I love coming here with my family for brunch. Our favorite go tos are the eggs your way and we are obsessed with the avocado fries. Food is always very delicious no matter what you order. Our favorite thing to get are the iced coffees! They always have unique flavors that are named after characters from a show or movie! You are also able to customize your latte with up to three flavors. Everyone that works here is friendly and the service has never been an issue for us. The menu offers a nice selection of atypical diner/breakfast fare with an almost overwhelming selection of coffee, cocoa, and seasonal cocktails. You'll feel like you want to try everything. We had the pancake quesadillas, short rib sandwich, a bacon cheeseburger (one of the things I have to get when trying a new place, as kind of a gauge. It was pretty good), and the duck hash with eggs over medium. The food came out in a timely fashion, and was fantastic. I ate all of my duck hash and the burger #thisiswhyimfat. The others in my party took home leftovers because they always do. I'd go back again, even though this isn't close to me. This review is for TIKI TACO'S and Mai Tai's which is an evening popup style restaurant located after Crazy Beans standard hours. 4-10pm I think. So we actually wound up here because we ordered Chinease food next door. Glad we stopped in. The owner was so friendly and nice. She said the place was a concept from the old Maui Chop House from Rockypoint and her creation. Well let me tell you we ordered a small nibble of nachos with pulled pork and some teriyaki beef tacos. We figured since we ordered Chinease food next door for me and my husband. My kids would try some nachos and tacos. "Nope". We took a bite and left the Chinease food in the fridge for tomorrow's dinner. The Nachos were perfectly layered, with just enough slow cooked pulled pork that was delicious. The sauce on the nachos was a Must have and finished the plate perfect just enough to scrape the bottom. We will be back for more. Now for the Tacos, the teriyaki beef was amazing. My only gripe was with myself I should have ordered it with the pineapple or other fruit slaw. I ordered with the standard tomato lettuce. I think even though the taco was amazing the sweet slaw would have finished it just perfect. The sauce that came on the plate was amazing as well as the coconut rice I could eat a bowl of that just on its own. The prices are just right. I would say a great value for quality and taste. We will be back with the whole family to try a Bit of everything. Oops almost forgot to mention, the Hawaiian juice the owner gave us was crazy good. I want to try their Mai Tai's. Came here on a weekday so didn't have to worry about a wait or anything. Staff was quick and friendly and got us a high chair no problem. The story of the restaurant is pretty cute We got chocolate chip pancakes, a custom omelette, regular coffee and I got the toasted almond mocha bc why not. The pancakes were pretty good, you get two large pancakes with some powdered sugar and a bit of whipped cream on the side. The 2 yo loved it lol. They were yummy but just normal pancakes. We ordered the maple syrup and it comes in a tiny little jar so we got two. I know it's not a cheap option but it was like $3.50 each My husband enjoyed his omelette, which is what he usually gets anyway. The coffee was great and I really enjoyed my iced almond mocha, it was pretty delicious The place is decently sized tho I can see it get packed real fast at a peak hour on the weekends. I liked the decorations, they're those fun sarcastic retro theme which I can't help but enjoy. The bathroom was large and clean too. I've been hesitant about leaving this review. I know it's after Covid so maybe they're short staffed. I went here twice for breakfast when I was in New York. Both times I was there when they opened. The first time I went in and I was probably sat but it took 30 minutes for me to get just my coffee. Also I might want to say the waitress might want to reconsider the length of her skirt as when she bent over to get menus from podium you saw way too much. My food was good and she was kind enough to get me a to go cup for the rest of my coffee. The second time I went I had a different waitress and in about five minutes before opening they were putting tables outside. Once they were done putting the tables out I asked if I could sit there and the woman said that they were not open yet. I repeated and asked if I could just sit at the table that's outside. She said yes. Once they opened some people had went inside after me and they were served first. So again it took me almost 30 minutes just to get my coffee. Have been here several times, most of which without children. This week has been a crazy week with my son getting injured and then having surgery on his eye. Tuesday after the eye doctor appointment we stopped in because we had spent so long at the eye doctor before taking him to see a specialist that was recommended at that doctor... It was about an hour before they closed and I was worried that we would take up too much of their time because my kids were definitely overtired and I was overtired, hungry, not caffeinated... they were so amazing, helped keep my kids entertained, so I could eat, the food was amazing and a coffee was even more delicious. They were so kind to give my kids little bowls of whipped cream to keep them occupied until the food came out. completely wonderful staff. But they lose a star because for some reason they won't reveal wait times over the phone, so to me this is more of a takeout spot. Toast has a huge location now just minutes away from Crazy Beans which is just as good food-wise and Toast has have a virtual waitlist, which is great because you can join it from home! I can't say enough good things about Crazy Beans. I've been to their Miller Place, Stony Brook, and Greenport locations and I've had stellar experiences at all three. Across the board the service is fantastic-even on their busiest day. I'm a pumpkin coffee junkie and I was so pleased to see that they serve pumpkin flavored coffee even on the off season! Crazy Beans is a good place to eat. Out door seating, nice employees and good food. The atmosphere is very new age with some old classic signs thrown in there too. The servers always welcome you with a smile. However, if you're somebody who likes attentive waiters and waitresses; this place isn't for you. Once you order your drink and your food, they don't come back for a while until it's time to get the check. Perhaps this is more of a preference thing but I want my waiters checking in on me asking if I need more to drink, extra sauce, more napkins, etc. If you want to be left alone after you get your meal then this is the place for you but I personally don't like that the drinks are small and it feels like a hassle to get their attention just to get one more. This also because a question with tipping if they aren't checking up on you. The food is what's most important and it's almost always 10/10. I did ask for no avocado in my meal and and still got avocado which was disappointing to say the least but I still enjoyed what I ate. Overall, definitely recommend this place. I hope they move to a better location with more seating and also change their service techniques but it's still worth going and eating from. read more

I've ordered breakfast foods from a million different restaurants. This...this is the one. I have no idea what is in the Crazy Sauce, but I'm gonna need a Huevos Locos burrito every day for the rest of my life. (Pro tip, get extra sauce on the side and put it on your Loaded Homies, because those things are no joke.) The flavored lattes are delicious, especially the Toasted Marshmallow & Peanut Butter, though they could use another hit of the flavor. The sweetened iced tea is delish, just sweet enough to offset the savory breakfast, but not so sweet that you'll regret every decision before 10am. Fruit salad is nothing particularly special, but it's good, it's fresh, and it's nice to have when you've ordered every heavy item on the menu...don't judge me. I've been to the one in Stonybrook and also Greenport. I had different meals then and I enjoyed them. This time I did not. It was bland. The avocado toast too plain. Some garlic rubbed onto the bread prior or red onions would have dressed it up a bit. It literally was avocado on toast. This is the cutest place on Long Island, hands down. I love it here. I love the decorations on the walls. It's so bright, cute, and just comfortable. The ladies working have always been so kind, every time I go. They do take card payments, but the tips have to be cash. I have been here so many times and have tried so many things on their menu. I have never been disappointed. I don't think I ever stop smiling during my meals. The food is hearty and fills you up. It does not make you feel disgustingly full. This was my first time at this location. We were able to be seated right away. They have plenty of dividers between each table to make everyone feel more comfortable. The chalk art signs they had were really cool. They have a lot on their menu. It was tough to choose. As other tables food was being brought out we couldn't help but stare because it looked so good. We ended up trying the loaded homies which were loaded home fries with eggs. The avocado breakfast wrap . The wrap had eggs over easy , bacon , fried avocado and tomato. The eggs made it super messy! Went for breakfast with our three month old, sat at a table and planned on pushing the stroller in, in place of a chair (not in or blocking the aisles) We were told by one person that strollers weren't allowed because they are a "fire hazard" (wondering what they tell people in wheelchairs) and instead we had to put the car seat on a chair. Then a different person came up to us and said we can't put the car seat on the chair because it's not safe and a "hazard and liability to them" if the baby falls off, so we then had to put the car seat on an upside down high chair that was so unstable my husband had to keep his foot under it the entire time. Food and coffee were good as usual, but definitely won't be returning. Staff made us feel like such an inconvenience for bringing our baby. read more

We let the staff know and they offered to replace the tomato but my husband didn't need any. We ordered french toast sticks from the kids menu for our toddler. It was $6.75. Two of the smallest pieces of bread ever dusted with powdered sugar was served. We were absolutely shocked that they were charging us $7 for two really small pieces of bread on a plate. I really can't believe it. When we were paying I mentioned that I thought that price was crazy. It would have made sense if the pieces of toast were more substantial.
