Late Night Menu, Lotsa Chicken Tenders, yummy!
    Ellen S.

Had the Late Night Lotsa Chicken Tenders w/fries. They were awesome, one order would have been enough for both of us. Pat was our bartender/waiter, he couldn't have been nicer. Great little bar, especially if your a Vikings fan.

    Cheese curds
    Liz M.

So the cheese curds were the only decent meal my co workers and I had. I ordered the worst meatloaf I've ever had. My other co workers ordered a sandwich, burger and fish and chips. All of us didn't like the food we ordered but the ambience is chill if you want to come and watch sports while having a drink. There's plenty of parking and the prices are decent. I would come back for drinks, cheese curds and to watch a game.

    Fish Sandwich with Fries

Have driven by Blue Ox Central so many times over the last 3 years and my husband and I finally decided to stop in last weekend. We started with Mozzarella Sticks with both blue cheese and a marinara dipping sauces. They were nice and hot and the breading wasn't thick. We'll be ordering those again. I tried the fish sandwich, which was the daily special for that day, and it came with fries. My husband tried the Rueben sandwich on Rye with their fresh chips. Everything was very good! Keep in mind that their portions are big! Barbara was nice enough to tell us when she thought we were ordering too much. She was really nice and even gave us some chocolates with our bill!

Mushroom Swiss with onion rings so good

Best meatloaf in the world. I keep going back over and over. Everything I have tried here is good. But the meat loaf is my favorite.

The chicken finger at the blue Ox are a Las Vegas Staple, I use to come here over 29 years ago. I forgot how absolutely succulent they are. Made with real pieces of chicken breast and dipped in a light crispy batter to perfection. There's no filler no skinny cookie cutter, assembly line processed chicken stuff here. When you're in the mood for some real chicken fingers, the blue ox is a must try, also the wrench is made in the house absolutely yummy. Fair warning food is addicting.

Open 24 hours is a very misleading thing to suggest when your business is in Las Vegas and the doors are locked at midnight.

Let me start with the positives, because there were plenty. The moment I walked in and saw the open outdoor space, I was immediately charmed. There's something really special about an open-air venue in Las Vegas -- it has a relaxed, laid-back energy that you don't always find on or near the Strip. The atmosphere was fun and lively, and it was clear that people were there to have a good time. The karaoke DJ was absolutely the highlight of the night. He was talented, enthusiastic, and incredibly warm and welcoming -- the kind of host who makes everyone feel like a star whether they can sing or not. I also loved the karaoke app, which notifies you when your turn is coming up. That's such a thoughtful touch and takes so much anxiety out of the experience. Karaoke kicked off at 10pm and the energy in the room was infectious once it got going. The drinks were good -- well-made and enjoyable -- though on the pricier side for what you'd expect at a casual karaoke vegas bar. Not a dealbreaker, but worth knowing going in. Now for the constructive feedback, shared in the spirit of hoping this venue reaches its full potential: The table reservation situation was genuinely confusing and a bit stressful. I had made what I believed to be a table reservation ahead of time, but when we arrived, the host at the door informed us that table reservations aren't actually accepted. I showed her my reservation confirmation, and unfortunately she was dismissive about it rather than empathetic or helpful. For a group arriving excited for the night, that interaction set a frustrating tone. A little kindness and acknowledgment -- even just "I'm so sorry for the confusion, let me help you find a spot" -- would have gone a long way. Because we couldn't be seated at the tables until 10pm, we were left waiting at the bar, which was extremely crowded with other guests in the same situation. Getting a drink was a real challenge with so many people packed in waiting for seating to open up. It felt like a bit of a bottleneck that could easily be improved with clearer communication upfront about the table policy -- or better yet, actually offering reservations. We also weren't able to order food at the Front Yard, which was a surprise. We ended up heading over to the Village Pub to eat, which worked out fine, but it would be so much more convenient to be able to grab a bite without leaving the venue. Despite all of that, my friends and I left smiling. The DJ truly carried the night, and the outdoor space is something Ellis Island should be proud of. With a few operational tweaks -- clearer reservation policies, a friendlier front-of-house experience, and maybe some food options -- the Front Yard could easily be one of the best karaoke spots in Las Vegas. We'd come back and give it another shot! :)

But let's get straight to the issue- the HOSPITALITY! I don't like being negative- I want local businesses to thrive and reach more people, but I need to add this bit of criticism- Lately, coming here feels like you're rolling the dice- and going out to eat and being treated well shouldn't have to feel like a gamble. When I dine here, I don't feel welcome. The bartenders make it clear that they cater to some regulars more than others. It takes the bartender half an hour to get us started with drinks and a menu to look at the food. It's crazy- I come here so often know some of this establishment's staff by name now and yet, I'm met with this recent disservice- The other night I arrive here with my girlfriend to grab some food around 1 am. I see the bartender, Ryan, zooming around, refilling beer and shots, going in and out of the kitchen. It's not that busy of a Friday night- maybe a handful of couples and groups all sitting at the bar. He passed SEVERAL times by me, no acknowledgement, no "Hey, bear with me, I'll be right with ya." 1:30. He finally comes to us apologizing, gets us started on drinks and hands us the menu. We take a couple of minutes to decide. He stands around by the Pos and talks to another bartender (Andrew I think?), who came from the kitchen, then immediately left. Another 10-15 minutes pass. By this point, I was wondering if I should just walk out. Finally, Ryan comes to take our orders. Typically, a server or bartender leads the conversation, right? I'm sure you hear things like "what can I get started for you," or "how would you like your eggs cooked" or "how would you like your Steak cooked" - You've all heard those before, right? Well- nothing. No cue. No asking anything. It felt awkward. Uncomfortable. Unwelcoming. I don't even know if he was paying attention. At one point, it was ME who was the one asking my girlfriend "How do you want your eggs cooked?" when she asked to get the Steak and Eggs because there was ZERO response coming from our bartender to anything we said. The energy felt COMPLETELY off, so I just asked then and there for the check and left off to grab some Cane's instead. An absolutely dismal experience. I don't like making my reviews about me, but I felt like I needed to explain exactly why I'm upset about my recent visits here so anyone reading this can better understand instead of just reading a vague mention of how rude the staff was. Let's get to the Good Bar Bites I recommend if you do come here (maybe day time could give you a different experience): WSKY Burger- I recommend a medium on the patty! Very juicy- the crunch of the onion rings and candied bacon- One of my favorite burgers! Steakhouse sliders- tasty and sharable mini burgers! Although- I need some clarification- Can modifications be made to this dish? One day, while ordering over the phone, a bartender named Zach told me I cannot add an extra slider (I wanted 4 sliders instead of just the 3 that come on the order), I'd have to purchase two whole orders if I wanted more. What's this about? I've never had that issue before, so just curious. Flatbread Pizza- of course pizza is always awesome to munch on. The crunch on the flatbread is so satisfying I honestly don't think I'll be coming here anytime soon. It sucks. The bar looks beautiful, the food is delicious. But why have I been treated like an outsider lately? It's not worth going to a place, even if it has good food, if you're not going to be treated well.

I know Vegas has so many good sports bars to choose from, but if you're ever looking for one in that general vicinity, or someone in Henderson is trying to meet up with someone from Summerlin, it's kind of a good "half way" spot.
