I had a nice experience at this LGBTQ+ owned coffee shop in the Hollywood area! For drinks, I asked the barista for a recommendation and they recommended me the brown sugar toffee flavored iced coffee which I got with oat milk and it was good! I loved the coffee flavor and the drink was perfectly sweetened. The ice ratio was also perfect, not too icy nor too ice less. For food, I got their breakfast burrito with the added beef and it was decent. The burrito came hot, so I had to wait a bit to cool. The components were all good and paired well with the salsa. It was giving cafeteria vibes but not bad. The interior was also colorful, comfy, and nice. I came to work for a couple hours and it was good since there was wifi and outlets. I wish I had discovered this place earlier on my trip to Los Angeles! The coffee was piping, hot and delicious and we ordered some breakfast sandwiches that were huge and lasted us several hours, they were delicious to nibble on. The service was really good, and the barista made sure to read the order back to me to make sure everything was correct. I love the LGBT Center and this inviting coffee shop on their campus (open to all) is a great place to stop in for a cup or to sit for a while. I had a client meeting there and found the seating options decent. It's not a large space but there are plenty of different table options, from high tops to communal tables to some smaller tables. Staff was exceptionally friendly. It's just a completely different vibe here and you get that right away. People seem glad to be here and glad to be working here... and it shows. There are food options including lunch sandwiches and pretty pastries and muffins for the morning. This is all the way around a way better way to do your coffee hangout. read more

The sandwich was $10 and not that big, but once I bit into it, it all made sense. Amazing. The pesto, the roasted tomato, the caramelized onions--all nestled between two perfectly toasted croissant buns. Firme! The parking situation was a bit weird. There's a clear way to get upstairs, but I couldn't find a door or entrance to get back down into the garage. Still, it's free for an hour, so no complaints! The Libertation Coffee House is located by LA LGBT Center (Anita May Rosenstein Campus). They staff their employees with graduates from a culinary program. I really enjoyed the vibrant and safe space. I was planning on meeting up with a friend in area and needed to finish up work in the meantime. I noticed many others also use the space to work and study. The coffee shop is airy and spacious. I was able to focus and stay productive. There are parking meters on the side - but I learned they also have a parking garage in the building. Despite the lot fees, you can tell the parking attendant you are visiting the coffee shop and they'll let you park for free. read more

I did ask for a cold brew, but they do not serve cold brew at this coffee house. The person behind the counter apologized, but assured me that their iced coffee was just as good, and they were correct. Rich, smooth cold iced coffee was just the ticket. Ham and Cheese Croissant: 4 stars! Very good Croissant - served warm. Flaky, buttery laminated layers of goodness with delicious ham, cheese and a touch of dijon mustard inside! I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this place has a savory pastry option. Service: 5 stars The folks here at Liberation Coffee House are kind, knowledgeable about the products they sell and very efficient.
