    Instant Coffee

We stopped here for morning coffee and walked out in awe and buzzed. Blue Bottle Coffee is absolutely the best and we don't know how they do it. The coffee shop is minimally decorated but tastefully done with high quality materials. We also came out with a small jar of instant coffee to bring home. Until next shopping trip on Newberry Street, Boston.

Is it a $6 waffle? Yes Is it delicious? Heck yeah They make the waffle to order so it takes a little patience. The waffle is soft on the inside and crispy outside with a light dusting of sugar. You can people watch as you wait since it's in a busy part of Prudential.

Another tried and true classic. We love that we can rely on Blue Bottle's quality regardless of which location we go to. Excellent espresso, as always!!

Here at the Prudential Mall in Boston visiting family and just had the best coffee , got a mocha coffee for me and wifey ordered a Capuchino ... Excellent

We were walking through The Prudential Center and needed our coffee fix. We saw this place and decided to try it out. The prices were pretty high we noticed but decided to try it anyway. I had the iced cardamom latte which was already lightly sweetened; I tasted the cardamon but it's nothing to write home about. I didn't read reviews until after and wished I ordered the Nola coffee instead; oh well maybe next time. The service was fast and friendly though, despite there being a line. The decor was very simplistic, open, and clean looking with some seating.

Blue Bottle is in a very convenient spot in the Pru where multiple hallways converge, so it's easy to get to. They had a decent-sized line every time I went, but I ordered on the app and the drinks were ready quickly. They have a small amount of seating, but be prepared for it to be on the louder side since this location doesn't really have any walls separating it from the rest of the mall.

Lines for days after 11am I've noticed. 11.26.22.

In Boston's Copley Mall , (walkable if youre staying at the Marriott, Sheraton, Westin and the Mandarin O. ). BBC serves up the best American coffee in the area. It is packed here most of the hours they are open except for the first hour. Service is brisk, just like the Fall weather in Boston :) They are aware how busy people are so they get the line moving best they can. Blue Bottle and Eataly's Lavazza coffee ( tradizional Italian coffee) are the best in the city hands down and if you're in the area, you're in luck-- they are both in the Copley. End of Yelp.

    NOLA spice coffee

Strolling through the Pru, it was time for coffee. We stopped blue bottle and the menu items looked intriguing. They have a black cardamom latte which was surprising because that's a strong spice as compared to the green cardamom. But hey, maybe they make it well. The price however was stronger (read: steeper) than the spice. So we skipped it and chose a spiced NOLA style coffee in a 12 oz cup. It was delicious. Frothy and tasty and hot like we asked for it. Bonus for compostable cup and lid. Would stop by again!

Ice Nola is one of my new favorites. Has a little kick to it without being overpowering. I order the concentrate and ask them to fill with a little bit of water. Def a great kick and doesn't give you anxiety! Quick service and located right near the entry of the Pru.

A letdown. The location is so convenient - in the middle of Prudential mall, and there is typically indoor seating (closed due to COVID currently), but it's right next to the courtyard area where there are tables and benches to sit. I'm so disappointed because I heard great things about Blue Bottle Coffee, however I found their lattes to be so weak - as if I could only taste the milk. We also got the New Orleans coffee, which was okay, but it's hard to justify the price for just okay coffee. Overall, the coffee is not worth in my opinion (more pricey compared to other coffee shops nearby), but I'm giving it two stars because of the location and the baristas were friendly.

    Jesan A.

The lattes here are definitely made with care and are top quality. The staff are working 24/7 and the place is so busy at all times of the day. Highly recommend you try some of their specialties like the Nola or Cardamom latte.

Nola coffee hot was excellent. During a conference, I ordered one everyday. Nearly $6 it was a splurge but a welcome treat.

I went with two scoops, black raspberry and brownie chocolate, and the brownie was killer. Rich, chocolatey, and totally worth standing outside in 30 degree weather to eat it. I devoured it without hesitation. There were so many great flavor options, and my friends all found something they loved too. It felt like one of those classic, must-stop dessert spots. I said, "Yes please, I'd like M&Ms." The server, and another person working behind the counter, both told me that they just ran out of M&Ms. They didn't have any more. This was weird to me. As I was walking to the the shop, I passed a person who had a small cup of ice cream with both m&m's and oreo topping. Okay, I thought. That's weird but so be it. Then, I scootch over to look at the rest of the toppings and what do I see? M&Ms. I point out the M&M's to the employee and ask, "hey, aren't those M&M's?" They mumbled something back that I didn't exactly catch. They either said "those are closed" or "those are skittles" or "it's not those". "those are closed" makes no sense because they asked if I wanted toppings and it was 2 and a half hours before they closed. "those are skittles" makes no sense because they don't carry skittles as a topping... The whole experience was perplexing to me. Anyways, JP Licks is pretty overrated and too expensive. $6.5+ for the smallest size is not worth it. They have some decent flavors (cookies n' cake batter) though and the ice cream is usually pretty well executed and not icy. still, not really a place i'd recommend and won't be going back for a while after this freak incident. Attached photos are the proof that they had M&Ms. Note the "M" on the candy and the blue colored candies (they don't make blue skittles)

I do not go out for coffee much anymore due to the convenience and cost effectiveness of a Breville and am often frustrated paying over $5 for mediocre coffee, but flour cafe was not in this boat. Even better was the fact that these drinks were served by someone with a warm spirit and smile.. hard to get great service these days. We walked into a building with the kind of architectural character that chain bookstores cannot manufacture, with small rooms opening into each other across multiple floors, wallpapered walls, and reading nooks distributed throughout that invite you to slow down rather than move through quickly. The book selection is well curated with staff recommendation cards on the shelves that actually reflect genuine enthusiasm rather than perfunctory notes. We saw limited edition hardcovers and local and regional titles appearing alongside the broader fiction and nonfiction selection. Browsing felt productive rather than overwhelming because the curation kept things focused. The kids section upstairs is one of the more delightful in Boston, with a train running along a track near the ceiling that tends to make a strong impression on younger visitors. There is also an art print vending machine on the second floor that draws its own audience of visitors looking for something small and specific to take home. The cafe occupies the lower level and operates as a separate experience from the bookshop above. We ordered the oat milk cappuccino with Vermont maple syrup, which was worth it. The morning glory scone and the popovers are two other items to consider. The cafe is tiny, around eight tables inside with a small patio, and reservations are recommended for breakfast and afternoon tea service. Pricing at the cafe is on the higher end, and certain fixed price service formats on specific dates push it considerably further, so checking current pricing before booking is worth doing. For a bookshop that doubles as a destination in its own right, Beacon Hill Books and Cafe delivers a cozy, curated experience that rewards lingering. It is the kind of place we would return to just to sit and read with a good coffee.
