Great looking spot to have breakfast and many others obviously feel that way considering the activity level. Fo not recommend the Bubbles & Squeak. Difficult to eat.

This is a must-visit breakfast spot when visiting Victoria. There often is a line but if you go early or with a small party, the line is shorter. It was maybe 5-10 mins before the two of us got seated. I usually don't love breakfast spots but this one was impressive. We ordered the migas & amigos, double stack griddle cakes, and caramel macadamia nut latte. We went hungry and still had leftovers because the portions are generous! The potatoes were some of the best breakfast potatoes I've had, great fresh jam, and everything was cooked really well and flavorful. I'm actually considering coming back tomorrow!

A few weeks ago, I came to Victoria to join a race and wanted to try a brunch place while I was there. Blue Fox Café seems like a really popular spot, we waited for around an hour, and the line didn't stop even as it got close to closing time. The portions are massive, and the menu is quite varied. I'd definitely recommend sharing, as I can't imagine finishing anything on my own (we took the pancakes to go for a pre-race breakfast). They also have a pretty quirky drink menu, with options like chili hot chocolate and hot cider. I really enjoyed my dirty chai, nicely spiced without being too sweet. Overall, recommended if you are in Victoria! Just come prepared to wait for a table. Oranges del Sol ($22) Two griddle cakes (massive, thick pancakes - I'm pretty sure they used buttermilk) with oranges, pecans, vanilla bean cream, and orange blossom syrup. As a sweet tooth, this was my favorite! The pancakes were super fluffy, and the orange added a refreshing twist. I also loved the orange blossom syrup and they even gave us extra at no extra charges for the leftovers. Chorizo & Eggs ($21) Eggs with spicy chorizo and tomato purée, served alongside toast and jam. A solid dish; the chorizo added a nice kick, though the egg texture felt a bit off to me. I think potatoes would have paired better than the toast. My main complaint was that the dish was served cold. Moroccan Chicken Benny ($24) This benny was served on a bagel instead of the traditional English muffin. The portions were generous, and the chicken was tender, though the overall taste was a bit on the sweet side (probably from the apple chutney or Moroccan spice). Still, one of the better Bennies I've had... their hollandaise was quite good.

We got lucky and got seated right away. It gets very busy and it's a small place. I got the salmon benedict. The salmon was so fresh and the eggs were cooked perfect! The potatoes were crispy but still soft on the inside! What a great mea!

The line was very long, but it was definitely worth the wait! Food was fantastic! Place is small but cozy! Love the art pieces on the wall! Will go back to this place again. Here's what we ordered: Fox's Grill $24 3 large local farm fresh eggs, 3 slices smoky bacon, 2 savoury pure pork sausages, seasoned panfried potatoes, grilled tomatoes & brown button mushrooms, hot buttered toast & fresh fruit jam. Moroccan Chicken Benny $24 (a little spicy) House blend Moroccan spiced chicken breast, sautéed brown button mushrooms & onions, palm date apple chutney & Moroccan spiced holly. Double Stack French Toast $17 Two extra thick cut slices french, batter dipped, golden brown grill, Saigon cinnamon, powdered sugar, whipped butter & pure Canadian maple syrup. Double Stack Griddle Cakes $17 Scratch batter made in house! Two fluffy cakes, pure Canadian maple syrup, Saigon cinnamon, whipped butter & powdered sugar. Add ~ Belgian chocolate chips + $2

Worth the wait!! Expect to wait atleast 45 minutes. Food is delicious and large portions. Both greens and breakfast potatoes amazing not sure which one was better. The best breakfast/brunch when in Victoria!

Waited about 45 min on a Friday at 11:45 but well worth it. Great service and hospitality from the staff, large menu selection with great culinary creativity throughout the menu. Food came out quick and was delicious. This is a must if you are looking for breakfast/brunch in Victoria.

Truthfully, I did not take his photo. But it's so perfect for this cafe.

Ok, so there is a line. Ok, I'm not going to say it goes fast. Although, I will say, parties of 2 get seated faster than larger parties. We were there on a very busy Sunday afternoon. Trust me when I say, you need to eat here. I promise we 4 all forgot about the hour & 15 minutes we waited outside in line; after we were eating a delectable meal! Simple as that! Inside the restaurant is adorable, maybe fairytale-ish. Suggestion: share the pancake. It is too huge for one person, perhaps even 2. But most importantly, they are delicious! We saw some "regulars" sit down & the 4 of them shared one meal, the pancakes. They were full & satisfied when they left! Everyone deserves to taste these. Tastes like eating a gift from the universe. Their lemonade was scrumptious, their hot chocolate, the Eggs Benedict was perfection! The staff is fantastic! Like crazy nice, efficient & personable! Best experience & best food! Don't bother going elsewhere!

It's KIND of an oatmeal.. yum!

I do not believe they take reservations so we went and waited an hour plus...Well it's worth a solid 30 minute wait but the hour ish took us all over the top. With that being said the restaurant is small and two tops are a way easier way to be seated fyi.... We had 4 ppl.. so once seated we learned you have an hour to sit once your food arrives (which we appreciated because we waited for the previous table to time out)..lol. But once seated the food and staff are fabulous! Food is served hot, well flavored and plentiful! Everything is farm to table basically... their eggs are a deep orange yolk and the flavors of their food is delicious! Kudos. I mean if you can make tofu taste amazing and I love tofu... you can do anything! Food and jams... don't miss their toast and jams! Yummy yum yum

    Guavarita and Mocha

The food was so good that we came back a second day on our vacation. The first I had a Guavarita and the huevos rancheros dish...so good. My daughter her a mocha and waffle. She said both were the best she's had in a while. On day two, I tried the cardamom orange oatmeal...amazing!

    Bubble and Squeak!

Everything is incredible about this place. Do not skip on your trip to Victoria! There will be a wait but don't fret the line moves quick. Food is so flavorful and they give large portions! Ambiance is so cute and cozy.

    eggs Benedict

The best eggs Benedict I have ever eaten. On a plain bagel which was an interesting change up. Well done. Hollandaise on the side. My husband loves pancakes with eggs on top.. He was quite impressed. Our traveling companions had an order of french toast and eggs Benedict. The ham on the Benedict was such a treat. Loved it. Would definitely recommend it. Worth the wait.

Tasted the Moroccan eggs Benedict. Typically don't like hollandaise sauce but the spices did not make it taste like that kind of sauce. I ended up not eating the bagel bread under the Benny because the chicken and eggs were very filling. Tried the potatoes. Very well done and tasty. Portions are shareable.

A solid spot with its own distinct vibe and an impressively long menu…read more Great for groups since there's something for everyone, and the portions are generous. Almost too much for one person. One thing that stood out: unlike most diners that only offer one brewed coffee option, this place lets you choose between regular and dark roast. Small detail, but appreciated. I went on a weekday morning, so there was no wait, but the space isn't very large, so I'd recommend making a reservation during peak hours. Staff were friendly overall, and the atmosphere is worth experiencing. That said, while the food was consistently solid, it wasn't particularly memorable. I ordered the Valentino, smoked salmon and poached egg on an English muffin with avocado, but the avocado was completely unripe, which brought down both the texture and the flavor. With a menu this wide, most dishes land in the "good" rather than "great" range, and execution details like that make a difference. If you're going for variety and the overall experience, you'll be satisfied, but if you're hoping for something exceptional, it may feel a bit underwhelming. Bottom line: a reliable brunch option for groups, as long as you're not setting the bar too high on the food itself.

It was delicious and beautiful. A lot of love and effort is put into this. Sylvia's scones are phenomenal. If she opened up a bakery I would buy all her scones and loaves. The bathroom is a nice size with a big tub. So why the three stars? There is a radiator in the room but ours didn't work well and would heat up and did not stay hot. We were cold. If you are on the first floor please note that sound travels. you can really hear any movement above you and you can hear conversations very well outside your room which didn't make me feel particularly comfortable since I'm sure even just is talking normally can be heard by others as well. Didn't feel amazing from a privacy perspective. When you book it says there is daily housekeeping. There's no daily housekeeping. We were asked if anything was missing from our room by the breakfast server but nothing else. If you're expecting your trash to be emptied or bed to be made that did not happen our whole stay. Location: not really walkable to the downtown area or most things in Victoria. A couple other small things that I wouldn't even mention if the above two were no issue: The bed was okay although not super comfortable in my opinion. The outlets are really inconvenient and there aren't many. They mention there is tea, hot chocolate, and coffee. There's no hot chocolate and no creamer in your room if you want some later. I do think this place could be good for others but it was not the right fit for us. For a bed and breakfast the room just wasn't super comfortable for us to want to spend time there.
