Cinnamon bun and half a scone.
    David T.

The bottom line: 4.5 stars for good coffee, quick service, and killer pastries (especially when warm). The cinnamon bun was soft, supple, and had just the right amount of cinnamon and glaze. Warmed, it was oh so tasty paired with the black house drip coffee. (Bit of a coffee snob and whatever beans they had were in point and well brewed.) The ham & cheese croissant had a delightful amount of crackle and sharp cheese flavor. The breakfast sandwich was good, with a pillowy brioche bun, but a bit too much dressing and the egg and other contents could use a flavor punch. Industrial chic atmosphere that seems to work and definitely would be back fire the chance.

Food: WOW. Best salad I have ever had. Everything was so fresh and flavorful! Service: Food was fast, despite being a busy Sunday afternoon. Ambiance: 2 floors of seating, it's nice and warm inside with natural lighting. So happy I stopped by while in the area.

Perfect location on Cambridge Street, busy In the morning. I waited in line for about 10 minutes, And the line moves slowly. Amazing selection of pastries And hot food. I got the breakfast cookie, which includes oats, nuts, fried fruits. Went for the healthy option, And frankly it was delicious! Highly recommend for a fiber-rich meal to start your morning. I also got a vanilla latte, And I could not taste the vanilla. It was okay. If you're looking for privacy, walk up the stairs and check out the extra seating, highly recommend Bar stools near the window, nice way to see the views And enjoy your breakfast with your friends.

    Chocolate cream pie

The chocolate cream pie is very rich but not at all too sweet. I would recommend for those who like desserts that have depth and a darker/richer flavor. A bit more pricey than other options, but the quality of the chocolate tastes good. Tasting the crust on its own reveals it has a pleasant, mild flavor. Some bites of the crust had a sort of nutty flavor almost. The cream on top was a good balance to the richer flavor of the chocolate, although the richness is still very strong (almost to the point of being overpowering, but not quite). Also not sure but maybe they use some coffee to deepen the chocolate flavor?

I stopped in here for breakfast and to work for an hour. They were very busy on a Thursday morning. Excellent chai and pastries, and I used the wifi to get some work done while sitting at the window, people-watching.

    Spinach quiche

Wow. The pastries and quiche were amazing! I cannot wait to come back and try more when I visit again. I tried the sticky bun, brown sugar cinnamon roll, and vegan chocolate chip cherry muffin. Every bite was delicious especially with sips of hot coffee in between. I also had the spinach cheese quiche, which took a bit long to make but it was worth it- so yummy! They are pretty busy inside and I can see why. There are a few seats downstairs and upstairs. I enjoyed the view of the outside while sitting upstairs.

There is a reason why there is always a line at Flour. I think this might've been the best egg sandwich I've ever had. These fine folks know how to make a sandwich whether it's for breakfast or lunch. Super fresh ingredients with just the right portions and seasonings. They do have an app so that you can order ahead - which I recommend. You can choose the line to place an order with an actual human being or there are digital kiosks for ordering. Seating is limited, but there is space upstairs with additional tables available.

There's a reason Flour Bakery is always busy & has a line every time... the food is just that good, when it is good. I remember the first time I tried Flour, a couple years now, at their Back Bay location and was impressed by their sandwiches. Nowadays, I will grab a bite from Flour every now and then but it is hit or miss. I usually get the smoked turkey sandwich, avocado toast, or achiote chicken sandwich. Depends on the day and how I'm feeling. I suggest if you plan to grab and go, definitely order through the app first to pick up. If you order in person, it could easily take 30ish minutes for take out (not dine in) order. Having gone to a couple Flour locations in the past, the wait is the worst part. All locations average the 30 min wait.

    Sticky bun

Really good eats here! The broccoli cheddar soup was pretty salty but very flavorful and Hearty. The sticky bun was great- fluffy soft bread and plenty of pecans. Also very much enjoyed trying the half sizes of the mushroom melt sandwich, the Butternut Squash sandwich, and the achiote chicken sandwich. The raspberry oat bar was nice too, and the carrot cake was very moist and with a lot of cream cheese frosting that wasn't overly sweet. There are seating areas downstairs and upstairs which include bar seats and benches and regular chairs, as well as an elevator to the second floor. The staff were very professional and friendly and we saw them help visually impared customers with great courtesy. The only thing I would skip is the chai latte- it tasted pretty bland.

    Applewood-Smoked Bacon Sandwich ($13.75)
    David L.

Conveniently located near the entrance to Mass General Hospital, we stopped in for a late breakfast before an appointment. While the displayed sweet treats and breakfast pastries looked tempting, we opted for the savory Applewood-smoked bacon sandwich. Basically a spin on a BLT, with peppery arugula as a substitute for traditional lettuce. You order at the counter, take a number, and a staff member brings you your food once it's ready. We didn't wait long, and certainly enjoyed Flour's version of a classic BLT sandwich ($13.75).

Is this the best Boston Cream Pie? I couldn't tell you, this is the only one tried. It was my first stop and I was so satisfied I didn't bother going anywhere else! Every item on the dessert rack looked like I'd been lovingly baked from scratch. It's a wonder I didn't order everything. The Boston Cream Pie was decadent on top but light underneath. It was worth the drive up from NJ for sure! Although I came for one pie, I actually fell in love with another: the coconut cream. It was a little thicker and creamier than I was expecting, but it was perfect. The toasted coconuts on top were the best balance to the creaminess, and the CRUST, omg was so flaky and buttery I couldn't believe what was going on in my mouth. We also grabbed a slice of veggie pizza, and ended up loving that too. It's baked to perfection, with the veggies on top getting a slight crisp. Full of great flavor too! The cafe is huge! Bar seating and table seating galore. Its wide open and well lit, so no bumping into people at all while you're browsing the baked goods. This is an essential Boston stop in my book!

There is a wide variety all with great offerings, and a few snack and drink places and a bar. It is a very nice and huge facility, so stylish. The ambiance is great. There was a bird in the rafters which was kind of funny. Unfortunately there is a not a clear online menu that is up to date with all the restaurants and their individual menus on the main Time Out Market website. You have to go into each restaurant and look at their online ordering POS to get to the menu. It was hard to decide what to eat because I could not look at all the options all at once, i had to walk around and look at the individual restaurant menus one at a time. I ended up choosing the Italian food place POE-lenta. I had a very tasty Creamy Chicken Rigatoni. It came with spicy crushed red pepper and grilled lemon as well. It was a good choice and was enjoyable. I did not finish all the chicken but it was pretty good. I also ordered a very yummy mocktail from the bar. I got a Coco Pom, which the bartender described as kind of a pina colada without the rum and with a pomegranate twist. It was really good, I drank it all. They also have convenient cups and a water tap to fill your water by the the two bars. The restroom was huge and very nice, but the stalls are so dark inside, the lighting was so dim I could not really see anything. I think the building should really work on those light levels. There was some appearance of construction ongoing in the hallway to the restrooms. Time Out is a great place to stop and spend some time, with great food, drinks, and atmosphere. It looked like there was also a stage and large projection screen for events.
