Awful management and service. Came in here and wasn't sure if I would get a beer, looked up and down the bar, saw an open table near the front where it wasn't freezing like in the back, so sat down. A minute later a woman in green comes up to say it was reserved. There was no sign anywhere. I was not gonna sit in the cold back and would never have ordered without a seat. So I asked for a refund on the beer I had barely touched. She went to get a manager, a really rude and angry brunette bitch. Instead of a refund she got a chair and shoved me next to someone with his disgusting half eaten nachos everywhere. Fuck her and fuck this place read more

Came here on a Wednesday with my colleagues after a stressful training at NYu. We sat by the window, kinda empty. I did not like those stools so uncomfortable. Two of us ordered margaritas and another one got vodka seltzer. The girl kept coming to ask if we were ready to order and honestly we were so engaged in conversation she had to come back like 3 times.We obviously apologized. Anyway we orders chicken tacos OMG!! So huge and amazing to share will definitely one back for that. We came here on a Sunday to watch football. Our waitress was very sweet at first, but we never received menus. We ordered Buffalo wings, chicken fingers, and fries. When the chicken fingers arrived, they turned out to be breaded chicken cutlets -- heavy breading, little to no seasoning, and nothing like what you'd expect when ordering "chicken fingers." We asked to speak to a manager, explained that we never received menus, and politely requested to send the dish back. Instead of trying to resolve the situation, the manager insisted that there was a photo on the menu (which we never got) and told us there was nothing she could do. She kept repeating how "high quality" the meat was rather than addressing the issue. We took one bite before realizing it wasn't what we expected, and I've never been to a restaurant that refuses to take back an untouched dish under those circumstances. It would be one thing if we had eaten the whole plate and then complained, but that wasn't the case. Overall, the food was disappointing, and the management's attitude was unprofessional. I've never been treated this poorly at a restaurant. read more

Let me tell you I had some awesome service from Megan and awesome food. I was on a first date. My date chose the location. It was a great choice. I'll be back, just without the date. The chicken and gravy was so amazingly good. The gravy had sausage in it. The chicken was on top of a flaky biscuit with a fried gooey egg. Fried cauliflower was in a zesty sweet sauce. I was licking my fingers. I highly recommend this place and sit in Megan's station as she was very attentive and personable. read more

Solid sports bar. Came here to watch the Mets playoff game. They let the TV sound play which I appreciated. Wasn't a fan of them overcharging us a beer but it is what it is. Lots of screens and large beer selection on draft. Good for big groups. read more

Truly no other bar like Blue Haven East. Rowdy game days to sleepy Tuesday nights, these guys have always had my back. I'm better taken care of here than my own home, in most respects. And if you have the pleasure of meeting Katelyn, Avery, or Meg Bombs, you can thank God. Those ladies are the holy grail of bartenders. I'd trust them with my life. I think they know me better than I know myself. AND best bar food in the city--the chicken buffalo dip, extra carrots is elite. Wow. So disappointed in service, I'd avoid this shelter in a hurricane. I was seated at a 2-seater high top to watch football, waiting for my second to join and I had even called ahead letting them know I was coming. I didn't even have a good table I was last table fully back in the corner. I order a beer and have a few sips of it when all of a sudden five minutes before kickoff the waitress came and took my second chair - claiming it was for a reservation (hadn't had anyone there yet). I said no it was for my second person and she was like too bad. I paid for my beer and left since there was no way to watch football now for me and my second at the high top. Lousy customer service! Who takes a chair from the back area? You need to plan ahead! Shoutout to the nice bartender who served me my beer though. read more

Im a stickler for quality customer service and the service at this place was literally killing me. The service was so spotty. One minute she was great and the next minute we couldn't find her. Our second round of drinks (espresso martinis) were not even drinkable. We informed our waitress, who sent the bartender out. She was extremely rude and questioned us instead of just remaking them. She was so loud everyone was looking at us and when she went back inside others around us commented on her behavior. We obviously did not stay for round 3. This will be my first and last time visiting. read more

This is a great Michigan bar for sporting events. The beer is average price considering New York context. The food can be rather hit or miss in my opinion. Don't expect a fine dining brunch experience, but for some classic bar pub dinning this place is top knotch. The service was excellent and the waitress we had kept to us well. I reached out to host a work gathering early in December and the owner couldn't have been more helpful, professional and kind. Everyone had so much fun! The value to host a party is so good for Manhattan. The alcohol selection is great. The bartenders know how to make whatever cocktail you want. The boneless wings were SO GOOD! Made with real white meat and when you think of bar food it's not always great quality but this exceeded expectations. The vibe of the bar was great. I went to this place to try out the happy hour and I asked the bartender Joshua what was on the happy hour, he told me that the margaritas, the well cocktails and beers, when I ask for the for the check I noticed that there was and extra charge for each drink of $3.00, then I asked him why was that he said that it was in bigger glass and there was more liquor in it which I didn't ask him for, but also noticed that those are the glasses he serve all the drinks, he should have said that those drinks were more expensive than the happy hour so this place is not a good and honest bar to go to, do not recommend it to anyone. read more

Visited this bar today for lunch server Mary was very rude and unprofessional.. I simple asked her if I can switched a drink she made super sweet to something else she got snappy with me that's not how you treat customers I come to this place frequently and this is by far the worst experience I've ever had .. I then was about to order a drink before I can do so she already brought my bill before I even order a drink or asked for my bill.. I've visited Blue Haven a few times, and it's a lively sports bar that's perfect for college football and NFL fans. The atmosphere is energetic, especially during game days when the place gets packed. It's an excellent spot to hang out with friends, and the service is consistently solid. The crowd is on the younger side. The food is great, and I highly recommend trying the buffalo chicken wrap paired with waffle fries - it's absolutely delicious!
