Seriously it took us years of seeing their banner on the main road advertising $5 burger nights on Fridays before I up an decided we would try them before a concert. First- they are busy! A great sign, they had no tables available inside- so we were seated outside. It was sunset and the wind was picking up, so our server moved us inside as soon as she had a table open up! We ordered a couple of cocktails and went with the special, there is an upcharge for extras like cheese and bacon- we both added cheddar and bacon to our burgers. Before the sunset completely- you have a view of the golf course. Out front you'll see planes landing and taking off from the airport. Burgers were very good, fries were also great! I appreciated the exceptional service- we were checked on by a couple different servers- I do like when staff work as a team and look out for all tables. I can't wait to try their brunch! We are frequent flyers here at Blue Sky. Usually it's hit or miss but never so bad that we don't want to come back. However tonight was just so bad. Out of everything, I was most disappointed with the kids meals. It was 65 cent wing night and I would've been better off buying the kids plain wings rather than a kids meal. The meal came with literally two bites of chicken and fries. A kids meal is meant for up to 12 year olds and this would never be able to come close to filling up a 12 year old. We had to get even more food for our kids after the kids meal. We would have complained but after addressing the first issue with our server, she ended up snobbing us and ignoring us for the rest of the night. I sat without a drink for 15-20 minutes. She helped all the tables surrounding us but never cared to look at us or check on us until I had to yell for her as she was walking away. I have been wanting to come here for a while now and finally stopped in. The fried shrimp ranchero wrap was very tasty, and they have the delicious, crispy fries with it. The place was pretty dead for a Wednesday night, and the trivia began at 7:00 with what seemed like a bunch of regulars. Service at the bar top was good and employees were friendly. This place was great! We just ate here this evening, then hubby played some golf at the bays. The golf side of things was a bit rocky (monitors were not working properly), but that's not what this review is about. This place has your typical bar type of food with lots of options. Hubby and I had the chicken Philly with fries and side salad. All were delicious. One of our kids had the pepperoni flatbread, which she did not care for (she loves pizza and knows what she likes), and our youngest had chicken tenders & fries from the kids menu. The service was great along with the atmosphere (can watch people play golf while you eat and the airplanes when you first come in and on the patio areas). They also have trivia every Wednesday, which we may need to attend one of these nights. Other specials are offered throughout the week, too! The staff were all friendly and helpful considering it was our first time coming here and we have no complaints. We'll hopefully be back again before we move! read more

Recently I was at Blue Sky Restaurant/ Bar. We had a great time and the service was good. The reason we went was to watch the Jags game. Last year it was the place to be. Appetizer specials and drink specials. Last week they said they would not be doing that this football season. Was wondering if they would reconsider bringing that back. This place has really been upgraded (Arnold Palmer Signature Design) in the past few years, and they now have an amazing covered driving range. Each bay comes with a table for dining, and wait staff, allowing you to order drinks and food while you play. The bays are first come first serve, so If you see a bay open it's yours. The only thing you need to do to get started is purchase a token(s) from the staff and you can use the token to purchase your golf balls from a vending machine. The basket of golf balls cost $7 (small bucket) and $11 (Large bucket) depending on the size basket you chose. There is no time limit on play, so you can play as long as you have purchased golf balls. They also have great weekly specials: Monday - Friday: Happy hour 4pm-6pm (ask your server for drink specials) Tuesday 4pm-9pm: $.60 Wing Night (Buffalo, Cajun Ranch, Honey mustard, Jerk, Lemon Pepper, Teriyaki, BBQ, or Signature dry rub) Friday 4pm-9pm: $5 Burger night (comes with fries) We went on Friday and opted in for the $5 burgers and they were great! There was even a line outside the onsite restaurant, of people waiting to taking advantage of the discounted burgers. If you're using the driving range you can order from your server, so no need to wait in line. They also offer a full food menu which offers appetizers, salads, flatbreads, sandwiches, wraps, tacos, and baskets. Plenty to choose from. Great place for lunch. Today I had the cheese steak hoagie with sweet pitas fries. They have weekly specials that are very popular. Service is normally very fast and the staff is wonderful. They have a great area for caged like golf. It is a fun place to hang out. Parking is limited but I have always found a spot. read more

Went for $0.60 wing night on Tuesday. They had a packed house! Wings were decently sized and the flavors ( Cajun ranch, BBQ, lemon pepper and honey mustard) we tried were great! Burger and fries were big enough for my kids to split and we were happy with the drink selection. They seem to have very intriguing specials every night ( $0.60 wings on Tuesday, trivia weds, Texas hold 'em on Thursday and $5 burgers on Friday). I didn't see any drink specials but I'm sure we will be back. Oh! And there is a golf course around here somewhere too! read more

What brought us to Blue Sky Bar and Grill was their advertisement on their website for 10 wings and 2 beers for $10. When we got there we were informed that the special was no longer available. However, it was still being advertised on their TV. Besides the point, we ordered 20 Cajun ranch wings. Only 10 wings came out initially. Then when the other 10 came out they were completely different; dry. We told the server that these wings were not the same. (The first set of wings had no sauce on them and the second set was covered in sauce) The waitress proceeded to tell us that they are in fact the same. We asked for them to be taken back and remade correctly. She came back 20 seconds later with the same wings only covered in new sauce. When I asked her if they were the same wings she stated that, "She didn't know and did not know what was going on" then walked away. Our actual server came back to the table just to make sure everything came out and did not ask how anything was. An hour went by and we were waiting on our check. Only to find out that our server left for the night. We got up and went inside to pay our tab. Needless to say this place has a lot of potential. The food review we read was positive for the wings, and I'd heard good things from friends on the burgers. The folks who filed the written review and my friends need professional help. Not sure we're talking about the same spot... 5 minutes waiting for at table, 20 minutes before the appetizer, and the appetizer came with our dinners. The wings (our appetizer) were average at best. My burger and my son"s chicken sandwich; average at best. I'm guessing everything we had came off of a Sysco truck, which again, ain't bad but is average at best...go to have a drink and gaze at the course... And don't be in a hurry for anything. read more

Honestly...probably the "nicest" bar in Arlington. It's super clean, had an open atmosphere, and a kind staff. Service was rather slow, however, and we were sitting at the bar. On wing night, when a crowd could be expected, we were told we couldn't order for awhile because they just couldn't fry a lot a once...seems like poor planning. I'll be back!! I stopped by today to hit balls and have lunch. The Pow Pow Shrimp was delicious and a much appreciated recommendation from my server. The service was pleasant and prompt. I'm only giving 4 vs 5 stars because the dirty grey goose martini that I ordered was warm and tasted off but my server politely took it off my bill. I also wish the rightie tees were not located so close to the division walls on the range. It makes it hard to aim at the various targets when you're up against the wall. Ahhh where do I begin? Well I walk in at 750 on a Tuesday night and it's busy so I figure it will take a minute. I sit at the bar and order a beer and at 8 I order my wings. It's coming up on 8:30 and decide to order Togo food just in case the kitchen is a bout to close. Bartender tells me the kitchen is too busy and can't keep up on orders so I can't order ToGo food. To that I say ok no problem. 8:50 comes along the bartender asks if I want to cancel my order? Like WTF?! Why would I cancel my order after 50 minutes? She proceeds to attempt to get loud and act as if I don't know what I'm talking about. She did not one time check on me or ask if I needed anything which is why in an hour all I got was a coke, no refill, and 1 beer. If it wasn't for Austin actually being good at his job this bar staff would be clueless. She then dropped my check at 9 and acted as if I was the being unreasonable, attempted to apologize but couldn't even keep it together long enough to not make up an excuse. I called and asked if a bay was open for the driving range and the girl put me on hold and said she is checking. She came back to the phone and said yeah a couple were open. When I walked in after calling, I asked about the bays. I don't know the girls name that I talked to at the bar but she was extremely rude. All I know is she had two pigtails and a clip in her hair. She asked me if a bay was open when I told her I was there for a bay. I didn't know because I don't work there?? That's her job and something she should probably keep up with?? Ha. Anyways we didn't get a bay because there was someone else there before us (which is fair) and she made sure to let us know that they were there first then walked away and didn't say anything else so I just walked out. It's not a huge deal I didn't get to do the driving range but the way her attitude was, was disgusting and is the sole reason of my review.
