A few years back I gave this a solid 4 stars. We go to two of their locations and their Food Truck from time-to-time, however, this is now our go to for delivery. My wife loves their salads, as do I, and their fried Pizza Balls with marinara are a nice treat. The service is always friendly and there is plenty of seating at this location. Love this local pizza joint. It's been here under 2 names for many years and they do a traditional NY pie. Quality toppings and the dough is very good. So good that when the shop opened up I asked if I could buy dough and ever since then if I want to make pizza at home I buy their dough. $4 for any size, you can't beat that. Employees are always very helpful and very courteous and I like to support local businesses like this when they truly want to become a part of the local community and serve it in the way that they know how. read more

This review is for their food truck. I've eaten Home Slice for quite a few years now. They used to come to my job weekly so I've had my hefty share of their pizza. Solid...nothing amazing, but far from bad or even mediocre. The pizza is real cheesy and fairly large slices. The crust/dough isn't too floppy nor does it quite stand on its own though. The pepperoni is primarily what I have and it's good. Their truck is almost always around any food truck event or normally can find them at some local brewery. It's VERY fast, which I appreciate. Recently had their wings and it's above average - good crisp, but wish it had more garlic & Parmesan for that respective flavor. Would recommend. read more

Solid choice for your regular Friday pizza night or for when the game is on. Grew up in the Chicagoland area and the "well done", "square cut" is about as close to Chicago tavern style as I've come across in the Triad. Wings are decent too. Online ordering is easy and simple. We've eaten there a couple times, but usually have it delivered. Pizza can get a little soggy with too many toppings but Im typically not getting more than one. As long as this place is around, offers well done with square cut, and delivers, it's one of my go-tos. read more

Stopped in for lunch and what a good choice it was. Two monster pepperoni slices, a huge tossed salad, and a drink were so reasonably priced. I really liked the NY style crust and the blue cheese dressing was nicely done. Tangy and thick. The dining room had nice booths and several TV's. I also noticed the restrooms were very clean. Everything we've ordered has been a hit! Orders placed online for pickup have been 100% accurate. Staff and customer service are exemplary and friendly. We are working our way through the menu and so pleased with every item so far. The mushroom appetizer and cannoli dessert have become a "must have" with each order. Didnt get my food as some lady interrupted a call between me and my mother saying if it wasnt for the air force her military husband would still be alive. I dont get it. My dad served in the 1971-75 USAF and from what she said her husband 1983-87. Ordered food for my dad, stood up for my dad, got refunded by a guy named Landon, and told to leave. Reason was and i quote "You cant be rude to the elderly, it doesnt matter what she said but youre in the wrong. I cant serve you and you need to leave". Worst experience ever. There is no ambiance. Idk what to say speechless. Shame on homeslice for that. I have told all my neighbors and friends off pleasant ridge whose properties i service not to go, avoid at all costs. Marco's Pizza is way better. HS Pizza is greasy and soaks through the box. Appetizers are heart attack friendly. If you want decent food, there are other real ny style pizza places. Dont recommend. I do recommend bamboo house next door if your stomach starts to churn at homeslice. Dominoes is right across the street and that taste way better and half the price for the same pizza. I also recommend any Brooklyn style and detroit style over buffalo style. read more

Great value with the lunch specials here, all under $10 which includes a drink. The side salad is quite large and enough for a meal if you're not super hungry. I love their Dagwood sub, their chicken strips tossed in Frank's and their gigantic chef's salad, always fresh with quality meats and cheese. I haven't tried the pizza here yet, shame on me. I love all of the other offerings on the extensive menu but next time pizza will be sampled. The staff is friendly and the food comes out of the kitchen fairly quickly. Whoa, do they have the most ginormous slices of pizza?! I'm not a pizza connoisseur by any stretch of the word, but I do know this is legit NY style. Thin crust, simple, but delicious, and the largest slices I've ever seen. I couldn't even finish one slice, but if you have a hearty appetite you could. You pick your toppings or choose one of their signature combinations. They have weekly specials that come with a slice, side and a drink for $6.75. They charge more per topping, but that's incredibly reasonable! I actually ordered the Buffalo Grilled Chicken Salad and was super pleased. It had a mild Buffalo sauce poured over the chicken and was paired with red onion, cucumbers, White American shredded cheese, tomatoes and cucumbers. It really didn't even need dressing, but a little bit of ranch made it so delicious! It cost $8.50, which isn't bad for the amount! It was a very large portion. My coworkers all enjoyed their pizza choices. A really neat menu item are the Pizza Balls. Their deep fried stuffed pizza balls and you can choose cheese or pepperoni. We cannot say enough great things about HomeSlice. We visited their restaurant on Guilford College so of course we were excited to see them coming to a location closer to our home. If you're looking for pizza! This is the place to go. I've had their food truck on multiple occasions which led me to visit their store. I called in my order and when I got there all I had to do was cash out and my food was ready. The pizza from this place is just absolutely delicious! I can't think of too many pizza restaurants in Greensboro that can compare to home slice. Their thin crispy pizza and deliciously seasoned marinara sauce and slightly crispy pepperonis just make this pizza finger licking! I also got pizza balls and they were sooo good. Nice crunchy outside leading to a nice gooey center filled with pepperonis cheese and the delicious marinara sauce. Oh boy and don't get me started on the ranch! I had to order an entire cup of it! I dipped everything in that ranch for about three to four days lol it's just sooo good and if I'm not mistaken they make it in house. I would say I'm giving this place four stars because my chicken tenders and fries were just inedible. The chicken tenders had more hard unchewable crust than it had chicken and the fires just tasted old. I am sorry to say that I do not like Homeslice NY style pizza at all! Maybe it was because I had just spend 3 weeks in NYC for work and literally ate pizza 15 times. Maybe it was the fact that they refused to deliver to us even though we were in their delivery zone. The pizza lacked flavor and zest and failed the fold test, I was also not a fan of of the fried Mushrooms, they were flat and had no pop to their breading. Prices are okay for what it is and I have to say I did enjoy the ranch. I just don't think we will be back! read more
