    $1 Tacos

I love tacos, so I usually go here on Thursdays for the $1 Tacos and $3 Margaritas. This a hole in a wall dive bar. I go right when they open, because the cigarette smell can be overbearing. The bartenders are very friendly and knowledgeable about different drinks and the menu.

Friday is seafood night and boy is it good! The clam chowder is homemade by the owner and full of fresh seafood! The crableggs, shrimp and oysters are plentiful as well. Is a dive bar and smokers are very well represented. If you can handle country music and a little cig smoke, you'll live this place!

I really loved this place. There isn't a large beer selection (and don't even think about asking for a micro brew), but the staff is as good as it gets. The food is just as wonderful as the staff. Don't know what you want to eat, just ask your server (who will likely be the bar tender) and she'll be glad to give you some suggestions. I believe the guy who cooks the food also brings out the food on a busy night so don't forget to give your compliments to the chef. It's not a super charming place (it is a bar afterall) but the staff and food definitely make up for what the decor lacks. They have live music on Friday nights and all kinds of fun stuff like Karaoke going on throughout the week. If you like hometown bars, friendly service and surprisingly good food (definitely try the wings!), then give this place a try. You won't be disappointed.

Pretty good food and excellent service for a smoker dive bar. Live music is awesome. I ordered the grilled chicken salad and the lettuce was fresh. Good times.

I go way back with Terry, the owner, of Ref's Timbers. This is the cool dive bar of dive bars. I've been playing drums in this place on and off for years. If you want some dang good bar food ( plus steaks, crab and oysters) at great prices, this is the place to come. Larry can really cook it up downstairs. The staff are always friendly and the drinks are strong. Being a musician, I appreciate the fact that Terry still strongly supports live music. Come check out Teds Timbers, the oldest tavern in Smyrna (1968). I will give a ding though... better ventilation would help but I guess the bar would lose a little of its charm if it was smoke free.

Red's Timbers has a small but sufficient beer choice!

What the heck? I was stuck. I popped into OVI to let staff know my car would be there until we could fix it. The general manager, Tara, immediately offered a jump. She went above and beyond to help me get to the battery, which wasn't under the hood after all. (I was so hungry and overwhelmed, I forgot it is in the back of the car behind the spare tire.) She didn't care about getting her hands dirty or all the time she was spending on me. Nope, she didn't bat an eye. Calm and collected, she knew exactly what to do and quickly got my car started. What a lifesaver! Old Vinings Inn has good food and GREAT people!

An estimated "ready time" was given when the order was initially placed, but when I got to the restaurant and asked about the order, it seemed that the order was just being put in on my arrival. Once I got there (Unbeknownst to the person at the register, I actually understand and speak a little bit of Spanish) I peeped the conversation between he and someone from the kitchen and that was my understanding. Now granted, it was a large order and in this day and age, you don't want to be making a bunch of food that never gets picked up I guess, so I have some understanding, but if there was a genuine concern there, since the food was already paid for, they maybe could've called back prior to my arrival, for confirmation. Ultimately, the food was good, no complaints from my coworkers and other than a bunch of wasted time (I ended up waiting around for a good 40 minutes) - Success and satisfaction, but still shaking my head!!

Husband enjoyed his cheesecake with fries. Wasn't a full house yet, maybe 30 guests seated. Just very disappointing when you are hungry and leave hungry. I love salads but mine had such a weird taste and I have learned if in doubt, spit it out. Plus side was easy access to game. Needs improvement in cooking and big training on customer service, making sure plates are on table before serving. Getting orders right, not smelling like weed. Definitely not trying another chain when we travel.

Yard House made my first visit to Atlanta unexpectedly enjoyable…read more From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly. I wish I remembered the name of the woman at reception, but she had impeccably styled dark hair, absolute boss energy (so may have been a manager), had a wedding ring, and looked like one of those stunning police officers you randomly see go viral on Instagram. Whoever she is, she deserves recognition because she set the tone for the entire experience. We had a small service dog with us, so we were seated outside. Thankfully, the atmosphere made it a great spot to hang out while waiting for the rain and post-baseball-game traffic to calm down. Our server Jason was fantastic. Super personable, attentive, and easygoing. We were mostly looking for a few good comfort-food snacks, and he recommended the cheese curds and poke nachos. I'd never had cheese curds before, but I'm glad I trusted him because both dishes were excellent. The poke nachos especially disappeared embarrassingly fast. I know this isn't the deepest menu exploration review ever written, but honestly, when a place makes you enjoy your time this much, you give credit where it's due. Great staff, great energy, and a genuinely fun experience. I'll absolutely be back.

So, just so the public knows, if you speak openly about your honest experience at Atkins and it's not a 5 star review, you will be threatened to be removed from the bar unless you change it. This is 100% unethical and I've never encountered this level of unprofessionalism in my life. Will be letting BBB know what happened here, and I will be telling my friends, who come here regularly with me after run club, and everyone I encounter, to avoid this place at all cost. I also had Atkins as a recommendation for my Airbnbs, which I will definitely be removing. The management here needs a serious do over before it's acceptable. Do better Atkins. Everyone should go to Vintage or Stillfire, where the customer service has always been top tier and they manage their business ethically. Atkins Park has been my favorite bar in Smryna for years and I've been coming consistently since 2022. The past couple of years I've started coming even more, up to a couple of times a week, since I go to a Monday run club that meets in the village. I'll often bring my running friends over for post run food and drinks. The bartenders are amazing and I consider many of them my friends. The food is good and the atmosphere has always been fun and welcoming up until recently. Unfortunately, an incident happened with a bar manager on Friday evening that has made me decide to take a pause from coming to Atkins for a while. I've gotten really comfortable with the employees, bartenders and bar managers, and we often joke with each other, but the bar manager on Friday did not like a joke I made and he handled it by aggressively threatening to kick me out of the bar. I understand if a joke doesn't land right. Some jokes aren't for everyone. If he kindly told me he didn't appreciate it, I would have understood and never joked that way again, but threating to kick someone out, especially a regular, felt like a huge over reaction. It was very embarrassing and upsetting for me. I feel like someone who works so closely with the public and is a manager should have better reactions and conflict resolution skills.
