Best food in the area, in my opinion. Always go there on special occasions. If you come to Wrightwood, this restaurant is a must try!

This was quite frankly piss poor awful. "Fire roasted" artichoke was flat out burnt and dry and somehow undercooked and seemed to be sitting long before we ever got it like cooked then sat then thrown in fire . The prime rib was their last piece other wise would have gotten three orders (glad we didn't) and was half fat , was my daughters birthday and first time having "prime" rib or prime fat you decide ? I told her that doesn't count and we'll get again somewhere else so she can actually experience a decent prime rib. Next is the cod fish and chips and halibut fish and chips both dishes had awful old reheated in microwave vegetables definitely weren't freshly made and my fathers fish and chips the cod was nicely breaded and golden brown while my halibut fish and chips was barely the color of yellow and batter was falling off and non existent in big patches so huge inconsistencies. My fries were waaaaay over salted while my fathers were fine. My wife's dish was good which was the halibut dish. So 75% percent of dishes were in my mind unacceptable higher percent if count the appetizer , the "irish potatoes" were like something out of a convenient store nightmare, would you like some nacho cheese with that cause that's what you get , they should be embarrassed . I did not make a complaint there cause it took about a hour to be served and by that point was hunger so most of us suffered through all while being way over charged for a lack luster below par food. Will never be back lived up here for 5 years now and we finally decided to eat there what a mistake. I will say though that the waitresses did their job, and the building and decor is nice, the chef is garbage who ever was cooking though. The bread was good though and salad was good but was a lacking at same time , and the clam chowder was excellent. read more

Just had an excellent dinner with 10 friends . The service was very good. But, as we walked out, a local patron stood up and clapped that we were leaving because we were to loud. All I can say is get a life. It wasn't for people visiting the town of Wrightwood, the restaurant might not survive. And by the way, we spent $500.00. Get a life read more

Came here for a birthday dinner and had a great time. Very romantic setting. My fiance loved the steak and lobster tail and I loved the vegan platter, the veggie soup was the best I've ever had. The staff were all really nice and helpful. We will definitely be back for more date nights. read more

My father celebrated his 70th birthday at the restaurant over the weekend. I should have known it was bad to begin with when I initially made the reservation. I was speaking to a lady over the phone and had requested a nice table for my dad since it was a significant birthday - wow, she could not have cared less probably because by this time, she knew the reservation was for a group of Asians (or "orientals" as she probably was thinking). I warned my mother that the restaurant may not be such a good idea but my mother said I was overreacting... Lo and behold, service was horrible. My parents actually felt they were being discriminated by the restaurant and its servers. My mom dropped over $600 for a dinner which included being overcharged by $150 and having to pay 20% gratuity for shi*ty service. The restaurant did agree to refund the $150 after my mom called the next day to complain but seriously, $150??? Luckily for the restaurant, I was not there. But, I'm writing this on behalf of my mother because she was so upset by how her and her guests (9 people) were treated. Who knew in this day and age, especially in Southern California that people could be so racist, and rude? Oh wait - forgot we are now under a "Trump" regime. So if you're white, you'll probably be fine eating here since the food was decent. But if you aren't white or can't speak English well, I suggest going somewhere else. read more

This was our regular ol' visit to Blue Ridge and have become accustomed to Blue Ridge's consistency and slight lack of frills, but during our visit yesterday we were delighted by our experience! The food and service quality have jumped up a notch since our last visit. Our food was great, steaks perfectly cooked. To top it off, our waiter Mark was fun, made us feel genuinely welcome, and always had a smile on his face. Great job guys! read more

Went to Wrightwood to have a getaway weekend and to see Bighorn Mine! Decided to eat at Blue Ridge Inn and was not disappointed! Got the prime rib and it was so deliciously seasoned and it was cooked perfectly where the meat melted in my mouth. Yum, just absolute yum! read more

Been going to The Ridge for over 25 years... out of all the hundreds of dinners I have had here, prob only a couple ones the were less than par, prob because they were too swamped with people. Had the steak and prawns there last night and was pleasantly surprised how good it was! Generous portions and everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection (well...I might not get the Irish potatoes next time). Even the bread basket and side veggies were exceptional. Came to the Blue Ridge Inn for Mother's Day with my husband for an early dinner. I was very pleased with my scallops and baked potato. My husband had the halibut and chips and said it was the best he has ever had. Hubby thought the spinach salad was the best he'd ever had. We live near the beach in So Cal and laughed that we had to go all the way to Wrightwood for great seafood!! We had a reservation for 4pm (time they open for dinner) and our table was ready and waiting for us - we were impressed with the kind service. A very pleasant experience. read more

Always a favorite of ours. Been there at least 8 times and always make a point to do when we are in the area. Martinis are awesome and love the house salad and carrot bread. Always get the Malaysian shrimp which is excellent. Tonight ventured out to try a new chicken dish, which was also off the charts amazing! My husband and I wanted a mini getaway so we decided on a night in Wrightwood at the last minute. We checked out the YELP ratings for places to eat, and the BLUE RIDGE INN did NOT disappoint. The atmosphere was rustic with golf & ski paraphernalia adorning the walls. To be honest, we weren't too hopeful, but were we ever surprised. We ordered the smoked honey salmon appetizer - TO DIE FOR! It's served with cold with a garlic savory spread on the side that was just HEAVENLY with the warm bread. We had a choice between soup and salad and we choose the New England Clam chowder, full of hearty clam chunks and just right on the potatoes. They were out of the prime rib so we split the ribeye, cooked to a PERFECT medium and seasoned just right. It was so wonderful and tender that my husband used a butter knife to cut his. We had a choice for a side and being a cheese fan, my husband selected the Irish potatoes (boiled, sliced and served with melted cheese). For dessert, we ordered the banana cream pie which was creamy, rich, and full of banana pieces not just "banana flavored". For drinks, I stuck with water (I was sick with bronchitis) and my husband ordered a dirty martini. I don't drink those but he was pleasantly surprised when it was served with a lime. Our server was polite, quick, and very helpful in helping us with meal suggestions including a place to eat for breakfast for the next day. Total damage to our wallets including tip was around $50. It was a real fantastic find. It's now Monday and we're STILL talking about it! Will definitely be back! read more

We live and Wrightwood, and although it took a year to go in... we both rather enjoyed ourselves. The bar area is a authentic rustic as you'll get. Very neat.. they often have an oak fire going. It's dark, and wood everything. bar service was a little old school.. crappy beers on tap, and the mixed drinks were geriatric.. but it was passable. The food.. We got some BBQ wings.. great flavor, meaty wings.. but kinda fatty. we both had dinner salads, which were excellent.. and I have baked potato, broiled large scallops, and organic green beans. all was very good, but the green beans were undercooked. My wife got the salmon, and enjoyed it alot.. but it's salmon... so pretty hard to mess up... regardless, they did a good job. Service was great, (the bar was busy. but no one dining on a weeeknight) except a little attitude at first by the older bartenders, but they warmed up to us quickly and were very attentive and nice afterwards. The menu is small, but I hear the steaks and other items are very good. Some say it's expensive, and in comparison to other food places in Wrightwood, it is.. but compared to other fine dining establishments, prices and portions are more than fair. All in all, the only option for fine dining in the area. Worth it for a special occasion or just wanting a step above and beyond... or the very nice rustic mountain atmosphere in the bar. read more

We hadn't been to the Blue Ridge Inn in several years, but had always enjoyed it in the past. My wife and I had the halibut and chips, which were very good. Only negative was the large wedding party in the next room, including noisy kids and adults. However, the staff were apologetic about the situation. First time for me but a family memory spot. We had a thoroughly enjoyable meal from start to finish. They were out of artichokes and baked potatoes crazy as that sounds and that seemed ominous. But rebooted our initial thoughts on our choices and everything from the warm breads, tasty ample salads and entrees of steak ,Shrimp and Chicken Geary were all yummy. For me it's almost impossible to get a really good steak. Been years trying to get one that could match my own abilities at home. But this was the night for a top Sirloin that was scrumptious to the last bite. Ditto for my wife and mom as far as their enjoyments. We had dinner at this restaurant on our 2nd night in this town. The owner had said we could eat outside, the server said we could not, as she was reserving it for a couple with a pet..... The owner recommended the sockeye Salmon which is only available 2 weeks of a year (Fresh - not frozen) we were seated inside and ordered 3 Salmon dinners to be told they were out of Salmon. We then re-read menu and ordered bakers with our new choice of meals, only to be told they were out of bakers! Seriously? Hubby ordered Steak and shrimp, he got a nice steak but only 2 med. shrimp, this restaurant is expensive for the amount of food that you expect and do not receive. Felt we should have been at least comped a round of drinks for their lack of complacency between their staff. read more

They are out of many things but what they do have is cooked to perfection...the stuffed bell pepper soup is THE BOMB! However, my Malaysian shrimp and steak only came with 2 Shrimps, REALLY? The steak was 6 oz??? Anyway the cook is killer but portions are getting smaller over the years and prices are getting higher...order the Chicken Geary plate it's to die for!!!!! read more

We have always been pleased with the service and food at BRI,but just got off the phone with them and I was appalled by the treatment I received. I asked if one of the menu items was gluten free, I was told "I don't know" when I asked if they could check I was told "no!" I've eaten here twice, the first time was during the week, and most recently on a Saturday. Both experiences were wonderful. The service is great. The food is exceptional. They do take reservations, however, we got seated very quickly without one (both times). I ordered the rib eye steak dinner, medium, with split pea soup. OMG....the split pea soup...YUMMM!!! My only complaint was that it didn't come in a larger bowl! My steak was cooked perfectly to my liking. It was just the right size and was flavorful enough to eat without any steak sauce (although I opted for A1 anyway, because I'm just a creature of habit). My fiance and I both ordered a merlot wine, I had their house one and he had the specialty. Both were great, not overly bold, but complimented our meals just right. My daughter ordered their roast beef sandwich, which she said was very good. The french fries were perfectly cooked, crisp and seasoned. We couldn't resist ordering their homemade banana cream pie for dessert. We were happy we did. It was just as delicious as the rest of our meal. Blue Ridge Inn has earned itself a place on our favorites list for sure. read more

The fanciest restaurant in town, with prices to match .. not an every-week sort of spot. Very good food, drinks, and desserts. They have a veggie plate that's not on the menu, but you can ask for it. Full sports-bar style room in the front, separate from the dining area. Yes, the lighting is very dark. Recommended for special occasions. read more

New Years Eve dinner. Very romantic, food was more then excellent with huge portions. A little more expensive than suggested. Steak and shrimp were $36 and the MASSIVE lobster tail was $42. $18 for a shrimp cocktail appetizer, pricey but 6 huge shrimp! We had apple pie for desert. This was my first experience at the Blue Ridge Inn. It was a beautiful night with snow lightly falling. There were 4 people in our party, we all ordered Steak and Malaysian Shrimp. One person had soup, the rest of us the spinach salad. The red potatoes were yummy as were the vegetables. The steak and shrimp were delicious. All of us were full before we had eaten all of our food, but none us wanted to stop eating til it was all gone. (Maybe I shouldn't have eaten so much of the bread). My only regret is that I didn't have enough room to try a dessert. As good as the food was I'm sure the desserts will be equally as good. Will definitely eat here again. read more

Our first visit here and wow, what an enjoyable experience! We've been searching for an upscale dining place up here in the high desert with none to be found until now. Great rustic atmosphere, linen and lighting make it romantic with great staff that was attentive, pleasant and always with a smile.
