Cheese slice just as good as Elizabeth Pizza in Winston-Salem. Brought to the table and nice and hot or warm with good hard texture to the crust. Price at $2.50 a slices very reasonable compared to other locations. Overall rather satisfied. The exterior location leaves a little to desire on the eye. Glad I stopped into sample the pizza. They have a sizable staff working and later on the place got much busier and I'm sure they do good takeouts.

My husband and I ordered via DoorDash because we just got back into town and are exhausted from the 6 hour drive. We got an Antipasto salad and he got a side salad. They were absolutely delicious! The portion for both was more than plenty. It was packed perfectly. It's definitely a place we will eat at again.

Overall 1 star for this particular location. To start off I love to eat at Elizabeth pizza. But this is the first time at this location that I was overall unsatisfied. We placed an online order for a small pizza and garlic knots. We selected the curbside option hoping that when we get to the location it will be ready. We arrive at 6:25p the confirmation says it will be ready around 6:32p. While waiting we noticed a crowd of different people going in and picking orders. It wasn't until 6:45p my wife decided to go inside. Only to find out our order was ready long before already. My wife asked the young lady at the cash register why have a curbside option when it's not available. She replied that you must call and let them know that we are outside. And didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. Mind you we were supposed to get a text when the is ready. That text never arrived until 7:17p long after the estimated time. With the frustration the food we order was cold by the time we arrived home. The site does not advertise that you must call when you arrive for curbside. And in the parking lot it does not state anywhere to call. I need for this location to come up with a better protocol so that future customers don't run into the same issue.

    Very sad SIDE CAESAR SALAD

The absolute worst -ordered a chicken parmigiana sub and side salad. The sub was on a plain hoagie roll , you could toast it at the least -geeze !don't you guys have Instagram to see how these things are done ?!?! The chicken was soggy and rubbery , tasted like biting through an extension cord -the sad looking tiny salad was $3.50 ,I threw it out -big giant fail Liz ! Never again

a plate of spaghetti and meat

I ordered an eggplant parm and this is what I got. Burnt piece of I don't know what! I never saw or tasted eggplant. Overpriced and awful food, my first and last time doing business at this place!

My meal including the 2 dollar tip I left was the 20 dollars, the other 5 was charged with out my permission.

Good food and me and my family have been going there a long time, this past time they charged my card an extra 5 dollars when I only tipped 2 because it was a to go order. I decided it wasn't worth going up there to argue about 5 dollars but I will no longer be leaving a tip and will use cash to pay from now on there.

White Pie; half tomatoes, half broccoli. Delicious!

Cannoli had no filling. Was filled maybe a quarter on an inch in the shell. 80% of the shell had no filling. Very disappointed.

Tucked away in a small strip of businesses off Main Street, it's an unassuming place that is easy to miss but is a must stop. It definitely is more "bar that serves good food" and not a classic pizza place. Service is always friendly and fast, the food is always good, and the drinks too. It's a small location sometimes cramped when they're busy but worth the wait. The only downside here is they close abnormally early for a pub so you've got to go early!

By the standards of the latter, it's nothing special. We ordered a medium George's Combo pizza (pepperoni, sausage, beef, green peppers, and mushrooms) and an order of fried mushrooms. Food was read on-time, and it looked good. The pizza was generously topped, and the mushrooms were a nice golden brown. Those mushrooms were addictively good. Dip them in ranch, and you'll have a hard time stopping yourself from eating more than you should. The pizza was more of a mixed bag. The toppings were tasty as was the sauce: robust with just a hint of sweetness. However, the crust was mediocre, and $20-plus seemed steep for a medium pie. I can imagine that George's might be a fun place to watch a game, and it's certainly convenient, but it's far from the best pizza option in town.

Mixed bag is the best way I can describe the times I have had food from Rome Italian Pizza. I…read moreactually grew up in High Point, but had never eaten inside the actual restaurant until a week ago. That said, I have had pizzas either by take-out or delivery several times over what has to be 30 years now. Lately, I had a couple basic pizzas from them at a function in downtown, and we also stopped in for lunch on a total whim, wanting a pizza buffet. First, the pizzas over the years. I would say, on par with most of the locally owned pizza and local franchise spots around, like an Elizabeth's. Sometimes, I would describe the pizza as dry, other times, the sauce ratio is a little better and it is quite good. The pizza is a solid 4 stars, I would say, if you're considering a pizza... go for it, decide for yourself. Now, our most recent experience inside the restaurant, was simply not a positive one. We came in around 1pm, wanting to do the pizza buffet. Unfortunately, looking at what was available, it just wasn't appealing. The pizza was very cold, it needed a refresh. We expressed this to the waitress. If she had said "we'll make you a fresh pizza of whichever type you want" we'd have been game. That's not the response we got, so we moved on to hot subs. I ordered the meatball sub, my wife ordered chicken parm. The meatball was, just ok. The meatballs themselves were sliced and warm, sauce was the same I was used to from the pizza, cheese could have used more time to melt, but overall... I was OK. Her sandwich, was not good at all. She did write her own review about it, and I happen to agree. It's generally expected that ordering a chicken parm sandwich at an italian pizzeria is going to be a breaded cutlet. What was given was the shaved chicken that you would normally see if someone orders chicken on a pizza (not my thing, but to each their own). The result was very very dry chicken. The sandwich sat on her plate with two bites taken out of it for the meal duration. No prompt was given for whether we enjoyed our meal. In all, I learned my lesson that day, that this place is good for a fresh pizza. I'll only go that route in the future. The sandwiches were simply not our preference. The chicken parm needs to be rethought, or better explained as shaved chicken.

Aside from the kind server and clean interior, this was a terrible experience. We wanted to go to…read moreanother restaurant's pizza buffet, but got there and saw that it was closed, and decided to try this one instead. We took one look at the pizza buffet and decided ordering a fresh sandwich would be better than the cold, unappealing slices sitting out. We were wrong. My partner ordered the meatball sub. It wasn't half-bad. Nothing stellar, but no real complaints. I ordered what was described as a "Chicken Parmesan" sub. What came out was dried, rotisserie chicken with a little bit of bland marinera sauce and mozzarella cheese that wasn't even fully melted. When I read "chicken parm," my assumption is that it's a breaded, fried chicken cutlet baked with marinera and cheese, then placed on a sub roll. Not whatever that was. So I really only had a few bites and couldn't bring myself to continue eating it. A person who appeared to be in management stopped by to ask if I wanted a box, and I kindly replied no thank you. I was somewhat expecting him to ask how the meal was since he clearly saw I didn't eat it. But nothing from him.

Gotta love a good southernism. I still like a whole pizza fresh when it comes to this style. Unless you happen to come at a busy time (actually prefered in this case) you may be getting a re-heated slice that could have been out of the oven for quite awhile. Reheating pizza by the slice to order is of course a common industry practice, but once they sit a bit too long, your end result can be less than ideal. If I think I can eat the leftovers, or definitely if I am sharing with someone, I definitely go the full pizza route. All in all, while I don't tell anyone to rush to Mario's because you absolutely have to have it, it is as reliable as they come at pretty much any of their locations... and that is much appreciated.
