It's a lottery win of buffets - a carnivores dream. Every bite delicious. Well done Blossom!

Good selection of your typical buffet foods. Dinner includes many seafood dishes that were well cooked. Our waitress was sweet and kept our drinks filled. Nothing to complain about, Blossom is one of the better buffets in the Columbia area. My favorite part is the soft serve machine ;)

Much better than most, this buffet was super busy and despite that, they kept it well stocked and clean. It is a large restaurant and they have a big set of steam tables with a good variety of the usual Chinese-American options. I was able to make some good choices and that included some decent sushi. I did not spot any disposable gloves but I had brought my own and that meant I wasn't touching the tongs that everyone else was handling. My waitress cleared dirty plates and refilled my drink often enough. I had a good experience here. [Review 19352 overall - 926 in South Carolina - 322 of 2023.]

I have mixed feelings…read more I ordered a ramen soup with pork. It tasted 'ok'. Not the worst I've had, not the best. I was happy to try it though. What I didn't really like was their policy of charging money for tap water. You don't expect this in America. I went to their soda machine to get some water, thinking there would be some cheap $0.01 plastic cups, and that's when I saw a sign saying you have to pay for water. NOT what I expected after ordering and paying for a ramen soup. I asked if there was any way to get a free cup of water, thinking maybe they kept the cups behind the counter, and they said no, you have to buy a cup for the tap water. In my mind, if you have to nickle and dime us $0.50 for tap water, you're doing things wrong as a business. Charge what you have to so people don't have to ask about paying money for tap water and you don't have to put up stupid signs saying you have to pay for water. I mean, come on. That looks SO PETTY and CHEAP! This place was so low life, they even had signs saying don't sit down until you order something taped on the walls all around the restaurant. That really made it look cheap. Where am I, China? Pakistan? Didn't feel like Japan... and certainly didn't feel like America. I didn't try to use the restroom. I don't know if they charge a fee for that... or the toilet paper... I think we as a society need to strongly push back against this type of 'fee' trend in restaurants. Yea, it's their business and they can run it the way they want, but I can also give a poor review and not come back. Your choice. I would of tipped the worker $3-4 based on service. Instead I was charged $0.50 and won't come back.

From the moment we stepped inside, the experience completely shifted. The interior is truly spectacular--quiet, intimate, and thoughtfully designed. The space is petite yet incredibly intentional, and it immediately evokes the feeling of being transported to Japan. While I've never personally been to Japan, this restaurant genuinely took me out of a Western setting and placed me into what felt like a Japanese dining experience. Each table is sectioned off with dividers, which adds a layer of privacy while still maintaining an open, welcoming atmosphere that reminds you that you're still in the United States. It's a perfect balance between intimacy and accessibility, and it contributes greatly to the overall ambiance. I ordered the karaage meal, which came with a cabbage salad and rice. At first, I was concerned it might not be enough food, but it ended up hitting the spot in ways I didn't expect. While I could have eaten more, I was genuinely satisfied and comfortable by the end of the meal, which speaks volumes about the quality and balance of the dish. When placing my order, I also requested soup and mentioned to our server that I had been coughing earlier. Even though I wasn't actively coughing in the restaurant, she went out of her way to bring me hot tea to help soothe my throat. That level of care and attentiveness went well beyond expectations. She was incredibly polite, well-mannered, and made sure we felt genuinely taken care of throughout our visit. The value here is outstanding--not just for the food, but for the service, atmosphere, and overall experience. Everything comes together seamlessly, and it truly feels like a home run. There was no long wait to be seated; we walked in, told them how many people were in our party, and were seated promptly. For dessert, I ordered the matcha cheesecake. I went in with certain expectations based on what I was used to, and while it leaned more toward a New York-style cheesecake flavored with matcha rather than a traditional Japanese-style cheesecake, it was still very enjoyable and well-executed. Overall, everything--from the value and location to the food, service, and atmosphere--was excellent. I would absolutely recommend this place and plan to return the next time I'm back in town. I'm looking forward to trying more items on the menu and bringing more friends along with me. A sincere thank you to the young lady who went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience.

We walk in and the hostess quickly tells us it's a 20-25 minute wait but there is no one in the restaurant ( 1-2 tables occupied) but she said we could order to go. My group of 4 adults and a 4 yr old decided to wait. After 10 minutes we were given a table. The restaurant ambience is very classy, trendy, and beautiful. Small bar at the front. Our server Michelle let us know the kitchen was closing soon and to place our order. We were prepared and placed the order immediately. For ~$98 we got two "pick two" hibachi plates, the sushi sampler (spicy tuna and California roll), garlic soy edamame, a cucumber roll, two drinks and waters. The hibachi comes with soup and salad. I gave the review a 3 star because the food was cold and the soup was cold. The kitchen made the wrong hibachi order for my husband but quickly refixed it with more cold food. My edamame was hot and tasty. Sushi came with no chopped sticks and no ramekins for the soy sauce. We were patient with this because it was late but be wary going an hour before closing. Our server's personality was the redeeming quality. She was very sweet and friendly. When we exited the restaurant we walked past five different employees and not a single one made eye contact or thanked us for our business. It almost seemed liked they were annoyed we stayed during posted business hours... Most people that came after us left. So warning again don't go late unless you can withstand this. Apologies for my pics- I forgot to take before we started dining.

From the outside, it doesn't look like a whole lot, but the inside was quite meticulously kept and had plenty of space to eat in, though most of their fairly vigorous business was takeout. As Poke-type places go, this one offered a ton of options. Virtually any diet could be accommodated, vegan and gluten-free easily so but also whatever you'd want in terms of limiting carbs. They had a splendid selection of ingredients with multiple fruits, several ways to get your greens, but also some delicious crunchy things and spicy sauces. And it was a good sized bowl. It was one of the better such bowls I've had, and for the ingredient quality, the price was not bad. Having been impressed into ordering a tea, I did not like that as much. My lychee tea was not excessively sweet, but the fruitiness didn't quite make up for it. The popping boba didn't quite pop the way I'd hoped either. Maybe another drink would have been better but I preferred the food over the tea. Still given the range of options available, I really could not have expected much better of a meal than this.
