I had a very pleasant experience. The place looks and feels very clean, enough space to feel comfortable between clients. The changing back room could be better and more private, but it was ok. Wendy took care of me, she was very polite, respectful and did a great job with everything. The facial was so good, the face massage was my favorite, hair treatment was good, very relaxing but the water ring water pressure could be stronger, I was expecting a little more but it was just ok, they use like a scalp massager that was amazing!!! Face oils, massage and skin cleansing was so relaxing, neck and shoulder massage was very good as well. I was gifted the platinum package and left with a shiny and clean hair, with a very soft and hydrated skin and happy with the blow dry as well. I hope they offer a good deal soon so I can take my daughter and sisters.

My friends and I had services done here today as part of a girls' day and we had a great time. We all planned for the Platinum package and it didn't disappoint. We booked our appt for March 14th back in early to mid January. The day before, the spa needed to make a time change for our group and we moved it to one hour later than originally planned. No issues on our end. They communicated it clearly and even added foot massages due to the change. All of the technicians we had were great. I had Ruby and she was fantastic from beginning to end. I would go out of my way to request her again. I was super relaxed and felt very refreshed at the end. There were some guests that were there before us who were very talkative and social while getting their hair dried in the back at the end of their service. Because the space in the back is fully open to where people are getting their treatment it was a bit distracting and harder to relax until they left the spa. It could help if quiet rules were enforced to make sure all patrons at all stages of their service are getting the most peaceful experience throughout. Overall great first head spa experience. I'd be happy to come back!

I've been trying out different head spas over the past couple years both on my own and with friend recommendations. This is one I visited last month on a whim based on location as I was in the area. To date, and at least 5-6 head spas later, this was hands down the best experience!!! I made an appointment the day before. The reservation has a deposit (like every other one I've been to). Balance is paid upon arrival. I was asked if i would like pictures and to not only feel the experience, i was curious visually as well,, so of course i said yes. This one was so different and hands down the most relaxing. Not only was it nicely decorated and inviting just walking in, the session matched in energy and warmth. Ivy was amazing! She took such great care of me and provided wonderful pictures so I saw what happened behind the scenes while I was relaxing. The experience had so many different elements, for the first time, I wasn't getting bored. This is the one I plan to go back to. This experience was worth the price.

I treated my mom to a head spa for a gift and we absolutely loved it. The whole spa was spacious and very clean. I loved how there are so many different tiers to choose from. We were serviced right away and the whole experience was so relaxing. We got changed to our robes and slippers and spent the morning feeling so calm and relaxed. When we left, our head and hair felt amazing! This is a really good place to treat someone or have a girls day since they have multiple stations.

What a treat and what a surprise for me! We did a sister day at Blue Moon Head Spa to celebrate my birthday. I had no idea a place like this existed. It was a nice and relaxing head massage and shampoo. I loved the hair shower gadget. They give you a cute strapless top, robes and slippers to wear. Overall, it was a good experience. There are several lay down beds for where the head messages and shampoos take place. Located at the very back of the shop is seating to accommodate four blow dryings at at time. In the same area are lockers , one dressing room and one bathroom to change. On the Saturday we were there, it was packed and really cramped to move around. They push a lot to review . . . this bothers me a bit. A place worth reviewing doesn't need to push for reviews. Anyway, if you are in need of some calming rest and relaxation, Blue Moon Head Spa is worthwhile. Probably best to go during the week to avoid the crowds.

OMG this place is amazing! Literally it is a deep tissue massage for the scalp and face including neck and shoulders. I made a reservation for the Platinum Package and it was worth each penny. 1 hour and a half of oils, moisturizers everything to massage the scalp and face. The fresh look and feeling is amazing. You check in the place and you get a robe and like a tube dress. Then you go to your station. My therapist was Helen, she was amazing!! Next time I will request her again. She even anticipated that I would want pics and video of my experience that she gave me at the end of my session. Place is small, clean and is in a shopping with lots of parking.

Who doesn't love a head massages? What a nice way to spend an hour. Grianne gave me an enjoyable relaxing massage. We did a sister day for one of our birthdays. Loved it! The only down is the space in this tiny place. It was a bit crowded with clients set up back to back. Not much room to move in the back. We couldn't really freshen up before heading to lunch. But still enjoyed the experience.

I did the Christmas Special and it included everything in their diamond package and some extras. I can never do another head spa again. This was the best head spa experience i have had. Very clean, calm and smells relaxing. This package makes you feel so relaxed and melts away so much stress. The shoulder and upper body massage was superb. Now i need to bring my mom and mother in law for a treat. Staff are welcoming and polite. They give you a robe. Even have sizes for us plus size gals. They use Dyson hair dryers and was super impressed how quiet and efficient they are.

Note: It was during the day at 2 on a weekday. Decided to take the fam to try a head spa since we've never been before. Didn't know what to expect but it was so relaxing. Enjoyed every moment of it that I dozed off a few times. It's clean inside and decorated for the season. The service was great. No complaints. I would return in the future.

I have been wanting to try a head spa for a while, and always see Blue Moon so today on a Friday late afternoon decided to see if they had availability and they did right away. I got the platinum service with hair growth added. Nikky was wonderful, and I left feeling relaxed, pampered and refreshed! The atmosphere inside is calming and the treatment felt wonderful on my scalp, face and skin! The facial part was basic and hydrating, but the scalp massages were the best part imo! My shoulder tension and pain was eased and I'm hoping my hair will get a needed growth boost! And it just feels great to have someone wash your hair and all that! They asked how hard I like being massaged on the intake form and I said firm and Nicky used strong pressure on my scalp pressure points and shoulders! ! I'll be back again for sure and plan to bring my mom for Christmas as a gift! Would make a great gift (especially for yourself as the holidays can be hectic!) payment was super easy with Zelle, Venmo card or Cash all as options and QR codes to make paying even easier. Perfect way to kick off my weekend after a long week! Note: I have professionally dyed pink hair and it did fade my color noticeably BUT I expected that, as every time I wash it there's some fading, so I scheduled my treatment shortly before I'm scheduled for a fresh dye job. My hair feels and looks soft and healthy so I'm not mad about it; but it your hair is dyed plan accordingly!

This is my honest and heartfelt review. I've been going to a head spa in the city of Artesia, near Cerritos Mall, for the past couple of years, and I always thought their service was good. I was happy with the scalp treatments, facials, and neck and shoulder massages I received. Everything was great. However, today--Saturday, December 28--I tried to make an appointment at my usual spot, but they were fully booked. While searching online, I came across Blue Moon Head Spa. I looked through their pictures and saw that the place looked exceptionally clean, so I decided to give it a try. I booked an appointment online and drove about 20 minutes to get there. Let me tell you--WOW! I swear, if I could give this place 10 stars, I absolutely would. From the moment I walked in, the receptionist was exceptionally kind, welcoming, and professional. She had a beautiful smile and was so gentle. She handed me my robe, and shortly after, I was greeted by a very nice and professional therapist named Jenny. I had booked a 70-minute appointment (an hour and 10 minutes). Jenny took her time, and by the time I woke up, she had spent over an hour and a half working on my neck, shoulders, and scalp treatment. I am beyond pleased and happy with the experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for top-quality service and care. They have absolutely earned my business for life! read more

Honestly, this was the best head spa I've ever received!!! I've been to multiple before, and my expectations were never fully met--until now. I came here last minute with my mom, and I absolutely loved my treatment and technician Wendy! I received the Platinum package and it was perfect from start to finish. The spa itself is beautiful--so clean, calming, and thoughtfully designed. The layout instantly puts you at ease, with soft lighting and soothing music that creates the most relaxing environment. From the moment you walk in, you feel like you're in a peaceful sanctuary. My technician goes by Wendy, but her real name is Kim Phan Tran--and she was incredible. So sweet, attentive, and truly the perfect technician. She made me feel comfortable the entire time and paid close attention to every detail. Her gentle touch and calming energy took the whole experience to another level. I'm so glad I ended up in her care! My mom, who's 9 months pregnant, also had a wonderful experience with the Diamond package. She felt so relaxed and pampered--she couldn't stop talking about how soothing and luxurious it was. Came here for a mom's get-a-way pamper ourselves no kids/husband weekend treat with my bestie on Saturday. We booked 2 platinum packages and OMG was it lovely. The reception/waiting area is really small so I would guess they are a pretty busy location as they just keep rotating customers in and out. But it is nice with the green plants and the aromatherapy before you are taken back to change into your robe. Your clothes and personal items are taken with you and never leave you - so no one else is anywhere near your things which is nice to know that you stuff is safe while your eyes are closed for for over an hour. You have the same technician throughout the whole experience. I had Anna and she was exceptional! I have terrible shoulder/neck knots and she worked really diligently to get them worked out as best she could without making the entire experience a massage - the head/hair massage and washing was great!!!! Just as an fyi they do use the waterfall over your neck, it's a bit startling if you aren't expecting it - but it does feel nice once you get acclimated. The hot stones are pleasant, the facial massage and cleansing is great. They give you a little moisturizer and lip masque when finished and then give a little blow dry with some water, an orange and some tea biscuits to munch on and hydrate before getting dressed. My hair felt soooo soft. My skin was literally squeaky clean. The only "downer" if I had one is a personal for me - 120 mins is a long time and my legs got a little restless. I would need a bigger wedge pillow under my knees, or none at all so I could cross my legs under the blanket. Just because I get fidgety in one place for too long. It's not their fault - that's a me thing. I can't wait to back. Maybe go for a lesser time and just do an add on service instead. read more

Just had the most amazing experience here at Blue Moon Head Spa. Upon entering the building everyone was so welcoming as sweet. My technicians name was Grainne. She made this experience worth every penny. As a mom of 10 it is rare I get to treat myself like this. I have LONG hair down to below my waist and she still took her time and care throughout the entire experience. Even blow drying took longer than the other and she was so patient. I would HIGHLY recommend this place. All the girls I came with shared the same 5 star experience. I definitely will be returning :) read more

Talk about an unreal and unbelievable experience. I've been to a handful of random head spas from La to oc and this by far has exceeded all of my expectations!! I got the diamond service and it felt like they went above and beyond more than what the package entails, including lit mass and additional massages. This is a really well priced package and it's such a steal! Ruby is a true gem and make a good part about it. She didn't rush through anything! They send you a text reminder, and you must cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment to avoid a fee. One special thing to note is if you book a service that's at least an hour, you receive a complimentary foot soak as long if you arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment. This was a nice touch. When I arrived, Cristina, from the front desk walked me to their quiet room, which has the ultimate relaxation vibes. She was amazing! She had my foot soak ready to go, along with a heated neck wrap and a blanket. On top of that, she made me a delicious vanilla chamomile tea, accompanied by a chocolate. A literal pampering angel. My facial was done by Chasity. She was also so nice and she gave me plenty of time to change and get comfortable in the spa bed. She listened to my skin concerns and tailored the products for my face. Throughout my appointment, she explained each step of the facial. At one point I was so relaxed, I fell asleep. Parking was ample, and the front staff was pleasant and welcoming. I was escorted to a dim room and given instructions to prepare myself before the therapist comes in. My massage therapist came in, introduced herself, and got to business. By the end of the session, I felt slightly better. The stiffness and ache in my back was definitely still present. But I wasn't expecting a full recovery after a 60 minute sessions so I didn't mind. I appreciated that she really tried using pressure on the back by literally using her entire body weight, because most of the massage therapists I get are significantly lighter than me, so I don't really feel much when they try to get the knots out. That being said, it would be nice to have an option online for a male therapist as I could have used more pressure on my back. The portion where you can book with certain staff members are only labeled as 'Therapist' for all the options. I understand from a privacy-focused perspective why they'd do that, but I never know who I' getting when I book with them. Decent service, would come back again if needed.

I got the Premium Package and added 10 extra minutes for a massage. The therapist who took care of me was extremely careful and super attentive to detail. She made the whole experience very relaxing and left me feeling incredibly refreshed. I definitely think the Premium Package is the right balance of services offered, and would recommend that to anyone checking this place out. I recently visited Blue Moon Head Spa and had a Platinum spa session with Jenny -- she was absolutely phenomenal. Her touch was incredibly gentle, and she stayed communicative throughout the experience, making sure my needs were met. Truly a gem of a masseuse and one of the highlights of my visit. However, in terms of atmosphere and overall experience, I did leave feeling a little underwhelmed. Given how highly raved about this place is on social media, my expectations were definitely higher. One of the bigger issues was the water temperature fluctuating from hot to cold, which was quite jarring and took away from the relaxation I was hoping for. Another major concern was being placed in a shared room with a complete stranger, who continued to talk about their own needs throughout the session. It was distracting and made it hard to fully relax. Additionally, the space isn't fully enclosed -- just separated by curtains -- so outside noise, including the sound of blow dryers and staff, filtered in and disrupted the peaceful environment. While the massage itself was wonderful and Jenny did an amazing job, the relaxation aspect -- which is such a big part of why we take the time (and spend the money) to visit places like this -- just wasn't fully there for me. Overall, good service but improvements could definitely be made to the atmosphere for a truly relaxing experience. read more

The spa location may be in a strip mall in Orange, but when you get inside, it feels like a high end spa/salon. The decorum and demeanor of those providing the services (and at the front desk) is top-notch. It feels like the management is very hands-on and assures all the services are great. I did my research before selecting a head spa. I booked the Diamond treatment at Blue Moon for my daughter and I. We both loved it so much. It is hard to pick our favorite part. Each was better than the last. Treat yourself and ask for Helen. She was fabulous. Very kind, attentive and caring. My daughter loved Anna too which seems like a really good sign about consistency. We can't wait to go back. One comment: the wedge for under your knees should be three times as big/tall. I asked for two but keeping them on top of each other was hard. After receiving your robe you are taken to the next area to change. The entire area was super relaxing with other customers getting their treatment. The hot stone massage kind of caught me by surprised when the heat kept increasing, but Wendy would reassure me and would lightly tap it on my skin so I would get used to it. I booked the Platinum Package at Blue Moon Head Spa and added the scalp exfoliation, and it was absolutely worth it. My masseuse, Ruby, was wonderful--she greeted me with a big smile and was so polite and respectful throughout the entire visit. I had such a great experience at Blue Moon! I purchased the Diamond package and was handled like one. Allisa was amazing -- she really took her time with my hair and made me feel completely at ease. As a Black woman with curly hair, I wasn't sure what to expect walking in, but Allisa handled everything with so much care and confidence as best she could. I was so relaxed, I actually fell asleep mid-appointment -- I don't even remember half of it, but that's how you know it was good! Oh my gawd, ask for Amy as a tech, she was amazing! This was the best spa service I've ever had. The exterior is unassuming but after you get settled on the head spa bed and they start the treatment you are whisked away into wonderland. The service was incredible, I got the Gold package and added the facial, massage, hair loss treatment, exfoliation and after the hair drying a hair do. It was one of the best experiences. My visit to the head spa was an absolute treat! I came to blue moon right after work and was really looking forward to the experience. The scalp massage was incredibly relaxing, helping to relieve all my tension while improving circulation for all kinds of benefits. Miss Ruby is a magician! I had a wonderful morning with her and had the platinum package. I upgraded from the gold, totally worth it!! I will definitely come back to book another appointment with her soon. The space is cozy and quiet, they really do an excellent job creating a calm and relaxing environmen. I recommend using Zelle or venmo so you don't have to pay card fees or if you pay cash you get a discount as well. A great place for a mother daughter date or even a girls day with your besties. Anna did the service for my friend and she got glowing reviews as well! We didn't know it, but they had a special promotion going on in November where they added on a bunch of free upgrades to the service. Not only did we get the full 2 hour treatment, they also did advanced face massage, as well as leg and feet massage. The place is small but so incredibly cozy. There's only 2 spots so we had a private and pampered experience. It's called a head spa, but it was truly more than that. We started off with a heated eye mask and scalp massage, followed by a face and neck massage, leg massage, and then a thorough double cleanse and conditioner. My hair felt so soft and revived after the treatment. And my face felt so smooth and glowy! Truly 2 hours of bliss. Once the massage and washing were over, we were treated to some cute snacks, followed my a thorough drying and even light styling of hair with Dyson hair dryers. Small location very private but noisy. Holly was my tech. She was the only one in there for the first 1/2 of my 90 minute service, which meant during the service she was also the receptionist. She was on her phone a lot, I was rather annoyed by her answering calls in what is supposed to be a relaxing service. The service was ok, going from touching her phone to my face wasn't my favorite. Very heavy, rough hands. I have fine hair and it was a lot of pulling. Massage was fine still very heavy handed and the position to sit in at the end was not comfortable, maybe because I'm a taller? I'm not sure. Not sure if they were having plumbing issues, but the water was cold the whole service. It warmed only slightly but not comfortable. What was most concerning was how tangled my hair was at the end. I have never seen my hair in such a knotted mess. Yes she was able to detangle, by pulling it apart and ripping the hair. The tangles were caused by poor products and shampoo technique. A good conditioner and proper rinsing would never leave my hair like that, the 90minite service was also supposed to include blowdry, I was told to pay $10 more. I will not be returning. I wish them luck and hope they can use this as a reference to make the experience better. There are MANY head spas in the area that take better care of the client for the same price.

Martha coordinated with her team members Danielle and DJ and we're so thoughtful and gave my family and I macaroon & citrus bath steamers with a hand written card. I buy Disney gift cards at target with my target card for 5% off and the grand California hotel valet parking (normally $75) is complimentary with $125 or $175 service (no tram or walking). Your reservation confirmation will tell you the exact amount. Please tip the valet cast members, they hustle and provide great service. Whenever I had concerns or feedback, cast members listened, weren't defensive and was receptive and understanding. They take care of you and want you to enjoy your experience!

However, the issue began on the date of our appointment. I got to the establishment for our 11am appointment to realize that their doors were locked and were completely closed. I called and they then told me that one of the technicians had gotten into an accident and will be 15 mins late, but they will have another technician open the door. We were okay with that... 30 minutes later, we were still standing outside in 80+ degree heat. Mind you that I drove an hour to get here from LA. We were let inside at 11:40am. After changing, we were told to lay down. However, the other technician still didn't arrive, so we laid there and talked. The service started when she walked in at 11:55am. They only have two different services and we went with their 90 minute Kaori Treatment ($138). The hair wash was decent and relaxing. The products smelled wonderful... However, the technician I had seemed inexperienced. The "lifting" facial was a joke as she just patted my face and put a mask on it. When we were told to get dressed for the blow dry, it was 12:55pm. Definitely not a 90 minute service as were seated for approximately 10-15 minutes to blow dry our hair before our service was completely over. It was about a 75 minute service. Also, they do not offer tea or snacks. I was so thirsty, I had to ask for water. Other reviews talked about a face and scalp consultation which was was not offered to us. We never got any analysis period. At the time of payment, they gave us a discount due to the troubles. However, they didn't deduct that deposit we had made and they had trouble confirming it with whomever they were speaking with. I ended up showing them the text log with the screenshot of payment. As this is a second location, I expected at least the basic standard of care. I came to relax, but I the whole situation stressed me out and I was disappointed. I should have learned by now not to trust Instagram influencers. That being said, I will be returning to my usual hair spa.
