I had a very pleasant experience. The place looks and feels very clean, enough space to feel comfortable between clients. The changing back room could be better and more private, but it was ok. Wendy took care of me, she was very polite, respectful and did a great job with everything. The facial was so good, the face massage was my favorite, hair treatment was good, very relaxing but the water ring water pressure could be stronger, I was expecting a little more but it was just ok, they use like a scalp massager that was amazing!!! Face oils, massage and skin cleansing was so relaxing, neck and shoulder massage was very good as well. I was gifted the platinum package and left with a shiny and clean hair, with a very soft and hydrated skin and happy with the blow dry as well. I hope they offer a good deal soon so I can take my daughter and sisters.

I've been trying out different head spas over the past couple years both on my own and with friend recommendations. This is one I visited last month on a whim based on location as I was in the area. To date, and at least 5-6 head spas later, this was hands down the best experience!!! I made an appointment the day before. The reservation has a deposit (like every other one I've been to). Balance is paid upon arrival. I was asked if i would like pictures and to not only feel the experience, i was curious visually as well,, so of course i said yes. This one was so different and hands down the most relaxing. Not only was it nicely decorated and inviting just walking in, the session matched in energy and warmth. Ivy was amazing! She took such great care of me and provided wonderful pictures so I saw what happened behind the scenes while I was relaxing. The experience had so many different elements, for the first time, I wasn't getting bored. This is the one I plan to go back to. This experience was worth the price.

I treated my mom to a head spa for a gift and we absolutely loved it. The whole spa was spacious and very clean. I loved how there are so many different tiers to choose from. We were serviced right away and the whole experience was so relaxing. We got changed to our robes and slippers and spent the morning feeling so calm and relaxed. When we left, our head and hair felt amazing! This is a really good place to treat someone or have a girls day since they have multiple stations.

What a treat and what a surprise for me! We did a sister day at Blue Moon Head Spa to celebrate my birthday. I had no idea a place like this existed. It was a nice and relaxing head massage and shampoo. I loved the hair shower gadget. They give you a cute strapless top, robes and slippers to wear. Overall, it was a good experience. There are several lay down beds for where the head messages and shampoos take place. Located at the very back of the shop is seating to accommodate four blow dryings at at time. In the same area are lockers , one dressing room and one bathroom to change. On the Saturday we were there, it was packed and really cramped to move around. They push a lot to review . . . this bothers me a bit. A place worth reviewing doesn't need to push for reviews. Anyway, if you are in need of some calming rest and relaxation, Blue Moon Head Spa is worthwhile. Probably best to go during the week to avoid the crowds.

OMG this place is amazing! Literally it is a deep tissue massage for the scalp and face including neck and shoulders. I made a reservation for the Platinum Package and it was worth each penny. 1 hour and a half of oils, moisturizers everything to massage the scalp and face. The fresh look and feeling is amazing. You check in the place and you get a robe and like a tube dress. Then you go to your station. My therapist was Helen, she was amazing!! Next time I will request her again. She even anticipated that I would want pics and video of my experience that she gave me at the end of my session. Place is small, clean and is in a shopping with lots of parking.

Who doesn't love a head massages? What a nice way to spend an hour. Grianne gave me an enjoyable relaxing massage. We did a sister day for one of our birthdays. Loved it! The only down is the space in this tiny place. It was a bit crowded with clients set up back to back. Not much room to move in the back. We couldn't really freshen up before heading to lunch. But still enjoyed the experience.

This place was amazing! My friends and I came for the silver package. We thought we could walk in, but it was busy! We were able to go 3 hours later and enjoyed our experience. I did the Christmas Special and it included everything in their diamond package and some extras. I can never do another head spa again. This was the best head spa experience i have had. Very clean, calm and smells relaxing. This package makes you feel so relaxed and melts away so much stress. The shoulder and upper body massage was superb. Now i need to bring my mom and mother in law for a treat. Staff are welcoming and polite. They give you a robe. Even have sizes for us plus size gals. They use Dyson hair dryers and was super impressed how quiet and efficient they are.

Went here on Wednesday with my wife for her birthday, our experience from beginning to end was extremely positive, the front desk offered a quick check of our scalps to see if and what services we would like. We both went with the diamond package and Amanda was the technician to help me out. She did an amazing job treating my hair, scalp, and face, in addition to the neck and shoulder massage. Fortunately we were the only ones in for the 2-hours we were here so the atmosphere was very comforting and soothing. Both Amanda and Alyssa get a 5-stars from us. Definitely will be back. I was really looking forward to my head spa treatment, but the experience was quite disappointing. After the session, my hair felt sticky, gooey, and stiff--almost like the product hadn't been rinsed out properly. The technician, Grainne didn't wash my hair thoroughly. To make things worse, my hair was badly tangled and still looked and felt unpleasant even after a few washes at home. Instead of feeling refreshed and clean, my scalp and hair felt weighed down and messy. This is not what I expected from a professional spa service. I hope the salon takes this feedback seriously and ensures better rinsing and aftercare in the future. I also got the top service, the dimond package. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. read more

Came here for a girls day and it was incredible and more than what I had hoped for. We all went for the Gold Package and the massage, facial and scalp treatments were sooo relaxing. My lady, Joanna, had the perfect pressure. (I like fIrm pressure!) She smoothly transitioned between all the treatments and I felt like i was in heaven and did not want it to end. When she was finished and blowing out my hair, we had a nice snack with water, a clementine and some cookies :) Thank you for such a great experience- we'll definitely be back!!! I researched a lot of places before I decided on this place. But the first few pictures on this site are deceiving the place is actually quite small. The changing room is tiny, and the area where they do your hair is close that if you open your cubby you might hit the stylist in the back. On e they seat you if you're at the far end you hear all the dryer noise and if you get the first seat you hear everyone coming in so it's not very relaxing. The actual massage and service was great, and Mimi did a great job, but I don't think I'd go back, I'd probably pick a place that's a little bigger. read more

My partner and I booked two diamond packages to treat ourselves for the day. We drove out an hour from our hometown to visit this spa. It was nice! Definitely a great way to spoil yourself and focus on some self-care! I can't quite give it five stars for a few reasons: 1. The space - we went on a Monday (late morning) so luckily it wasn't quite as busy as I imagine it can get, but even then the space felt tight and crammed. From the lobby/check in area (although aesthetically cute and inviting) to the spa stations and blow dry area, I can't imagine how small the space would feel if all stations are in use. It's well taken care of, clean and smells great but may not be as tranquil as you'd like it to be on a busy day. I recommend you book on a weekday if you want to maximize your experience! 2. My technician. I'm pretty easy to please and can fall into relaxation quite easily, but my technician made my experience a little less than desirable. While I still enjoyed my service, I couldn't help but notice she felt rushed, a bit aggressive and was on her phone quite a few times in the middle of my service. My partner's technician was a gem! He said she was gentle, attentive and made the whole experience great. I would return to her but not to the one I got. 3. I'm pretty sure we were supposed to get a foot massage included with our diamond package, but that didn't happen. We were on a time crunch once service was complete but my husband said they mentioned in over the phone and even the receptionist asked if we got the foot massage (to which we answered no) and she looked confused but didn't confirm or deny whether we were supposed to get one with our service. My husband told me after our visit so I didn't know this information in advance, otherwise I would have asked the receptionist then. Ultimately, not a big deal but if it was included in the price then I'd expect it. If a spa like this doesn't open up near my hometown, I'd visit again but overall would love to find somewhere where service feels more private and like a retreat. Great concept, seems like most techs are doing a great job and the receptionist was nice & welcoming! read more

I have never had a head spa before but I was guided gently and thoughtfully through the experience. The service including exfoliating scrubs, head and neck massages, aromatherapy, and much more. Blue Moon Head Spa would get 10 stars if I could. My husband booked the Diamond package for me as our 3rd year wedding anniversary gift. As soon as I walked in I felt I had transferred into another dimension. The ambiance was beautiful, the music was soft and relaxing. My technician Ruby was AMAZING! I fell asleep 5 or 6 times during her session because she was just so gentle and soothing. I feel like I walked in 100% stressed, feeling like I've got a million things on my mind thinking "How in the world was I going to relax?" This is my honest and heartfelt review. I've been going to a head spa in the city of Artesia, near Cerritos Mall, for the past couple of years, and I always thought their service was good. I was happy with the scalp treatments, facials, and neck and shoulder massages I received. Everything was great. However, today--Saturday, December 28--I tried to make an appointment at my usual spot, but they were fully booked. While searching online, I came across Blue Moon Head Spa. I looked through their pictures and saw that the place looked exceptionally clean, so I decided to give it a try. I booked an appointment online and drove about 20 minutes to get there. Let me tell you--WOW! I swear, if I could give this place 10 stars, I absolutely would. From the moment I walked in, the receptionist was exceptionally kind, welcoming, and professional. She had a beautiful smile and was so gentle. She handed me my robe, and shortly after, I was greeted by a very nice and professional therapist named Jenny. I had booked a 70-minute appointment (an hour and 10 minutes). Jenny took her time, and by the time I woke up, she had spent over an hour and a half working on my neck, shoulders, and scalp treatment. I am beyond pleased and happy with the experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for top-quality service and care. They have absolutely earned my business for life! read more

I noticed a lot of a younger crowd here (early 20s) - good for them prioritizing their wellness - I guess price point works for them too. And sadly maybe a lot of then, they do not know what is good versus atrocious. But, this is a place where one could leave with some serious skin and/or health issue, it is that bad. i was with MDs here. never again. i had 4 services here and each one was SO terrible (too chatty, bad services. it was painful all around). i found the slippers, towels, robes, showers - even the lockers/seating/walls/toilets/sinks/flooring - NOTHING was clean, just smelly/nasty - much less the amenities and pooled water/all seating. do not waste your money like i did. just YUCK. also why did they have like: zero q-tips, any product, disposable combs - like very basic items any spa always has. like even equinox has this stuff. Also their AC is always broken (we rescheduled twice due to their broken AC - they called us. guess what, we showed up - STILL NO AC it was stifling) so they bring in these loud industrial huge fans. nothing seems/smells clean (say 'green products'...). sadly, so many of the employees sound SO sick with heavy wet coughs/colds. they seem to hate their lives. and there is zero food. lucky to get water if it is not empty. too bad because it could be a nice place if they cleaned, cared, had good services. basic upkeep, and did not let in a gazzilion guests at a time. So much better to pay more at another spa and not contract some serious health issue here. i still tipped well because the employees seem so miserable and overworked/clueless, yet polite. but i want to warn others - do not repeat my mistake by going here (even if someone sends you for free, get a refund, or try a different location).

Booking was easy on the website and all their services have a good description to determine what best fits your needs. I had to reschedule my initial appointment, and for that you need to call in. They send you a text reminder, and you must cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment to avoid a fee. One special thing to note is if you book a service that's at least an hour, you receive a complimentary foot soak as long if you arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment. This was a nice touch. When I arrived, Cristina, from the front desk walked me to their quiet room, which has the ultimate relaxation vibes. She was amazing! She had my foot soak ready to go, along with a heated neck wrap and a blanket. On top of that, she made me a delicious vanilla chamomile tea, accompanied by a chocolate. A literal pampering angel. My facial was done by Chasity. She was also so nice and she gave me plenty of time to change and get comfortable in the spa bed. She listened to my skin concerns and tailored the products for my face. Throughout my appointment, she explained each step of the facial. At one point I was so relaxed, I fell asleep. When she worked on my neck, the pressure was extremely intense and she squeezed so hard that it honestly made me feel worried something might get injured. Another issue was that when the massage oil dried up, very little was reapplied, so there was a lot of uncomfortable friction during parts of the massage. Unfortunately, I left feeling more sore and in more pain than before, which was really disappointing since I was hoping to feel relaxed and relieved afterward. * FYI - The massage therapist I had on 3/7/26 had black, kind of frizzy hair, and wore a light grey sweatshirt and sweatpants with black sandals. I recently visited Blue Moon Head Spa and had a Platinum spa session with Jenny -- she was absolutely phenomenal. Her touch was incredibly gentle, and she stayed communicative throughout the experience, making sure my needs were met. Truly a gem of a masseuse and one of the highlights of my visit. However, in terms of atmosphere and overall experience, I did leave feeling a little underwhelmed. Given how highly raved about this place is on social media, my expectations were definitely higher. One of the bigger issues was the water temperature fluctuating from hot to cold, which was quite jarring and took away from the relaxation I was hoping for. Another major concern was being placed in a shared room with a complete stranger, who continued to talk about their own needs throughout the session. It was distracting and made it hard to fully relax. Additionally, the space isn't fully enclosed -- just separated by curtains -- so outside noise, including the sound of blow dryers and staff, filtered in and disrupted the peaceful environment. While the massage itself was wonderful and Jenny did an amazing job, the relaxation aspect -- which is such a big part of why we take the time (and spend the money) to visit places like this -- just wasn't fully there for me. Overall, good service but improvements could definitely be made to the atmosphere for a truly relaxing experience. read more

The spa location may be in a strip mall in Orange, but when you get inside, it feels like a high end spa/salon. The decorum and demeanor of those providing the services (and at the front desk) is top-notch. It feels like the management is very hands-on and assures all the services are great. I did my research before selecting a head spa. I booked the Diamond treatment at Blue Moon for my daughter and I. We both loved it so much. It is hard to pick our favorite part. Each was better than the last. Treat yourself and ask for Helen. She was fabulous. Very kind, attentive and caring. My daughter loved Anna too which seems like a really good sign about consistency. We can't wait to go back. One comment: the wedge for under your knees should be three times as big/tall. I asked for two but keeping them on top of each other was hard. After receiving your robe you are taken to the next area to change. The entire area was super relaxing with other customers getting their treatment. The hot stone massage kind of caught me by surprised when the heat kept increasing, but Wendy would reassure me and would lightly tap it on my skin so I would get used to it. Wendy was very nice and noticed it was first time doing anything like this. She also has soft hands for neck, shoulder, and temple massage purposes and lengthy nails for scalp massaging. Oh my gawd, ask for Amy as a tech, she was amazing! This was the best spa service I've ever had. The exterior is unassuming but after you get settled on the head spa bed and they start the treatment you are whisked away into wonderland. The service was incredible, I got the Gold package and added the facial, massage, hair loss treatment, exfoliation and after the hair drying a hair do. It was one of the best experiences. My visit to the head spa was an absolute treat! I came to blue moon right after work and was really looking forward to the experience. The scalp massage was incredibly relaxing, helping to relieve all my tension while improving circulation for all kinds of benefits. The deep cleansing and nourishing treatments left my hair feeling very clean, soft, and smooth.I also got the facial done and my skin has never been softer! Miss Ruby is a magician! I had a wonderful morning with her and had the platinum package. I upgraded from the gold, totally worth it!! I will definitely come back to book another appointment with her soon. The space is cozy and quiet, they really do an excellent job creating a calm and relaxing environmen. I recommend using Zelle or venmo so you don't have to pay card fees or if you pay cash you get a discount as well. A great place for a mother daughter date or even a girls day with your besties. Not too far from the Orange circle for a nice lunch. Try them out! read more
