It's crazy how I've never been here before. We randomly pooped in for a late brunch after a quick walk around the neighborhood for some shopping. Plus we noticed that they had a nice patio that was pet friendly. It's part of a hotel when we walked in. We asked the front reception staff if we could look at the menu beforehand which we thought it was part of the restaurant. He mentioned that the restaurant was inside. Somewhat helpful but in a non professional way if you get what I mean. We walked into the restaurant part which there was no one inside. Took a while till we spoke to someone which they mentioned to have a seat anywhere we like. Of course the outdoor patio was where everyone was and it was a perfect afternoon. After seated, the staffs were amazing and very friendly. That's a good sign inside the restaurant. It's mainly breakfast and brunch as they only open till 3. Their cocktail menu was quite impressive with a load of drinks that sounded amazing and pretty reasonable. Started off with their spicy passion fruit margarita and their cucumber mezcalito. Both were very tasty and refreshing. Perfect for an afternoon. Food, a side order of their fries which was different than I have ever had. Shoestring fries tossed in a chili sauce with flakes. That was a surprise and a must have. The mango and chicken salad was perfect. Clean and refreshing with loads of grilled chicken, mangos slices and avocado onto a bed of mixed greens. A perfect spring summer salad that's very refreshing and delicious. Not overly heavy which was great. Lastly the creamy chicken and mushroom crepe. That too was pretty tasty and very filling. Plus the potion was plentiful. Sever with a mixed salad as well. For the amount of it, it was great. The food and drinks were amazing. Service was great with friendly staff. Outdoor patio seemed to be the place as inside was quite beautiful but quiet. Front desk was somewhat helpful when we walked in. But that didn't affect our meal. read more

Blue Daisy has good service, good food, and an okay location--but let's be real, the parking situation is peak Melrose chaos. We had to park a block away and walk, which honestly feels like the unofficial "cover charge" for dining anywhere on this street. Our server was friendly, and the meal itself was decent. The pancake could definitely be better, but nothing was terrible. What threw me off was the checkout process. Our waiter didn't give us a chance to look over the bill before charging us. We split the payment three ways and didn't even get to double‑check if everything was correct. It's not the end of the world, but it's also not the kind of surprise I enjoy with brunch. Overall, the place is fine--just be ready to hunt for parking, walk a bit, and apparently trust that your bill is accurate without seeing it first. read more

Came here to grab some breakfast before the XG pop up on Fairfax. I ordered their avocado toast, eggs Benedict, and also got their iced pistachio matcha cold foam. The eggs Benedict and the avocado toast were good and well portioned. My favorite part of the breakfast was the iced pistachio matcha. It was very creamy, nutty, and not too sweet. The service here was okay. I felt like after I was served my food that I was kinda neglected. But in the server's defense, he was like the only one that day. Maybe today was just an outlier. I often wish Yelp allowed a half star. I would actually give Blue Daisy 2.5. It's located in the lobby of The Palihotel Melrose. This was my second time in having lunch. I was in the area and chose it because of convenience. The food was fair. Not bad, but it should be better. The sweet potatoes were the star at today's lunch. Service was kind but not overly attentive and I truly miss servers either writing down the table's order or memorizing it. The inputting of the table's order on the handheld device is a step up from ordering at the box at a Sonic drive-in. Or it gives off dining at Chili's or TGI Fridays. The dining area was dismal and the table that hadn't been bussed yet, and never was the entire time we were there is amateur service. The place wasn't busy. There were a couple of tables inside and a few outside on Melrose. All-in-all, it's lackluster. Metered street parking on Melrose and side streets. read more

Blue Daisy is off of the iconic Melrose in WeHo, and located inside the Palihotel. It was a little difficult to find the entrance and the host at first, but I was seated rather quickly. Outdoor seating is very quiet, and our server was the sweetest lady ever. The patio seating is super charming, except there were little flies that kept landing on me throughout our brunch! It was very distracting and uncomfortable. The flies kept landing on our food too, we had to cover our food with our napkins. I ordered a breakfast burrito and pistachio matcha. Presentation was great, matcha tasted good, and the salad that came with my burrito was amazing! read more

We came for Happy Hour... and were thoroughly impressed. I can't believe they aren't slammed because this was a very good deal. Happy Hour is 4-7 every day (!). The cocktails are under $10 with beer and wine $5-6! We had the beef sliders, which were large and very good ($10 for 2), the fries ($5) and the chicken tacos ($7 for 2). All were very good. Next time I want to try the flatbread and the feta dip. Lovely patio area and street parking is easy if you come early. Highly recommend for a Happy Hour or hell... make it a light meal. read more

Came by for breakfast on a weekend with a friend - we just popped in and got a table inside. It's right inside/next to the Palihotel, which is a cute boutique hotel. I ordered the pistachio matcha slightly less sweet. I also got the egg ratatouille. The matcha was delicious! I loved it. The ratatouille wasn't quite a ratatouille, it wasn't what I had envisioned, it's more of a breakfast skillet veggie mix with a fried egg. It was decent but I'd try something else. read more

This is such an adorable and tiny cafe. It's located inside the Palihotel on Melrose. If you're dining in there metered street parking out front. You can dine in or order to go. We just stopped in to get a quick drink. We got an iced pistachio matcha with cold foam and it was so delicious. I've never had pistachio milk and it's now one of my favorites! It was a perfect pick me up for the middle of the day. The service was amazing. The girl who helped us out was so sweet and had our drink ready in about 5 mins. First time here, waiter with the rings and curly dark hair was kinda snarky when I asked how to get inside to see host, you'd think they'd be friendly to anyone who's there to spend and tip. My first time leaving no tip to a waiter or bartender and here's why: The only time I saw this guy was when he took my order. Barista brought my drink. Runner brought my food. No one came to check after first bite or ever. Finished and put plates on edge of table and no one came. Sat for about 15 minutes before I started to get up to pay inside, and lo and behold, the waiter appears with the payment terminal! "Sorry they sent me on break" So he never bothered to say anything and just left his tables high and dry? He needs to be better. Management needs to be better if this is the level of service they allow on the floor on a Saturday brunch. Simple communication and a better attitude would have scored him 20%. Train your staff better and weed out this lazy entitled behavior. read more

Dined here for Sunday brunch with a friend before hitting up The Melrose Trading Post. We came closer to the afternoon and they weren't super busy. We were seated in about 10 mins. Service was very mid - our server wasn't very upbeat and after we received our food, we were pretty much ignored until we had to flag him down for the check. In his defense though, I think he was the only server so the restaurant needs to work on their staffing! I had the eggs Benedict with their housemade sausage. My friend also had the Benedict but with ham. We also ordered the chocolate chip pancakes to share. The eggs were actually pretty good! I liked the seasoning in the sausage, and the hollandaise sauce was tasty too. The pancakes were just alright, a little on the dryer side. Overall the experience was between okay and good! Maybe if the service was better I would have felt more positive about it, but also at the same time their food didn't WOW me to the point where I would want to come back. read more

Came here for brunch on a Saturday - service was okay (it wasn't full but we had to flag down waiters to take orders and refill water) and the best aspect of this place is probably the location. Food 3/5 We ordered the chocolate pancakes, the eggs Benedict, the breakfast sandwich, and the breakfast special along with the lemonade + mint and matcha pistachio latte. Honestly everything here was okay at best, nothing really stood out about the meal and you're definitely paying a premium for the location and ambiance. I'd say all the food orders were a 3/5 rating given the price and the quality/amount of food given, and the only different ratings are the eggs Benedict and pistachio matcha at 2/5. The eggs Benedict hollandaise sauce lacked any flavor and as shown, they didn't give much sauce. The pistachio matcha tasted almost medicine-like, which happens when a low quality syrup is used. The shining star for the food were the fries. Overall I would not come back here as there are better brunch spots in the LA area and I don't think this place really caters towards people looking for a high quality meal. Also there's a 20% surcharge for parties of 6 or more which was upsetting given the service mentioned above! read more

Very few staff but she did best she could. It was a hot day and the patio was not the place to be. She nicely accommodated the move in door even though I did ask for outside. Very comfortable inside but I can get loud because it gets busy fast as it's part of a hotel. The dressing is casual and cute. Service is attentive but as I say they were short staffed so I will not knock the stars off. Food does come out fast after order. Very nice presentation on all orders. The salad nicely dressed with just enough condiments to not overwhelm. The croissant so flaky and not too oily. All in all delicious sandwich! Portion size is huge to make price worth it. About $30 a person for a meal and coffee. It is LA on Melrose after all! Parking is hard. Street meters only for 2 hours. There are other street parking on other side of streets but you'll have to walk. read more

Brunched here with my friend on Sunday morning and was very pleased with everything. The restaurant is located inside the Palihotel and for parking, the only option is street. When we arrived we were seated immediately. The place is fairly small but they do have many tables and booths to fit the space. Our servers were friendly and we both ordered the Breakfast Combo which comes with 3 eggs any style, choice of protein, and pancakes or french toast. I got scrambled eggs, bacon, and pancakes. The bacon was delicious and was crispy with a slight chew (the best way to consume bacon). The pancakes were immaculate.
