    Grilled Salmon

Had a reservation for a party of 8 on a Friday evening and requested to upstairs. The view is better from upstairs and it's also quieter than down so easier to chat with the group. Our servers were friendly but busy and it took a little bit to get our drinks and apps. Ordered an assortment of apps including fried green tomatoes, oysters, and pimento cheese. They were easy to share and a good start to the meal. Entrees we had a variety as well- some had the salmon, others the fish special (Turbot), and 1 had the broiled seafood platter. I personally love the salmon entree with the sautéed spinach and potatoes. The salmon was cooked perfectly, and I love the hollandaise on top. I think our entire group cleaned their plates which must've been a good sign we all enjoyed it!

Actually have been here a few times since my lower rating, and enjoyed a lot. To be fair, I should have updated my rating then. We came again for Father's Day- reservations made in advance. Seated on time, seated on the top- by the window, quieter than downstairs and a wonderful view. Server was great. Food: Calamari- only ok, not a lot of flavor at all. Shrimp and grits- large serving and good. Bitter beans, always good- maybe didn't need so much (lesson learned( Crabcakes- this time lacked in comparison to others in terms of flavor and freshness. Really good French 75s. Still a good visit overall and would try again.

Excellent locals place with delicious fresh seafood and a clean but chill vibe. Right near the water. Tons of specials so be sure to ask your server. Highly recommend.

I would definitely recommend getting a reservation here because it gets really busy! Also because if you're celebrating something, they have a cute little board with your name on it in the front! The grilled octopus & white bean salad was really nice and light. The texture of the octopus was decent too for being grilled. After our appetizer, it did take quite a while for our entrees to come. But again they were pretty busy so it was understandable. Just be aware if you're waiting on timed parking! We didn't realize until after, but apparently valet parking is validated here! I really liked the sauce of the spicy seafood linguine. The spice is pretty subtle, and overall the dish was basically clam pasta with some extra seafood. I really liked the scallops in this dish. The broiled seafood platter was probably my favorite of the night. All of the seafood was delicious of course, but the potatoes were kind of the highlight for me. They were super creamy, especially when they absorbed all the seafood juices. I will say though, in the moment, nothing tasted too salty, but going home, I was sooo thirsty the rest of the night. The workers are super friendly too, making sure to check on us every once in a while. Our server knew we were celebrating a birthday, but that we were going somewhere else for dessert, he was so nice and still brought us a candle and some matches to bring to where we did get dessert!

Well, North Beach is and has always been amazing, but for my birthday dinner Kate made it exceptional! Thank you so much Kate!

Terrific food served by friendly and competent staff that stay with the company for a reason. Nearly impossible to hear anyone though.

I've been numerous times over the years, this latest visit was for a large birthday party- so large, we basically took over the upstairs! Quay was our personal server and I think he was our bartender too- although there was another person back and forth behind the bar. We added a little chaos to the mix with a handful of family who showed without rsvp-ing. Add in toddlers plus easily 15 people.... Yeah- mad respect for Quay!!! I admit to being sad that I couldn't get my broiled platter- that is my favorite Fish Camp dish, and apparently not available for lunch. I pivoted and got the steam pot for 2. For myself. And guess what- I ate all the crab, hmmm so happy! Laugh- it was hilarious, I was still cracking crab while everyone sung happy birthday! I was thrilled. I brought home most of the potatoes, corn and such- it even had mushrooms and broccoli! YUM! My old fashioned was also perfection in a glass. John had the shrimp and fish basket and loved every bite. Several raved about the shrimp and grits. Caron loved her mahi mahi. Connor got the Spicy Wild Caught Shrimp Linguine with White Wine, Garlic, Tomato, Pecorino and inhaled it! Even the kiddos were super happy with the kids chicken strips, although the kitchen delivered the first plate to the wrong toddler and the lovely parents didn't question how they got food without ordering and that little girl dug right in. Opposite end of the table- this grandma spoke up and we split the food so all the littles were fed. Considering our chaotic group, it went very well. I didn't hear a single complaint from our party. Hopefully we didn't drive the staff too crazy!

We were actually going to AB kitchen in Atlantic beach but wound up at North beach Fish camp which is right across the street in Neptune Beach. Bith restaurants have the same owner, surprisingly! We found parking right in front of the latter. Eric, our server gave us the run down since we have never been in here before. It was worth the trip to Neptune/Atlantic Beach. Wifey had the chicken w, grits and collars greens. I had the Baja tacos. Both of us had a cup of the blue crab soup with real crabs. Wifey had the mimosa of course. I had the legendary bloody Mary. For deseert we had the chocolate bread pudding a la mode. This is the first but won't be the last. We are planning a starvation to Atlantic beach and North Beach fish camp is on our radar for sure!

This is normally one of my favorite spots but tonight was not their finest. Im giving grace because it was very busy but everything fried tastes like old grease and a little burnt. The soup was cold which was surprising. The margaritas were tasty though. I will go back to give it another try because I normally really like them

This is one of my guests-in-town go-to spots. The waitstaff is friendly and skilled. The restaurant manages to feel both casual and high-class at the same time. It can get a little noisy, which is why I gave it four stars instead of five. My favorite dish is the spicy seafood linguine. And the fried gator always delivers.

Wow - what an unexpected gem! We came in for a late breakfast/early lunch around 11:30 a.m. and were completely wowed by the specials. I had the cod served over coconut jasmine rice with a coconut sweet potato purée - absolutely outstanding. My honey ordered the blackened mahi on a brioche bun with avocado and aioli, along with their famous French fries, and it did not disappoint. The service was exceptional. Our server was friendly, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable about both the menu and daily specials. He was also attentive to my gluten intolerance and even checked with the chef about one of the recipes I asked about. To our surprise, the chef came out personally to explain how he prepared the Thai-inspired cod dish - talk about above and beyond! The restaurant itself has a casual yet stylish coastal vibe and is conveniently located on the corner of a shopping area. Even the bathroom stood out - newly remodeled with marble countertops and spotless. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for amazing food, warm service, and a relaxed coastal atmosphere.

Not going to lie I had very low expectations here. But they were amazing. Went with a group of 8 and everyone raved about their dishes. I ordered the seafood platter and its was delicious. Also, the price?! Amazing. For apps we shared the fried clams, calamari, and gator. Everyone at the table agreed that it was the best gator they have had! 10/10 recommend!!

The shrimp scampi really hit the spot! This is the perfect coastal stop to wrap up brunch before taking a stroll through the charming beach town on your way to the beach, saw the Atlantic for the first time. Such a fun and relaxing way to spend the day!

Ask the Community - North Beach Fish Camp

Are dogs allowed in the outdoor dining area?

    Yes

What is the dress code here exactly?

Casual beachy, but not bathing suits. Decent shorts and nice T-shirt or short sleeves are fine.

Is it a safe dining option for people with gluten allergies (celiac disease)?

I ordered the grilled seafood platter with shrimp scallops, cod zucchini and potatoes. Unless there was gluten in the seasoning I believe it was. Very delicious!

Can you bring your own wine?

Yes - I seen other customers BYOB (uncertain if NBFC charges a corking fee)

I was one of 6 in a group and had great conversation and larger than expected appetizers. I ordered a flight of reds, broadening my tastes to explore a Tempranillo. It was my favorite, actually, and paired well with the Shanghai Short Rib! I was pleasantly impressed. I did have the crab, shrimp and lobster bisque for my appetizer, the seasonal Shanghai Short rib for my entree and the peach butter cake to finish. Truthfully, I was finished long before the dessert, but had to taste each course. It was delectable! Personally, I would've appreciated more spice in the Shanghai sauce, but it was tasty for a more general palate and customer base. There's some risotto that called to me, so I will definitely return! Our server Frenchie also made it very clear that she's only working for tips - but she wasn't working very hard for them. Not only did she belittle our party for our ages, but also made it our problem for taking our food/drink orders late. One person in our party asked a question regarding an entree on the menu and he was met with a smart remark and little to no detail explaining the entree. Later on in the night when the whole table is done eating - we all decide to help out and clean up the table as best as we can. Frenchie decided it was a good time to make yet another smart remark about stacking the plates on top of each other. She continued to say "Have you ever been a server before?" and before really answering she cut me off to say "well then you should know not to stack the plates because you don't know if the server can handle that many plates" ... as she continued to take the pile of dishes out of my hand. If she can't handle too many plates in her hands, then she should've just waited to clear the table or politely say "i'll come back for those plates in a minute" by the end of it all , the entire table felt very uncomfortable by her demeanor towards us - of course we still tipped because we understand what it's like to make a living off of tips but to have a sour attitude and continually reminding us that you're here for tips isn't a great way of having customers coming back.
