The counter was busy when we walked in, and it was unclear where to order, but we were in no hurry, and the service was very courteous once it was our turn. There are signs above of where to order and where to pay. The Blue Mountain Bistro-To-Go Feel Good Food is a delicious stop on Route 28 in Kingston, NY. You can enjoy your takeout in a lovely intimate dining room round back. We shared a Primavera Panini (filled with grilled zucchini, eggplant, roasted tomato and fresh mozzarella, basil aïoli) and a side of the hoisin brussel sprouts. The veggie potstickers were incredible, and my mother-in-law walked out with two dozen. After we added these delicious yummy's to our tummies, we picked up a few items from the bakery: chocolate eclair, magic dream bar, pecan brownie & an assortment of cookies. We left with a very large bag and big smiles on our faces! PS: I accidentally left my Coach purse dangling on a chair. When I called back an hour later, they had already safely put it away, and I was able to easily retrieve it. I am so grateful for their honesty!

If we're heading up to Woodstock, this is one way we rarely hit. It was good timing we did and a nice surprise to see Blue Mountain in this area. Way past lunch and decided on a quick nosh and some sweet goodies to bring with us to our hotel. It's not a restaurant, not a deli, not even a pastry shop. I know it's a mouthful- but it's actually a little bit of everything plus more in between. Pastry counter on the left and what seems like glass display cases from end to end- full of already-prepared sandwiches and salads. And from my angle, salads are nowhere near a sloppy mess and drenched in mayo. Top to bottom wooden shelves filled with canned and jar goods and tables in the back- if you want to eat-in. Picked up Vegetarian and meat sandwiches for us. And couldn't leave without Sweets- so headed for a few Linzer cookies, Chocolate Chip Cookies and of course......a Chocolate Mousse cup. But that just rocked the boat- because I wanted another one. Blue looks comfortable and really nice to see their new business here. Our visit was a tasty one. Low-key but Gourmet-stamped!

The food is always fresh and delicious, making it the perfect place to stop during a road trip. I especially love the edamame dumplings!

Great food at reasonable prices. The service can be slow at times, however it is worth the wait. Everything that they prepare is excellent!

Gross overcharging -- $5.99 for a two dollar Kikoman teriyaki sauce smh. Service is also despondent and seemingly aloof. Real bad look.

We also asked for a side of bread, worth the $2 and I ripped chunks to dip & soak up the rich mussel broth. Mmm!!!! Before ordering I wasn't sure what I was going to eat so I couldn't pick between a red or white wine. Orange is usually my go-to if it's on a menu and that night they had one option--slightly tangy and tart while still very smooth... My husband's calf's liver was cooked perfectly medium rare, a nice thick cut too and it came with a tall creamy dollop of whipped potatoes. My jumbo scallops were tender and surrounded by what seemed like rings of flavor...the center was creamy local corn, then leek & bacon ragout, and lastly a perimeter of basil pesto. I loved the little pile of sautéed chanterelle mushrooms on the side as well--They paired well dipped into the calf's liver demi glace reduction. Dessert was a bitter chocolate pot de crème that I finished off with the last bit of my 2nd glass of wine. Perfect. If I'm in the area again I will definitely be back!

We started with the gambas with garlic oil I could literally put on everything, the home made pierogis that were outrageous m, and the scallops that were like butter. The restaurant is super cozy in a farmhouse setting. We really enjoyed our experience and will definitely be back!

Went up to the rooftop & what a nice dinner we had. We decided to split the GEM Apple Salad(to die for) Strega Pinsa(pizza,w/mozz,ricotta,italian sausage, broccoli rabe) so frickin good, and some Thai wings(my least favorite, missing the flavor for me a little) I ordered a vodka drink called Strega "something", lol, can't think of the name but it had mint in it and very tasty. Of course our fat asses ordered the 3 Gelato flavors, and ate it all!!! It was so good. The best thing about the whole thing was Dillon, our server, who could take everything we dished out & gave back to us,2 50something divas, we enjoyed bantering with him, and over all, he was super gracious & sweet. Thank you! A winner in my book!

The highlight of our dinner was the truffle fries. We ordered the mussels appetizer, and it was flavorless. My BF enjoyed his burger, but the seafood Alfredo I had was quite disappointing; the pasta was cooked perfectly, but the sauce left much to be desired; it could've used more sauce and flavor. The restaurant is pricey; just a side order of truffle fries was $11.

We enjoyed the Figgy chicken sandwich (fig jam, plentiful greens, cheese and chicken, bun could have been better quality) with salad (pretty fresh), and the Caesar chicken sandwich with fries. The server (owner?) was very friendly and explained the menu, saying specifically that the chicken sandwiches are made to order. There were only two other occupied tables on a Saturday afternoon and the food took a little while to come out (not very bad but not super fast). It also seems like a place that should be crowded but wasn't. Coffee was self service. They also had a pumpkin pie in a plastic container (didn't look homemade) in the front. There's a little children's play area in the back. And the unisex bathroom was very large. It's located on a street with lots of shops and other eateries (pizza etc).

Our waitress was very nice, really chill, checked in once but if we had flagged her over I'm sure she would have been attentive more but we just didn't need anything. We ordered two different versions of their chicken sandwiches and they both were amazing! I ordered the club and substituted out for the Big Mac sauce, it was ridiculously delicious! The owner/chef I believe came over after our food was served which was really nice to check in and offered some future suggestions that we'll be sure to take her up on. The food was cooked to order, super fresh and a lot of details that made it a perfect bite! Cute place with a variety of seating options, the old brick work pops through in some places which adds a really nice historic charm to the place. We'll definitely be back to give a few more menu items a try!

If golf is your life, you might be looking forward to the post-round meal here. And even if you…read moredon't dream, eat, think or have that perfect golf swing like us, you could still enjoy the comforts and meal Millstream Tavern in Woodstock has to offer- because it isn't just for the 'must play' folks. Except, double-check in advance because there was one Saturday in July where Millstream T. was closed off for an event. We all know we can't judge a book by it cover. Millstream T. fits that ticket. The outside front patio is done with large cross-hatch bluestones and some outside seating(?). A variety of plants and shrubs are used to almost soften the area and distract from the parking lot. But the inside is where the magic is because it opens to a well-thought bar area with none of it being cheesy. Followed by an intimate area to the back left and another dining area towards the back right with an airy feel facing the creek. But if you want even more 'oomph', go one step further to enjoy your meal and live music on the deck. The hostess was super sweet, attentive and watered our glasses. Starters include oysters, salad, grilled veggies, etc before the focus turns to the heavenly sounding mains comprised of Salmon, Cod, pork chop, etc. Cocktails were done creatively and with strength. Our asparagus starter was grilled perfectly and the romesco's heat was an eye-opener to put it mildly. Not horrible. Just unexpected. Our Little Gem Caesar was excellent and wanted to eat a whole crate of it. Hubs salivated over their peach+maple glaze pork chop with broccolini. My cod was done PERFECTLY and boy was it juicy. The Moroccan Chickpea stew+dukkah spices was an interesting addition and I ate some- but I picked up on a considerable amount of cinnamon(or another spice?) that took over the dish. Oh, and leave room for dessert. They're small touches- but they'll seal the deal. My pot de crème was chocolatey and topped with a refreshing strawberry+rhubarb compote. Hubs liked his unconventional Key Lime Pie and wished for another. Service from Debbie was also friendly and gave us the heads up on Music nights, Happy Hr schedule, 'Music Brunch', etc. We enjoyed everything Millstream offers- but I personally appreciate the fresh local ingredients and produce used from many of the farms in the area. This isn't a one-and-done for us. The meals are tasty and the energy is casual- but fun. Talk about a finale.
