they have good coffee but the place seems very self important, charge a lot and service is fine but nothing crazy. there's no prices listed anywhere so it's a surprise when you pay, and it seems like they're not posted for a reason. Blue Bean Cafe might be one of the best coffee shops on Long Island. It's a fantastic spot to get some work done. I ordered a caramel iced latte and a butterscotch latte, and both were delicious. Came in , two people behind counter but we waited for them to acknowledge us but there was one person talking to the guy at register. Place wasn't busy and no line. Anyhow I tried the matcha latte , almost $9 but it did taste good . Cold brew also and this was $16 for those two items so definitely pricey compared to other coffee places. Great ambience to get work done in. 10 or so tables as well as a high countertop. Around 10am on a weekday all tables were full, but an hour later it cleared up. Single stall bathroom. Shares space with matcha tea store. Items are a bit pricey, however, and the wifi is quite spotty. I had to ask the barista to reset the router and even then one of my devices couldn't connect and I had to use my hotspot. Would say it's worth it for the atmosphere though, since there aren't many coffee shops around the area. Would be nice to have a bigger selection of pastries as well rather than just whole meal options. read more

Here's the Scoop! Decided to stop by to have the avocado and egg breakfast. It was light and delicious. Service is quick! However, the downfall is there's nowhere to sit because students with laptops take all the seats. So, you'll probably have to take your food to go, we lucked up to get a seat because a couple was leaving but the dining room holds about 6-8 tables and 7 of those have students seated on laptops! The counter seating is to hot because of the sun. I think management needs to say to the students if you're not eating our other customers want to sit and eat in. Next time, if I return I would like to try something else on the menu and see if seating has changed. read more

Every time I am on Long Island, I make it a priority to go to the Blue Bean Cafe for a bite to eat along with some study time. The marble tables, foliage, and calligraphic signage make the atmosphere quite inviting and bright. It's super nice to come here on a sunny day as the large windows allow ample light to enter! I usually order an iced coffee with oatmilk and the avocado toast with scrambled eggs and feta on top. The toast was fairly decent and the portion was sizeable. They make beautifully crafted drinks that I am excited to try in the future! I only give this place a 4 star rating because it took a little long for them to prepare some simple orders. I'm excited to spend more study sessions here in the future, and I highly recommend any student come here for a perfect balance between work and relaxation! read more

I have been here many times and usually it was amazing but after they closed and re opened it was obviously not the same, but still good.

I was super excited to try this place based on the pictures and people's ratings. However, despite both of the drinks we got being nearly $10 each, the flavor is very bland. The Thai Iced Tea has very little flavor, and the Matcha flavor was almost non existent since it was overpowered by the mango flavor. read more

Oh it pains me to say this because I've been waiting to try them as soon as I heard they would be opening. The place is spacious and the decor clean, fresh and inviting. The young ladies whom I believe might have been the owners were very nice and friendly. I ordered a cortado and it had a sort of sour taste. Also the latte art, which I wouldn't have expected except since I follow them on social media, all their pics of coffee's have it, was lacking. I loved the healthy options on the menu & the fact that the burgers were grass fed! The sole reason I reviewed Blue Bean as a 4 star rating is due to a staff member who consistently had an attitude. She always seemed to be bothered to take your order & not very approachable (she was frequently there each time I visited.) The other staff for the most part were all pleasant (especially the shorter girl with the dark hair!) Though, lots of times I would walk in wait times for the food would be a lot longer than expected. However, I still have hopes that this establishment returns! The matcha flavor in their drinks are strong and the fruit combinations still taste fresh and flavorful. The drinks are definitely pricey but it is definitely one of the better iced matchas I have had at a shop. The interior decor is also neat and hip. The fries are salted to perfection- almost identical to McDonald's fries. Grilled cheese was flavorful and crispy. I wish I had more tomato soup for dipping though. I ordered the BUX to compare and I'm not gonna say it's bad because I just didn't like the almond milk. I should've tried it with regular milk to be safe. I wanted to love this place, but do not. Let's start with the positives: The place is cute and the hot chocolate was delicious. I'm done! Let's move onto the pricey food. I've never paid $10.50 for an egg sandwich, not even in Europe, unless it came with potatoes or a side of fruit. No wonder they do not have any prices on their menus. I asked what was on the egg sandwich and was told the egg sandwich was a build your own, but no prices were listed. I wanted eggs, Swiss, and bacon on a bagel. They do not have bagels or Swiss cheese, but that was okay; so I ordered the sandwich with cheddar on a brioche bun. Well, that was a big mistake. I did not like the cheese. It tasted like Cheez Whiz or Velveeta, and..the bun was cold. Perhaps it should have been toasted or at least warmed up. I picked it apart and then gave it to my husband. One employee was eating a salad behind the counter and seemed so uninterested in helping out.
