Eh.. it's not the same. New owners? I went in to get a cold brew. A black cold brew. There was four girls behind the counter on their phones. One took my order and I paid. Then I stood there while the girls talk to each other. I'm a patient person so I just kept standing there and about four minutes later one of them goes "oh hi is someone taking care of you?" The lights were off too. Just an odd vibe Ehhhh no thanks

Came in , two people behind counter but we waited for them to acknowledge us but there was one person talking to the guy at register. Place wasn't busy and no line. Anyhow I tried the matcha latte , almost $9 but it did taste good . Cold brew also and this was $16 for those two items so definitely pricey compared to other coffee places. It was cute place but table didn't seem cleaned off. Also black plastic top on cup is a no no,, didn't they see the news about it?

Great ambience to get work done in. 10 or so tables as well as a high countertop. Around 10am on a weekday all tables were full, but an hour later it cleared up. Single stall bathroom. Shares space with matcha tea store. Items are a bit pricey, however, and the wifi is quite spotty. I had to ask the barista to reset the router and even then one of my devices couldn't connect and I had to use my hotspot. Would say it's worth it for the atmosphere though, since there aren't many coffee shops around the area. Would be nice to have a bigger selection of pastries as well rather than just whole meal options.

    $11 strawberry matcha latte

Got a large strawberry matcha latte. Came out to $11.00! I'm thinking this should be the best matcha of my life for that price...it tasted very bland and had a funky aftertaste as if the strawberries weren't fresh. Which is a shame because it does seem like a higher quality matcha powder than others in the area. Won't be returning

Love this place! I usually come here on the weekends to do homework. Today I had a avocado toast with bacon and egg on sourdough and also had a lavender lemonade. it is to die for! The cashier was really nice and accommodating and warm. Place is always really nice and clean. Bathrooms are are really clean as well.

Here's the Scoop! Decided to stop by to have the avocado and egg breakfast. It was light and delicious. Service is quick! However, the downfall is there's nowhere to sit because students with laptops take all the seats. So, you'll probably have to take your food to go, we lucked up to get a seat because a couple was leaving but the dining room holds about 6-8 tables and 7 of those have students seated on laptops! The counter seating is to hot because of the sun. I think management needs to say to the students if you're not eating our other customers want to sit and eat in. Next time, if I return I would like to try something else on the menu and see if seating has changed.

Every time I am on Long Island, I make it a priority to go to the Blue Bean Cafe for a bite to eat along with some study time. The marble tables, foliage, and calligraphic signage make the atmosphere quite inviting and bright. It's super nice to come here on a sunny day as the large windows allow ample light to enter! I usually order an iced coffee with oatmilk and the avocado toast with scrambled eggs and feta on top. The toast was fairly decent and the portion was sizeable. They make beautifully crafted drinks that I am excited to try in the future! I only give this place a 4 star rating because it took a little long for them to prepare some simple orders. I'm excited to spend more study sessions here in the future, and I highly recommend any student come here for a perfect balance between work and relaxation!

First time here and I genuinely regret not getting something to eat because everything smelled so delicious. I got the iced strawberry matcha with oat milk and it was incredible. Will absolutely be back!

Solid study spot! But the tables are minuscule. The ambiance was very nice + definitely very clean The macademia nut latte was something new + interesting. I wouldn't it was AMAZING because it didn't really taste like coffee after they added all that milk and flavors. The truffle fries tho! So good! The sauce too (i think it was a mix of ketchup and mayo). It was a great study snack! I was definitely productive here :). Thanks BBC!

I was super excited to try this place based on the pictures and people's ratings. However, despite both of the drinks we got being nearly $10 each, the flavor is very bland. The Thai Iced Tea has very little flavor, and the Matcha flavor was almost non existent since it was overpowered by the mango flavor.

It doesn't cause me to suddenly have intense feelings of love for where I grew up and the place I live on (not in), but I will say that the saying does make me thing of some pretty tasty dessert. Enter Strong Island Ice Cream and the couple of enjoyable trips my wife and I took here. Located in Nesconset (not too far from my Ronkonkoma abode), Strong Island is nestled into a strip of stores with nothing in the interior that makes it any more desirable than the average ice cream parlor...other than its ice cream. You see their ice cream is all fresh and homemade which you don't get everywhere (despite what you might think). You can tell there's a little bit of love put into most flavors and owner Paul holds this down when you come into order. He's a relatively friendly guy who seems to enjoy what he does. For me, my enjoyment comes from eating the ice cream! My wife and I have taken two trips here a few weeks apart and both times we ordered a couple different flavors in cups to go. When mentioning flavors, it is rather impressive to see the amount of options available. Nothing is overly exotic (you're not gonna find some banana peanut butter cookie dough here), but the choices are still pretty vast. Our first trip, I got two scoops (Nutella and chocolate peanut butter) with hot fudge while my wife did two scoops as well with cookie dough and rainbow cookie being her choices. Out of the four flavors, three were rockin' with Nutella having that hazelnut taste, chocolate PB getting nutty, and rainbow cookie fully delivering the cookie goods. As for cookie dough, it was missing the titled item within its flavor (which my wife hoped there would be plenty of doughy pieces, yet there were not). Second trip, the lady went with Nutella while I switched over to fruity in getting black raspberry which hit the spot in creamy/fruity flavor. Yum. Overall, Strong Island Ice Cream definitely has the power to be a legit dessert spot on the island that it identifies with. Maybe a few flavors aren't perfect, but most will hit the spot and so will your experience here. So whether you're a born and raised Islander or just looking for a scoop of what you scream and I scream and we all scream, Strong Island is worth the after dinner trip.
