I think that Blue Ridge is pretty good. They have a limited menu-- mostly steak, seafood, salads and chicken. Everything I've ordered is really good. My favorite dish is the backyard BBQ chicken. The spinach and artichoke dip also rocks! The atmosphere is great here as well as the service. My family comes here pretty often. I'd really like to try the Sunday brunch sometime too. It's very classy and American and it's great to have it right by the movies where you can have a date night or something! The location in Leesburg is very similar, it just looks a little different inside. I've always been a fan of Blue Ridge Grill. It's a touch of class but still comfortable enough to dress in jeans (in fact all the waiters do, jeans and nice white shirt). They have some wonderful meals for brunch, lunch and dinner. I've had their bruschetta dinner portion (a little touch of Italian love on a plate). And today I had my all-time favorite breakfast - eggs benedict and BRG paired it with a crabcake. They did not disappoint! The crabcake portion was so good. Large lumps of identifiable crab meat, lightly grilled; placed on a flaky yet moist biscuit and topped with a poached egg. I think they might not have poached my egg for long enough because my egg was actually a little cold (slightly weird) and it was super runny. I like to cook my eggs a little longer (not a fan of salmonella) but I didn't tell the waiter while ordering and the rest of the plate was so yummy I decided to take my chances. Fortunately, there were no 'ill' consequences. The yummy benedict was paired with the classic hashbrowns that were lightly salted, garlic'ed and seasoned. Our waiter was great, remembered our drinks and gave us refills before we ran dry. (Note: Lemonade not great, order something else). I would give 10 stars if I could! I was looking for a brunch place. I moved to the area during the peak of quarantine so I hand't ventured out much. This location was super chill for a Sunday. Great vibe and..... THE BEST customer service!! Megan was phenomenal. I wanted to request her the next time I visited, but she's going back to college. Another waiter stopped by my table when he realized we were ready to go. He went out of his to get me take home boxes and let Megan know we were ready. Rarely do other waiters go out of their way to help a table that's not theirs. The manager was also very friendly and helpful. I can't wait to go back! the food is good, it is true, but is it really worth what they are charging? Just because I can see you cooking my food doesnt mean you should charge more than reasonable. I'm a bit bitter because the last time I came here it was right before a movie I went to see, my girl and i had an hour to kill, but as soon as we sit down at the bar, the bartender said, FYI we close in 30mins. Went here for dinner and thought it was going to be great but was disappointed with the food. Service was good though. We ordered the chili and chips appetizer ($6) and was disappointed. It was salty and tasted like canned chili. The chips tasted like they came from the harris teeter next door. The bread and butter was nothing special. I ordered the teriyaki steak and lobster asparagus risotto ($22). The steak was ok but they didn't trim the fat so I had quite a bit of it. The risotto wasn't that good. There were no bits of lobster, it was like cheesy rice in a lobster bisque. I've had better. My boyfriend got the royale cheese burger ($10) and that was VERY disappointing. It was VERY bland. My Nana decided to go here for her birthday this year. Instead of taking the entire family, we just took a small group of us and then did family activities later. My 8 year old twin aka my niece has been obsessed with ribs for about 6 months now. No matter where we go, she wants them...and if they are good, the kid kills them!! Needless to say, I knew that little teeny order for kids wasn't going to cut it for her. So we ordered the adult entree and said we would split it...it was so good, my kid ate them like crazy and I ended up only getting to eat two! Definitely a good sign when a picky eater cleans her plate. My Mom ordered the fried shrimp and I risked my fingers and stole one. They were lightly battered and not greasy. The seasoning blend on them was typical and nothing special. However, I was surprised by how many were included in her order. She had plenty to share with the group. My Nana ordered crab cakes which is her go to dish at almost any restaurant. They were well seasoned, contained very little breading and were not greasy at all. They were a decent portion and quickly gobbled up. The best part of the evening was our waiter. I promised myself I would remember his name but it has slipped my mind :( he was fantastic! We are blessed to have 4 generations of our family still alive and living near each other. He offered to snap photos of us all and had fantastic recommendations. He put our orders in quickly and the timing was perfect. He was hilarious and really made our first experience at this restaurant a joy. Fantastic! We came here for brunch today with our friends who were in town and we absolutely loved it. Just a note that on weekends for brunch, they don't take reservations, but there is a 2 hour call-ahead so that's what we did and when we got there, we walked right in and were seated immediately. Their service is top notch from when you walk in the door until you leave. In addition to that, the food is great! I had the Country Breakfast which is chicken fried chicken with sausage gravy, poached eggs, home fries, and asparagus on the side. Every single bite was just delightful. The food was cooked well and more importantly, the poached eggs were just perfect! My fiance had the monte cristo sandwich with home fries and asparagus as well and had no complaints! Our friends got the eggs benedict and pancakes and seemed to like their dishes as well! We basically all cleared our plates! It was just delicious from beginning to end and I now have a new favorite brunch location. I recommend this place to everyone. You won't be disappointed! Has the feeling of a Great American Restaurant (Sweet Water Tavern, Coastal Flats, Jacksons, etc...), but I have gone here about 5 times and have not been disappointed with the meals. Costs range between $16-$25 which is normal in the area. Best Dishes (IMHO): 1) Shady Side Crab Cakes 2) Summer Flounder 3) Lobster Bisque I am usually a meat type of person but the seafood here is a must to taste at least. OK (still good): 1) Teriyaki Steak (Had this last night for the first time, was good but I have had better, was not as saucy as I thought it would be). 2) Simply Grilled Salmon There is something really good about the ranch dressing they have. Because I'm gluten free and dairy free, I don't even look at the desserts. But my friend had the "banana pudding" which is a giant mound of crazy sweet. He was done after a few bites. I've been meaning to come to BRG for a while and my wife and I finally had a date night so we ventured for the Broadlands and hit this restaurant. The place is still going strong with a lot of patrons waiting at the door. Very small waiting area for a lot of people waiting but we called ahead so we were seated pretty promptly. Our hostess was very warm and pleasant, and even thanked us for calling ahead. Nice. Our waitress was very energetic and friendly and she made some very nice suggestions. Our drinks were out in a flash and throughout the night, I was barely two sips into my drink and lo and behold, another one appeared. Luckily, I was thirsty so I was very appreciative of this kind of attentiveness. We started with the Bruschetta which was very nice. The only minor complaint was that there was not quite enough bread to scoop up all of the tomatoey goodness. Had a sweetness about it which was a bit different from others I had but very pleasant. My wife ordered the BRG Burger after reading some of the other Yelper recommendations and it was truly a good burger. We were sort of skeptical when it came out with the crumbled cheese and really a lack of any green color. However, after she assembled the sandwich and took a bite, she was relieved. The Canadian Ham and the sauce was a nice combination to the meat and the burger did redeem itself despite the plainness of its exterior. I ordered the 12 oz. aged prime beef with a side of risotto which asparagus. It sounded like an interesting combination and it appeared they used a medium grain rice which as an Asian was awesome. My meat came out just right, rare, as you can get a prime beef anyhow and with the au jus and horseradish, I enjoyed almost every bite. I really appreciate aged beef and I can taste the slow roast on the fringes of the meat. Good stuff. We finished up with some coffee and the Dulce de leche Chocolate Cake. By this time though, we were probably over full so this became a serious overindulgence but it was nicely presented and full of gooey chocolatey goodness. We finished it anyhow despite our better judgement. I was so full the rest of the night but we had a great experience overall. The wait staff was very attentive, despite the review of others and they appeared to have a very nice team concept when it comes to service because we had three people waiting on us the whole night. They were all friendly, helpful and prompt. Perhaps the others had wait staffs that were just starting out during the initial opening of the place but we found the staff to be fine. The food is good, the waiters are always courteous. We have eaten here several times and it's been great each time.

Went to the Ashburn location and sat at the bar only to be greeted by one of the rudest / most condescending bar tenders I've ever encountered. He was talking about us to other guest at the other side of the bar because there was zero meat on the ribs I ordered and was told that the $9 half rack and the $17 half rack consisted of the same amount of meat and were" the exact same thing" which was his exact words. So I asked if they are the same thing then why did he charge my friend double the price and got no response. Calamari was sub par and the tenders were soggy instead of flaky and crunchy. I've been to the Leesburg location and it was the complete opposite. Everyone was friendly and the food was good so this 1 star yelp review is meant only for the Ashburn location due to some of their staff that were extremely rude with really bad people skills. read more

Great place for a homey "good 'ole American" meal. With great drinks. The mashed potatoes were super creamy and delicious (and obviously made form actual potatoes with the skins on) and made my day. The ribs were tasty and way to big for me to finish, but they made great leftovers, too. Around the table we also tried some appetizers (chips and guac, chili, soup...) the crab cakes (great - it is the north east) and some kids meals. Go figure a kids menu with more than just carbs and fat on it. We sat outside and got in some people watching on a nice night. Come here often with my family. I always get the lobster bisque which is great. Sometimes it can be a little on the salty side but I like salt. The bread is probably not worth eating, but I always do anyway because I can't help myself when it's sitting in front of me. The salads are all great and the steaks are cooked and seasoned to perfection! They usually have some interesting specials and I've had luck with their seafood dishes as well. Love this place- as do many others, so be sure to make a reservation! I've had many of the dishes and do not have any complaints. The entrees are large in portion. I've had steak from several different places around Northern VA, and I have to see BRG NY strip is, hands down, my favorite. The mashed potatoes are delicious. The chicken tenders platter is also wonderful (with yummy, crispy, perfectly salted fries). If you're not feeling in the mood for something heavy, try one of BRG's soups; the lobster bisque and chicken tortilla (soup of the day, just can't remember which day) are my favorites. Last favorite dish is the steak and cheese eggrolls. Sounds weird, but I've had these as a meal and been very satisfied. read more
