Smash burgers are delicious lathered with cheese and onions. Burgers are accompanied by a large box of french fries. All the staff are friendly but a bit unorganized. We ordered 4 burgers and 4 boxes of fries but we got 5 burgers and 3 box of fries. The quinoa chili was also very tasty. The chocolate covered marshmallows on a stick look fun although most of them were cracked (possibly old). It's really great how you get to eat in the lodge if you'd like to which is warm and blocked from the cold almost like a greenhouse effect. I like the QR ordering system - it makes it easy for friends to not worry about splitting the check or venmo payments later on. I was interested in trying a Wisconsin-Style Pizza - which is basically a super thin crust, almost flat bread pizza. The Hot Honey Pepperoni ($18) is a must, and the basil on top was a nice addition. They were pretty busy that night, but drinks and food were good for a bar with sports games going on and fans cheering or booing. We were on our way to the Summit and came across this place. We decided to stop to quench our thirst before our experience. We walked up and were greeted by the lovely hostess. We were sat immediately and had a window view of the street. The place it self is nice. We didn't order food just drinks. The place seems like a great place to watch games and have a few drinks with people. They have an upstairs seating area that overlooks the bottom. The atmosphere at Stout is cool and I suppose the space works as a large-group gathering space somewhere between touristy and corporate. The burger is so bad that it's hilarious. "Prime" beef. "Custom" blend. I got one of the worst burgers I've ever had. No effort at all for $19. Frozen mass-produced patty on a roll that was baked on Monday. No sauces. Garnished with lettuce and an absurd slice of tomato. At least it included fries. Service was kinda slow and obviously not optimized for the business lunch crowd. Stopped past this restaurant for a quick bite while in New York for a day trip. We met up with friends and were able to quickly get seating for a party of 6. Time was of the essence as we had to get back to our bus to return home. We ordered quick bites like chicken tenders, spinach artichoke dip and pot stickers along with a few drinks. The waitress was really busy as she let us know that they only had 2 waitresses working the floor. The food was pretty average but, did the job with allowing us to get pretty fast service. Astonishingly rude. Because we didn't jump on a table right away. I asked if my group could take over some tables that were just vacated and was told we'd have to check with the front desk. Ok, fine, I let it pass. Not a big deal. Would have liked to sit down and order food but no biggie. Then someone comes back and told me we could sit. Great! I start waving people over but they're engrossed in conversations so it's taking a moment to rally people. A handful of people start dropping their stuff off to start and I'm standing at the table talking to someone when a bald guy in a plaid shirt yells at me about not using the tables. Popped in for a beer before a show nearby and ultimately felt like it was a bit of a letdown. The menu is fairly extensive so I feel like there's probably a beer that anyone would enjoy (though to be honest the two we got, neither of us really enjoyed). What bummed me about our experience ultimately was the service. We tried multiple times to get the QR code/website to work and it wouldn't accept our info so we resorted to ordering with a waiter. This took a fairly long time to get drinks delivered. Then, when trying to pay our bill, we ended up having to track down the waitress who took our card after a long period of time watching her walk around the restaurant with it tending other customers. Probably took us longer to order and pay for our drinks than to actually drink them. The vibe itself is good. Lots of high-tops and we went on a Sunday so every TV had a different NFL game on. I could see the appeal if you're wanting to spend the length of an entire football game over some beer and wings, but not a good spot if you're looking for a quick drink. read more

I really enjoy this location. The space is large and plenty of room. The tables are not to close together. There is outdoor seating and a long bar area. They have tvs if you are a sports fan. The staff are very nice and attentive. You can ether order directly online and pay online as well or the server can bring you your bill and take your order. I like the option in case it's busy. The food is pretty good here. We had the chicken and waffles and the waffles were definitely more dessert like. They were more like the waffles and dinges waffles with sugar coating. There is cheese inside too and the syrup was more of a honey and had jalapeño flavor. The burger and fries were delicious too. I enjoy their burgers you can have them cooked how you would like. I've tried their other items too before. Good wings, spinach dip, all the bar type foods are available. Prices is reasonable for the area. read more

Every year, my industry has an award show and we have our after party at Stout and it's always a blast. There is enough room for everyone (a little tight with 200+ people but not terrible) and the bartenders and always quick and efficient. Dropped by for a quick bite - the interior was nicely decorated and very clean. The staff got us a table right away and were super friendly and helpful the entire time. We ordered a fish and chips and a stout burger. The stout burger came with sweet potato fries and they were amazing! Really liked the normal fries that came with the fish and chips as well. The burger was average - the bread was a bit dry with the burger, and the oil was dripping from the burger a bit. Tasted good when I added ketchup and the chipotle sauce that came with it. The drinks were great! I didn't get a picture before we drank it all, but the pumpkin ale was great. I don't usually like beer, but really enjoyed the drinks there. The 4th and newest location of Stout, just off Bryant Park on 39th Street, is a huge, beautiful bar with lots of seating and a menu covering all your favorite bar foods and drinks. My party of 3 received a cozy table in a back corner, away from the hubbub. There also appears to be an upstairs area, though I don't know whether that's overflow seating or just for special occasions. Our server took good care of us during our visit, making sure we got everything we wanted. I was a little let down by the selection of dark beers, which has dwindled year after year and now only represented by Guinness and Breckenridge vanilla porter. I miss the old days when Stout lived up to its name and offered a wide variety of dark beers. Perhaps the market just isn't there. Still, the beers we did order were cold and crisp. Later I switched to Jameson and soda, which was a very light pour (barely tasted the whiskey) but that's what you get for $12. The food was good! My friend ate his entire burrito bowl down to the last grain of rice. I was modestly impressed with the sliders, which are great for sharing or if you prefer three mini-burgers instead of one normal-sized burger. The fish and chips also hit the spot, with two big pieces of flaky cod and a basket of delightful french fries. Stout is a clean, modern sports bar/Irish pub with plenty of character. I'm curious about the "Wisconsin-style" thin crust pizza, and I encourage you to order the calamari buffalo style. Hopefully they'll be able to get some more stouts on the menu someday. read more
