Tried to get in on a Friday evening without reservations and it was over an hour wait, so we left. I made reservations for the following Saturday evening outside. The atmosphere on the outdoor patio is nice with umbrellas during the day and string lighting for the evening. We started of with their soup of the day, corn chowder. Plenty of roasted corn, just the right amount of potatoes and an oh so creamy chowder base. Simply delicious. My wife had the grilled mahi mahi with pesto butter and grilled asparagus. The fish was cooked perfectly and the presto butter complimented the filet nicely. I had the grilled mahi tacos with shoe string fries (I will try their chips next time since the were out during this visit). The tacos were delicious with huge smokey flavor from the grilled fish. The fries were crispy and flovorful (I had to fend off my better half's invasion numerous times). To round off our great meal and evening, we split a key lime pie since I'm a sucker for this delightful dessert. Hands down, this is one of the best key lime pie I've ever had. I actually contemplated a slice to go but I'll save that for my next visit. Oh, I forgot to mention our waiter was excellent and BYOB is welcomed which is awesome. This place is a hidden gem in our area and we will definitely come back. read more

I have seen some hard-working bus people and pleasant hostess, but servers don't refill beverages (last 2 times i was there, different server each time). I'm not sure why I haven't reviewed this place yet. It's been in Flemington for a such a long time and has become a staple dining location in my family. Overall, the food quality has been increasing over the years. We love their pesto butter and the way you can mix and match your protein with sides. We really enjoyed the tuna "nachos" today, which were crispy wontons with spicy ahi tuna. You can bring your pooch to sit on the porch in the summer! read more

Had a nice lunch here! Got the fried calamari and fish and chips and grilled pineapple. Fried calamari was pretty good and standard. Wish it came with red sauce and not tartar sauce. It also seemed to come with a combi or other fried things like peppers. Was good ! Fish and chips was actually one of the best. There is just something about their fries that is sooo good. It was like a sugar paprika seasoning that was amazing. The fish was light and flaky. The grilled pineapple was okay. Seemed not particularly ripe and was very smoky tasting. I dont think I would get it again but it was good. Parking lot available but it was packed when I was there so I opted to park on the street. First time eating here and had to try after reading the reviews. I concur with all the 5 stars. I definitely recommend reservations. The Mojo Mariscos was phenomenal. The sea scallops were tender, shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the mussels in the broth brought the dish together as a while. Use the grilled bread to sop up the broth when finished. Do yourself a favor and order the plantains...but make sure to order at least two orders because trust me you won't want to share. They have multiple seating areas...downstairs is the livelier area, upstairs a little quieter and they also have outdoor seating. Went here with my family today and enjoyed a lovely lunch. My parents are on some weird fad diet where they can't have nightshade vegetables, dairy that isn't from the UK, nuts, legumes, grains and most things that make food taste good. Despite Blue Fish Grill being a super tasty restaurant that likes to serve food that tastes good, they were able to accommodate these crazy people. My grandma and I enjoyed the crab cake plate and my husband loved his mahi-mahi tacos. Everyone left full and happy! The service was very slow(an hour and half lunch with no dessert) but other than that our experience was great! read more

They have great food and great service! The only thing my friend, who is English, didn't care for was that she thought the bread was too sweet. But if you know any English people, they all think that American bread is too sweet! Other than that, we had a wonderful time!!! read more

Food and service we both great here! I ordered the Mahi Mahi Tacos and we had empanadas as an app. Both were different, but very delicious. The empanadas has plantains inside. The tacos had a nice slaw on top of the fish, and you also had the option to grill or fry the fish. I opted for a side salad and was not disappointed with that either. Dinner on the front deck was just fantastic! We were a party of six... four adults, one five year, and one three year old... with hungry bellies after some serious hiking nearby. We were greeted warmly and immediately felt at home. You can tell this restaurant has worked hard at making everyone feel safe and hearing so many people say hello by first name - I instantly knew this was where the town came to eat dinner. Tom, our server was fun, and gave us good advice on what the local favorites were. We tried a little of everything and it was all amazing!! Our five year old even said (after eating all three of his chicken tenders) that when he gets older he wants to come back here and get these chicken tenders again. This made us all crack up!!! But we also thought the same thing after tasting our food as well...we just have the advantage of getting in our car and coming again whenever we want - which will be as soon as we can! I visited Blue Fish Grill again last night and sure enough, it was just as good. I'm glad we got there relatively early (around 5:15pm) because the restaurant got packed within the couple hours we were there. Pretty much every table was occupied and it was only a Thursday night! Service was good. Our server was very knowledgeable about the specials they were offering. I wasn't too hungry so I ordered off of the kids menu. Other restaurants have given me a hard time about this in the past so I was relieved when they told me it wouldn't be a problem. I ordered the popcorn shrimp which came with fries. The portion size was surprisingly large. My meal was really good... the fries might have been the best part! I also love that the restaurant is BYO. If you forget to bring your own alcohol, don't worry because they sell wine from Old York Cellars as well! read more

Used to be one of my favorite fish taco place, but unfortunately their menu changed. My go to was always the BFG tacos, which were seriously one of the best fish tacos ever. Apparently, they took it off the menu the day before I came back to town for a visit. Previously fries and chips came with the fish tacos and sandwiches. Now you have to pay extra for them. I tried the Latin Mahi bowl, since my usual BFG tacos were missing. i'm not one to leave food on my plate. If I do, I usually pack it up. In this case, I didn't want to bother bringing the dish home. The fish was really dry and the beans were bland. The redeeming factor of the dish were the caramelized plantains. Those were delicious at least. I wish the restaurant would return back to its original menu and quality of food. Now, the food isn't as good and the prices are higher. This could be due to the fact that they moved from their original location to a larger building with two floors. I guess they need to cover the expense somehow, but I would have been happier had they stayed in their original location producing the high quality food that I had always attributed to them. read more

WOW what a great meal. I am SO happy we ordered the Mussels. They came in this DELICIOUS coconut curry tasting broth. Excellent. I ordered the Latin Mahi Bowl, loved it. The Mahi was so so good, perfect flavor. The Black Beans, Rice, and Plantains were done well. My friend ordered the Grilled Shrimp, Asparagus, and Rice and it came with a side of Pesto Butter. I tasted the Pesto Butter, YUM! I saw them bring out some amazing looking salads and sandwiches, can't wait to come back and get that. Atmosphere: Perfect blend of Industrial, Casual, and Stylish.
