Move over Disneyland... there's a new happiest place on this earth. This was a HEAVENLY pedicure!! The ladies are SO friendly but it is quiet in there. No yelling, no distractions, just pure bliss. I requested just a basic pedicure but it went on and on with hot towels, fresh lime squeeze (weird? yes. amazing? YES!) scrubbing and one of the best calf massages ever. Everything is spotless - no sanitizing concerns. No detail was overlooked and I came out with pretty red toes and incredibly soft feet. It is not the cheapest place in town, but I've had far worse pedicures for far more than $28. I can't wait to go back! read more

I was running late for my appt due to traffic - they were SO rude to me for being late and rushed through so they could get out by 7pm (closing time). I've worked in customer service for over a decade and never have I been this poorly mistreated. They also told me that the nail polish I brought in was "terrible quality" - I needed a specific color for my bridal shower and they didn't have it which is why I brought my own. I would never recommend doing business here. They spoke in Korean the entire time and made it obvious that they were discussing how upset they were. Never again will I go there. read more

Blooming Nails hasn't been open that long, maybe a year, but they are definitely one of the busiest games in Bothell. If you go on a Saturday I would definitely call ahead. I like the fact every time I go in it is always the same ladies. You can tell which one the owner is and I think she runs a tight ship. They also have this nice video playing on a loop of beautiful scenery from around the world and an Enya-esque soundtrack. It is very relaxing - in the beginning I thought it was a tad unusual but I've really grown to like it! Plus one time I went in on my birthday, they didn't know it was birthday, but it was a weekday afternoon and it was a little less crowded than usual - I fell asleep and after my pedicure was done they let me sit there and sleep in the massage chair for like an hour!!! Of course I get the bottle of older, thicker nail polish. There were tiny particles on some of my nails and one nail that didn't get two full coats because of the polish and the fact that I had the older korean lady who needed her glasses to see properly. She was like a long-lost korean gramma, very dear and sweet. However, she did not know very much English for us to communicate beyond "gramma: cute hands" and "me: thank you". PS. My legs were on FIRE when she scrubbed my calves for the pedicure but I bit my tongue because I wanted smooth legs.. read more

Stopped in on a referral, didn't have an appointment. They were very courteous, a warm welcome. Good polish selection (Zoya - Vegan friendly!). Had a GREAT manicure. My experience here was pretty mediocre. My nails look great, but I haven't had it long enough to see if the polish lasts. The chairs were a bit old and the massage didn't work very well. I thought the staff was really nice, parking was easy, but it was definitely overpriced. A manicure/pedicure was $38 plus $5 additionally for french tip x 2 for both hands and feet. I was pretty shocked at the price because I went to the UW and the pricing was about $10-15 cheaper. Currently, I live in San Francisco and everything is generally more expensive there, and this "spa" definitely beat them all for an Asian run spa. Also, I felt that the manicure massage was way too short. The place was clean and spacious, but I was disappointed when they didn't use new nail files and nail buffers. I love coming here! The salon is nicely decorated and amazingly spotless. The women here are very friendly and do an excellent job of making you feel relaxed and pampered. You'll love the manicures, pedicures and the foot and calf massages...I'm always so relaxed when I leave this place, even if its just for a simple manicure! Their color selections are always fresh and they are willing to work with me until I'm satisfied with the colors I've chosen. I've had several different waxing services performed here too and have come to trust their skills with hot wax. They're always very thorough and detailed. My mom and I went here on a whim and are now total fans! They do great $10 mani's and their pedi's are wonderful. They are on the smaller size though so if you go on a weekend make sure you book an appointment cause you may have to wait a while if you're a walk in. They do a good job of trying to squeeze you in though. Overall, I was impressed and will probably be going back to them to get my nails done in the future. read more

This place is very clean and has an extremely nice/polite staff. I had my first pedicure ever done here and I have heard horror stories about other salons, so I came here because I know people that love this place. It was nothing short of amazing. They have plenty of chairs for pedicures, so I can't imagine them having a long wait very often. I was there on a saturday and it seemed relatively busy. All the employees were helping customers, but there was still room for more and only one person had to wait about 5 minutes before someone was available. The pedicure was awesome. She did a great job massaging and scrubbing my feet and legs. The polish job was great and has held up nicely. I also got my eyebrows waxed and I'm always worried about having it done becuase some people take too much off and i have light eyebrows. The lady who did my eyebrows did a great job. I told her not too thin and just give them some shape and she did just that. They look even and they turned out great. I will definitely go back again soon. Called in on a Saturday for a same day appointment. They were very easy to schedule with what worked best for me. Upon my arrival the salon looked very clean and cute, but quiet busy. Can't really say the staff is friendly as nobody spoke to me. I was told to pick a color and shown where to sit. The girl who did my pedicure spoke not a single word to me even when she saw I was struggling with how to turn on the massage chair. Clean nail tools are my pet peeve and what I saw next I did not like. The tools that were used all sat in a plastic basket (where they even sterilized before me?) Manicure was done by what appeared to be the owner or manager (nobody introduced themselves therefore can't give names) the salon got super busy and she kept getting up every couple minutes to ring someone up, or book appointments. Relaxing for me? NO! The manicure was extremely rushed even when I didn't even have my nails painted. I asked for a buff about five times so they would be shiny, in the end that never happened. Felt super rushed to get out of the chair so the next client could sit. Cattle on a conveyer belt. Pedicure looks not bad but I could have done a better manicure myself. Had to file jagged edges at home afterward. Note to owner sometimes you should say no and have clients come a later time vs cramming everyone in and doing a rushed job. Coming to a salon should be a relaxing experience. read more

Eh they did a decent job. For a $28 pedi, I expect some trimming around my toesies. I purposely didn't trim my own toe nails Bc I was waiting for my pedi and didn't want to feel ripped off. They didn't trim the nail or surrounding skin. Sigh, I guess I'll have to cut them myself. Oh yeah, and my polish chipped same day. Guess just trim that part off. Act like you care! I spent the first leg of my bachelorette party with my girls at Blooming Nails & Spa. It was a FANTASTIC experience. We were able to book the entire place and all get simultaneous pedicures and manicures. We were also permitted to bring in food, drinks, and a movie to watch on their amazing big screen. We watched Mamma Mia with the singalong subtitles and by the end of the movie the staff was singing along with us. It was a perfect start to a fantastic evening out with my friends. The staff was fantastic, the mani/pedis were superb, the price was great. My manicure lasted through the night to my wedding without so much as a chip (even after a night of bumper cars and laser tag)! I highly highly highly recommend them! read more

I purposely waited a bit to post this review, but I am disappointed with my shellac/gel manicure. In actuality, it's probably the worst I've ever had. First of all they ran out of the color I chose half way through my first hand, so they had to start again. Not really a big deal, but I felt like after that I was rushed. Secondly, the next morning there was a bubble under the paint on one nail and another nail color peeled completely off. Every other day another nail lost paint. Not cool. read more

Got acrylics done here - they look alright - not the best, not the worst. They don't have the electric nail filer - they manually file your nails which doesn't leave them as smooth! The lady that did my acrylics did not seem as experienced, but later - the owner (i think) stepped in and did a good job finishing up. It seems like they specialize in pedicures - all their customers other than myself got pedicures - i guess i'll have to try that next time! read more

I've gotten dozens of pedicures at a number of salons and spas over the years, and this was definitely one of the best! The place was extremely clean, the ladies were friendly, and they did a fantastic job. Their basic pedicure includes little extras that most places charge more for - like warm booties while the lotion is soaking in and a salt scrub on your legs in addition to the regular calf massage. I left with super soft feet, neat clean cuticles, and a pretty polish job that lasted 3 weeks. This is definitely my new #1 nail place. read more

This was, hands down, the worst pedicure I've ever received in 20 years. They don't trim the skin around your nails. They don't put any effort into removing calluses. They put the polish on so thick it will slide off your nail. I'm not really sure what I paid for. The foot massage was sub par at best. Won't be back. read more

Went in recently for a french manicure and was not impressed. It was chipping that same night which was fine because it wasn't nice enough for me to want to show off. The white was far from even which could have been a result of her talking and laughing the entire time to the other person there (there were two employees and I was the only customer). The (silent) show on the big screen was some history thing and was not pretty to look at nor was it at all entertaining because there was no sound to narrate what it was showing. I prefer the scenery pictures they've previously run. I don't expect them to talk to me during my manicure, but I do think it's rude when I'm the only customer and they laugh and talk to each other the ENTIRE time. Especially if they're not going to do a very good job. Now I do french manicures myself (paint on the white and touch it up with a teeny, firm makeup brush and some polish remover)! read more

I am pretty picky about where I get my nails done but when I only have a two hour break between classes and I need my nails done this place is good I've decided. Anna did my shellac manicure and it turned out great. It is a little more expensive than my go to spot when I have more time and I am by my parent's house. I've never had a hot stone pedicure but it feels lovely. I wanted to treat myself because I worked hard at school and I got a new job that is hard on my feet (I work in kid's shoes at Nordstrom where I am constantly running back and forth from the stock room) but i highly suggest the hot stone pedicure! I'll probably update this review after a couple more visits! But my nails look nice and cleaned up and my feet are rested and rejuvenated thanks to Blooming nails! read more

I've had almost every service possible at Blooming Nails and Spa. I don't even live near Bothell but I end up here a lot. I started coming here for an occasional eyebrow and lip wax during lunch at work. During this quick visits I didn't get a chance to take in or appreciate the place. My friends invited me out to a pedicure date and we went here. They got us all in and gave us all awesome pedicures. Having a group of 7 is hard but they managed. I tried them out for a facial once (after having a facial at a uber nice hotel spa I was jonsing for one). They weren't spa good but it was relaxing and they have a lot of facial options. I recently had a manicure there and am impressed with how my nails look. I'm not particularly kind to them and the coat has lasted through a bonfire and other shenanigans. Sometimes they over-promise when they can have a person done. Almost every nail and spa place does this. They are quite professional compared to other places. I wanted to like this place because it is so close to where I work but I had a terrible experience. Went in the day before thanksgiving and was able to get right in but the women who did my nails so super pushy on what color myself and the client next to me should get. Luckily, I'm not all that picky and wanted something for the holidays but the client next to me wanted just a french and she was so persistent that she get the same as me. I'm paying for what I want, and while I appreciate recommendations this is a huge turn off. In addition, there was no hand massage nor back massage even though I saw other clients receive one. I've been here a number of times, having an "ok" experience and I've come back because it's so close to my house. Today I had by far the worst manicure of my life. I'm not too picky, but the whole thing (15 minutes was all) was so bad! My cuticles look as bad as when I walked in because she just pushed them around, didn't actually use a clipper. The paint job was gloopy. It didn't seem like there was a reason to be rushed so I don't understand why the experience was so quick and lacking things you'd expect. Sadly, I have to take my business elsewhere and would not recommend unless the experience is significantly improved. read more

Typically give sub-standard customer service. I've been to this salon a only a few times over the years because I always leave feeling like I was an inconvenience to them. For my last visit I came to the salon at 6:30 (30 minutes before closing) and they rushed my nails, leaving them looking uneven and the top coat not fully covering the paint, when NO ONE else was in the salon. I got shellac and still after 3 days my nails chipped so I know it was because of the top coat issue. They have a nice salon and great location but I wish they gave more attention to the quality of service they give. read more

Seated now after, "3 min, 3 min." Packed place, 3 techs...more customers coming in. Said I would come back--"no, no!" Everyone told 3 min. And I waited...9 customers and still 3 techs. Was seated at a dry tub at 2:50 to wait for 4 minutes (and YES! At this point I had my phone timer on because I just had a weird vibe) before the tech who was working on someone next to me turned the water on. Put my feet in only to have her slap them away--"not ready!" Oookkaayy...Soaked maybe 30 seconds...haven't been spoken to at all and now a tech is shaving the **** out of my feet (I love a good hard scrub, but holy hell!. I even asked her to stop!). 2:58 -- massage starts...and 3:02 both legs rubbed with lotion and sitting in weird hot booties. My feet were burning, so I asked if this was the paraffin (I obviously knew it wasn't) the lady next to me even tried to help me get the burning booties off--(I'm no stranger to pedis and paraffin). My tech is now redoing the toes of the woman next to me. I asked if this burning was normal, knowing it's not. Took the bootie off myself. Ended up saying I am going to leave-and did. The tops of my feet are burning. read more

I was in need of a pedicure to relax and get pampered while in town. I've gone to a lot of nail salons where I live in California but this place really went the extra mile to make your legs and feet feel great. The pedicure lasted 45 minutes and included sitting in the comfy massage chair, a foot soak in warm water, the normal routine of filing nails, a nice scrub of the feet and legs with an invigorating salt scrub, a great foot and leg massage, and a relaxing 10 minutes of my feet wrapped in these warmed up booties. Got the french tip pedicure and it came out nicely. Left feeling very relaxed. It's nice that the shop is not lit brightly, they have very relaxing music playing, and a television playing videos of gorgeous landscapes rather than any annoying talk shows or soaps. Don't go here for acrylic nails. The staff don't listen to you, they don't use the right tools, they don't even have airbrush services for french manicure on acrylic nails. My fill took THREE HOURS, cost FORTY DOLLARS, and my nails were thick, spoon-shaped, and more fake looking than Lee Press-Ons. The polish PEELED OFF like bad paint within 24 hours, and the deep scratches and gouges left behind by the poor sanding job were incredible. Sure it's pretty, and apparently the pedis are decent, but the staff were rude (including and especially the officious owner who did my fill!) and SLOOOOOOOW and EXPENSIVE. Parking is a pain in the butt too. read more

Went in yesterday for a walk in manicure, and was greeted rudely. The lady who did my manicure was very unfriendly, grumbled about my "uneven" nails (that's why I wanted to have a manicure in the first place), and totally rushed through everything. When she was finished, she ubruptly got up and the only thing she said was "wait five minutes and don't touch"! No, 'goodbye" or "thank you". This place is the best. It has great ambiance, service and quality. They always have nice music playing and a DVD of nature scenes playing on a huge flat screen TV. It seems like a strange thing to comment about, but the lighting is really nice. It is soft, but not too dim, just perfect for relaxing. The ladies that work there all seem to understand that one of the best parts of getting a mani-pedi is relaxing and they act accordingly. Not impressed at all. Went in to get my Shellac removed/redone. The manicurist soaked my nails for literally 2 minutes before trying to scrape the shellac off. When that didn't work, she started filing the shellac off, taking layers of my nails with it. My nails are now really brittle and thin. She only soaked my finger tips in water for about 1 minute and didn't use any cuticle remover. It's not been a week and the shellac is already beginning to lift - I can usually last 2 - 3 weeks. I did not see the instruments come out of a sanitizer - in fact, all the tools were just in a little white basket. The nail file and buffer she used definitely had been used before. I felt very rushed. My nails are all different lengths and it really looks like I could have done with 1 more coat of color. When I came to pay, I found their prices had gone up 10% from what was shown on their website. I only came in because of the good reviews and lower prices but I won't be back. read more

I had been going to another salon close to home for years and was very happy there. They did a good job, just nothing special. I tried to make a pedi appt there & they weren't able to get me in so I went to Blooming Nails instead. WOW! They went above and beyond. They did the typical stuff...cleaning and shaping, exfoliation, painting, but the added bonus was the hot stone massage & warm booties. And it was the same price as the other place! And, truth be told the other place nearly massaged my legs to bruising. Those little girls are STRONG! I don't want to name my old go-to place because they do a good job. But Blooming Nails is my new home. Clean, super friendly and the cost ($28) can't be beat for the pampering they provide. read more
