Our salesperson was great, but service department (Derek specifically) cost them a sale on a new fifth wheel. We hadn't even finished the purchase and taken delivery and service was already screwing us around. No return phone calls, bs answers about ordering a part so we could take delivery of the trailer. We called to speak with the sales manager and we were hassled by the front desk saying we needed to talk to service. If we don't even own the unit yet, we're going to deal with sales. Again no return phone calls. If that's how they're going to treat us before we even buy the unit, imagine how bad it'll be after the fact. Steer clear. read more

This place is not your friend. I bought a new trailer because I wanted to have the warranty. That means for a year I was FORCED to go to this inept and dishonest dealer for repairs. Short list... They damaged my trailer and tried to halfass the repair without telling me. When I called them on it, they agreed to fix it. Been 2 months and still not fixed even though they had me bring it in and they left it on lot for a month. They damaged my freezer door changing a broken speaker and lied to manufacturer saying it was damaged when I bought it. Then didn't put freezer shelf back in. I still do not have a replacement shelf a year later. They scratched front of rock guard removing battery and tried to lie about it accusing me of causing damage. This was the first month I owned it. They finally admitted they damaged it. A year later, still not fixed. When AC broke they told me nothing was wrong and tried to brush off the repair. 3 days later they called and said they would replace the AC. On one occasion they took my trailer in for a repair. For over 2 months I repeatedly called and left messages trying to get a status. I NEVER received a call back. (THEY NEVER RETURN A CALL...EVER!) I finally called Grand Design to complain. I was told my trailer had been repaired 2 months prior. I went into Blue Dog to get my trailer. They lied and said they had called several times. This was another blatant lie! I missed a whole hunting season. Overall, the first year I owned my trailer IT SPENT NEARLY 5 OUT OF 12 MONTHS AT BLUE DOG RV! No, this was not due to supply issues. Each time I dropped it off was after I would have to stop by dealership in person to ascertain if parts were in because THEY NEVER CALL YOU BACK!. It was their mismanagement and lack of any customer service. I have never dealt with a more incompetent and mismanaged dealership in my life! Buy used or choose ANY OTHER dealership to get an RV. BTW I love my Grand Design trailer! Yes, it's had a couple minor repairs needed, but Blue Dog RV has made the experience a nightmare. I am now in the market for an RV! I wouldn't buy it from Blue Dog if they gave it to me for free! read more

BLUE COMPASS RV. LAS VEGAS, NV Never ever do business with them. They misrepresent their products, lie to you and could care less about you once you leave. THEY HAVE ABSOLUTLY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. They promised us a reimbursement check for $175 23rd October. We were told it would take 10 days to process. WE have been complaining dilligently " wheres our check?" Its now January 22nd, still no check. We had warranty work needed upon inspection...NOTHING has been done, ordered or rectified. But they closed our file. So we have to start over again. TheY do not answer their phones, we leave several messages with no return calls ever. We told our salesman that a DEAL BREAKER would be that this rig would have enough solar to power certain items, like a coffee pot. we financed the Rv on Oct 19th, took delivery of it the 22nd of October. When we did the walk thru, we inquired about the solar capabilities.... to our amazement. It would not do as the salesman said it would. It was too late to walk away because it was financed already for several days. They offered us a 12 volt coffee pot that cost roughly 40 bucks. But there is no 12 volt outlets. We dry camp at certain venues and thus why it was an important deal breaker. As crazy as it sounds. The sales manager told the salesman to appologise. And he did telling us that he was sorry, he was not familiar with the product line. That was all. The very next day we left the RV to get groceries. When we came back ( not even 24 hours of getting the rv) we find that the deadbolt broke in the locked position. We called the dealer and they were no help. They told us to use the warranty company roadside assistance. So we called them. They refused us service because they needed our contract #. It was locked inside. So we call dealer and ask for the contract # several times, and was told the guy that had it was in a meeting with customers and not to be disturbed. We asked for him to call back ASAP but he never called. 6 hours being locked out. We called a lock smith to drill the lock. We lost our cold items that we just bought, and we went back the next day to get a new lock assembly. We had to install it ourselves ot wait 2 weeks....we are not waiting 2 weeks to lock our door. They promised that we would be reimbursed $175 for the locksmith. The GM said it would take 10 days....she dropped the ball We started to complain and we were Told " its in the mail" ...... still no satisfaction. And we were told they would pay for labor on the install of the solar we require. Yeah that did not happen either. THEY CANT SUE ME FOR SLANDER BECAUSE ITS TRUE AND THEY KNOW IT. THEY ARE HORRIBLE. We took our trailer in for work to Blue Dog RV, Las Vegas. It had a broken axle and no way to mo e it. They kept it for 10 months, until they finally hired a service manager. We just got it back and we are missing a nice storage bench which we stored our instant pot and coffee maker in. I contacted the new service manager numerous time and i finally receieved a response. So the final from Blue Dog on the missing items from our trailer is, "There was only one tech working on your unit and he is very trustworthy and I have nothing to substantiate your claim. Also, we require people to remove any valuables." The service manager wasn't hired yet when it was dropped off and they staff didnt mention anything. They had three managers from the time I dropped my RV off to the time it was ready for pickup. I was told that my RV had been ready since Jan. even though I called bi-weekly to check on it. It was March when I learned about that info. The amount of times I was told I will call you by the end of today and still never received a call. We were made to feel horrible for dropping off without an appointment, but our RV was almost inoperable and we advised the team that we were happy to schedule an appointment for another day so we could wait our time in the queue. We simply didn't want to incur the charge of towing. This place almost never answered our call unless we called sales. And, not to anyones surprise, corporate was just as bad. Run away! read more

Only focused on sales. Ive tried to make an appointment for service for a recall on my RVs propane regulator. Nobody returned my inquiry about an appointment for my RV. Next, i called and scheduled with a real person and they scheduled my appointment for June 1st 2022 at 8 am. On June 1st drove to bluedog RV and arrived at 8 am. Geana did not know her product at all. Came there to look at a trailer for a friend who was in California with cash in hand ready to pull the trigger. I got there and found the trailer and started looking. Just a heads up They don't do the post delivery repairs until you purchase it. So the trailer had marks where someone attempted to Bend the metal under the compartment locks open, as well as some tractor supply metal brackets with wood screws holding the awning arm on... The roof of the RV looked like they let a 12 year re seal it. Not to mention the over all tone and attitude was welcoming. Taking business else where. Kinda hard to sign and buy a trailer they say " they will fix after you buy" for 20k and hope it looks good after it's too late to get out of it. read more

This place is an absolute nightmare. They continued to give me multiple excuses why repairs couldn't be made and never responded to phone calls messages and even after meeting with the general manager of the facility who promised the repairs would be made and we would be responded to, they never completed any work and I now have to go to corporate to try to get a resolution and get my money back. We started looking for an RV in December 2022. We finally purchased one from blue dog RV at the end of February. Once it was delivered, we had problems almost immediately. I understand that these are handbuilt and there's different problems that need to be addressed with almost all of them, but getting blue dog RV to do the warranty work has been nothing but a headache. It started as soon as we got home and tried to leveling jacks, one of the leveling jacks blew out, two months later finally got the leveling jack and got it repaired. A couple of days later noticed that they didn't tighten the hoses completely, and we had hydraulic fluid all over the pavement. There were also some other issues at the time, some of which were easy to address, but one of them, instead of shimming out the sliding door the way it should've been, they just cut part of the trim away, and that still has not been repaired. The slide part of the RV does not seem to retract at the bottom completely, after they replaced the motor; it still looks the same. The RV sat for part of the summer when we finally went to use it again. The solar system is not charging, there's bubbling in the back part of the RV on the outdoor siding, the leveling jacks still don't work on automatic, and there seems to be a heater issue. So we took it back to blue dog RV after waiting for an appointment for almost a month and a half to have the RV sit at the dealership with nobody looking at it for three weeks. During all of this time, when you call, they don't answer the phone, you leave a voicemail they do not return your voicemails, you email them they do not return your emails. When you go down, they take your name and number and do not call you with an update like they tell you that they were going to. You have to go down there and talk to somebody physically. The last time I was down there, the service advisor informed me that if I was so unhappy with how they did things, why do I keep bringing it back to them? I stated well, and I bought the RV here. I thought this was where I had to get the warranty work done; he informed me that I could go elsewhere. To me, this place is so incompetent about staying in contact with their customers, doing the work I cannot see how anybody would actually bring their RV or trailer to have any work done. read more

Absolute worst experience with warranty work on our Grand Design trailer we bought here. The sales team was amazing, but that is as far as it goes for customer service. We had a tear in our floor caused by a screw that came loose and got caught under the slide. The manufacturer approved it under warranty, as well as an approved repair of a leaky gas valve. Blue Dog service department refused to refund what we paid for the valve even though we had an approval and reference number from the manufacturer. Our floor was patched and began lifting and peeling up within days of pick up. We took it out to be re-done. The service manager agreed it was a bad repair job and we left our trailer in service again, only to pick it up with another bad patch job. Heather, in the service department is apathetic to the poor quality of work. She does not return calls, nor does the service manager. In fact, she says she never received emails with pictures of the poor repair even though I can confirm they were sent to her email address. We had asked for an estimate on fixing a warped backsplash upon return the second time for a redo of the poor repair work and were forced to pay for the backsplash even though no one called us with an estimate. Both Heather and Derek pass the buck and try to blame the other for no calls back and mistakes made. We are taking this to the trailer manufacturer because this dealership's service department truly could not care less about quality control or customer service. We will never give our business to Blue Dog RV Vegas and regret doing so to begin with. Great place to buy a trailer, but stay far away from the service department. read more

After the deposit everyone just kind of ghosted us the first financing officer that we spoke to was rude and treaters like we did it matter I tried to go through our salesperson to get somebody different and he didn't respond when we did the walkthrough I found a few things and they pressured you to sign the paperwork saying it was everything was good he showed us how to check our freshwater gray water and black tank and I asked why the black tank was 2/3 away full the fresh water was halfway full and the gray water was halfway full he said that they would drain all three tanks because the water that was in it was not clean the second finance officer we spoke to what's good until I told him I was not satisfied with the service that I got from Blue dog RV then he started to just defend and saying that's just how we do it. Worst service experience ever! I wish I could give them 0 stars! We bought a brand new Solitude 5th wheel at Blue Dog in Las Vegas just before the pandemic began. We made the mistake of thinking that they would honor the warranty. We have had our RV in for refrigerator recalls and repairs supposedly covered by their extra bogus warranty that we paid for. So in March 2021 and 2022 we paid our $100 extra for Blue Dog to "check everything" and make sure it was working, and to do the recalls on the fridge. The recalls were not done because they didn't have the parts either year! We made our appointment months in advance and requested the recall parts be ready for repairs. They assured us that would not be a problem. I guess not having the parts is not a problem to them! Two years later the recalls were still not completed by Blue Dog. They kept our RV for 3 nights this year, but still couldn't get the recalls done. There is a huge problem with their service department. They do not do what they tell you they are going to do. But they are quick to take your money. Go anywhere but Blue Dog if you want service on your RV! By the way, their poor service has nothing to do with not being able to get the parts because of the pandemic. We finally took our fifth wheel to a different dealership in Colorado for the recall repairs. It was done quickly and efficiently in 1 day for free! read more

Almost perfect! Sales - Austin Roberts is GREAT! He gave me his personal cell number through our buying process and we texted often when I had a questions. He was always super responsive and if he didn't know the answer he'd get it! We agreed on a price, put our deposit down and waited for our factory ordered R-Pod. This was July 2020. The camper arrived the week of September 7th and we received a call to setup our walk through. Walk through - I do admit, I had done a fair amount of research on the specific model R-Pod I purchased, and it wasn't my first time owning a camper. That said, had it been my first time ever owning a camper - I would have been completely lost and even more lost after the walk through. The entire process felt rushed, and really, kind of half-assed. Some of the optioned items in our camper that we paid extra for - the staff member doing our walk through had no idea that it was there and he didn't say have the knowledge on those extra paid for items. The inverter for instance, he didn't know why we had that button in the camper. Another example, the solar control panel - he wasn't confident on what each button did and suggested we read up on it. Again, I did a ton of research on the model I bought (YouTube is super helpful) so overall I'm satisfied and more of a do-it yourselfer anyways. But I think the walkthrough staff needs to slow down, ask questions to the new owner, making sure they are understanding the importance of the knowledge they are taking in. The staff doing walk throughs also should read up on each model they are doing a walk for and make sure they read the order sheet for options to make sure they have the knowledge needed to teach the new owner about it. A suggestion for new owners, record your walkthrough, that way you can go back and reference things. During our walk through we noticed a rip in the awning. That was really the only issue we found. Still waiting for the dealer to address this, but for now, we are very happy! read more

I had the BEST experience when PURCHASING our new trailer, but the customer service AFTER the fact SUCKS! First of all, clearly there is NO inspection of the trailers PRIOR to selling them. Our trailer had so many aesthetical things wrong; ie, back splash was bubbling and looked so sloppy, bathroom door not sitting flush in the frame, one of the cabinets was warped, the floor has so many gouges in it that they're going to have to replace the entire floor...AND THIS IS HOW THEY WERE PREPARED TO SELL IT TO US!!!!! Anyway, took it in this past Tuesday for them to install rear and side cameras, and upgrade the internet system. I was told it would take a "couple" days. I gave them TWO EXTRA DAYS, and finally called today to check on it. The person with whom I spoke couldn't have been NASTIER! I'm not going to go into detail about what was said by whom, but if I could return this trailer, I would. I spoke to the service manager and he was apologetic. Another associate, Jonathan, reached out to me to update me and give us internet options (which weren't given to me when I dropped it off). This review doesn't reflect his service, he has been wonderful and helpful from the beginning. Don't buy your rv here, especially if you need service on it. I am very disappointed at the sloppy condition of our trailer, and the customer service AFTER our purchase. read more

A lot changes when you lose good people. Seems that Tim and Denise are no longer with Blue Dog Las Vegas - they were the superstars of the service department. I brought the unit in to Blue Dog RV for warranty work, One of the slide outs is not extending fully and one of the rims has a crack in it. I also decided to purchase the 45 point inspection. I thought this was a good idea as the factory warranty ends in spring 2019 and maybe they would spot something. Dee (new to the service department) seemed nice on check-in. She called me the next day and said they had already completed the inspection and found that it needed new brakes.....odd being it's a 2017, but ok, I don't know anything about brakes. She said it would be $110 per hub. Seemed pricey to me, but reasonable, so I agreed to have the work done. Two days later, I get a voice message that she forgot to quote me labor on the brakes. I was traveling for work and couldn't call her back, but thought that I would shop around for a better price as she didn't even say how much they would be with labor. The next day, another voicemail from Dee. Everything is done and it's ready to be picked up. Ummmm.....who told them to do the brakes?! I called the following day. She didn't know what to say when I told her I did not authorize the brakes after she called to say she forgot the labor. She put me on hold for a good 10 minutes to get her manager. She comes back on the phone and said, well, we will put your old brakes back on.....Ummmm, ok. Wouldn't you think that the manager might want to speak with me? Hmmm, guess not. Then she says none of the warranty work is done as they are waiting for authorizations. I asked her why then I would pick it up, one of the rims is cracked, would it be safe to move? She's says, yes completely safe and that they don't have any room. I asked if she was willing to be responsible if something happened due to the cracked room when I moved it.....she said "no comment" and went on to explain that it's a New Policy to have customers pick up their RV's while they wait for authorizations. She the proceeded to tell me that if I don't pick it up, they will charge me storage fees. I told her that I would be there tomorrow to get it - when will it be ready, I asked. She stumbled and said by 3pm. What a terrible experience. I have been taking my RV here for service for nearly 2yrs and have never had an issue. After this warranty work is complete, I'll never be going to Blue Dog RV for service or to purchase a new camper and recommend that you stay away. It's not worth the headaches. read more

We purchased a new 2021 Grand Design travel trailer in March 2021. We bought from a nationwide dealer (Blue Dog RV) thinking they would be more responsive and if we needed help while traveling we could find one of their locations. In December 2021 we had guests stay in the trailer at our home. They told us the bathroom floor was wet, coming from the toilet, and in addition, we could see water leaking out from under the trailer. We called for an appointment for our annual warranty inspection, and told them about the water issues, as well as other issues we were having such as the refrigerator would not switch over to propane when it was unplugged from electric city. took a month to get an appointment. They said the toilet was bad but they had to get authorization from the mfg to replace it and we would need to bring it back. They claimed they fixed the issue with the refrigerator. They did not. They never even looked at the leak under the trailer. They had it for nearly two weeks between the two times it was there. In the meantime we took it to visit family for 3 days. On that trip, our batteries would not charge sufficiently to keep our lights working, (this in spite of having solar panels) and our heater quit (it was 16 degrees). We went out and bought new batteries even though ours were only a year old. One of our relatives who owns trailers suggested perhaps the power converter was bad. We took it back to address these issues and get the toilet replaced. They swore everything was fixed and that the power converter was fine. We left for a road trip and we're on the road three days. In Gallup NM the first night our heater quit working. It was 24 degrees. The heater had finally come back on so we thought it would be ok. We headed to Amarillo for the second night. We were in an RV park with power both nights. It was 13 degrees in Amarillo with a :30 mph wind.... And the heater quit again We had to sleep with our clothes on and under all the blankets we had. It was not just uncomfortable, it was dangerous. We got to East Texas (Travel Time RV in Sulphur Sorings, Texas) and a friend recommended an RV dealer there. They were so kind, and worked us in. They tested the power converter and said it was in fact bad. They replaced it with a larger, more powerful one we had already purchased. but didn't install because they swore it was fine. They said the heater was working, but, the converter was not creating enough power for the blower to come on. They fixed the refrigerator issue so the propane line didn't get crimped and it would switch over to propane. They found the leak underneath and replaced a seal., which stopped the drip. ALL THIS AND THEY ONLY CHARGED US $467!!! So nice, so responsive and they actually tried to find the problem, rather than just rushing us in/out. I will NEVER go back to Blue Dog RV other than for our required annual warranty inspection. Very, very negative experience. read more

Purchased a travel trailer in September2023. I found a few things that needed attention and was told it would be covered by the warranty. When I purchased the travel trailer I was assured that their service department was the best and handles work quickly. I took the travel trailer in for the warranty work in early December 2023. It is now February 2024 and I am still waiting. They tell me they are waiting for the parts to come in. Before it was waiting for warranty approval. The service guy says he doesn't know what to say. He says he tried to get the last two remaining parts I but he doesn't know what is going on. I called the GM in January and got no call back. When I call I'm told he is out of the office and leave a message. I called again today, February 15, 2024 and got the same answer. This place is terrible. If it wasn't for the service plan and warranty I would never use this place again. I suggest if you are looking for a RV go so where else. Save the frustration. read more
