I recently went in, with an appointment for Cindy because she does an amazing job, (only reason I'm not leaving 1 star.) when I arrived I let them know my appointment was with Cindy. I sat to wait and another lady grabbed me, I let her know that I was waiting for Cindy. She then told me that Cindy left and to sit with her. It's my only day off so I agreed. She nicked me with the filing drill multiple times. Half way through applying the builder gel, Cindy comes to the front and sees me sitting with the other lady, and the other lady tells Cindy that shes so sorry and had no idea that I was her appointment... I told her I was. She continues to finish my nails, builder gel should be solid and as thick as acrylic would be applied, mine was so thin I could see my nail beds through it. I asked her if she was going to apply the matching gel to complete it and she told me no and that she was done, I almost had to beg for the polish to be applied. My nails are uneven, lumpy, bubbles and dust cured into the polish. I still tipped with payment. On my last visit, I came in only for a pedicure and chose the $35 option with gel (+$15=$50) and when i got to the counter to pay, i was charged $65. I tried to ask why that was my price, we couldn't understand each other so I just paid in cash and still tipped $5, so they would not think I'm rude. 2 different occasions, 2 different staff members, I left upset both times, Cindy was amazing but I unfortunately will not return back to a business with unprofessional and scheming employees. read more

After my horrible experience at another nail salon last month (will post my review on them later), I was apprehensive to trying another place and had plans to redo my nails at home. I came across this nail place casually after going to sally's next door and said why not? I needed a pedicure anyway and figured that I would see how this place is. I ended up having Tamara help me and she did a great job on my pedicure, plus she gave me wine! I decided after my pedicure that I would let her do my much needed fill in and my nails look amazing!! Plus she was so sweet & I could communicate with her exactly what I wanted & she delivered. The owner even took the time out to talk to us and he was very nice too. The lady that he was helping before he came over seemed over the moon excited over her nails & shes a regular so it seems like this place has a lot of happy customers! I honestly think im just going to make this my new nail place because so many of the nail salons in sterling heights/shelby twp area are garbage and I finally found a place that treats people with respect & does a great job on nails. Thanks Bloomfield Nails! Update: my gel polish chipped after a week but only on my right hand. Is this normal? I will stick to the opi polishes next time & maybe bring my own top coat. I have been to this location twice! The first time my manicure shellac was done horrible! 5-6 of my nails already chipped not even 5 days later. The manager was kind, she redid all my nails. So I decided to give it another shot! I had my pedicure done today and before I even left my toenail was messed up. The Tech just painted over it and said you're done. Still messed up. Probably won't be back a third time! read more
