What an absolute hidden gem in Arnold. We have been coming up to Blue Lake Springs for over 20 years and have never eaten here. We had a wonderful experience tonight. My son said it was the best hamburger he's ever had in his entire life and as a 16-year-old he is quite the hamburger connoisseur. The fillet with the béarnaise sauce and the roasted broccolini was absolutely out of this world. The desserts were fresh, flavorful and works of art. We would highly recommend the restaurant inside and outside. Seating is absolutely fantastic. read more

Dinner was wonderful at our Snowflake Lodge Restaurant. We enjoyed the vegetable terrine (added chicken), chicken Parmesian, and Mac n' cheese filled with lots of lobster! The place was packed and we were happy to have a table and enjoy our wine (no corkage fee). I love BLS! read more

Thank you so much for a lovely dinner!! It is always a joy to eat here. We got the Ribeye steak (well done) and the chicken risotto, plus the orange/beet salad, and then the creme brûlée. Delicious meal. Fantastic service from Karen, as always. So warm and friendly, lots of positive energy and kindness. This restaurant is always welcoming, no pretentiousness. Our servers checked up on us regularly asking if we would like water or more fresh bread (Karen even offered us freshly baked bread right out of the oven, amazing!). We brought a bottle of wine with us and they offered to get us a cooler. Very considerate! Thank you. The beet/orange salad was mouth-watering - beets were huge and full of flavor. A very nice, tart vinaigrette complimented the sweetness of the beets. The steak was huge and a topped with thick slices of cooked mushrooms. The carrots were fresh, flavored lightly with parsley. The chicken risotto was creamy without being overwhelming/heavy. Thank you so much for this great dinner. Cute little country club in Arnold, specifically in Blue Lake Springs. You could only go to the pool or lake if you were a member or were invited by a member. I loved going to the pool and lake here during the summer with friends. I remember one day there was a threat of lightning storms so the lifeguards made everyone leave the pool stat! Kind of scary but nothing ever happened. I also had my senior ball here which was a blast! Snow Flake Lodge has a restaurant too and it is pretty good. I also like the snack bar when down by the pool. Yay nachos! ;) read more

Had reservations this evening to eat dinner at Snowflake Lodge Restaurant. Waitress took 15 minutes to attend the table and when she did, she mentioned they were out of several main entrees and appetizers. Very disappointing, as we were looking forward to a great dinner. read more

Over the last few weeks, I've had the tacos, Special craft burger, and house made desserts. Let's just say that I'm a new regular. It's so nice to see small restaurants rebound after COVID. This is the case here. New manager, wonderful serve staff, and the best chefs around are ready to rock this summer of 2022 with their talent and culinary delights. BYOB! OUR OWN WINE WITHOUT CORKAGE! We've been coming to Blue Lake Springs for decades and this is the first time in the restaurant. We had reservations for a small group and everything was set. The place itself is modern and spacious with outdoor seating if you want. We ate indoors since we didn't want to get eaten by the bugs or share dinner with the bats. Anyway, the meal was very nice. We had the "Mystery" meal and of course you can decide if you want it. Basically it's the chef's special that's not printed up but of good value. We had the salmon dinner that came with salad and dessert. The salmon was fresh and nicely seasoned along with mashed potatoes and vegetables. Our friends had the filets and the kids had the pizza. Everything was nicely presented and tasty. The service is professional. We were greeted by the hostess and seated right away. The waitress was really nice and took time to explain all the dishes offered, including the Mystery Meal (I think it's a chef's surprise that is priced very well). The ambiance is modern and not packed. The kitchen is able to prepare the individual plates within a reasonable amount of time and presentation is excellent. The free sodas is a help yourself bar. This was a hit for the kids. Bringing your own wine was also a bonus. Other patrons brought hard liquor and beer. Who would have known? Overall, it was a great to have a very nice meal in a very nicely appointed dining room with very nice staff. Like I said before, coming here for over the decades and I thought this place was a secret clubhouse for seniors with the special handshake to get in. WRONG! It's open to the public at BLS (need to give the lot number or address) and you don't have to show any special cards, except a credit card at the end of the meal. read more

Nice restaurant...they could do a much better job advertising and letting the visitors to Blue Lake Springs know they're there. Try some better signage, and perhaps have a little sample table by the pool after lunch...works for Costco! The food was well above average. My wife raved about her scallops, "better than I've had in SF and Seattle!". I like the concept of the "mystery dinner". It was pasta Alfredo with chicken on my visit. Sauce was a bit thin, and they used spaghetti instead of fettuccini, but still a good value. I also like that you can bring your own wine...not sure if they even charge a corkage fee. I'll definitely return to the Snowflake Lodge. read more

The Snowflake Lodge Restaurant is a restaurant that is a part of the Blue Lake Springs Homeowner's Association. The restaurant is available to people who live in the area and are member's of this association, and I THINK you have to be a member in order to eat here. But I may be wrong. Anyhow, last week we took a two day trip to the snow, and my best friend's family owns a cabin in the Blue Lake Springs area. So for dinner one night, we went to the Snowflake Lodge for dinner, which is literally a four block drive away. The Snowflake Lodge is an older style small house. When you first walk in, there is a bar and lounge area. This area is pretty neat since they offer complimentary drinks and snacks. When we came here, they had cheese and fruit. Another cool thing is that the bar area is all self serve, so I felt like a bartender going back there and getting my own drinks! ANOTHER cool thing is, you can bring your own wine into this restaurant, with no corkage fee. The dining room area is unique - it has a very low ceiling, I would estimate about 7 to 7.5 feet high, since it was built in the older days. The menu here is very simple, but the food is really good. I had the mixed greens salad which was simple, but absolutely delicious. For my dinner, I had the Mahi and Prawns Brochette, which consisted of a couple of pieces of Mahi Mahi and Prawns strewn on a skewer along with bell peppers and onions. The dish was also accompanied with a squash spaghetti (which was soooo yummy - it was pretty much stringy squash made to look like spaghetti) and steamed vegetables. All of the components to this dish were very good, and I enjoyed the dinner very much. Since this restaurant is for the homeowner's, I am not sure if many people will get to try it, but if for any reason you're in the area, check it out! read more

Dinner was great! We had the Prime Rib, cooked to perfection. Cesar salad, baked potato and green beans; "delicious". I don't quite understand having to get your own soda's?? Which are limited to Sprite and coke. Ice tea would be a nice option. When making the reservation; we should have told to bring our own alcohol or explained it isn't served. We'll definitely go back, but we're bringing wine! read more

Absolutely love going to Snowflake Lodge. The Chef, staff and service are all outstanding. We have been visiting the restaurant for well over 20 years and it has never disappointed. They all make you feel at home and part of their family. Karen makes killer deserts. They also have a nice bar area where in the winter the fireplace is on and it fills so cozy. read more

As mentioned by others, you do need to be a guest or member of the BLS homeowners association, but if you are, this is a great place for dinner. Check their hours, they are only open Fridays and Saturdays for dinner and for some holidays. Karen makes delicious desserts, so be sure to leave room at the end of your meal! There is no corkage fees, so bring your favorite wine, or other adult beverage. Reservations aren't required, but are recommended if you want a window or fireside seat. They do have a special of the day, and the menu varies with the seasons, so check online to see the offerings, and look for the mystery meal. read more

If you get the chance to come here I recommend it. You do have to be a member or guest of the HOA to eat here. I've eaten here 5 or 6 times and never been disappointed. The food is excellently prepared, delicious, and a good value for the price. The servers are usually good, you might get a high school student or a retiree, but they are all cool. The best part is you can bring your own booze. They don't have a liquor license, so they can't serve it or charge corkage. There is a lounge area with glasses, ice, and a soda gun. Come early and have your own cocktail hour for free, then enjoy as much wine as you bring. Always amazes me how low the bill is when no alcohol is on it. read more
