This is just a solid no frills bar in NYC with no food. They have pints and shot specials and great music playing. The Guinness pours were pretty good and the not a bad selection of other drinks. This place opens till 4:00am even on the weekdays. The perfect bar for when you land on a late evening or can't sleep because of the jet lag. My buddy and I stumbled upon this bar on a late night and a random weekday and there were multiple people in here enjoying a drink. We sat at the bar and the bartender attended to us right away. This is a no-frills type bar. Drinks were reasonably priced for Midtown. I think the total for 2 beers and 2 cocktails came up to around $45. It's a pretty cool Irish dive bar. Even the bartender had a bit of an Irish accent when he was chatting it up with his Irish customers. The location was very accessible from our hotel. read more

Peter Dillon's is another Irish bar. It seems like a pretty chill place. The bartender and others sounded friendly. It's cleaner than many other bars. The drinks are also cheaper. It's easy to get ripped off in Manhattan bars. It's good to finally find one that doesn't. The Jameson is only about $5 for a shot. Getting a pint glass with ginger ale was about $8. It's not a bad deal. A good place if you just want a post meal cocktail. This one doesn't have food, which is okay because I don't care much for Irish food. Good news if you like this bar. I remember it being kinda dark but very welcoming with a good selection of ales. They had a bunch of TVs with sports on and music playing throughout the pub. Now I love myself an Irish pub. I guess it comes with my heritage. And Peter Dillons is a great one. You walk in and down the stairs too a dimly lit room with stools and seats everywhere. The atmosphere is great with a nice long bar and TV's pretty much everywhere you look. I was with about 10 old co-workers and our waitress was fantastic- I wish I had gotten her name. But she was pleasant and helpful even with the huge group. Loved the $5 Stella pints during the happy hour. My only gripe and the only reason I rocked a star is due to the place not serving any type of food, even some chips or something small. I understand they may not have a kitchen but we ended up leaving due to getting hungry. I definitely will be back for the happy hour specials though loved the vibes here. read more

This bar is a nice find during the days of covid when most places are just plain closed. You feel like VIP too because social distancing tables makes it feel more glamorous. This place has a nice welcoming layout. The Australian Open was on TV last night for me which was perfect too. The bartender was sure to take and document temperatures upon arrival which I thought was excellent. What I didn't like is this bartender took off his mask more times than he should have. He came to me and said without his mask that I could take my mask off while seated. I told him I know that but since his mask was off, I put mine on. Toward the end of the night when the place was closing he told all tables it was closing time soon. He came up to me without a mask and told me this. I didn't have my mask on either. He caught me by surprise. I know we are in challenging times and this mask thing isn't everyone's cup of tea, but if you have that issue, can you please stay away from me? read more
