Talk about a hole in the wall place, which it absolutely is. I went to play pool and meet with friends. While I was there I had friendly staff and was recommended to eat the cheeseburger, which I did. Needless to say, it was absolutely amazing and out of this world. This place has been a tradition in my family since the 80's. And they never disappoint. Great service, great food, great location and the atmosphere just takes you back to a simpler time. Actually came out for a quick service call on behalf of my company, ended up staying for lunch. Good quick service, looks reminiscent of key west, food was very good...I got the blackened Mahi sandwich and tater tots. Everything is homemade including the honey mustard. Michelle is so friendly, informative with history and an exceptional hostess. Sports Bar, Pool Hall and Dart Alley are incredible. If I could put lower than one star, I would. I just left there after ordering a LIT and a vodka cran (both with well liquors) and was charged OVER TWENTY DOLLARS. Two drinks! I'm from New York City and I have never paid 15 dollars for a horrible quality Long Island. Not to mention it tasted like sour mix on the rocks with a splash of coke. Let's not even mention the service! The man (who looked like be belonged on Duck Dynasty) never introduced himself, poured our subpar drinks and went and sat down at a booth. Then a white girl with dreads came up to us to cash us out and didn't say anything about the crazy price of our low quality drinks. I used to recommend this place as a great late night spot, but NOT ANYMORE! It was 3:30 am on a rainy Friday morning, when I stepped through the door of the Blue Boar Tavern. The first thing I noticed was how busy the place was on a weekday night. This, I found out, was because of all the "in the biz" crowd that frequent this place regularly. I sat at the bar and chatted with the person next to me, as I waited for the bartender to notice me. I was served in a timely fashion - the drink was good and the pour was generous. The wings I ate were good and all the people around me spoke highly of the menu and kitchen staff. The only negative feedback I can mention is the smoke in the room. It was a little bit strong after a while, but nothing that a few minutes outside can't fix. Maybe invest in a smoke eater. For a late night place with good food and drinks, The Blue Boar hits the spot. Open till 5am with pool and darts as well. read more

Best "dive bar" in West Palm. The bartenders are great at what they do and very friendly. I enjoy people watching at this place, always amusing people going in there. Surprisingly, they have really good food and I always make sure to order something when I go there. Their prices are reasonable. Pool tables, darts, video games and game machines on the bar. Smoking inside is a plus for me and everyone always plays good music on their TouchTunes jukebox. They are open until 5am which makes this bar the perfect after party spot for when the bars/clubs close downtown but you're not ready to go home yet. Favorite place. read more

Visited the Boar twice while visiting family in West Palm Beach. The bartenders were hilarious and super friendly, the drinks were stiff and were at a bargain price. The atmosphere was your standard dive with lots of wood trim, pool tables, dart boards, shuffle board. The food is served almost all the way to last call and the wings and fries were awesome. On our second visit the bartenders remembered our names and treated us like family. read more

One of my favourite local bars, and apparently the oldest around. I see why, cool down home easy spot. Cheap drinks, good cold beer and a late late night bar menu. I have been going to the blue boar for years and it is one of my favorite bars in west Palm. From the staff to the food everthing is amazing. not to mention, all the things to do. To start this is the best dive bar food you will ever have. I recommend the aj's grilled cheese. Combined the aj's grilled cheese with any one of the soups and you're golden. Also, the burgers, the wings, the garbage fries the list gos on. Nevertheless the staff is by far my favorite part of going to blue boar. They have always made me feel welcome and apart of the blue boar family. It takes alot to get a beer koozie on the wall now and days but its one of those things that make you feel apart of the bar. If you want a cheers atmosphere this is the place. Not only that but if you play pool or darts there is by no means a lack of them. I don't know exactly how many pool tables and dart boards but I do know that they have pool and dart tournaments on certain days. All and all this is exactly what I look for in a bar so enjoy. read more
