Omg, what have you DONE? I just came back to the city and I knew that the old place on Berry was closing, knew you were moving, but woah. Blond wood panelling. Did it have to be so white? Whoever made that choice of the weird light wood and putting it in such a sterile, curved environment, but without any energy, must not have understood the original Blue Bottle, the flagship store, with the authentic Williamsburg vibe of Berry Street, with it's bricks and long tables, before the money ball rolled into town. I loved sitting on the long bench out front, next to the main doors and open floor to ceiling windows, and having the sun warm my face while I people watched and said hello to the dogs. Not at the new place. The bench is off to the side, away from people. I don't know if there were any dogs at all. I didn't stay because it was in shadows, no sun. The person behind the counter talked and moved like a zombie. Nice greeting, given with a smile, right on cue as I approached the counter, but something was off, something wrong, I could not understand until I looked around. Zombies, all of them Zombies. Computers open, the patrons were lifting their coffee cups to their lips in bland, specific movements. Just like the bland wood panelling. So very scary. I paid $8 for a cup of coffee (including a $2 tip) and got a cup that was a little over half full. When I asked the barista for more coffee she said "thats how we pour it." Space feels sterile. I'll pass. read more

I have been meaning to try this place out for the longest time! Very simple menu and great aesthetics! I didn't know what I wanted so I settled with a mocha coffee and I honestly found it to be the best one I've had yet. Super creamy and rich. This is such a great place to work that I'm actually hesitant to write this review because I don't want more people to find out about it. The place is super spacious and full of natural light, and the coffee and pastries are delicious! Great coffee but they DON'T HAVE WIFI?!?! It's 2018, what cafe doesn't have wifi?? Especially in Williamsburg??? Even the dirtiest dive bars in this area have WiFi..... It's very confusing because they just upgraded into a bigger space with a ton more seating. It looks like the perfect place for people to work on laptops??? Also the don't have any cane sugar alternatives (stevia, spenta, etc...) which is a big cold shoulder to people who can't have cane sugar..... But still great coffee...... read more

I can't say enough good things about Blue Bottle Coffee! This location is super interesting as it has a large floor plan, but not that much seating. I typically only drink my coffee black but whenever I go to Blue Bottle in the hotter months, I always get the New Orleans Iced Coffee. It is super good and is the perfect amount of sweetness! They are a little bit more expensive than some other coffee shops but you get what you pay for as they have some seriously good joe! Go for the NOLA cold brew, go for a midday pick-me-up, whatever you do, just go! read more

Only getting 2 stars cause the menu items are great.....the service is what I hate the most. I only come here cause it's basically next to my job. All 3 times I've come they always, always miss my drink & cause me to either be late from break or to work. I mean I mean you get tickets for each order, why do you guys not want to make my drink? With so many other coffee spots in the neighborhood (some literally a couple blocks away) I personally think this one is a hard pass. While it's a large space, its pretty uncomfortable seating wise and almost clinically bright like inside a hospital. They also have no wifi, an annoying trend in NYC coffee shops and I get it, you don't want people staying for hours on end- the name of the game is to move as many customers in and out as fast as possible. But as someone who goes to coffee shops to primarily work on the computer, not a fan. They also do not offer any real sort of coffee alternatives (chai for example) another way to shrink the pool of potential customers. Pastries and other treats are highly overpriced, even for Williamsburg. So yeah, if you just are grabbing a coffee to go it's an ok option, but for me I'll avoid. read more

This place was very cool. It's a little bit sterile looking but I think it was by design. It wanted to give a science feel to it and they succeeded. The place looked bare (by design) but the staff was very friendly and helpful. I like the fact that they had chairs and tables but also a little area for people to stand and just chat. This was an excellent use of the open space concept. read more

Really cute coffee shop to get work done. I didn't see any outlets during my stay but the cream cheese everything on it scone is awesome. I would def come for breakfast or a light lunch and meet anyone from a work meeting to a study date here. The music can be kind of loud if noise bothers you but it's light airy and minimal and great for a nice day out. read more

There is a barista here (I actually think he may be the manager) who is, without a doubt, the most rude person in the industry. Lazy, entitled, and just generally unhappy. I have a good experience whenever he isn't there but otherwise, it's best to turn and walk out. read more
