BHE absolutely nailed our corporate happy hour. The nachos were amazing, the service was outstanding, but the regulars were what truly made the night special. They welcomed our group like we were part of the family and turned a typical work event into a genuinely memorable night. Great food, great people, and an even better atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

We came here on a Sunday to watch football. Our waitress was very sweet at first, but we never received menus. We ordered Buffalo wings, chicken fingers, and fries. When the chicken fingers arrived, they turned out to be breaded chicken cutlets -- heavy breading, little to no seasoning, and nothing like what you'd expect when ordering "chicken fingers." We asked to speak to a manager, explained that we never received menus, and politely requested to send the dish back. Instead of trying to resolve the situation, the manager insisted that there was a photo on the menu (which we never got) and told us there was nothing she could do. She kept repeating how "high quality" the meat was rather than addressing the issue. We took one bite before realizing it wasn't what we expected, and I've never been to a restaurant that refuses to take back an untouched dish under those circumstances. It would be one thing if we had eaten the whole plate and then complained, but that wasn't the case. Overall, the food was disappointing, and the management's attitude was unprofessional. I've never been treated this poorly at a restaurant.

Rugby Soccer Football Basketball Cricket If it's not on ask and they'll find it. Ladies if you're not in the mood to eat a snack you can snack your eyes on Josh (BackBar) He's so delish!

Went last Sunday to watch football! The nachos were HUGEEEE and delicious. Was not a huge fan of the buffalo boneless wings, they were a little dry. Loved the ambience, I would go back to watch any kind of sports.

Let me tell you I had some awesome service from Megan and awesome food. I was on a first date. My date chose the location. It was a great choice. I'll be back, just without the date. The chicken and gravy was so amazingly good. The gravy had sausage in it. The chicken was on top of a flaky biscuit with a fried gooey egg. Fried cauliflower was in a zesty sweet sauce. I was licking my fingers. I highly recommend this place and sit in Megan's station as she was very attentive and personable.

Service is inattentive and rude. Don't be a bartender if you get upset when someone asks for a drink.

Surrounding TVs keep every play, fight and miracle replayed in glorious surround-sass while wooden tables beg for pitchers, pretzels and conspiracy theories about the ref. Whether you're upstairs for the 3rd floor vibe, mid-level for the perfect sightline, or down in the cozy den with the best acoustics, this is New York sports bar energy: loud, a little brazen, impossibly welcoming. One particular bartender, Delaney not only brings an awesome level of energy to the bar, she saunters in like a halftime show -- a grin that's equal parts mischief and welcome. She's all quick elbows and quicker comebacks, the kind of bartender who remembers your name, your drink, and that one ridiculous story you told months ago. Her laugh is loud, her wink is devious, and she has a way of making first-timers feel like regulars by the second round. Behind the wooden bar she's choreography: expert pours, theatrical muddles, and a flourish that makes every order feel curated. Delaney's drinks are personality-packed, with her behind the bar, the place doesn't just serve drinks -- it gets its personality back. It's a place off 8th ave where fitness meets fun, and every corner feels like home--complete with friendly staff who know your name (or at least your size) and are always ready to offer a witty comeback or a perfect recommendation. Cheers!

We reserved for a quick bite at Redeye Grill before catching Dog Day Afternoon on Broadway, but as soon as we walked up, some bouncer told us they were closed for a private wedding reception. We were dazed and confused because how was I able to reserve online? But the real plot twist was that it ended up being the best thing that happened. We actually stumbled into Tanner Smith's thinking it'd be the typical, boring bar-food spot. Nope. They first sat us at a hi-top by the door, but that wasn't our vibe, so we grabbed seats at the bar instead. Best decision. Our bartender, Josiah, was absolutely killing it. My cocktail had passion fruit, so of course I asked my usual question: "But is it real passion fruit?" He just nodded in agreement and that told me everything I needed to know. That drink was legit and had nice strength. The food was great too. My fish tacos were packed with fresh fish, the guacamole and salsa were chunky and full of flavor and hubs enjoyed his pastrami sandwich. I have no clue when we'll be back in Midtown, but one thing's for sure- we're sitting with Josiah again.

Both dishes were great and filling. The cauliflower had a lot of bold flavors! The onion ring on top of the Mac and cheese was a nice touch. I couldn't really taste the truffle but I would still order the dish again.

Two-part, proper settle, tight dome, no rushing it. That's rarer than it should be in Midtown where half the bars treat a stout like a lager. Whoever's behind the bar here has been trained or grew up around it. Food's better than a second-floor pub between 5th and 6th has any right to be. The JRB burger comes on a house-ground patty (they grind in-house, and you can tell, loose texture, actual seasoning), caramelized onions cooked down all the way, not just softened, good cheese pull. Fried pickles on the side had a crisp cornmeal shell and stayed crunchy under the burger juices, which never happens. Buttermilk chicken salad was the surprise. Chicken actually brined, crust stayed on, greens weren't an afterthought. Only real knock: music was loud. Not sports-bar loud, more like the bartender's playlist got away from him. Fine at the bar, harder at a table if you want to talk. Room's got real bones. Reclaimed barn wood, old rail track as a foot rest, that big 45-star flag on the wall. Been here almost 20 years and it's aged into itself. For the neighborhood the pricing's fair. Beats P.J. Clarke's on the burger, loses on quiet. Go for a beer and a burger, not a date.
