I have been wanting to come here for a while now and finally stopped in. The fried shrimp ranchero wrap was very tasty, and they have the delicious, crispy fries with it. The place was pretty dead for a Wednesday night, and the trivia began at 7:00 with what seemed like a bunch of regulars. Service at the bar top was good and employees were friendly. I will be coming back here as they have daily deals that I want to try out!

Driving range ... really nice and assigned waiter per bay... fun!

This place has really been upgraded (Arnold Palmer Signature Design) in the past few years, and they now have an amazing covered driving range. Each bay comes with a table for dining, and wait staff, allowing you to order drinks and food while you play. The bays are first come first serve, so If you see a bay open it's yours. The only thing you need to do to get started is purchase a token(s) from the staff and you can use the token to purchase your golf balls from a vending machine. The basket of golf balls cost $7 (small bucket) and $11 (Large bucket) depending on the size basket you chose. There is no time limit on play, so you can play as long as you have purchased golf balls. They also have great weekly specials: Monday - Friday: Happy hour 4pm-6pm (ask your server for drink specials) Tuesday 4pm-9pm: $.60 Wing Night (Buffalo, Cajun Ranch, Honey mustard, Jerk, Lemon Pepper, Teriyaki, BBQ, or Signature dry rub) Friday 4pm-9pm: $5 Burger night (comes with fries) We went on Friday and opted in for the $5 burgers and they were great! There was even a line outside the onsite restaurant, of people waiting to taking advantage of the discounted burgers. If you're using the driving range you can order from your server, so no need to wait in line. They also offer a full food menu which offers appetizers, salads, flatbreads, sandwiches, wraps, tacos, and baskets. Plenty to choose from. Driving Range hours: Monday: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM Tuesday - Sunday: 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM Definitely a great place to have some friendly fun, and the food and play prices are great! (which allow you to completely enjoy yourself) We will be back!

We all started off with our own wine flight and I think we all got the Whites of the World one, which was delicious!! I split one with my friend, which was a good amount for us, but you could definitely order your own too. For appetizers, we got the specials burrata and Brussels sprouts. Both were amazinggggg but the best was the Brussels sprouts. I always thought I didn't like them but after eating these I found out I do! That sauce is amazing. For my entree, I got the chimichurri steak. It had great flavor, but was a little cold. I guess I didn't get any pics of dessert because it was just that good but we got the sticky toffee cake and I'm still dreaming about it!! So delicious!! Our waiter, Jonathan, was so sweet, and already split the items we split on the bill for our group like dessert without us asking and very knowledgeable of the menu especially different wines. Will definitely be back!

I used to absolutely love this place. It was our go-to for seafood, celebrations, family dinners,…read moreand special occasions for years. We recommended it constantly and genuinely enjoyed supporting them. Unfortunately, after our last few experiences, that loyalty is completely gone. The problems really started during a dinner visit with my spouse. We had a reservation for two and specifically requested a booth because my spouse has herniated discs and booths are much easier on her back. The hostess with glasses told us there were "no booths available for parties of two," so we were seated at a tiny two-top directly in front of an empty booth. Minutes later, another couple - who apparently didn't even have the correct downstairs reservation because Wheel House was closed for a private event - was seated in that exact booth instead. When I politely questioned it, I was told they were "accommodating them." Interesting, because apparently accommodating a medical issue for customers with a reservation didn't matter. Still, we decided to give the restaurant another chance for Mother's Day. To their credit, we were seated at a booth this time after I both noted it in the reservation and called ahead to confirm it. Our waiter was someone we immediately recognized from a previous visit, and my parents mentioned he had waited on us before at that same table. Somehow, from that comment alone, he became convinced we were related to Chef Tim Tillus. From there, things got bizarre. He kept talking about "Timmy," mentioning reunions and saying he used to live with him. The restaurant was extremely loud, and my father had forgotten his hearing aids that day, so honestly we could barely understand what he was talking about. We just smiled politely and focused on asking about the menu because we truly had no clue where the conversation was going. Eventually, he came back and realized we were NOT Chef Tim Tillus' family. He then explained that the kitchen staff had apparently been laughing because the chef saw us and said, "That's not my family." So somehow this became a whole ordeal in the kitchen over a completely innocent misunderstanding. We laughed awkwardly because what else do you do at that point? But honestly, the whole interaction felt strange and unprofessional. Unfortunately, the food was even worse than the awkward service. My spouse ordered the all-day seafood soup, and somehow there was basically ZERO seafood in it. That alone was shocking because their soups used to be incredible. My father ordered the broiled platter, and the portion size was honestly embarrassing for a $29 dish. His parsley potatoes consisted of literally five tiny cubes - my mother counted them because we were in disbelief. We have eaten here for years and NEVER saw portions this small. I ordered the fish special, and it was nothing like described. It was supposed to have pecans and blackening seasoning. There were no pecans, no blackening seasoning, and the fish itself was dry, bland, overcooked, and flavorless. For $32, I was served what looked like a tiny sad pile of fish in the middle of a giant empty plate. The pork chop looked beautiful but tasted absolutely awful. At this point I honestly don't know if the kitchen quality has completely collapsed or if nobody is checking food before it leaves the line anymore. Either way, it was terrible. My mother ordered scallops on the half shell as her meal - something she has enjoyed there many times before. This time, the scallops were tiny and somehow greasy. It was shocking these dishes were even leaving the kitchen. What makes this so disappointing is that we truly loved this restaurant. We weren't casual customers. We supported this place for years because we believed the food and experience were worth it. This wasn't just a mediocre meal or an "off night." This was a genuinely terrible dining experience from start to finish, made worse by the fact that it happened on Mother's Day. The service felt awkward and disorganized, the portions were insulting, the food quality was awful, and there seemed to be zero quality control happening anywhere. At this point, our money will be supporting other establishments instead. It's honestly sad because this place USED to be special. I sincerely hope management fixes the kitchen, consistency, and overall professionalism before even more longtime customers walk away.

We were able to choose if we wanted to be seated outside or inside so that was nice as well. We chose to be seated outside upstairs. I was a little nervous at first but it was cool, not too hot and I noticed they had fans that could be turned on if it was too hot outside. So that was nice. It was a chill night, not crowded at the top so everyone was able to just talk and we didnt have to yell to hear one another. For drinks, we ordered a few. We had the V.I.P. Old-Fashioned, Paper Planes, and a watermelon based drink. Each one was tasty but the Paper Plane would be my least favorite. We had the shrimp Diablo for the appetizer. This is definitely a must get. Everything blended well together and the flavors were just really good. For food we ordered the hanger steak, a ribeye, risotto, mashed potatoes and the crab macaroni and cheese. The ribeye has more flavor than the hanger but the hanger was still good. The risotto and the mashed potatoes were very flavorful and just comforting to eat. The crab macaroni and cheese was my least favorite. There were a few shells in it and the flavor of the crab did not pair well with the macaroni and cheese. I would give this place another visit. My favorites were the shrimp Diablo, the risotto, mashed potatoes and the ribeye!

Things that stood out to me upon entry included its large interior that's spread out with a nice variety of seating and sections. The full service bar was active with people who seemed to know each other pretty well. In addition, it was busy during the visit on a weekday that usually is a slower day for a restaurant. I did notice and liked the art on the wall and knew I'd find it a nice place to visit during CFB and the NFL season. With all that said, I also found the service here to be solid. Stephanie is as good as any veteran server I've experienced. Her knowledge of the popular items was sharp and everything we ordered was as good as she said it would be. I also liked that she would still visit our table regularly even during the rush hour time frame. Another area in which I was highly impressed was the value of what you order, at least in way of the sandwiches. I ordered a fish sandwich that would make a Micky-D's fish sandwich look like a minnow! It was large on a softer white bun. The fish (I cannot recall what kind) was very tender and everything really blended together with it (the tomatoes, lettuce, pickles), especially after I added the tartar sauce. My meal included coleslaw - a very well-prepped popular style version. I could've taken some of this meal home, but it was so good that I pushed my way through it! My Dearest chose the Rueben sandwich. A superb choice! Again, the sandwich is large, made of the normal rye bread, thousand island, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and sliced corned beef. She chose the fries with it, but I'll admit that those could have been a little fresher/hotter. Seemed they sat in the fryer bin for a little too long. But the sandwich itself was great! I ate half of it the next day and I do appreciate that Jerry's uses a high quality corned beef brand - very little fat on the meat. It was a great visit and I will add one more positive thing that will attract people to Jerry's Grille. That is, the value of what you get is just about the best I've seen from a restaurant in quite a while. Usually when I go out, dinners for two are over $40 for us, not including the tip. This dinner at Jerry's with our two (large) sandwiches, fries, coleslaw, and beverages, landed at $34, not including the tip - I was impressed and it helped me increase our tip to the server! I would only say that Jerry's Grille looks a little oldish inside and perhaps could use some renovation/updating of the interior. Though I like the art and the monitors, its classic look has aged to a point, in my own view, that calls for some new wall dressing and painting. But still, I would come here anytime to eat - very comfortable and enjoyable place to visit for dinner! Recommend - HIGH

Our friends we were with ordered a pretzel for the table and shared with us. It was a really good, plump pretzel. Served with Mustard and Beer Cheese for dipping. That beer cheese was perfect! For our entrees we both went with a burger since Jacksonville Restaurant Reviews rated them #8 in Jax for burgers. I had the "It's A Me, Mario" while my husband opted for the "Classic" burger. I very much enjoyed mine. I'm a sucker for prosciutto on anything. The saltiness from the prosciutto worked well with the combination of the pesto and mozzarella. Not a bad combo at all. I also loved the sweetness from the balsamic glaze on it. Hubby is a big smash burger fan, but said this didn't feel like a smash burger. He liked it and said it was a really good burger, but when it comes to the smash burgers, he really digs the crispy edges on the patty. He was happy with how it all tasted and the burger sauce they used. He did say he'd prefer the sauce on top of the patty because he felt it made the bottom bun just a little mushy, but it wasn't a deal breaker for him. I also got the opportunity to use my Scoop Card for BOGO beers! I meant to use the card the other day at EZ Eatz, but forgot too, but I made sure to remember tonight! Also our server, Christian is believe was his name, was super friendly and attentive and took great care of us. All around great visit. Bonus photos and thoughts from my previous visit: Fried Green Tomato BLT - LOVED IT. Sonoran Dog - Was different, but good. Nachos with pulled pork - Perfect for game days and snacking. 10/10 recommend! The nachos have been my favorite so far.
