, Jenny, is excellent. Today, I had a dip service done, cost $50.00. When I saw my bill, there was a Shape-Reshape of $5.00. I asked what that was for, and she told me that because she trimmed my nails and then had to file them, there was a $5.00 charge. I know that is a management decision, but off-putting. I will rethink going back even though I've been going there for a couple of years now. What the heck? Isn't filing your nails part of any nail service? read more

I want to love this place because the employees are so nice but this is my second time coming here and having a poor outcome within a week of getting nails done. The first time I did dip there one of my nails broke in half when I was cleaning because it was done so thin. This time, I spent $100 on dip nails and regular pedicure which is pricey to start and my nails barely lasted. For starters, I Walked out with one hand being the complete different nail size than the other and was advised to come back two days later if I wanted it fixed. Paid $200 for some nails that looked worse than press on's. The shape was off and I was continuously being lied to in the process as well, Which was a first for me. I wanted a basic French tip.. how hard can it be. And a little advice to the employees. The lady didn't put the polish close to the cuticle so now only a week they look 2 weeks old when Its barely been a week. This was my first time at this salon. I requested that the polish color on my fingernails and toenails be the same. I was having shellac on my toenails and dip on my fingernails and there is no perfect match so I selected colors as close to eachother as possible. When I left, i realized that the colors were way off so I called and spoke to the owner, Andy, who was very pleasant and totally accommodating and redid my fingernails without charge. I just moved to Rochester Hills and this was my first visit .....will not be back. i had a manicure and pedicure....nails were uneven and he filed some nails round and some square. The following day, half of toe tail polish peeled off and within 2 days fingernails were peeling. I have a feeling this was the guys first nail experience. I was leaving for vacation the following morning and was unable to go back in to show them. This is my first time leaving a review....i usually give a business a second chance, however, I did not get the feeling that anyone cared about customers. Worst dip ever. The girl doing my nails was nice, but she put on like 6 coats of dip, and took forever to complete the job. After an ok pedicure, she asked if I liked my nails, and I said they were way too thick. She offered to grind them down and I took her up on the offer. She wasn't upset, but two other employees were talking and pointing at me giving me dirty looks the entire time. This is the second time I've had terrible service. I will never return. read more

My nail place went out of business unfortunately and unexpectedly. I had to find another place to get my nails done and I am still unfortunately on the hunt for that. The positives were : I went to this place and they did my particular style of nails correctly ( French, color, schelack) and they had nice colors. My nail Tech Linda was also very nice and attentive to detail. They were also very fast, it took about an hour or so for them to completely do my nails. The negatives: STICKER SHOCK!!!!!! 53 Dollars is incredibly too high for what I wanted on top of the fact that you have to pay for tip with cash and cannot add it on a card. Though Linda was attentive to detail my hands were more messy with residue than I'm used to. A little bit more time with fingernail Polish remover would have made this a sench to take care of. Finally I made an appointment the day before for 1 the next day and when I got there at 1 o'clock on the dot, I still had to wait 15 minutes for a nail teck. The overall take away is is this is a fast an efficient place However it is too expensive and therefore the hunt is still on for a good nail place. read more

So, this place just opened up in January and I've been wanting to come in for a pedicure. My mom and I came in today and we absolutely loved it. For starters, the place is super relaxing without all the noise. We both almost fell asleep during our pedicures! Secondly, they have tons of chairs here that are super comfy. Lots of nail polish to choose from, and the staff here is pretty nice. The pedicure was one of the better ones that I have had, and they are 100% organic according to the owner. They gave us lavender scented water to soak our feet in which smelled amazing. They also used lavender lotions as well on our legs when we got our leg massage with the hot towels. The whole thing took an hour and I was really super happy to come here. I think I like it better then my regular salon and they are about the same price. My feet look and feel amazing and I'm really happy with the whole experience. I will be back in the future and loved my time here. read more

I went for a manicure and pedicure before my daughters wedding. The lady cut both my fingernails and toenails very short. She did not communicate at all verbally just sign language and that made it very difficult. That resulted in very short nails that don't look very elegant for a formal occasion. I had purposely grown my nails so they would look nice and she chipped them off. She cut the finger nails square with clippers and was not going to file them at all until I asked her to . She also did not paint one of my small toe nails which I didn't notice because of my shoes until I got home. When she was working on my feet the triming of skin was rough and painful. I do not recommend. My first ever experience getting my nails professionally done. Crystal did a terrible job. I paid $40 for shellac and my left hand's nail started peeling within 4 days (normally a couple weeks). I got them done on 3/30. My right hand's nails didn't go all the way to the tip or the sides, and one of my fingers had bubbles below the topcoat. I didn't notice until I left, but I'd rather not get them redone and ruin my nails even more. I have short nails, but there is no excuse for how horrible they did. The facility is new and very clean, but I will not be returning. read more

I've been to this business twice. The first time I had a pedicure and manicure dip that lasted 2 weeks. 5 days ago I had a shellac manicure by the same manicurist, Tina. The shellac is already chipping and losing shine as you can see from the photos. I can peel the polish off. I have not exposed my manicure to cleaning products other than soap. I noticed during the manicure the manicurist only did 1 layer of topcoat, not sure if that's typical for shellac. She did not apply any lotion. Tina also coughed directly into her hand and then resumed painting my nails. Other manicurists were wearing masks. She did not sanitize the nail polish brushes before or after, just rubbed acetone around the top of the lid. The nail file was not fresh, either. Gross. read more

I got my nails done today (3/30/18) and my nail polish is already coming off on my sides. I was asked countless time to upgrade with a pedicure, and I understand upselling is a part of business, but after the second "no thank you" I should not be asked. When the woman doing my nails began to put polish on I had to show her that some of my old gel nail was still on my finger. I also had to tell her to put treatment on my cuticles and to push them back. After pointing out again a man came and finished the job. When the manicure was over, he told me it was time to pay. I told him that my nails were not dry yet and I'd pay after. He was not happy with than answer and said he'd reach in my purse and grab my wallet for me and handle paying for it. Last Tuesday when I called ahead for a walk in with Vanessa, I ended up getting Roy. 4 days after my manicure with shellac, the top of my nails started chipping. One week later (today) my thumb paint has chipped, over the phone they said shellac only lasts a week and this is not true!!!! I have never had this chip so bad and so soon. Appointments don't mean anything here. I called ahead today to do full body waxing, and was given an appointment. Showed up on time. They were running behind and asked me to take a seat. No problem. Very nice interior, clean and large with lots of nail color selection including dip powder. Service was decent enough. However, I came in requesting a manicure. I was asked if I wanted regular, shellac or dip. I asked how much it cost for the dip v shellac. Quoted $40 for dip and $30 for shellac. Thinking $40 is pretty darn reasonable for dip I went ahead and opted for the dip. The service started without any cuticle treatment which I thought was odd but I didn't give it much thought. As they wrapped up the dip treatment I was asked if I wanted a manicure treatment to clean up my cuticles. When I asked for clarity it was explained that service costs $10 extra. What??? How is the "manicure" service not part of the "manicure" I requested when I came in?? And if you make it a separate charge how can you not explain this up front when someone asks for pricing?? So I ended up getting the extra service despite the situation but pricing aside, I cannot understand why you would push back the cuticle after the color is applied. I walked out with a small gap between the cuticle and the nail color thanks to this approach. It seems totally designed to rip off people. There are enough nice nail places in this area I will go elsewhere. read more

I have been getting my nails done for 20 years and have long nails - My normal salon was booked and I had a break that I needed fixed asap so I went to this salon for a fill and a repair and was unimpressed with the way the gentleman was doing my nails, the shapes were weird and uneven - then he told me he doesn't like black polish because it doesn't dry - after I had a lot of debris (from the filthy work area and him not cleaning off my nails) on my nails and him forcing me to only cure for 30 seconds each coat, I let him know that the polish was bubbling up and had debris in it and THAT was why it wouldn't dry- he told me I am not a good client - This of course caused me to let him know about his skillset, and asked him to stop and allow me to leave. I went to pay for my service and he wanted to charge me a premium rate for a subpar fill and polish that wasn't cured. I paid for the service, at the normal rate and didn't tip - I had to go somewhere else the next day because all of my polish was peeled up and still wet and my nails were uneven. This is my go-to nail place in the Rochester area. There are a lot of decent places to get a gel/shellac manicure in Rochester. I've tried most of them but Bloomfield nails is a level above. I get a dip powder manicure from here about once a month. Kay usually does my nails and they are ALWAYS beautiful. They last weeks and weeks and never break or crack. I can't recommend this place enough, the best spot to get nails done in the area. I've gotten pedicures and other services here as well. Not only did I not get the color I wanted after being pressured into getting a different color, the manicure was terrible. My nail lady was very rude, she put in her ear buds and started to TALK ON THE PHONE and book flights for a vacation. Not only was she rude in not speaking at all, she was rude when she actually spoke to me. Now as far as the manicure went, I usually get dip powder and she cut my nails way too short and cut my Dundee and got the dip powder every where on my fingers.
