    Our brand new RV after 2 months

    1 Star - Absolutely the Worst RV Buying Experience Blue Compass RV has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. We purchased a brand-new Grand Design RV in September 2024, and from the very first trip, we began experiencing serious issues. Within one week, the entire battery died, leaving the RV unusible. When we brought it in for service, we discovered multiple additional problems: trim pieces falling off, cabinets peeling, handles breaking (including the sewage door), and the interior panels buckling. We are now approaching March 2026, and these warranty issues are still not fully resolved. Our RV -- which was only six months old -- has spent approximately 4 1/2 of those months either in the shop or sitting unrepaired while we've waited for action. We have only been able to use it twice, and even then, the interior was literally coming apart. I have personally spent over 100 hours contacting Blue Compass and Grand Design trying to get this resolved. To Grand Design's credit, they have been attempting to push Blue Compass to communicate and order the necessary parts. Unfortunately, the service department at Blue Compass has been unresponsive, disorganized, and incredibly frustrating to work with. This has been a stressful, exhausting, and disappointing experience from start to finish. Buying a brand-new RV should be exciting -- not a full-time battle to get basic warranty repairs handled. If this review helps even one person avoid what we've gone through, it's worth writing. I would not wish this experience -- or the level of incompetence we've encountered -- on anyone.

    I wanted to give a big thank you to Lily, Seth, and Charles for their incredible help with our first RV/travel trailer purchase! Seth was so easy to talk to and really worked hard to get us the best monthly payment. Lily was incredibly kind and gave us so much information she is a true asset to the company. Charles is so experienced. I really appreciated the time he spent showing me the RV during the demo. They're top-notch customer service! I'll definitely recommend them!

    The new management is terrible. Less items are covered. Got Rv back damaged and no brakes. Maybe just the service advisor can't do his job. But also the maintenance was not done cleanly or correctly. Found boot marks along the side where the ladder is. End cap broken off. They didn't mention it and they were supposed to have inspected everything.

    nothing but lies from sales to service. i have been there 4 times and the problem still exist.

We took it on a cross country trip…read moreand discovered this brand new RV had a broken generator, a broken bunk system, the outdoor fridge was broken, 7 other minor things reported, and there was a demon in the furnace that when we turned it on, would stay on until everyone in the RV perished from heat exhaustion. We took it back to get all of these things repaired on our brand new RV. Not once, not twice, three times. Every single time they kept our RV for months then returned it with nothing fixed. I can not tell you the frustration of being in the middle of no where in the middle of the night to find out your furnace is broken for the fourth time, and then have to endure sitting in 95 degree temps in the middle of the winter all night long- for the FOURTH time. We tried to take it back a forth time and despite it being under warranty the first three times we reported these issues, they claim it's no longer under warranty and we must pay them to take it back and attempt to fix it for the forth time. We will not be purchasing from this RV center again and do not recommend purchasing through them, or using their service center. **Edited for response update** Nevada Lemon Law Nevada's Lemon Law (NRS Chapter 597) covers you if: The defect was reported during the warranty period The dealer made 3 or more repair attempts for the same issue without fixing it, OR The vehicle was out of service for 30+ cumulative days for repairs We experienced all three qualifications. We should have just returned this thing, we only asked they fix the issues we reported multiple times, and they are still fighting with us on this. You all have your answers here. Just called today to set up our trip and how lucky for me they "updated" there system and any old reservation from 2023 and back are no longer in the system. The trip started fine until we reached the RV park at 12am. No water hoses, sewage lines or TV cable for full hook ups, NOTHING. Next the slide pop out had trouble opening. Next the fridge stopped working and a strong smell of ammonia was coming from it, next the CO2 alarm started going off and never shut off. The alarm was so loud (and rightfully) so the RV park made us leave. We then had to rent a hotel for the duration of our trip. The 1800 roadside service number I called had me on hold for over a hour with finally no one to service us. This all sounds like the worst experience right? Yes, but I was told my account would be noted and a redo trip was appropriate. I didn't want my money back. I wanted exactly what they said they would do. Family trips are not easy and not something we can do every year, but 21 months later and a baby later we decided to have another go at RV'ing. I've rented before from Road Bear and every time we had a issue they solved it, but now with "The new system" I'm screwed? So when you rent from them babysit and double check their work, make sure everything is working and all equipment is ready and if you have any issues just know they will fight you now tooth and nail on their screw up thanks to the "new system". I was told by someone I was clearly bothering that an upper management person would reach out to tell me in a higher paid voice I'm SOL.
