My friend and I wanted to have a bit of a zen weekend so we both hopped on to the website and were able to find facials at the same time, woohoo! (I did call ahead to warn them but fully understood if a reschedule would've been needed) anyways they welcomed us openly which was so nice. There's a comfy waiting area with shelves of lotions, crystals, and other wellness type items for sale. My mom and I got pedicures and the pedi space was equally comfy, pretty, and clean. They have a raised bench with lots of fluffy pillows and 2 copper tubs to soak your feet. Jill & Amanda were great. This spa completely ruined my Valentine's Day date with my husband. I scheduled a couples foot soak/massage as a gift for my husband, and they called to cancel less than two hours before our appointment because someone called in sick. I understand that these things can happen, but judging from other reviews, it happens far too often. Coupled with their very strict cancellation policy, I won't be giving this spa another chance. It's too bad because organic spas are hard to find. Edited to respond to the comment below: You defend your cancellation policy as protecting your provider's time & resources, but what about your customers? We had a babysitter lined up, and this was a surprise gift for my husband. Being offered other time slots isn't really helpful in that situation. I also was not offered any comped services. People often schedule spa days on special occasions, and there is often a good deal of planning and expense (babysitters, time off from work, etc) that goes into it. Maybe it would be a good idea to have other providers on call in case someone is out sick; otherwise, I imagine you will have many upset customers. read more

For the low price of $240, my fiancé and I endured the "Body scrub 'flight' & Soak + Steam" on Valentines Day, and I'm in the doghouse because of it. First of all, the spa is next to a shady motel, so my fiancé was uncomfortable walking in the area. The woman that greeted us was not particularly sociable, and the staff dressed less than professional. We had the back patio to ourselves for the steam, and after sitting in the hot tub, we were both itchy later that evening. But the real kicker was the eco-friendly toilet. Any time we needed to use the restroom, we had to incinerate our waste, and thereafter we had the distinct pleasure of enjoying the waste-incineration fumes. We rented out their backyard space for part of a Bachelorette we threw, and it really exceeded our expectations! The backyard was very thoughtfully laid out. It had two separate seating areas, one with a fire pit and the other area which was tucked a little further behind with a hot tub, covered table with seats, and a studio that included a full bathroom (steam shower, sink, toilet), refrigerator, couch/seats, and a kitchenette. They had even stocked the fridge with a variety of waters and bubbly, and provided tea and snacks! Each of the girls in our party had booked at least one service, and were pleased with the level of care each person received. I got the Lemon + Lavender Summer Pedicure and enjoyed 60 minutes of pampering and polish. From planning and communication, to preparing everything we needed to make it a special Spa Day, Ginny (the owner/esthetician) and Sam (spa manager) went above and beyond! We went here as a belated Christmas gift, or on-time gift, finally being redeemed. We did a couple's massage with the soak and steam and it was nice! It's probably not anyone's fault, but the reason I'd deduct a star is because I felt like the massage was very calculated, very timed, very transactional to me. Other people probably don't feel that way, but that's how I felt experiencing this massage. It felt like the masseuse spent exactly 3 min on each arm, etc etc. It didn't flow, it felt stilted and timed. But there wasn't any pain, it was tailored to me, I was asked for any areas of focus, or any injuries. I felt like they were skilled! The soak and steam was really nice, you get the little area and ADU type house to yourself and that was really nice! We had the massage first then were able to soak after and that was really luxurious. And I'd come back for soaking and steaming in a heartbeat. The chilled water with the chilled towels, chef's kiss. It was really relaxing and rejuvenating. Yeah overall, it was nice but the feeling that the masseuse had her eye on the clock (which I did not observe but that's the feeling I had on the table) made me take off one star from the experience. read more

After the massage the person at counter said "hmm I don't seem to know this person who signed it" my friend replied "it's a few years old, been on my fridge". The girl at the counter replied "my manager has been here 2.5 years and has never seen the person's name either so we can't honor it" I knew I was about to get hit in the head hard but 130 each for a couples massage had me feeling sick for 3 days. Especially when the gift card would have made it 80$ split I will be filing complaint with BBB for not honoring a legitimate gift card. How many thousands of dollars other people have had loved ones spend $$ on a gift certificates, waiting for years to get the massage they were finally ready for to only find out they have to pay full price because you don't honor old gift certificates? I made a reservation for a Swedish Massage after receive by a gift certificate for the Blooming Moon Wellness Spa. There was plenty of street parking available. I was acknowledged as soon as I entered the business and as I waited to check-in, I browsed the items for sale. Check-in was smooth and easy. I was offered lemon and lime water while I waited for the massage therapist to come down. I waited maybe two minutes max. Kayla was my massage therapist and she was friendly and professional. She asked me about problem areas any anything I was looking for related to the massage. She left me to prepare for the massage, and knocked before entering when she returned. The massage itself was great. Kayla used an appropriate amount of pressure, continually made sure I was comfortable, and before I knew it, my 90 minutes was up! I had scheduled my appointment weeks in advance for my sister and I and they called me 4 hours before my appointment to say that someone had called out sick so I had to reschedule. The other times did not work due to the fact that my sister was here only visiting from out of state. I understand a worker calling out sick cannot be helped but this company has a strict cancellation policy for customers (cancel at least 48 hours in advance or pay 50% of the appointment service). How come we don't get the same consideration ? I asked if they could do anything else besides reschedule with such short notice and nothing. I used to get my brows threaded however after moving work locations, I needed to find a new threading spot. I did not have much luck in the N/NE area that I was happy with. So I decided to give waxing another go and haven't been anywhere else since~! I had broken out when I had my eyebrows waxed years ago, and with the product BMWS uses, I haven't had any reaction. They definitely care about their products. I did learn that if you are on antibiotics, your skin is more sensitive and could tear...and tonight Veronica plucked away to avoid that. I also got a customized facial which I've had twice from BMWS. They are always willing to explain what is in each product and what it's used for. Veronica shared different add-ons, so lots of options to choose from! BONUS~ if you check the website they have monthly, weekly and daily specials. I had Kayla for the seaweed detox with the steam shower (with lavender aromatherapy ) and a 90 min massage. Kayla did amazing!! The scrub felt fantastic and the scalp and foot massage was so relaxing I fell asleep! My skin was super soft after. The aromatherapy shower was nice and smelled great! And the massage to end it all was the cherry on top! I like real deep tissue massage, like sports therapy, so I didn't feel that, but I did feel a more relaxed version of deep tissue. It felt good regardless! The only negative I have is that because it's based out of an old house, the walls and floor are thin and you can hear every noise and everyone talking, which is a bit distracting, but that wouldn't keep me from coming here again! read more

There was no peeling or lifting, just looked down and they were gone. I've gotten several gel manicures in the past and it's like getting egg off a car in the summer. I was in the next day for a facial and massage and a new tech redid the two nails free of charge. However, I had three more pop off within the next few days.
