Solid location, dishing out decent food. The parking lot is nice and big so you're not gonna be worried about getting your car dinged. The restaurant itself is large and there's no loud music/noise other than a low volume TV. I could do without! I tried the chicken fried steak with hash browns, eggs over easy and a side of biscuits and gravy. On a 1 to 10 scale, I would rate it as a 6. The biscuits/gravy was barely lukewarm and nothing special. Boo! The roomy restaurant was not busy and the service was good. I think my waitress checked on me three times.. I will come back sometime because I'm curious about their chili verde! The nachos also look interesting. The staff here seems entirely Spanish, so I'm interested in whether or not there's some unique flourish that transferred through and into their version. Only one way to find out. We came here for breakfast one morning and all I can say is the portions were enormous. I don't get intimidated often but this place had me second guessing my life's choices. With all joking aside, the food was good for a country kitchen cafe. The service was attentive and friendly. I felt it was a little on the pricey side, but I've noticed that is a common trend in the ranchos. I don't think you'll be disappointed dining here, but you won't be wowed either. read more

Great little spot that definitely gets busy on the weekends. We had a gift card and a child free weekend so we decided to make the drive out to this spot. Prices are high but I mean that's just everywhere now. It's not a very big place but it's clean. My hubby got the traditional eggs Benedict $18.99 it came with fresh fruit and potatoes. It was really good but the potatoes could have used a little more time to crisp up more. I got the farmers Benedict $17.85 and it came with a choose of potatoes, they put scrambled egg on top instead of poached eggs and I asked if the could do the poached instead and they did for no extra charge . I was not in love with their biscuit flavor and texture wasn't it for me. I think for this area this a great local spot , if we are in the area or wanting to go for a drive I'd stop by again , but just maybe order something else. read more

Small town diner feel with friendly (though sometimes rushed) service. The menu has a wide range of options with diner favorites like chicken fried steak and fish and chips, to Mexican options (burritos, menudo and posole). The prices have gone up in recent years, but this restaurant provides large portions for the price. Some things can be hit or miss, on a recent visit my uncles chicken wings were cold in the middle and my dad's fish and chips were not served hot or crispy. However, the servers are very friendly and have no problem correcting issues that arise. The Chile verde nachos I ordered on my last visit were delicious and had a generous amount of toppings. Other favorites are the fried zucchini, southwest eggrolls, shrimp fettuccine alfredo and the chicken fried steak. Overall, a solid hometown spot to stop for a meal. read more

Stopped in for lunch have never been here we were welcomed in by staff seated right away menu was full of decisions ended up ordering biscuits and gravy fish and chips and bowl of chili. Ranchos Liberty Cafe offers catering and they are amazing! Jefferson and his staff were very accommodating. They handled every detail so all I had to do was tell them how many servings I needed. It was a delicious buffet style meal with tri tip, chicken breasts, rice pilaf, vegetables, salad and bread. Very generous servings and all my guests enjoyed it very much. We love Ranchos Liberty Cafe. Great food, great service, old town feel. It is our go to.

We wanted to stop for a quick breakfast on the way home from visiting a family member and we decided to stop here. I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the establishment and the friendliness of the staff! I ordered a veggie omelet with country potatoes and a biscuit. The omelet tasted amazing, and the potatoes were excellent. The biscuit was a bit dry but tasted great. Our server was extremely helpful and friendly, as well! Not sure if we will be regulars there since we don't go to Madera often, but definitely on the radar for another visit if we ever find our self in Madera around breakfast time again. read more

Stopped in solo for a quick dinner after some biz in Madera. The food is great. Best smoked tri tip I've had in a while. Get the bbq trio. Pics didn't do it justice. Incredible chicken breast, pork ribs and tri tip with loaded baked potato. Killer steamed veggies and garlic bread. Started off with a very fresh salad, wet n dry blue cheese. Well..for breakfast I like doing the garden omlette with extra hollandaise sauce on the side with Hasbrowns and pancakes. For lunch.. I could never go wrong with the The club sandwich (triple decker deliciousness) with sweet potato fries extra crispy. Then there's dinner.. if you haven't tried any appetizers.. I definitely would recommend getting the sampler. Best way to have a taste at all their appetizers. My dinner fave aside from their prime rib Saturdays.. is the blackened chicken pasta. First time and last time. Came in with friends on a Saturday. We decided to sit outside, bad mistake. First all the tables were dirty really dirty and on two people out there beside a staff member put silverware together. There was also only two people inside so I don't know why everything was dirty. I ordered shrimp and pasta the sauce was runny like pouring water on pasta. Shrimp was cooked beautifully but sauce and noodles we a disaster. Our waitress was all to eager to leave still tipped her. My wife and I visit this place after service every Sunday. The food is great it does matter what you order you will leave satisfied. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. This was my second visit to Ranchos Liberty Cafe and I wasnt disappointed! We had burgers, chicken fried steak with amaxing gravy and open faced turkey. Huge servings arrived quickly and we all enjoyed our food! We were all stuffed but split a beautiful hunk of bread pudding that was amazing.
