Hubby decided to work from home and when it was lunch time we both decided to take a lunch break and try out a new restaurant. I researched on Yelp for a nearby restaurant w/ great ratings and found this place. The atmosphere was welcoming and the Waitress was very attentive. Our previous visits to Ashburn BRG had been for lunch. On this Friday evening, it was packed and rather noisy for our table close to the bar. It's so popular on weekends that you should call ahead for seating. Service and food were good...the prime rib was very tender, calamari appetizer was large, and chicken piccata is still a favorite. Parking lot was also packed so we had to park over in an adjacent lot. Prices are a bit high but not surprising for the Ashburn area. read more

I'm not from here but visiting family. They suggested Blue Ridge for dinner, have had good meals and service before., Yesterday, we ordered four meals for pick up. Two orders were fine but the hamburgers... ordered medium well and when we got home both were obviously medium rare... very disappointed. Please give the customer what they ordered. I know some 'chefs' think it's a sin to overcook, but that's a personal choice. I had to toss mine in the microwave to finish it. I've been to this place quite a few times but tonight was so disappointing. I ordered the grilled salmon and I've had their salmon before and they cook it all the way which is fine. However, tonight, while I was eating the salmon halfway through and noticed that the rest was raw! I told the waiter about being undercook and he acted like it was not a big deal which really surprised me because he never asked how I wanted my salmon cooked in the first place and they only have always been cooking it all the way. He acted like they cook salmon Medium rare! My mother in law ordered the salmon as well and hers was cooked all the way. To top it all, they brought the same salmon I returned and just cooked at the grill! The issue I have with this was I already ate some of the salmon and they cooked this halfway eaten salmon where they cook other customers' food so there is contamination. That is definitely a health concern. This is such a horrible experience and I hope they actually get rid of foods that are being taken back and not re-grill it due to contamination. read more

We have been several times and have consistently gotten good food, but the one visit that stuck out to us the most is the night we ordered the ribeye steaks and they came out overcooked. Even though they were not the temperature we ordered, they were still delicious so we weren't complaining. Our waitress came to check on us and noticed the temperature was off on both steaks, so she had them make us new ones. While we waited, she sent over a free bowl of clam chowder. The new steaks came out, and they were HUGE. They even included all new sides! The manager stopped by, offered his apologies and free dessert for our troubles. Needless to say, we didn't take advantage of the free dessert because we were so stuffed from the clam chowder and huge steaks, but the customer service here is just simply amazing and the food is consistently awesome. read more

I think of the main reasons I enjoyed this place, aside from the excellent food, was our server. He was so personable and really made my friend and I appreciate Blue Ridge Grill. As someone who grew up in Leesburg, you can REALLY tell the difference between this new location and the one that is there. And its not the fact thats its new. The customer service was farrrrr better. He even convinced us to try a new desert and was patient enough to help us in our decision making when trying to decide between two. It goes to show how much one person can alter someones dining experience. I ordered the lobster bisque and a Brentwood salad. Quality of food was great. One thing that gets me about other peoples reviews, which for the most part are good, is that if your simply upset over pricing, don't order an expensive dish. This place isnt the cheapest in town, but definitely not the most expensive. For the portion sizes and quality, I find them to be reasonable. My Wife and I regularly go to the Blue Ridge Grill in Leesburg. It's a Great place, good food and friendly service. Last night we visited the Blue Ridge Grill in Ashburn. Wow what a difference! The service was second rate at best, more on that shortly. My wife had a item off the main menu Ahi Tuna, very nicely done and presented. I made the mistake of have a daily special Ruben sandwich (St. Patrick's Day). Greasy and served at room temp. Guess it sat under the heat laps to long. The service started out ok, attentive and friendly, but once we had our food just, she was no were to be found. I Had to ask other servers of additional beverages and bill. The service tonight at the bar was awful. We order two salads that we always get. The dressing was way too much and ruined the meal. This place is way to EXPENSIVE for this type of service and food. I would usually rage BRG five stars but in this case they are suffering growing pains. The chef told me that the fish of the day wasn't gluten free because it was wild caught...?... Maybe a little more education needed there. The service was amazing. Hunter was our server, we loved him. He came by several times, service was speedy and he really enjoys his job... It shows. Addendum: To back-up what Vannaly posted, one of our servers informed us the cinnamon fried-dough sticks were offered as a promotion down at the Brambleton location to draw more customers down there. They tried to get rid of them, but people complained, so they stayed. They do NOT have the cinnamon sticks at this Ashburn Village location, which is disappointing, but a reasonable trade-off for the convenient location. read more

My husband and I eat at Blue Ridge Grill at least once a week. We used to live in Brambleton and recently moved to Ashburn Village changing the location we frequent. We got the prime rib sandwich, as usual, and it was terrible. It was dry and the bread was stale. We also got the chicken piccata and it was different than the other location. It's sad because Blue Ridge was my favorite restaurant! The Brambleton location is far better. The food is always fresh and the staff is friendly but driving to Brambleton is not convenient. I'm really hoping it isn't a difference in locations and we just picked a bad day to go. We may give this location one more try but, the quality doesn't compare. read more

I have visited here three times now since the grand opening. Each visit has been mediocre and the servers have lacked personality. Two of the three times I have gotten cold food. Both times the problem was remedied immediately. I will probably go back, but I think in order to be successful in an area with such vast competition, Blue Ridge Grill will have to step it up! read more

Had another great meal at Blue Ridge Grill in Ashburn. We shared the bruschetta, and had the chicken picatta and shell bowl, followed by the apple cobbler. All were excellent. Of particular note was our server, Sam. He was outstanding. Well spoken, warm and helpful. We've found all the help at this Blue Ridge to be terrific, but Sam stood out. Blue ridge Grill is classic American comfort food where you basically cannot go wrong. I have eaten here many times and I can honestly say that I have never had a bad meal. The service is usually very good although it can slow down a little at popular times. Some of the family favorites are the bruschetta with balsamic and goat cheese, calamari, ahi tuna salad, Brentwood fried chick salad, the brg burger, and the chicken tender platter. Maybe the best thing of all are their perfect McDonald's like French fries and sensational dipping sauces. I hadn't had prime rib since February and I figured I would give this place a try as I've heard good things. As a kid growing up in the 90s I loved going to Outback with my family and that is my prime rib baseline. Sadly my experience was subpar. I asked for a medium, since everywhere else I've gone, medium means pink throughout. My prime rib was completely brown. It was still tender and I'm not one to send food back, so I just ate it. I rarely ever have this problem at any other restaurant. I also ordered the side house salad that was pretty drenched in ranch. Luckily the dressing was pretty light, so it was not the worst possible thing. My server was mostly friendly, other servers were yelling at each other across the patio about shifts, so that was odd. Service seemed borderline sloppy. There were plenty of locals who seemed to frequent the restaurant, so I don't feel bad never coming back. I guess I will opt for Outback takeout next time, where the salad and bread are included, even if they decide to toss me a brown prime rib like BRG did. read more

Tonight we decided that Blue Ridge Grill in Ashburn would be the place we wanted to eat. About an hour ahead I placed a call to them for call ahead seating for 6:15. When we arrived at 6:15 they were busy, however they had our table ready and waiting and we were immediately sat. Our server Mike came right over took our order for beverages and immediately took our order for dinner as we were ready. I ordered one the the nights specials which was the filet mignon steak with the crab cake and Craig had the french cut pork chops, both came with sides. My crab cake was so delicious and full of crab meat with very little filler and the filet was cooked to perfection, medium rare as ordered and so very tender that it melted in my mouth. Craig chops were also cooked to perfection medium well as ordered, juicy and seasoned to perfection. Baked potato was delicious. Mike was very personable and timely and made the evening very enjoyable. We definitely will be returning soon. read more

This was our first trip there. The name grill is miss guiding for this place. They only have two fishes and three steaks on the menu. I thought they would have had a bigger selection of fish and it wasn't happening. Our waiter spoke loud like we were hard of hearing. He also seemed to be in a hurry because he hovered over us like a pain in the ass. He was a total asshole who needs to work on his people kills. He would never make it in a fine restaurant. The food was OK. It wasn't anything you can't get any where else. Behind us was two ladies that were gossiping about everyone they knew it seemed. This is a bougie wana be place. The prices are in 3/4 1/2. I paid 4 dollars for steamed broccoli. Never been to a place where you pay that much for a vegetable lol. Needless to say this was a two triper for us. Our first and last. My family was in town and there was a even split of desires for dinner. Some wanted seafood and others wanted steak. I instantly thought of the Blue Ridge Grill. We went on a weeknight so it wasn't full and were seated immediately. The service was great and everyone was friendly. We started off with the calamari and it was deliciously fried, not too chewy and paired with two sauces. Most of us had the prime rib which is always a favorite. This meat cuts like butter! Always seasoned perfectly and cooked to the right temperature. The only reason why I can give this five stars is because the food wasn't hot. Everything we had from appetizer to most of the dinners were lukewarm. It wasn't terrible but next time we hope the food is hot. read more

Service and food are both always consistent here at BRG!! We enjoyed the spinach artichoke dip but did wish there was just a little more dip for all the chips. Drinks were delicious. We strayed away from our usual apple cobbler to try the banana pudding. Definitely glad we tried it, but will probably go back to the cobbler next time because it's to die for!!
