We had one of their patio pull threw spots and it was awesome.

Beautiful place. Very welcoming and helpful. The lady at the desk gave us some wonderful advice on where to go for a wonderful scenic drive.

This was the third KOA we stayed at during our trip. (This one had the best showers in my opinion.) It is located a couple of miles from Custer city which makes it easily accessible for food and what not. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the cabins. They are so cute! It gets a little cold at night up here in the mountains, but luckily they provide you with a heater. The beds were comfortable, be aware you have to bring your own sheets. They offer a lot of fun activities for kids, which is a good and bad thing. (They were running around and shouting pretty late at night.) Great option for your travels, very affordable! Prices for cabins starting at about $70.

Thee Most Awful experience in my entire life !! We have a special set up for our van in which we sleep in and our tent connects to the rear for living room purposes . There were no instructions on how to park where to park or what to park on for tent/electric/water hook up site no one told us a Thing. We had just finished setting up camp about 5:30 pm pitched our tent prepped our site . Then this big fat Man on his golf cart said we had to park our van on the rock pad ( not really a rock pad more like grass growing up through rocks you couldn't really tell) so we parked sideways on the pad and set up camp again , welp that was wrong too they wanted us to face forward on the rock pad we tried to explain our set up and this man became angry did not want to listen was not going to give in any sort of way! He even said you people from CALIFORNIA are the worst( my husband is from Texas ) we were stunned at that assumption!!! He threatened to kick us out after we had already made a 2 day reservation ,he even threatened to get the owner, which we told him to get but never showed up... He was childish I think he was a little drunk could not stand up without weaving and was very belligerent for someone who is supposed to work with the public!! If you are from CALIFORNIA AVOID THIS PLACE!! NAZIS HAVE LANDED! CAMPING ON ROCKS SUCKS ASS !! .... STOCK PHOTO OF MY SET UP BUT MY VAN IS WAY BIGGER

This is our view from our camp site #44

Restrooms and roomy showers were clean. We had a 25' TT and site accommodated our tow vehicle. We had 2 sites a back in (3 nights) and pull thru (2 nights). Beautiful hiking trail behind campground. We had a fire ring and location is somewhat hilly so difficult for handicap to get around. All in all a great location and easy to find. Nice general store on site. Definitely have to get some homemade pie from the Purple Pie House, blueberry, apple and bumbleberry were delicious warmed ip with a scoop of Vanilla ice cream! The Claw Antler & Hide store had very unique and cool items bought antler whistles for the grandkids. Had the best buffalo burger at Black Hills Burger and Bun but go early its very popular! The size was great, the location was easy to find, GPS lead me straight there and there was plenty of signage to make sure I was going to the right spot. The cabin itself was very clean and well stocked with towels, blankets, and pillows. I found the bed very comfortable. We had an issue with the fire alarms, however it was resolved by the owners promptly. The cabin was like one cabin split in 2, so we had the front half and had some neighbors on the back half. It felt very separated though and we never even saw our neighbors. The price was cheap for what you get. They had tons of dishes ready to use and even had some gallons of water ready to go in the fridge. The WiFi was great, lost the tv signal for a bit while it was storming but that is expected. I was impressed and I'd rent this place again in the future if I'm ever in the area again!
