A great all round experience. Employees were fabulous.. helpful, helped solve a problem (Mother Nature)!!! Tent sites are on platforms so when it rains you do not get flooded out!! Even and some come with power hook ups. We moved to a cabin after 2 days straight of rain. Clean comfortable beds. Large porch and we could dry out tents there!! Large table and 2 fire pits. Store has everything you forgot as well as things you just have to buy! Small restaurant open and they have espresso. Pool is clean and easy to sit around or splash around in. Large jump play area that keeps the kids occupied! Laundry and 2 bath houses. A definite spot to return to. read more

Really awesome KOA! The pizza was great (and they deliver right to your site, which was a huge plus), and there was a good variety of breakfast options too. Plenty of activities kept the kids busy, and it was very dog friendly -- they even have a dog wash station, which was awesome! The staff was also great and very welcoming. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the cleanliness of the cabin. It was super cute, spacious, and stocked with bedding and towels, but it didn't feel very clean when we arrived. That was the only thing that threw us off. Other than that, we had a great stay! read more

Horrible sites, they pack everyone in tight areas, expensive stay and the last stay! ATV's drive all over the place. if you have kids it may be an okay place, but couples run away!! Camping 2 feet from the next trailer is not our idea of enjoying the great outdoors! read more

We couldn't have picked a more ideal spot for our 3n stay. The plan was to hit up Custer State Park & catch a glimpse of the first 2020 baby burro, spend a day hiking the wilderness & get reacquainted with the camera. Check in was a breeze & we were shown to our spot promptly. Staff spotted us into our slot & left us to enjoy our stay. As we were in a self-contained unit, we did not accress restrooms or the shower house. The pool snd dump station are understandably closed right now. Kabins were in use. It was easy to find & access this location. It's convenient for many hiking areas, Crazy Horse, Mt Rushmore, Custer city & Custer State Park. We were greeted each morning by a bunny. The only down was loss of water on the day of departure. As we still had a rather full tank, it wasn't all that major for us, but it eould have been if empty & may have been for others. Hands down one of the best KOA's that we have stayed at!! Not only is everyone friendly and helpful but this KOA is clean and well kept! If you are thinking about seeing MT. Rushmore this is the KOA to stay at! They are pet friendly and kid friendly! They have this big inflatable jump pad, that will keep your children entertained for hours , along with a playground area and did I mention a pool!!!! They serve breakfast and dinner at a cost of course but reasonably priced. Plus the RV spots are private and well kept!! We loved it and will definitely be back when we visit again! read more

This was the third KOA we stayed at during our trip. (This one had the best showers in my opinion.) It is located a couple of miles from Custer city which makes it easily accessible for food and what not. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the cabins. They are so cute! It gets a little cold at night up here in the mountains, but luckily they provide you with a heater. The beds were comfortable, be aware you have to bring your own sheets. They offer a lot of fun activities for kids, which is a good and bad thing. (They were running around and shouting pretty late at night.) Great option for your travels, very affordable! Prices for cabins starting at about $70. read more

Friendly and helpful staff. Store was reasonably supplied with needs of you forget something. Clean bathhouse. Campgrounds well maintained and easy to maneuver even with a 32' RV. Nice location. WiFi was good except later in day when everyone must have been on it but have found that typical at each campground so not a ding against them. read more

This is a nice friendly campground. The people were very helpful and friendly. It is in a good location and quiet. the showers and restrooms are very nice and clean. the not so nice is the sites are not very level. several people were using boards and things to help with leveling, our RV was able to auto level but 3 wheels were off the ground when it finished. The WIFI is not good at all. very slow and at time not able to connect at all. it seems to work better if you try around 3-5 am many campers were using wifi extender antennas guess we need to purchase one the WIFI and unlevel sites would make me think twice about staying here again. read more

Thee Most Awful experience in my entire life !! We have a special set up for our van in which we sleep in and our tent connects to the rear for living room purposes . There were no instructions on how to park where to park or what to park on for tent/electric/water hook up site no one told us a Thing. We had just finished setting up camp about 5:30 pm pitched our tent prepped our site . Then this big fat Man on his golf cart said we had to park our van on the rock pad ( not really a rock pad more like grass growing up through rocks you couldn't really tell) so we parked sideways on the pad and set up camp again , welp that was wrong too they wanted us to face forward on the rock pad we tried to explain our set up and this man became angry did not want to listen was not going to give in any sort of way! He even said you people from CALIFORNIA are the worst( my husband is from Texas ) we were stunned at that assumption!!! He threatened to kick us out after we had already made a 2 day reservation ,he even threatened to get the owner, which we told him to get but never showed up... He was childish I think he was a little drunk could not stand up without weaving and was very belligerent for someone who is supposed to work with the public!! This is a very convenient location but the sites themselves are not good. Absolutely butted up against a cliff behind us so we have limited space with our dogs... and the site was horribly unleveled! With a little work... they could make this place bearable. Today it is only for the oversized rigs and they get the cement pads! Go on down the road would be my recommendation... read more

Very nice campground. Stayed in our motor home with plenty of room at our site for our car , chairs, etc. Our doggy enjoyed his shady spot in the grass and the doggy run too. Nice outdoor pool. The bathrooms and showers were wonderful, as was the laundry room. Very helpful staff, willing to help us with anything to get us settled. Only a few miles from Custer with a very nice grocery store for stocking up. We would stay here again. read more

Stayed for one night on our way to Devils Tower. The campground is pretty big and kept very clean. They have a lot of things to do if you're staying longer like a pool, playground, trampoline, and little bunnies that roam the park!The cabins were mediocre as there was spiders and webs on the bed frames. The bathrooms were kept tidy and the showers as well. Definitely one of my favorite koa's. read more
