1200 pm, Tuesday, June 23, 2026, Meyers Manx Cafe is located at the Petersen Automotive Museum on the west side. Small cafe with outdoor seating. We were seated immediately just before the lunch rush. The Manx Burger is an amazing double smash burger with bacon jam and well done fries. The fries were perfectly fried to a golden brown. Service was amazing.
We came here yesterday to see The Vault for my son's birthday and we remembered liking Meyers Manx last time we came. I've always liked the decor. This time it was very busy, we had to wait a while for food, but our server was so sweet and apologetic, she gave us a free chocolate chip cookie. I tried the Poke Tostadas this time and was disappointed it was only two, it seemed like a rip-off for $16. I probably should have gone with the Chilaquiles, which was back on the menu. I hope the next time I go it's not gone, missing an opportunity. Other than that, service really made up for things. We love the Petersen, so we will be back.
This cafe is attached to the automotive museum, but there is an entrance off the street that takes you to the back of the restaurant. From the inside you can peek into the museum and that was pretty cool. Service was a little off putting and slow. But the food was delicious. They have different hot sauces available on the table that were super good with their food. Their cold brew was pretty good and overall had a decent experience.
I was taking a day trip to LA and was looking to start my day with a sit-down breakfast. As I was planning to visit the Academy Museum, I looked for eateries in that vicinity. Meyers Manx Cafe was one of the top results - and conveniently located right across the street from the museum. Photos and reviews looked great, so I made plans to grab a bite here. MMC is actually located in the Petersen Automotive Museum, though they do have their own entrance on the street. Note you don't need to purchase museum admission to dine here, and you can park in the museum's garage (how convenient!). The restaurant is pretty spacious, with high ceilings and decor paying homage to the automotive industry (though it's not too much in your face). The lime green booths add a nice pop of color. The breakfast menu contains a decent amount of items - it seemed to be a mix of more traditional American fare as well as Southwestern and Mexican cuisine. I decided to get the breakfast tacos which contained eggs, queso fresco, aioli, and pickled red onion, on flour tortillas. I had the option to add a protein, so I went with chicken sausage. The tacos were good - the aioli made them a little messy, but they had good flavor and the fillings were generous without being overstuffed. Someone else in my party got the chilaquiles - I nabbed a few bites of that and it was quite good as well. Service was good - everyone was friendly and food came out timely. Overall, I had a good experience at Meyers Manx; this is somewhat of a hidden gem in the area, and an ideal spot for a meal as you're exploring Museum Row.

The restaurant is on brand with the automotive theme. It also has a cool retro diner vibe with its colorful decor and art pieces on the walls. It was a beautiful day, so we sat outside, to appreciate the red architecturally designed walls of the museum. Though it's by a busy street, it's still cozy with its surrounding trees and plants. 10/10 on overall ambiance of the places. I started out with the Ube cloud matcha, which was pretty yummy, (8/10). I had a sip of my boyfriend's mango lemonade, which was also yummy and refreshing, (10/10). All 4 of us ordered different items from the menu, and we all liked our entrees, from the classic burger, chicken sando, and poke bowl. I had the Santa fe salad, which was the right amount of crunch, savory, spice, and sauce, (10/10). Our server, Naisi, was amazing... always near by for anything we needed. They work as a team, and everyone else was attentive, even when they got busy. Service was definitely a 10/10.
Lovely little quaint cafe just inside of the Petersen Museum. Surprisingly good and lots of good food choices. Prices are not bad and the decor is eclectic with many interesting posters and vintage photos throughout. Truly a hidden gem with nice background music evoking fond memories of the past Great pancakes and they do have a pizza oven. Must must try I am giving it 5 stars because the food is good service was great and I had a dang good time!! "Nuff said "!!
This café is a hidden gem tucked inside the auto museum on Wilshire, conveniently located right across from the Academy Museum. We popped in for a quick bite after finding the Academy's café closed. It was incredibly busy, & while we were told there was a long wait, we managed to snag seats at the bar. Unfortunately, the service was a bit disorganized. We felt forgotten a couple of times...first while waiting for a table to open up, & again once we were seated. After waiting nearly 30 minutes without being acknowledged, I eventually had to walk up to the coffee station to ask someone to take our order. We tried the breakfast burrito, which was quite good, though the portions felt a bit small for the price. The Vintage California decor & retro vibes are beautiful, but the seating is very tight--you're practically elbow-to-elbow with your neighbor. The standout was the gentleman behind the bar. Despite accidentally cutting his finger on some glass, he remained incredibly kind & helpful; he was definitely the highlight of the staff. I'd consider returning, but only on a weekday when it's less crowded so the service can keep up~~~
Would rate a 10 if I could. This was hands down the best waffle I've ever eaten in my entire life oh my godddd. The hot chocolate was so velvety creamy smooth too, I loved everything. The interior was so cute and California car chic. The exterior was sick! I didn't realize when I looked it up and was driving to it that this cafe is inside the Petersen Auto Museum but the building is REALLY cool. I parked behind on the 2hr street parking since I wasn't there for the museum and it was probably the highlight of my trip to LA food wise. Another note, I went right as they opened and it seemed like despite the sign saying to wait to be seated, there was not hostess yet and it was just counter service at first. I was waiting around for a bit lol but I think as they get busier they seat you.
Cute little spot in an unlikely place! My friends and I came here for lunch and I had Nearburg's Chicken Sando, which was really good & the fries that came with it were nice and crispy. I would dine here again.

Good and very fresh Tuna poke Tacos in a crispy taco shell. Just too tiny of three to satisfy a lunch meal for $15. It's almost like a snack than lunch. The Bruce Meyer's Breakfast Burrito was a bit better. Slightly more generous and very good. The restaurant is bright and has automotive and music memorabilia displays around. Service was alright.
Was pleasantly surprised by this cafe connected to the Petersen Museum. Food was very good and had quality ingredients. Sourdough pizza made in a wood fired oven. They also have a variety of drinks such as lattes, fresh lemonade. Seating is a little tight inside and service was just okay. She talked so soft and fast I didn't hear one thing that was said.
I wasn't expecting much from a restaurant inside a museum, but this place surprised me. The space was nice, the staff was friendly, and service was solid. The food was better than I expected--definitely not the usual grab-and-go museum fare. I had the shrimp tacos with a salad and my son had the breakfast burrito. Both were fresh and well made. Overall, it was a great addition to an already impressive museum visit and somewhere I'd eat again if I was back.

The Meyers Manx Cafe is a really solid, reliable diner-style spot inside the Petersen. You don't need a museum ticket to eat there, so it's worth stopping in even if you don't have time for the museum. Great atmosphere, very good food, and breakfast is served all day which is always a plus IMHO. I've eaten here a number of times and haven't had a bad meal. Prices seem pretty average for the area, and there's a great beverage selection, including plenty of coffee drinks. Indoor and outdoor seating. An easy recommendation. read more

I just stopped in for a quick caffeine fix before visiting the Petersen museum. There are two separate counters -- the first just inside the door is for a table, and the cafe one (for to-go) is farther inside. I got the dirty chai which was spicier than I anticipated, but liked it! 12oz for $7 is a bit steep though. Also, the museum doesn't allow drinks, so finish before you enter the exhibits or you'll be asked to drink and toss before continuing. read more
Last time I was at the museum the cafe was closed. I made a mental note to come back and try it another time because the decor looked super fun and SoCal. Came in today to have lunch, and the atmosphere, before all of the kiddos showed up, was fun and casual and had a nice vibe. We ordered the breakfast tacos which were mediocre. Two flour tortillas straight out of the bag, not warmed up, with scrambled eggs and a too sweet sauce drizzled on them topped with pickled red onions. The waffle with honey butter and honeycomb on top was fair. Nothing special, but tasted okay. Surprisingly, the iced strawberry lattes were the winner for taste and uniqueness. The staff wasn't rude at all but they weren't that engaging and the busier the restaurant got, the less engaged they were with service. By the end of our meal, the host and hostess were speed walking around the place trying to figure out where to seat guests at the door. Happy I went back to try it but it's a one and done for me. I made the mistake of parking in the museum parking garage, and it was $18.00 to exit. That added-on to the restaurant tab made it a pricey lunch. read more

We normally wouldn't have stopped at this cafe located in the Petersen Automotive Museum, but we had some time to kill before the museum opened and decided to get breakfast. I'm glad we had that time now because it was a cozy little setup and the food was actually really good. Typically the food you can get at a museum feels more like an afterthought as it only exists to get more of your money while visiting. That is not the case with the Meyers Manx Cafe. Here, it feels like they actually care about the food and the experience. Our order consisted of pancakes, breakfast tacos, and some oatmeal; all were very good. So, on your next visit to the Petersen Automotive Museum, make the decision to arrive before opening and get your breakfast at the Meyers Manx Cafe. You won't be disappointed. a cute lil spot nestled inside the petersen automotive museum. from the IG videos, i thought it would be a bigger restaurant but its pretty small and fills up fast. highly recommend making a reservation. my friend made a reservation and when we showed up, we were seated right away. the interior is super esthetic and perfect for photo ops. the staff were sweet and attentive to us and our 4 lil ones. i ordered a steak breakfast burrito and the chicken nuggets for my daughter. my burrito was delicious but the nuggets were basic and the fries were overly salted. read more

Meyers Manx Cafe has a unique and vibrant vibe. It's located at the Petersen Automotive Museum. It has a colorful patio with white umbrella-protected tables contrasting with bright red walls. The interior is equally engaging with vintage diner-type decor, a racecar driver's suit in a plexiglass display, a surfboard and interior window seats looking out on the interior of the museum with its very cool cars. I ordered the breakfast burrito (with eggs, tots, cheese, avocado and a side of salsa) and my wife ordered the Tuna Poke Tacos (tuna on wonton tacos with avocado, spicy mayo and micro greens). The burrito was recommended to me by the waiter, who said it was one of their best sellers. Both dishes tasted very good --- and both were very small. My breakfast burrito may have been the smallest I've ever had. The portion size for the price is the reason for the 4 (vs. 5-star) rating. Our waiter was efficient and friendly. read more

Came here after visiting the car museum! We just grabbed a few to go coffees / lattes but they were extremely slow in getting them ready for us. We probably waited 15 minutes for them to arrive. That being said, the coffee quality was good! They were friendly, but I feel like there are other cafes in the area where the service would be better. Would come here in a pinch but wouldn't make a special trip to come out here. read more

We stumbled upon this place tucked away in the Peterson museum. You can enter without buying a museum ticket. Other museums have very nice but EXPENSIVE restaurants. Meyers is much more reasonable and the menu is approachable and the food is fresh and delicious. I had the best breakfast burrito I've ever had! My margarita was also top notch. My friend had the poke and it too was high on the list of pokes in LA great martini too. Our server was so friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is great. It's got a tropical vibe but some classic cars are on display too. Will return! read more
If you're doing street parking, we parked a few blocks away. The restaurant Is located inside of the museum, so perfect place to take someone from out of town or on a date. I got here about 10:45 it wasn't busy and seems like the patio wasn't open just yet but upon leaving two hours later, it was filled and looked way more inviting I definitely recommend making a reservation if you want to sit outside and you're coming after 11:30. I ordered the breakfast burrito and pancakes and both were delicious my friend and I got some rounds of mimosas. Overall great experience the staff was super friendly. I'll definitely be back!! read more

I tried this place on a Saturday afternoon. I was glad to have made a reservation as it was pretty busy. We ordered the burger, pancakes, a burrito, and chilaquiles. The pancakes and lattes we ordered were absolutely delicious! I liked that the waiter was attentive and very joyful. I did not like the fact that they don't validate for parking and there wasn't another convenient place to park. read more
The host, waiter, and wait staff were amazingly friendly and efficient. We chose outdoors seating because it was beautiful day but you would never known we were right off a busy street. Started with hummus with fresh veggies and bread which was all delicious. The burger, pizza, and Cobb salad were all delicious. Great food at a great price! read more

Was at Petersons and de used to eat at Meyers. Good call!! Service was excellent and the food was outstanding. We had pizza, shrimp tacos, tuna tacos, and a Cobb salad. Everyone reported loving the good. read more

Upon walking into this fantastic spot from the street one is met with both California Car Culture and high ceilings of eclecticism. The decor is that of surfboards inter mixed with floor length drapes, wicker light fixtures and a ton of art from the mid to late 1960s including graphic art that simply says ' Turbo Tears'. Behind the bar, The GM, Javier is wonderful and matches the kindness of the staff. They roast coffee from South America here in house and the baristas are so very wonderful in what they do. The merch looks amazing and ranges from shirts to classic model cars to pounds of coffee. This place smoothly acts as a cafe and well positioned towards the front after the host stand. The breakfast burrito is all day long and one of my favorites in LA for two reasons - the freshness of the eggs and the fantastic mango based salsa that accompanies it. Being a surf inspired space, it's got a menu to match and I am grateful for this. Thank you Señor Manx for your restaurant and happy the subway will be stopping right in front of your location. Cute little spot inside the car museum. Decor is great, very vintage California and retro feeling to keep the vibes flowing with the classic cars. You order at the pos, you can get coffee, pastries, and food, and they give you a number and seat yourself when not busy, and food is brought out to your table. There was also a bar, but we did not utilize, but it was cute as well. I had the French toast, and the lemon curd was great with the milk bread. So good, just the right amount of lemon pucker. My date had the breakfast burrito, and said it was really good as well. Didn't try the mango habanero salsa that came with it, but topped it with the table set siracha. read more
