I've been wanting to try this place out for a while and finally got to go. Stopped in for Sunday brunch and the place was mildly busy. Sat outside as most spots are outdoors and the weather was amazing. The service was good and the food was flavorful. Unfortunately they only have a limited menu as they only serve breakfast items and no longer serve lunch. I was also disappointed to discover that the bloody Mary's they are serving are wine based. Still a good spot for the ambience

We took a drive down Dearborn St. on "Black Friday" and decided to stop in for lunch. The setting is great! Outdoors, under the big ole' tree is a great place for people watching. We were seating right away. Service was a bit slow, but not painfully slow! We had drinks - bloody marys... I didn't care for mine, but that's just personal preference. The "not spicy" was too spicy for me lol. My sister enjoyed hers! Food was good. I asked for my burger medium-well and it came out more medium (LOTS of pink). My husband's sandwich could have used more meat (was mostly bread). Despite these issues, the food was very good! We would definitely go back and try another dish for sure.

While at the Farmers Market on Dearborn, we decided to stop for lunch and a drink. We stopped at the Blue Pineapple for their loaded Bloody Marys . We got an Antipasto one and a Cheeseburger slider one. Service was excellent from Madison

Solid breakfast spot on a Sunday morning! Great service and it was nice to sit outside and feel the cool breeze while people watching! French toast and eggs were great! Only thing is wish they had real maple syrup.

Brunch with family brought us down to this Bistro. This was post Ian so lots of businesses around were closed, but you can tell right away this place was not one of them. You don't check in with a host, but stand in the parking lot in a line until it's your turn to be seated. There are cars pulling in to the lot and leaving so be careful! We were seated outside, there was a small commotion behind us as the ladies received their bloody mary meals!! Once I saw that, I instantly knew what I had to do! I will be honest and say I do not remember our servers name. She was nice and friendly, we were not neglected. There is brunch menu and the bloody mary menu. You receive a giant bloody mary with a list of meals that are placed within your drink!! I went with grilled cheese! Absolutely a fun and tasty thing to order! Everyone enjoyed their brunch, but I definitely had the most fun!

We went to Blue Pineapple Bistro to start off a 21st birthday celebration. Everyone ordered a Bloody Mary and all were happy with their order. It is definitely a unique place,a little hole on a wall with a great idea of the giant Bloody Mary's. We were there on the Saturday after Thanksgiving,and the place wasn't crowded but it had an even flow of patrons. It looked like there was only one server,so the service wasn't super fast,but it was a beautiful day and we were happy to sit outside. I ordered the shrimp and Pineapple Bloody Mary,it was delicious. I also ordered a shrimp chiveche with flat bread-that was the perfect combo. Rest of our party had the grilled cheese,cheese burger and the antipasto Bloody Mary. It is truly am experience!!! I'm glad we find the Blue Pineapple Bistro,I'm sure we will be back some other time to kick off our weekend with a delicious,giant Bloody Mary breakfast.

I absolutely love this place, it was my husband and I first time here and it exceeded our expectations. Delicious food and dessert. I had the pineapple juice which was really good and my husband had a corona. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the restroom took me by surprised love the decoration. Everyone was very attentive to us.

Delicious food. We got the most amazing coconut shrimp to start. It also came with coconut sauce which was a real treat for dipping. Flatbread was really good, and the tacos were good too. The coconut shrimp were by far the star of the meal. We ate outside and the restaurant is at a central location in town. Friendly service, it was a little slow but it was during the lunch rush so that's to be expected. Would get on a plane to return for the coconut shrimp. read more

We had to wait a while to eat and they had a limited menu, but I think that was because it's "bike night". My kiddos got the mozzarella stick and Buffalo chicken fried ravioli and they loved both!!! I would recommend the chicken arugula cauliflower crust flatbread and the wings!! Super yummy thin cauliflower crust, and gluten free!! Doesn't appear that they carry a liquor license, but they still make great wine based margaritas. The live music was awesome as well - Jacob Engelking was awesome!!! He is a very talented singer and sings almost anything at a slower, calmer pace. read more

Just went again last week...there we're 8 of us, and as usual the food and service was very good. The plates come out loaded and they also set out chips and salsa. Our drinks were good, but could have been a little stronger. A nice place to visit, our granddaughter from VA. asks to come here when she comes to stay with us awhile every year. read more

Went for a weekday lunch w a friend. Seating was quick - all outdoors, cute deck encircling a giant tree. The tree & shrubbery do a good job of making you feel like you're not on the side of Dearborn St flanked by parking lots. Good camouflageStaff was friendly. We tried the tomato bisque soup which was good & shared the Hawaiian flatbread w cauliflower crust. The flatbread easily fed two, prob could have been split by 3 people. I loved the crust & the idea of the Hawaiian but I'd prob chose a different flavor next time. The bloody Mary's look AMAZING & would be fun another time. Paying the bill was not as smooth as it should be (hand held electronic device gave the waitress a challenge but she will get smoother at it w experience.) I would return! read more

This little bistro was such a pleasant surprise as I made last minute plans to meet an old friend for lunch on a Friday afternoon. Their atmosphere is awesome, as we enjoyed live entertainment outside while also socially distanced and were able to take in the fresh air. The Grilled Cheese Bloody Mary was amazing, second only to the delicious Barbecue Bacon Wrapped Shrimp. It was sooo delicious that we decided to meet a couple days later to try their Sunday brunch and again were pleasantly not surprised by the yummy breakfast burgers and bloody mary's! They do not have liquor!!! Maybe this is normal in Florida, but not advertising it anywhere seemed odd. They heavily advertise Bloody Mary's but just know they use wine-based liquor. It does not taste great. read more

I have eaten here twice, today we started with the chicken pot pie soup, very good. followed up with a burger and a flat bread pizza. Both were very good. This was a must after reading the great reviews and seeing pictures of the Bloody Mary meal! Oh my word...The Bloody Mary was not just about the WOW factor for presentation...It was a really good Bloody Mary. We decided to share a few plates since I did have a meal "on" a mug. We shared the chicken & arugula flatbread. It was awesome...enjoyed the fresh ingredients and punch of great flavors, yet not a heavy to share as an appetizer. We also shared the pork belly bites and the candied shrimp skewers. The pork belly was not the best I've had before, overcooked, but favor was great. The shrimp skewers were large and good. Overall, I would return again and if just for the Bloody Mary, it's worth the trip. read more

Ate here on vacay with my girly. Arrived at lunchtime.... Walking up and noticed all seating was outside at the time...sounds good as it was a nice day out. Waiting to be sat was weird. Stood at the end of handicap ramp. Noticed only 2 servers working. Anyway. About 6 other tables were there as well as a guy playing older hits on his guitar. Ordered iced tea and my babe got a ridiculously large bloody mary(soft shell crab sticking out(2) with bacon and other goodies). looked awesome. She enjoyed. She ordered an arugala chicken flatbread thingy and I got chicken wings. wings-4 stars tater tots-4 stars flatbread-4 stars soft shell crab-2 stars, kinda tasted like state fair deep fried jive bacon was good server was nice and attentive and approachable for questions about the grub Nice place to go to sit outside for breakfast or lunch in small town America. Prices just way too high for the deal. (Bloody Mary was 28 bucks) Not bad if in the area. PS...if you have teenagers they are almost directly across from Danny's creme pies. We were seated right away. Our server was Ann Marie and she was awesome! She always made sure our drinks were filled and always checked on us. Bloody Mary was very tasty. I had the Pineapple Upside Down Pancake and it was super yummy. The pancake itself is really good and add the pineapple and cherry makes it even more delicious! I loved the wings here! They were crispy and had great sauce garlic Parmesan and garlic buffalo sauces they let me mix and match! I also had the scallops on another visit and like them equally! Haven't had the bloody Mary's yet, but came highly recommended by a fellow diner and will be going back! Great service as well! Looking forward to more visits! read more

Stopped in here today January 14 2022.. here now while giving review. This place doesn't look like much but WOW!!! Fresh food great service if I could give 10 stars I would! There yesterday, service ok but they did not tell you the price of anything. They fix a good bloody mary but be prepared for the price, after tip and CC fee you will pay about $30 per drink, wow, way out of line for one drink. Would not recommend! read more

But let me say this the upgrades and the amenities that are at theresort are like no other You don't have to worry about renting bikes, kayaks, chairs, boogie boards. They even have a golf area, pickle board, chairs to lounge you name it they have it. If you don't see it ask they will promptly make it happen for you. The Wanna B Inn made us fall in love with Manasota key. The main reason why we bought in Englewood Florida. However, this resort will make us always come back to stay. The Manasota key resort will be out stay-cation for many years to come. Thank you to the staff/owners for working so hard to bring back this magical place we call home. The 3 we had didn't have much short rib at all.. mostly potato. All in all we will go back for sure.

The reason we are writing is to suggest and encourage some changes to the atmosphere to entice customers to choose this place over the other competing beach restaurant's within the 2 block beach area. What we have noticed is that over time, the attention to the outdoor experience has slipped. It's started to feel somewhat sad and dead. I understand that live music isn't always available, but there is a stereo system that could be playing lively beach type music to help create a vibe/catch people walking by attention and lure them in for a drink and food. The T.V's downstairs are plentiful, but almost always locked on a scenery image, instead of playing sports that would help capture attention and make people want to come on in. We are locals, and really root for all the beach restaurants, and want the Waves/waverly in particular to be super successful, as it was the first place we went to on the beach after moving to Manasota Key, so please consider some small tweaks to make it a place people want to check out and and return to time and time again!
