Very disappointed in this place. The lady who did my nails boasted about doing nails "really fast" trying to convince me to wait. I came in on a Saturday afternoon and there was only one other client. She was scatterbrained and rushed between the both of us. I would much rather have someone take their time rather than rush to do my nails in 10 min. I got GelX, and she didn't even file my actual nail after putting them on so they're sticking out from the side. Nor did she shave the uneven glue underneath. I was gonna wait for a pedicure but decided not to after seeing the moldy pedicure tubs. She offered to do them quick in 10 mins and I said no thank you lol. This place is not clean. So... this happened about 3 hours after I got home. After being charged $40 for the pedicure by Laurie and $100 for the gel x set I'm very upset to say the least. This establishment has potential but for the BARE MINIMUM service they provide they are way too overpriced. After paying about double what I usually pay at my local Vietnamese nail salon, I expected over the top service and results... and I was utterly disappointed. It's a shame because I do like to support local businesses and an Armenian business nonetheless. But you have to do better if you're going to be charging Beverly Hills prices. Let me just say that the eyebrow lady here is so gentle with her hands and very precise. This was my first visit at this place and it's for sure my last one. I had dipping powder on my nails before I came, which I have been getting done for the last 8 years consistently. While the technician was overall nice, she left me with a completely lumpy and lopsided manicure. I asked her to file it, buff it out or something. She claimed the unevenness of the manicure was due to my nails and the prior dipping powder on my nails. I explained to her that she's the professional, she should know how to properly remove the prior product before she adds hers on top. She said "ok let me put the top coat on, you can come an other time and I'll redo it. I have costumers waiting, I can't redo your nails right now" Since I work and have limited time, I told her I won't be coming back, just at least give me a partial refund. She refused. This is entirely unprofessional. To address the owners response: I was not a walk in, I called your salon and told the worker what I wanted done. I asked for an appointment, she asked if I can come in "right now" I told her I'll need at least an hour, she said that's fine, 45 min would be better. If she couldn't do a decent job on short notice, she shouldn't have pushed me to come in asap. As for the material on my nail, she removed in completely. She layered on her powder, without filing it even she started layering on the gel. This is not the result of my nails or the prior work done on it, it's simply the technician rushing and refusing to own up to her own mistake. My time is just as valuable as yours. I now have a total of 3 (almost 4) nails that have such bad chipping/lifting that I have to remove my entire set weeks earlier than I planned for. I paid $40 plus a $10 tip but am very sad and dissatisfied with my nail gels. Again - to be clear - my toes done by Laurie are in great shape and her work is amazing. The salon is really nice (love the aesthetic) and it's clear the employees work hard and are kind (they did lovely work). Unfortunately, I'm afraid I was overcharged for what I got. I asked for the classic manicure (brochure listed it at $30) and two nail designs ($3/nail) and my boyfriend got the classic pedicure (brochure listed it at $40). We were charged $90 for the services. Both mani/pedi listed massage in the description, but neither of us got them. The pedi did list polish as part of the services too, and it is understandable most people would assume a man would not want nail polish. However, he did want nail polish and it was not offered, which was disappointing. He would have asked for it if a walk-in customer didn't get seated and set up. I didn't realize gel was the only option for manicures (if there were options, it was not clear). I would have preferred normal nail polish. Maybe their brochure prices are outdated? Overall, the place seems quite nice but I don't think I will go back. EDIT: They did call me back pretty quick after posting this and told me their prices are: Gel manicure - $40 Nail designs - $5/nail Pedicure - $40 While the transparency afterwards is appreciated, it'd be great if the prices were listed in the salon clearly and online. IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME, PLEASE HEED THIS REVIEW. I ONLY CAME HERE FOR A SIMPLE, SINGLE-COLOR GEL MANI + REG PEDI. I normally never write one star reviews. But after this experience, I never want to come back to this salon again. I came in to get a gel mani and regular pedi with a friend who wanted the exact same thing (BUT my friend got charged $75 while I got charged $70-???). There were only two nail techs working and they started working on our appointments while one other client waited in the lobby. I received my pedi first, and in the middle of the session a new customer walked in with a confirmed appointment. They told her that they would be right with her, but after 30 min she ended up leaving because nobody helped her despite her appointment (first red flag). At this point I felt very uncomfortable and also felt like the techs were trying to rush the job to leave. When they finished, my pedi was uneven and they didn't shape my toe nails - they ended up looking like the techs had only sanded down the middle points and the sides were left unkempt. At this point I just wanted to leave. After the nail tech finished my pedi, I went to my mani tech. The experience was fine with the mani tech, but when I went to pay, they let me know they only took cash or Venmo. Luckily I had cash, but it should have been mentioned in the very beginning. When I paid in cash it also included tip, but the mani tech pressured me to leave more for both mani and pedi tech to share-- which is insane to me for the quality they provided. In the end, I ended up going home and removing the pedi and reshaping it myself and recoloring it with a color I got from CVS across the street. The gel mani I got ended up chipping and lifting within 3 days(!!!). Not just a regular mani, a GEL mani! I'm not even working a labor-heavy job I work a desk job - my gel nails should not be lifting after 3 days! DO NOT COME HERE SIS. read more

(idk who "she" is, she never gave me a name and i never asked.) i asked if she has time for TWO people right now, she said YES and asked my ETA. i was 6 minutes away so she said to come by. so, we make it there, walk through the side door, and are in the HOTTEST building ever. i'm assuming she had just gotten in because there was no AC on, and when we were on the phone it sounded like she was driving. but the entire time we were in there getting the pedicures we were sweating. i'm talking swamp ass on the leather seats, sweat dripping down my back, sweating. felt like a damn sauna in there. there's only the one girl... she says "who wants to go first?" FIRST?! the point of asking if you can do two people is so we can go and finish at the same time. not wait around for eachother. but whatever, i digress. my friend goes first and she rushes through this pedicure, you'd think there was a sport in the olympics she was getting ready for. anyways she does her toes, they look fine, i will give her that because she did check in about the look of the french tip. she does my toes, again, rushes through the pedicure. no scrub, no stones, no hot towels, nothing. NOT EVEN THE CHOICE TO DO SO????? she finishes, and my toe is bleeding, and i know she saw that shit too. my toe still burns. we go to leave, i ask if she takes card, she says it's cash only "because the card reader is down." LIE, seems to be a weird running theme with them. i know she just wanted straight cash to have the cash on hand. she only took us because she wanted quick money, didn't care about taking her time, the quality of her work, or anything else. I've been getting my nails done by Aggy for almost a year now and will never go anywhere else. Aggy is very talented and really takes her time to make sure your nails look perfect. Before I came to Blooming Nail a bar I was getting acrylics for years. After trying gel x I will never go back! They are much thinner and feel lighter on your hands as well as pretty much indestructible. I'm very tomboyish and have changed tires, ridden motorcycles, surfed, dived, and lifted weights with these nails and nothing breaks them! Not to mention completely taking them off with each set feels a lot cleaner and more hygienic than acrylics. I made an appointment a month before without a problem. I came a little early so I didn't mind waiting until it started becoming 30 minutes after my appointment time. To be honest I wasn't mad because it was just one person doing designs and another person doing pedicures so after I saw that, I adjusted my expectations. I chose a flower french tip design which she did better than I could of. The problem was that she was so rushed. I've never seen someone work so fast. She looked away while she was cutting my cuticles because someone came in and yup she knicked my pinky and then jammed the tool into my ring finger's cuticle kind of hard. There was no apology for the mistake but my wounds were taken care of at least. I bled for half the manicure. The designs and polish came out nice. The only problem is they started chipping 2 days later. Luckily I chose colors I have at home but still, that's right for the price. Make sure to have cash in case their system goes down. Very professional and sweet. Recommended the Gel x and it's already been two weeks and my nails look and feel the same as the first day. Red flag #1: The shop was packed when I walked in. Stuffy, hot, and no air circulation. Red flag #2: When I sat down to get my pedicure, their very cute, IG pic-ready bench was filthy. Red flag #3: I had to put the plastic liner on myself for my pedicure because the girl working didn't know how to. Red flag #4: A couple came in who had made an appt for 2 pedicures. They waited 30 minutes, no one helped them, and they left. I came to this shop specifically for a design and told the receptionist what I wanted when I arrived. She told me to let the nail tech know when she got to me. I got my pedicure, which was fine but when I finally sat down to get my manicure (after waiting 20 minutes after my pedicure) I was informed that I wouldn't be able to get the design because I didn't let them know ahead of time, even though I did. They made me settle for a regular gel manicure which was a bad experience. She didn't pay any attention to the skin around my nails, just shoved my cuticles back until they almost bled. The polish is sloppy and she only did 2 coats of gel so I can still see through the polish to my nail. She spoke no English, didn't even know what the word "color" meant. When I asked about a discount, the receptionist told me it was my responsibility to reach out for a refund and DM them on Instagram. I emailed and DMed them and haven't received a response. Extremely unprofessional. Bottom line: This is a cheap nail salon charging high prices because they have one decent nail tech who does cute designs. read more

I just moved to the area and have been looking for a new salon, when I came across Blooming Nail Bar. I called and Aggy was very accommodating and gave me an appointment for the same day. I let her know over the phone that I am looking to do a very clean manicure and she recommended the Russian Manicure. When I got there, I loved the fact that parking was not an issue and I could park and walk right into the salon. Aggy spent a lot of time talking to me while I was waiting for Maneh and she was able to walk me through all the services etc. I then was taken my Maneh and I have to say, this is the best gel manicure I have gotten in a very long time. Maneh was detail oriented, clean, precise and so attentive. She cleaned my cuticles and really took the time with every detail. I have been starring at my nails all weekend, I love them!
