Raspberry Mango Sundae ($9.50) and butterfly flower tea refresher ($6)
    Rachel S.

I've had a positive experience at a different JP Licks store before, and since my friend and I were nearby, we decided to pop in for a quick treat on a warm summer day. There was a sign for a raspberry mango sundae ($9.50) with vanilla icecream that sounded delicious and not realizing the price, I decided to try it. The vanilla was so rich, and I loved all the flavors together, but for a single scoop to be almost $10, I would try something else. My friend got the butterfly tea refresher ($6) which was aesthetic, indeed refreshing, and very sweet. Overall we were satisfied with getting our sugar fix, but I'm going for their regular scoops rather than a sundae in the future.

Stopped by for dessert while walking back to our hotel. There was a short line and looked like only one girl was working because the line moved slowly. We ended up ordering a single scoop of the cookies n cream sundae. Ice cream was very rich and creamy but for the size of the scoop, I don't think it was worth the $10.xx we paid.

I thought the texture of the ice cream was alright not as creamy as I would like it. The black raspberry ice cream was pretty good, I like it a bit more tart though. There is a lot of seating inside with plenty of windows and the workers are really nice.

Quick easy and yummy. I got a scoop of the peach-here for the summer. Creamy. Most customers are in and out pretty quickly.

There's a reason why my J.P. Licks is my favorite place for ice cream in the country and why I stop in several times when I'm in the area. It's because they produce such mind-blowing combinations like peanut butter cookies & cream. It's such a simple idea done to perfection--kind of like the chain itself. I think the only was I'd stop going to J.P. is when I'm in grave. Even then I'd probably want to be buried with a pint (or two) from here.

Strong coconut ice cream base for the coconut almond chip, with coconut shreds evenly distributed throughout the ice cream. The chocolate chips were okay, but the almonds were very scant and sorta soft. Employees were very nice and efficient. Inside was pleasantly cold, with a nice blast of air conditioner in the hot summer weather.

Decided to go to JP Licks today to grab some smoothies. I like that their smoothies are yogurt based, very tasty. I got one raspberry & one strawberry smoothie. Both were delicious and loved how they made them today. Inside has plenty of seating and also a couple benches outside, if you prefer to sit outside ! Well air conditioned inside, which was great especially on really hot days like today. Great & fast service here also. Parking: There's a bunch of meter parking available on Charles St

Extremely creamy and delicious with good labels for dairy free options. They even had a gluten free cookie. Reviews said they had gluten free cones but were out of stock. I enjoyed the Madagascar Vanilla (Coconut) Dairy Free Ice Cream and Chocolate (coconut) Dairy Free Ice Cream

I have a super power... eating ice cream extremely slowly. I never wanted this experience to end. Mr. K and I talked about J.P. Licks all day and made dinner plans to leave room for dessert every night. The flavor options were just divine. We tasted a couple different flavors, but each found our perfect flavor and stuck to it: peanut butter cookie dough chip and salted caramel cookies n' cream. We also splurged on the chocolate dipped cone. Appreciate that they have dairy free, gluten free, and vegan options. Ending the night at this cute shop on Charles Street became our Boston ritual.

Usually wasn't busy. In north end and open late. Has some unique flavors. Would recommend.

Amazing service - so friendly to kids trying different flavors - and such flavorful ice cream. The dairy-free black raspberry was the first time I've had this flavor since I became lactose intolerant as an adult, and it took me back to my childhood like a scene from Ratatouille, true story.

I am an ice cream and I approve this location. Of course, I read the reviews and someone said it was a tourist spot. As a tourist, I opted to check it out and fell in love instantly. 30 minutes after consuming the ice cream I continuously declare that was some good ice cream. It was a nice vibe and great customer service. That was by far the most delicious ice cream I've had in a while. If you are in the area, check this delicious spot out. You will not be disappointed. And do yourself a favor and get a large!

First time here and I love how many choices of ice flavors there were and there were a lot of creative ones that I've never heard of so I decided to give them a try. Just a heads up they only allow two samples per customer so choose wisely. I had the fresh peach, rum raisin, and coffee cookies n cream. The fresh peach was delicious, although the flavor was a bit on the lighter side. The rum raisin and coffee cookies and cream lived up to my expectations and tasted exactly what it claims to taste. It really hit the spot especially on a super hot day out. There is a small indoor seating area to enjoy your ice cream before facing the angry weather outside.

I built my own with custard fish, twist ice cream, caramel sauce, and Oreo crumbs. Beautiful presentation and honestly delicious. The cone smelled and tasted so great. The custard is more of a cream but still good. Where I'm being picky: the cone could've been a little crispier and the toppings were pretty minimal. I couldn't taste or see any of the caramel sauce and the Oreo dust is so fine I think I inhaled more of it into my lungs than I actually ate. I wish it was actual mashed up pieces not fine dust. We will definitely be back though! I just won't get Oreo crumbs next time.

We got our ice cream and ate out in the courtyard area, seaport is such a nice place. I got a matcha soft-serve in a taiyaki cone with red bean, and my bf got a vanilla one. The ice cream and taiyaki fish tasted great, my only gripe was how incredibly messy it was to eat. There was such a large volume of ice cream in the cone itself that I wasn't able to eat fast enough and it started melting all over my hands and arms. Like it was crazy. I was eating this ice cream like an animal. It would be nice if they served this with a cup or something. So I just feel like if you're not someone who can inhale a giant ice cream this is not for you. I would just get a plain taiyaki fish treat with ice cream on the side.

I have yet to find any that are significantly better than ordinary Haagen Daz from a supermarket. In fact, most ice cream parlour ice creams aren't even as good, while costing orders of magnitude more than supermarket H-D! Toscanini's is close to equal to H-D in my book...and mainly for the fact that they offer some truly unusual and original flavors: we had the Mango Sticky Rice, Burnt Caramel, and Kulfi. My friend who enjoyed the first one the most, quickly tired of the second, and the third was my favorite by far, mainly because I love cardamom and saffron so much. I was somewhat conflicted with the Burnt Caramel...first taste was delightful, but halfway through the novelty faded away for the most part. We both appreciated that the ice cream was not hyper-sweet like JP Licks, though. HOWEVER, the extreme creaminess, density, and dry mouth-feel of H-D was just not there, as usual. I'd describe the texture of Toscanini's ice cream to be fairly ordinary, like a typical soft/smooth gelato texture. Not bad, but not anything I would really write home about. YMMV of course. Otherwise, service was good and the place is clean and pleasantly modern inside, with 3 nice new steel benches to sit at outside. The benches are curiously turned AWAY from the street, I suppose to foster more of a "communal" vibe and people-watching opportunities. I've walked by during peak hours and seen it quite full, so this place clearly is still quite popular. At $8.25 for 3 scoops (albeit fairly generous sized scoops) of oh, 8 out of 10 ice cream, I don't see myself ever becoming a regular here despite the undeniably interesting/unique flavors, unless I came mainly for the people-watching opps on a nice weather day.

It's probably because it's a block from the Freedom Trail near Paul Revere's house and popular Italian restaurants and shops. If you see people walking around with a white (multiple cannolis/desserts) or blue (single cannoli) box tied with string, you know you must be nearby a Mike's Pastry. Though the line gets long, it does move quickly, and there are periods where it's not so crowded inside. It's cash only at this location. I didn't think I'd be here that day and realized I didn't crab enough cash but saw the sign for Uber Eats and GrubHub pick up, so I just placed an order for pick up from my phone on Uber Eats. It took about 5 minutes when I got my cute blue box order. There is a Bank of America down the same street if you need to withdraw cash which I later did. I'm sure there's also ATMs nearby. I think it's easier and quicker to order through Uber Eats or GrubHub and pick up. I've been here once before about 12 years ago. I tried the pistachio cannoli that time and loved it. This time, I wanted to try a different flavor, so I got the hazelnut cannoli. It didn't have the nuts I was expecting from the photo on the wall. It didn't quite taste like hazelnut to me at all. I regretted not trying something else. I eventually did at Hub Hall (another food hall) connected to North Station. This location is a little more expensive by $1-2 for cannolis compared to the one in Hub Hall and sells other desserts like turnovers, donuts, croissants and sticks if you don't want a cannoli (but then why come here for anything else?) There's also nowhere to sit.
