Came here to grab some breakfast before the XG pop up on Fairfax. I ordered their avocado toast, eggs Benedict, and also got their iced pistachio matcha cold foam. The eggs Benedict and the avocado toast were good and well portioned. My favorite part of the breakfast was the iced pistachio matcha. It was very creamy, nutty, and not too sweet. The service here was okay. I felt like after I was served my food that I was kinda neglected. But in the server's defense, he was like the only one that day. Maybe today was just an outlier. Anyways... try it out if you like. :)

Iced strawberry matcha. Looks better than it was.

I often wish Yelp allowed a half star. I would actually give Blue Daisy 2.5. It's located in the lobby of The Palihotel Melrose. This was my second time in having lunch. I was in the area and chose it because of convenience. The food was fair. Not bad, but it should be better. The sweet potatoes were the star at today's lunch. Service was kind but not overly attentive and I truly miss servers either writing down the table's order or memorizing it. The inputting of the table's order on the handheld device is a step up from ordering at the box at a Sonic drive-in. Or it gives off dining at Chili's or TGI Fridays. The dining area was dismal and the table that hadn't been bussed yet, and never was the entire time we were there is amateur service. The place wasn't busy. There were a couple of tables inside and a few outside on Melrose. All-in-all, it's lackluster. Metered street parking on Melrose and side streets.

Blue Daisy is off of the iconic Melrose in WeHo, and located inside the Palihotel. It was a little difficult to find the entrance and the host at first, but I was seated rather quickly. Outdoor seating is very quiet, and our server was the sweetest lady ever. The patio seating is super charming, except there were little flies that kept landing on me throughout our brunch! It was very distracting and uncomfortable. The flies kept landing on our food too, we had to cover our food with our napkins. I ordered a breakfast burrito and pistachio matcha. Presentation was great, matcha tasted good, and the salad that came with my burrito was amazing!

We came for Happy Hour... and were thoroughly impressed. I can't believe they aren't slammed because this was a very good deal. Happy Hour is 4-7 every day (!). The cocktails are under $10 with beer and wine $5-6! We had the beef sliders, which were large and very good ($10 for 2), the fries ($5) and the chicken tacos ($7 for 2). All were very good. Next time I want to try the flatbread and the feta dip. Lovely patio area and street parking is easy if you come early. Highly recommend for a Happy Hour or hell... make it a light meal.

Came by for breakfast on a weekend with a friend - we just popped in and got a table inside. It's right inside/next to the Palihotel, which is a cute boutique hotel. I ordered the pistachio matcha slightly less sweet. I also got the egg ratatouille. The matcha was delicious! I loved it. The ratatouille wasn't quite a ratatouille, it wasn't what I had envisioned, it's more of a breakfast skillet veggie mix with a fried egg. It was decent but I'd try something else.

First time here, waiter with the rings and curly dark hair was kinda snarky when I asked how to get inside to see host, you'd think they'd be friendly to anyone who's there to spend and tip. My first time leaving no tip to a waiter or bartender and here's why: The only time I saw this guy was when he took my order. Barista brought my drink. Runner brought my food. No one came to check after first bite or ever. Finished and put plates on edge of table and no one came. Sat for about 15 minutes before I started to get up to pay inside, and lo and behold, the waiter appears with the payment terminal! "Sorry they sent me on break" So he never bothered to say anything and just left his tables high and dry? He needs to be better. Management needs to be better if this is the level of service they allow on the floor on a Saturday brunch. Simple communication and a better attitude would have scored him 20%. Train your staff better and weed out this lazy entitled behavior.

This is such an adorable and tiny cafe. It's located inside the Palihotel on Melrose. If you're dining in there metered street parking out front. You can dine in or order to go. We just stopped in to get a quick drink. We got an iced pistachio matcha with cold foam and it was so delicious. I've never had pistachio milk and it's now one of my favorites! It was a perfect pick me up for the middle of the day. The service was amazing. The girl who helped us out was so sweet and had our drink ready in about 5 mins. I would definitely recommend if you're looking for a yummy matcha, can't wait to come back to try their breakfast!

The views ! The cold brew and the seasoned fries had me satisfied ! The pancakes look delicious but I'm more savory than sweet so unless I'm with my kid I can't ! Def gonna bring her here for breakfast and I want that bottomless mimosas situation! Outside seating and cute indoor seating ! It's quiet in the morning , a great place to write or get other things done !

Quaint atmosphere- comfortable seating-attentive servers- outdoor dog friendly seating available, good selection of menu items, food is tasty; I especially loved the pistachio matcha. Street parking.

This place is SO CUTE! It was quite busy on a Sunday afternoon. Great place for outfit inspiration and people watching! I ordered the kale chicken salad and it was DELICIOUS. It was perfectly portioned and the dressing complimented it so well. I could eat this salad everyday. I wish I could! Service was okay but it wouldn't stop me from returning.

    Prisma ..

this review is for their restaurant + food, as we did not stay overnight but only went to experience their bottomless mimosa brunch! bottomless is a steal at 29.99$ with purchase of a dish. they were 100000% bottomless here and that's what we like to see - s/o to Evr, he made sure of it! i ordered the Lox Benedict, my first time having - it was smokey, creamy and chewy consistency with their English muffin. to me, the portion was shareable! lots of flavors but nothing is overpowering the other, making for a well balanced dish. this is a really cute spot with friendly staff. expect to see me again.

Dominic is the man! The service and food was amazing, btw Dominic was my server and he was outstanding. Very attentive, accommodating and just very great energy. The vibe of the place was amazing as well it reminded me of a coffee shop it's just real homey and cute.

I got the skirt steak cooked medium rare -- flavor was good, but it was a little tough to cut. I think it would've paired even better with some garlic butter or chimichurri on the side. The pork chops were delicious and packed with flavor, but the spinach underneath was a bit too bitter for my taste. The mashed potatoes were creamy, soft, and comforting. We also loved the Brussels sprouts and Caesar salad -- both were super solid sides. Drinks were perfect and balanced out the dishes really well. Service and atmosphere were great too. Would definitely come back to try more items on the menu next time we are in the area.

I even called about an hour after I got home because I started getting a scratchy throat and realized I didn't specifically ask if there were strawberries in the raspberry sorbet (I'm allergic and that was completely my mistake for not double checking before I chowed down) but the host that answered was super nice, I could hear in the background her double checking with a server, who then even double checked with the kitchen to make sure they were giving me the correct answer which I really really appreciate. We ordered a bunch of cocktails along with a few glasses of red wine and champagne. The cocktails were definitely the highlight. We tried the Blackberry, Cucumber, Snow Pea, Tomato, and Daikon. The Tomato cocktail was my favorite by far -- savory, balanced, and not overly sweet. Blackberry was a close second, really refreshing and easy to drink. My first glass of champagne was unfortunately flat and pretty gross but to their credit they replaced it immediately once I mentioned it. Still, for an upscale restaurant, that was a little annoying to begin with. For food, we got the asparagus, burger, fries, abalone, and the bluefin tuna belly deviled eggs. The abalone was easily the standout dish of the night. Everything else ranged from just okay to forgettable. The burger sucked. Overall, I'd come back for drinks and would give the food another shot since the menu changes pretty frequently but this particular meal didn't totally hit for me.

Started with drinks and, honestly, can't remember what everyone ordered. I got a Desert Quench which has a tequila base and flavors of bergamot, lime, raspberry and mango. Tasted great, no complaints. For food, we started with the bone marrow and meatballs. The bone marrow was like most bone marrow, you now what you're going to get, while the meatballs were underwhelming. They didn't look appealing in terms of color and flavor was lacking. Entrees, we each tried something different. The steak frites was cooked to order but really didn't set itself apart from other frites. The trout was cooked well, and seasoned nicely, but the purple cauliflower puree, for me, didn't come together in terms of presentation for the dish. The pistachio pesto pasta was very flavorful, mixing in the burrata on top and then the little pops of spice from the chili flakes.. Just a nice bite. Finally was the double wagyu burger with caramelized onions, American cheese and a sauce emulsified with bacon. Very tasty, and those caramelized onions just added another level to each bite. Overall, nice spot in WeHo serving up some tasty cocktails and decent food. Definitely get the pistachio pesto and double wagyu burger, but you can skip the bone marrow, meatballs, frites and trout.

Two days ago Los Angeles Magazine published the following article by Leo Li:…read morehttps://share.google/HxL9oDf3vhjQAtjRF "Where to Watch the World Cup in Los Angeles," looking through it I found The Henry; a place in my neighborhood. The write-up on The Henry makes it sound like a fun place to watch a game after work. I called in advance to make sure that the information in the write up was accurate. I was told that they expected heavy traffic for the game and dinner service. I inquired about a reservation near the bar with a view of the game. I was informed that the "high top" tables near the screens were already booked but that I was welcomed to sit at the bar as available. Up to that point I hadn't heard anything that I wasn't prepared to hear particularly on a Friday during the World Cup so I took a chance had went there with a friend hoping to have a great time. We arrived shortly before 5pm to enjoy a bit of the happy hour menu before dinner. We were greeted and offered a table by the bar near the screens with the condition that we needed to be done by 6:30. Well that wasn't going to work because the game started at 6pm. We sat ourselves at the end of the bar about 20 feet from the two tv screens...perfect! The good: the space is beautiful. Warm pretzel bites with fondue were amazing. The garlic fries were crispy. The Sangria was delicious. The bad: bar service was minimal despite a sparse crowd at the bar. I had to reach across the bar counter to grab myself drink coasters for my Sangria, beer, water and my friend's beverage because the condensation kept dripping on my clothes. The bar tender never bothered to come back and check how my cocktail was as most bar tenders do. The fact that there were three makes it more astounding. The really bad: there was a power outage in the restaurant (not the entire block) 5 minutes before kickoff. 10-15 minutes into the game the power came back on but only one tv was functional. Early on there was a bit of a rush to rectify the matter but as time went on, it seemed to become a non-issue despite concern from those around the bar that we couldn't watch the game. No apologies were offered by management at the time. Not even water was offered a jester of good faith while they sorted out the issue. Like a few others, we decided to cut our losses and left at half time. The buzz at the bar was to meet at Lucky Strikes to finish watching the game. Prior to leaving I approached a woman who seemed concerned with the tv malfunction and asked if she was part of the management. She responded that she was and I proceeded to explain my utter disappointment in the experience. She looked profoundly distraught with my observations...At least that's what I told myself in order to not feel like this had been a complete waste of time. We left without having dinner while watching the game. What a shame because the menu sounded appealing. Oh, BTW the high top table in front of the tv was still vacant by the time we left at half time. Not sure it would've mattered because the tv was malfunctioning anyway. I am truly puzzled by what made the author of the article think that The Henry would be a great place to catch a game of any sort. Our server, the space, decor, location and menu items we tried were amazing. The overall attention to detail, attentiveness to customers and overall experience was not one that I would recommend on a Friday night during the World Cup. CLEARLY, the author missed his mark on this one. Oddly enough, we ran into four others from The Henry at Lucky Strikes. No electricity/media issues there.
