Was hanging with the fellas at Blue Martini while in town visiting. Every now and then you have to and deserve to let loose and have a great evening, (well night LOL out with the Boyz). The bartender drinks were on point and not watered down but a lil pricy. Service was nice and prompt with an upbeat attitude. The live band was great!!! First timer here. I love martinis so just by the name you'd think I would have been here before. My thought " better late that never". I was fortunate to be here during happy hour because good tinis ain't cheap. All martinis half priced. I decided to go out of my usual filthy, dirty martinis and give the strawberry basil tini a try. So glad I did. It was delicious. Warning: You will need a DD. These are not for the weak of heart. Since I needed some food on my belly I had the marinated beef tenderloins with a bed of greens with two different sauces. I loved the horseradish sauce. It complemented the beef well. It was cooked to perfection. So if you're looking for a cool spot to stop for happy hour I highly suggest Blue Martini. read more

I wish there was a zero star option, so I'll have to settle for the one star. A few of us guys walked over to this spot for drinks last night after having cigars at Torch. When we walked up to the hostess, she asked for a $10 cover charge which is what it is, but free for women. Where's the mens equity? That wasn't the problem. The problem was when another girl walked over and told us we weren't allowed in with ball caps even though I've been there plenty of times with my ball cap. We still said "no problem. We'll go put the hats in the car and come back." We counted an easy 5 people with ball caps in the patio as we were walking towards our cars. One of my friend decided to go back and ask why he wasn't allowed to wear a hat when he's pointing out all the others wearing a hat inside. The girl had no answer. Then this young chubby guy saying he's the manager starts screaming at my friend and calling him a scumbag and a son of a b#%*ch. my friend then got a bit loud and the cops walked by, so we decided to just leave. We don't know who this young punk manager is, but we're staying away from this cocky little punk until the owners realize he's hurting their business and fire him. There was no reason to escalade the situation if this place had a qualified manager with communication skills. Some people reading this might think the customers probably provoked the manager, I used used to own restaurants when I lived outside of Arizona and I know never to escalate a customer who wants to bring up an issue. The manager is the person that needs to bring the customer and the restaurant to an understanding. Not swearing and screaming at them soon as we start talking to him. People like that should manage a place like that if they have low self esteem and a big ego. read more

Would give negative stars if I could. I don't understand how this place is still in business, my friend and I were both drugged here. Brought it to both Blue Martini's attention and the police and have heard crickets. I understand this kind of thing happens, but after researching more and talking to MANY other women who have had this experience I think its safe to say that this is not a place that cares about the wellbeing of their customers nor will do anything to help. My wife called and asked specifically if dancing was permitted and thye told her that table side dancing is ok. So we made a reservation (by promising to spend a minimum of $100 for the reservation for two people), arrived by 7pm and was seated at a small but nicely located table two rows back from the stage where the soon to arrive band would be playing. So far so good. We were hungry so we checked the menu out and ordered the Bewf tenderloin and the chicken tenders along with a shrimp cocktail. The entries were good but came with no sides. No problem... we just came to dance anyway. So far so good not great but good. Shortly after finishing dinner the band began to play and although they're not the greatest, they were good enough to dance to so my wife started dancing next to our table and beckoned me to dance with her. So I started dancing with her and we were starting to actually have some fun. Suddenly a small thin man with a mask the size of Texas came up and said "you have to stay next to your table when dancing" so I said (pointing to the table right next to us) that is our table. And his answer was but you have to stay next to it. Since I was literally touching it I again asked "you mean THIS table right and he repeated in a very condescending tone you have to staynext to your table." So now I'm quite confused, and so I asked two other floor men where the boundaries were: one told me "don't give me your asshole bullshit and the other said he could not explain it but if I did not understand I could jout leave"... all the while everyone else in the place was carrying on in some way or another either dancing or picking up prostitutes. Bottom line... if you want a great dinner go across the street to Hulu but if your looking for a prostitute hangout try the blue martini but do not trust any of the rules they tell you. read more

I visited AZ for two weeks and ended up at this place twice. On both occasions, I met a lovely lady ready for a little less talk and a lot more action. Don't be fooled by the rumors and the big boobs on the phony airheaded bartenders. There are real woman in this place on any Friday/Saturday night that are ready to go! I went for Restaurant Week just AWFUL. First we were told we can only sit an hour and no longer than an hour 1/2. Then we were asked if we wanted to run a tab or pay as we go, of which we kept being reminded. Then we all selected filet mignon, which we were served a tough piece of chuck roast, that was NOT filet mignon. I returned mine and opted for the chicken skewers. The waitress was Jamaican and very stern and abrupt with her instructions, but I didn't blame her I blamed management. Best spot to kick it on a Sunday night. I loved the band and the staff provided good service. Very attractive staff. I wasn't happy about being carded especially when i am well over 40. I consider it petty. Please watch out for water on the floor i almost slipped 2x. I felt the cops hired with low key racist and rude. Consider hiring Black cops for Sunday nights. Avoid! Locals and staff write good reviews. Our good conscience won't let us lie to ya. Beautiful surroundings only put lipstick on a pig. We have visited many times over the years. We would go to fushia spa then hang at Blue Martini. But we have seen unexplained people rolled by the security staff, never thinking as elderly people we would be eventually drugged, removed robbed and rolled by the security. The manager and owner say tell us what happened and asked us to tell what happened! Then all we get is sorry. Read other reviews that are similar. Management and owners pay lip service. There's a reason for free drinks for young ladies. Be safe. read more

Strawberry basil martini for the win! I've also had the Bellini which is just as amazing. I love this place. The food here is meh-pretty expensive and not much to it. So I typically only come here for drinks-not food. The martinis run about 13-16 dollars a piece, so it is pretty pricey but worth it! I will say that there is a strange crowd that gathers here-mostly older couples/singles. But everyone is so friendly and accepting that it's a fun place to hangout no matter what your age is! On weekends, they have bands or DJs later in the night. There's a nice dance floor and people usually aren't shy about getting out there and breaking it down! On top of that, they have a Groupon right now! You can't beat that. Go try it out without feeling guilty about spending too much money. It's on a road full of bars/restaurants so the good news is that even if you try it out and hate it, you can just hop down the road to another spot! read more

Definitely recommend checking out their Happy hour. We found this upon arriving in Phoenix to visit some friends for the weekend. Definitely our kind of place and we were not disappointed. Loved that they had a very nice selection of food and drinks for happy hour. They also had live music on the patio. Service was great...we had Jenna and she took fantastic care of us. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. I'm sure during the weekend evenings, this can get quite crazy. I had the cucumber martini with vodka as well as the strawberry basil vodka martini. Strawberry basil was a little sweet for my tastes but still yummy. The cucumber was a home run! We tried the crab dip and sliders and they were great. The table next to us had the lobster tacos...looked yummy but we were headed to another place for dinner reservations so we had to pass this time. Would definitely do it next time though. Dropped in on a Saturday night about 6 only to find that happy hour was good till 7... we'll call that just great timing. For drinks We had the Cosmo, the perfect pear that one was just right not too sweet at all, oh and the Masterpiece Bleu martini wow just pure unfiltered Belvedere Vodka. It was so smooth I could have sworn it had something else in it besides the bleu cheese olives. All of the martinis were perfect. Hence the name Blue Martini right! For appetizers we had the shrimp which was delicious however there was only four shrimp we were told their were six, well And to top it off not quite enough sauce for all four shrimp to have a small dab of cocktail sauce. That was a bummer... Well we also had the Beef Tenderloin flatbread which was delicious . That was definitely a good thing. Terrible service. We got seated at 7:45 and it is currently 8:13 and we are leaving because no one came to serve us. My grandmother went up to a server and asked if we needed to order at a bar or if we get a server, and she said a server will come around. My grandmother went to the bathroom and by the time she came back, no one was there. We got up to leave since no one came and we told the hostess and she was leaning over on her phone and all she said was "sorry" with no sympathy or anything. It's my last night with my grandmother before she goes back to Iowa and all we wanted to do was enjoy a nice martini. I went there to see my friend sing in his band and I was enjoying myself until I was cut by a piece of glass that was on the ground and found its way into my shoe. Two waitresses and a waiter brought me a few bandaids but didn't show any concern about me bleeding on the floor. It took the manager over 30 min to come speak to me. His excuse for taking so long was that it was a busy night. Regardless of how busy it was I believe a customer who was bleeding should have been his first priority. When he finally came to my table he showed very little concern about how I was and had the nerve to tell me i needed to wear shoes in the bar. Are you kidding me? You think I'm walking around the bar without shoes?! He was rude and didn't apologize once. He was only there to cover his ass. Delicious drinks! Try the cereal drinks and the lychee martini, both delicious. These drinks IS STRONG! and I love it! Came in with a group of 4, ordered around 3-4 drinks a person and had a blast! The drinks are overpriced as well, even for lady's night when they're half-off. Table of four with three alcoholic drinks and three dinners was nearly $90... with two of those drinks half-price! Also, the service was slow and very confused...and it was a slow night! We had to ask a server to come and order the drinks after 5 minutes of waiting. Same thing again when we wanted the check. She didn't inform us they were out of lobster until we tried to order the lobster taco and she didn't automatically reduce the lady's night drinks and had us review the check for accuracy with her there. Absolute rookie. And like a lot of the other reviews, the in-house cover band was too loud to be able to converse with anyone at the table. The music they had on before the band was better and at a more reasonable volume. This bar/grill is very confusing in terms of demographics. Are you a night club for twenty somethings who want to drink and dance? It's too expensive and the music sucked. Are you catering to the older, wealthier Scottsdale crowd? I swear my mojito tasted more like a bag of sugar. The bartenders are pretentious snobs that'll stare at you for a while before they decide to wait on you. Given there was one that was cool. The guy with the ponytail is antisocial and shouldn't be working there. No one was ordering a drink and you ignored me 5 times. The DJ is insufferable.
