Omfg this place is great. Atmosphere: small country cafe, simple, clean, & efficient. Service: pretty good, friendly staff was moderately busy and still got refills Food: absolutely amazing. Ordered the brioche French toast. I asked for no whipped cream (I hate the stuff). Normally not a marmalade fan but I figured why not. Also got eggs, bacon, and hash browns with gravy. Bacon was amazing, eggs good, hash brown really good. Now for the French toast. Omfg so fantastic. The fruit topping was fresh and not super sugary, the brioche has a wonderful flavor, and the cream! The orange marmalade cream cheese in the middle was amazing. Not too sweet, not too bitter, and not over mixed. I have major texture issues and can't handle the texture of whipped stuff. So the not over mixed part was super important to me. My husband got the farmers omelette with biscuits and gravy, and a coffee. Nice and smoky flavor, tomato added a great fresh element and was topped with REAL shredded cheddar cheese. The biscuits and gravy were very good. Simple country gravy, with a fluffy and buttery biscuit. The coffee wasn't over cooked and tasted good. To top it all off after a $5 tip only ran us $32. Will totally come back. read more

We went on a Wednesday so it was very crowded, probably the reason this is when they have their specials. So we had to wait understandable, finally we were seated and I and my wife had the chili Verde with flour tortillas. I rate the chili Verde from one to 10 a 3. Did not have no taste even when we put hot sauce it just was not good. The beans were awful and red potatoes look like just came from the boiling water N fried. My favorite place ever. Any plate I've ever ordered has exceeded expectations. I come here often, and they never disappoint.

Disappointed on their service. Gave them a second chance and it was just as disappointing. They don't keep track of who they serve or who they haven't served yet so you can end up waiting 30min just to put in your order for drinks. Tried to flag down a waitress for help and just got told they are busy and they walked away. Highly don't recommend. Came out of the Sierras hungry, looking for a local place to rest and eat. The place was packed so we sat at the counter. We were served quickly and courteously and the food was delicious. My husband and I are new to the area and wanted to try a new place for breakfast. This was the only place around besides Denny's which you can get anywhere. We were seated quickly, staff was super friendly and quick. Food was really good. I got the Farmer's Omelette and my husband got the Veggie Omelette. Big portions, moderate prices and great service. Food has gone downhill. My parents live near here and used to eat here probably twice a week. They have stopped serving Italian food for dinner (and I think may be not even serving dinner) which was their favorite. They would bring me takeout when they came over, always the Cobb salad. A couple years ago it was wonderful, a whole chicken breast, most of an avocado, tons of bacon, tomatoes, egg, cheese, etc. Over the past few months it has lessened greatly in quality and quantity, like they're trying to pinch pennies. This time, there was NO CHICKEN BREAST. Instead, about an ounce of turkey shavings. (See picture) And the avocado was only 3-4 slices. I told my parents and she said they've done that to her before while eating in and she commented on it and they brought her out a chicken breast. Ummm, that does not seem like an optional thing to me! They said several other items have gone downhill too. They didn't put cheese on my moms breakfast that she always gets. Their portions have shrunk. $10 for a salad with basically no protein is ridiculous. read more

Boy, was the Blossom Trail Cafe a sight for sore eyes--not to mention a sight for two road tripping city kids who were dying to relieve their bladders! The Blossom Trail Cafe is awesome! Quick service, good food, clean restrooms, and last but not least, friendly waitresses! We ate lunch here because it was either here or Subway... my rule of thumb: when you are on a road trip, support the local fare. Ordered a burger and an Italian chicken wrap (I think). Food was piping hot; the fries were good! They even have green Tabasco here, hence the 5 star rating! I am definitely up for a repeat visit to the Blossom Trail Cafe if I ever find myself in this part of CA again. read more

Service 4 stars, Food 3.5 stars There are not a lot of choices to eat in Sanger so it was refreshing to go to a new place upon my return over the holidays. I was very surprised to find good service and a pleasant waitress with a nice smile. You don't get a lot of smiles these days. The atmosphere was that of a family style diner and although the place was full, we received excellent service. I ordered what amounted to a California style omelette with sourdough toast. Both items looked and tasted great. My companions who frequent the restaurant a lot said it was one of their favorite places to go. They also explained that one of the chefs used to own his own restaurant and that a few nights a week he will cook Italian dishes for dinner. Too bad we weren't going to be around for dinner. As places come and go in Sanger, I hope this place is around the next time I am in town as I enjoyed my breakfast here and would like to check out one of those Italian nights. read more

Country cafe with down-to-earth food and excellent service. There aren't many places to eat when you are way out in the country. This corner cafe is very popular with travelers as well as locals. This place is usually good, today however was not their best day. The waitress tried to make it right but the food was old. I ordered a sourdough turkey sandwich, salad and soup. Salad was wilted with dried tomatoes old onions, my sourdough was so dry that when I picked up my sandwich it crumbled. I returned it and they gave me another plate without a salad and more dried up bread! Shame on them! The meal cost was $10.25 and they charged me $4.99 for the bowl of soup I ate. That's ridiculous in my opinion!! Hopefully they can provide better service next time, like I said, usually a good place to eat! read more

Took a drive out to the river and noticed the Blossom Trail Café on our way up. Did a quick turn around and decided to stop. Stangely, we ordered the same meals that we had the day before in Lodi, a patty melt and fish and chips. What we got the day before was clearly an artisan meal w/ a home-made quality. What we got at the Blossom Café looked like frozen fish/shrimp and a pre-formed patty. It tasted okay, on par w/ any Denny's/diner type restaurant. Tried having breakfast a couple of times. Average in my opinion, but I'm really not a breakfast person. Breakfast burritos are good and huge! For lunch, it is very good. Burgers are big and meaty. Good amount of fries or curly fries if you dare. Want something different? Turkey pesto sandwich is a great choice or the Chipotle asada fries, yum! Monterey chicken burger is delicious and half was enough to fill me up, saved half for dinner. So many more menu items left to try. I will keep coming back. read more

I was a customer at this cafe last weekend April 2nd & witnessed very unprofessional behavior by two employees named Caroline & Lily. They were berating wait staff in front of customers. As an employee advocate in the Bay Area I would encourage the entire wait staff especially, the white busser to file a discrimination lawsuit with the feds against this establishment. If I were the owner I would be embarrassed by the behavior of Caroline & Lily. The reason I am giving a 2 star rating is due to customer service. It started off well, we went on a Saturday morning, not much of a wait, we were given a table quickly and given coffee. Then other people started coming in and the people that came in after us were getting their orders taken before we did. We were waiting for someone to take our order for about 20 minutes due to being forgotten or skipped and it wasn't that busy. I still gave a tip at the cash register because I thought the food tasted good, we ate and stepped outside to continue our conversation in the parking lot. We left the restaurant satisfied until one of the waiters came outside to ask us if we left a tip on the table (supposedly because the waitresses had asked him to ask). Which is a question that I believe shouldn't be asked. Food was good in my opinion but due to customer service; I am not planning on going back. read more

Went to Blossom Trail Cafe for brunch on a Thursday. They were busy but we got a table for 5 after a short wait. It took about 25 minutes for the waitress to take our orders, but the food arrived after an acceptable amount of time. The only problem with the food was that one of us ordered a tri tip sandwich but got a French dip instead. He didn't complain, just accepted it. No drink refills were offered and even after requesting the check, the waitress was so slow to give it to us that we had to go to the register to get it and pay. We gave her a minimal tip. So if we go there again, we'll make sure we have plenty of time. read more

Firstly, this place is amazing. Food is amazing! Pick anything on the menu- you won't be disappointed. My husband and I both work in Sanger and sorta became regulars. Only reason why I'm giving it 3 stars is because as of late, their service has been lacking. We were initially passive about the extra wait time it took for them to take our orders but we started to notice it more and more during the last few times we've eaten there. My husband and I went there yesterday at our usual time (1pm, right after the lunch rush). It wasn't busy, which is what we are used to at that time - but we had to flag down the server who took our drink orders to find someone to take our order after 15 min. Place was already half empty. By the time we got our food, we had no more time to eat and had to get it to go (my lunch hour was now up). Needless to say, we both decided not to go there anymore unless we are willing to spend well over an hour there. The servers are great, don't get me wrong. I just don't understand how they were slow to service us nowadays when we never had that problem before. read more

I had breakfast there today had chili verde and eggs. Was good except the chili verde was not pork or in a green sauce. Pretty disappointed. It was beef in a brown sauce. Not chili verde as I know it. Tasted like pot roast. This happened to my brother in santa cruz last year too. Guess next time I order it at a restaurant I'll ask how it is prepared. Lessons learned. The best part about this dinning experience was my departure! As soon as we were seated we were asked our drink orders... I ordered coffee and the server didn't bring any sugar or creamer.... we waited about 5 minutes until my boyfriend got up and got it himself. Then, about 3 minutes later as I was still looking over the menu, someone came and asked if we were ready to order... um... if I'm looking at the menu, then that would be a definite "no." I told her I wasn't ready yet, and she left. Once we put in our order (of which I ordered a veggie omelet and home fries) and the food came... I was severely disappointed by how undercooked the home fries were and the blandness of the omelet; not a hint of flavor or salt anywhere - I had to use ketchup and salt to give it flavor.
